What a treat this was! I was out shopping and had to pop by the abc store. I noticed when I came out there was a nail place and it was open. So I popped in for a manicure. The place looks very clean inside and they have plenty of colors to choose from. I was back and forth with what I wanted nail wise and my nail technician worked with it and was fine with it. The worst experience I've had at a nail in my life. This place is literally the biggest rip-off with the rudest staff. I went in for a regular polish change on my toes and a gel polish change on my hands. Not a fill, just a polish change! They charged me $55... First, they changed my toes polish and I had polish around my toes. She did a messy job. I was charged $18 for a regular polish change, no cut down, nothing... Second, they did my gel polish change on my hands. I anticipated this was going to be more expensive since it is gel polish. But I did not expect it to be $35 just for a polish change. My biggest thing was the rude customer service. The lady I asked for the prices was extremely rude and when I said that's a little much for a polish change, her reply was "well that's what we charge here." After her rude response, she asked me if I still wanted to do it. At this point, half of the gel polish is off and there's still a polish on my nails. Like um... what. Don't go here. Worst experience ever. Had a 4pm appointment and by 4:30 hadn't even been greeted. Paid for a spa pedicure - was worse than the regular pedicure at my usual salon. Requested extensions with gel mani. My nails ended up looking like skittles at the end of my fingers. The fill was mishapen and lumpy - thick all over, with varying degrees of thickness so they were bumpy. The worst is that I'd asked for them to be evened out after seeing the initial results and three different technicians didn't find anything wrong with what she'd done. It was so badly that I went to my usual salon two days later to get them fixed. My usual technician discovered that the fill was already lifting from my nail, indicating that it wasn't done properly along my cuticles. She had to do a refill after filing them down to a normal thickness, so it cost me almost as much as an entirely new set. Will NEVER return to Divine. read more

I came in 55 minutes before closing and requested a gel manicure and pedicure. Wishful thinking, but they were eager to accommodate. "Pick your color" they demanded, and another worker rushed off to fill the tub for my pedicure. This place is super clean and organized and very pleasing to the eye. Hues of browns and greens softly lit the establishment. It was so calming and comfortable, I gladly sunk into my massage chair and prepared to be pampered on Valentine's Day. Before I knew it, I had one nail tech working on my hands and another on my feet. They were were so sweet and we engaged in conversation for most of my visit. While all this is happening, a blizzard is occurring outside. We all didn't expect it but it was amazing to watch how quickly our cars became covered with snow. My techs never rushed, even though their store was now closed, and allowed me to stay under the dryer so my polish wouldn't get ruined by my boots. The manager/owner talked to me about all the changes she did in the store just a month ago. This was my first visit so I didn't have anything to compare, but I assured her that the place was beautiful and her staff were diligent, professional and attentive. In the process of removing my old acrylics, the lady doing my nails cut way too much of my actual nail off that it started bleeding... It was painful for the rest of the experience (especially when they put acetone on my nails). There were two or three other instances where the area around different fingers would bleed. The one other time I got my nails done, it almost lasted a whole month (of course it looked a little grown out, but everything stayed together). About a week and half into having these nails, I've already broken two tips off and the nail polish itself is starting to peel. I paid $70... for it not to even last two weeks. read more

Completely unprofessional with nail techs that take zero accountability for rushing, being rude, and not keeping a clean work station. I've been going to this salon for 9 years and will never go back after new management has turned the quality into garbage. This picture was taken after I asked for the hearts to be fixed and received attitude for it and was told I can't be satisfied. My technician was super nice and accommodating, but the polish itself must have been bad or something, because it left a very grainy/bumpy finish on my nails, even with the extra coat of top coat that I asked for once I noticed. The selection of colors here, both regular and gel, is fantastic! My nails looks spectacular and the gel polish is long lasting, smooth and oh so shiny. What I especially love about Divine Nail Spa is how clean it is kept. The technicians are meticulous about making sure everything is spic and span. Brand new sterilized tools are unwrapped with each service. Pedicure bowls are meticulously cleaned. I've never felt as though my service has been rushed at all. I am able to relax and enjoy. Bad: very high prices, my technician (lady wearing glasses) did good job, but was on her phone all the time while doing my manicure; she apologized for that, saying that she had family emergency, however, after that I've been there for 2 more times and saw her doing the same thing while doing manicure for other clients. What I found more unprofessional than that was that owner was there all the time and she was fine with that. My other time technician seemed to be new and inexperienced - still showed her attitude when I was not very satisfied with her work. Owner had to finish my manicure. Well, I wouldn't have left 2 star review and would keep going there, despite of prices, but the worst thing happened. It looks like I got infected with a fungus! On my hand fingers! My skin is coming out at my fingertips right from under my nails and it's sore. Doesn't look nice either - see attached pictures. Why I think if was them is because straight after my last manicure with them my middle finger nail was very sore for a few days and seemed to be coming off. That was the finger where skin started peeling. They never had those bags for autoclave that's supposed to disinfect the instruments - they just were taking the instruments out of their desk drawer. read more

I sent my daughter in to this beautiful salon to get her nails done. She came out with something I could have done myself at home. I took her back in there & explained why I was unhappy with her nails. She had an attitude & blamed her crapy work on my daughter saying it's "what she wanted" I'm pretty sure she didn't walk in saying she wants a $54 sloppy nail job. She ended up with sloppy, lumpy, unshaped nails that are way too wide at the ends. She obviously gave her a rushed nail job with little to no effort because my daughter is young. It took 1/2 the time it normally would for a full acrylic set. To add insult to injury, she charged an unauthorized additional $5 to my card after she did a little bit of sanding, which made no difference. I will be taking her somewhere else to have them fixed. The nail tech clearly didn't care about her work or maybe just sucks at her job, either way I will never step foot back in this place. I suggest you go to one of the other many nail salons in Fairfax. I'm sure you'll get better work for less. read more
