My experience was awful. My hair was cut in a pixie 2 years ago and has not grown out much since. It is damaged and I know that. Still needs to be trimmed, I was given Nadia when I called and said my hair was very short. I was looking for highlights as well. My appointment was 1:30. I hit the seat at 1:33, left for another few minutes. When she returned she said she could not help with anything and basically walked away. My consultant was less than a minute and she never touched my hair. Very rude. I went to front desk where they said Emily could look. She was willing to highlight. But at this point I was very uncomfortable. I was embarrassed for standing there looking like no one would really want to help. After looking at the website, I realized the GM watched the whole thing and said nothing to me. Just let me leave. Almost in tears. It is very hurtful. Very disappointed in the service. She is friendly and listens to all requests. Masta is very accommodating and will always try to fit me into her schedule if I ever need an appointment on short notice. She is punctual, fast, a great communicator and multitasker. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks! She has also been cutting my kids hair for the last 10 years, they won't go to anyone else. It was my first time at the Eclipse. I was booked with a master stylist, $98 a haircut. OK, pricey, but it was a late moment booking. I was happy they had an opening and also with an experience stylist! What can go wrong, right? I was excited to freshen up my split ends before the holidays. And... it became my worst haircut and experience EVER! Before coming in, I had a long thick wavy hair and wanted to trim it only an inch. My hair was chopped off for about 3 inches!!! I was given horrible short layers on the front and the bangs that sit 1" above my eyebrows. Not what I asked!!! We specifically talked about the bangs and the stylist said she knows what she was doing... The other disappointing part, is that the hairdresser was constantly bothered by other employees. They asked her to cut other client's hair because the assigned hairdresser didn't know how to do it. Then her own client came 30 min early and stopped by us for a little chat. (?!) Then my hairdresser decided to set up that client for a hair wash, which again took time out of my cut and created distraction for the hairdresser and for me too. Few minutes later, it turned out that this "early client" happened to come for color, not for cut. Ups... no need for hairwash... The whole rearrangement of taking the client out of the washing chair, color mixing questions that assistants asked my stylist took time and attention. My hair was rushed and I was basically pushed out of the chair to check out. Why?? Didn't I pay for a full service ?? Anyway. I saw the damage right away. But my hair didn't look THAT bad while it was styled. It was too short. But it's hair, it will grow out... And I still left a tip for the stylist. But, when I washed my hair next day, I was terrified (!) HOW short and choppy and uneven the cut was. I wish , I have never set a step into the Eclipse and never had that master stylist to touch my hair! read more

If you have thick. Wavy, I mean you wake up and one side is waving to the other, Asian fine hair. This is the salon to go to. For years, I've gone throughout NOVA trying to find someone who can layer my hair without just chopping it blunt or cutting at the ends of my hair to give it "texture" or thinning it out and working with it until it's too short. I've gone to BUBBLES, Drock, Rodi, Red Door, etc. Finally!!! Someone knows how to work with my hair. I don't have the traditional straight asian hair, mine can never be brushed or else my waves go everywhere. But I am so relieved I had the perfect layers added!! read more

I was a long time customer of Ashley's at Hier and Haines. About ten years ago, she left H&H to focus on her children and transitioned me to Masta. I have been with Masta since. And have loved having her as my stylist. During Covid, H&H absorbed into Eclips. Masta and her clients moved with that absorption. I was worried we might lose the personal touch. Once again, my worries were unfounded. Smooth transition. Back to Masta. love her. She is so great with color and cuts. She also takes extra time to really listen. She will suggest tweaks but isn't pushy and is really a great listener but is innovative and keeps up on all the new advancements. Years ago, I had a straightening process at a different salon and I liked it but there were things that I didn't love (too straight)and she suggested a combo of keratin and Japanese but also offered alternatives. She was great at telling me what the pluses and minuses are of the different treatments that she could offer. Also, she was great about giving me her cell in case I had any questions on care and treating of the keratin during the days I could not shampoo in case anything went awry during my sleeping hours. Which it didn't. It turned out great. It eliminated the summer frizz I hate. Highly recommend. I have referred friends and they are also fans. Masta is a consummate professional. Can't say enough good things about her or Eclips. I know she is great at extensions because I have seen her handiwork but that is one service I haven't had with her read more

I went this salon because a friend goes there. I was disappointed with my hairstylist . I explained to her that I wanted a style that it would be manageable not too shirt . Also to color the gray hair. Not too impress usually stylist who are qualified would recommend what it would be nice to you. She brought the samples for me to choose didn't quite check my hair color. I have on other top quality salon who go over with you and the check your hair to let you know what they recommend. This lady hardly communicated with me . I felt she didn't know how to apply the color. This is very expensive color one day after I can see the white hair still. I would not go back to this salon again.
