I came in one weekday evening as a walk-in and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was seen. Immediately upon walking in, I knew this was a really nice spot. The nail salon is bright, well decorated, and especially welcoming! Getting my nails done here was a delight. To start off there was a great color selection, which made choosing my perfect red very easy. Next, Tiffany, the manager, took care of me and was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain why my previous set wasn't holding up well and why it was best to start fresh. The new set she created clearly showed the difference in quality, and her attention to detail really stood out. The pedicure was also a lovely experience. Even with the regular package, it included hot stones and a very nice short massage, which made it feel extra relaxing and refreshing. The only small critique I have is that Tiffany left someone else to shape my nails, and the result wasn't quite what I asked for. They charged extra 10 for removing gel from my hands and extra 5 for using two different colors. Okay so I loved my experience with Tina she was nice and friendly and she did a great job on my hands and feet she took her time making sure she did a great job and she even gave me a shoulder rub when she saw that my neck was bothering me! The only reason I giving it four stars was because the shop itself needs some work. It's a little bit rundown. They had barbercide certifications up so they gave me peace of mind. Horrible service. This is one of the worst services I've ever received at a nail salon. There is only one option for a manicure, a basic manicure....and it is VERY BASIC. Soaked nails in cold water, used low quality products, no massage, and no product used on my cuticles. The "lotion" was like water, no hydration for the skin. I was not offered a drink like other customers. The technician used the same stick multiple times for the wax; dipping it back into the wax after it was used on my face. This is horribly unsanitary. When I paid, I was getting cash out of my purse for a tip and the technician just walked away. She didn't say thank you, good bye, or have a good day. Nothing! Just walked off and got on her phone. I have been going here for a couple years. Everything had been really great until my visit 2 days ago. They were super busy, which I understand. I had an appointment. I was rushed through my appointment. Felt like I was on an assembly line. All they cared about was seeing as many clients as possible. Did not seem to care about those who took the time to make an appointment. I guess I just don't understand why they couldn't have just told the numerous people who walked in with no appointments that they wouldn't be able to take care of them before they closed, but to call or come back tomorrow. Instead they chose to give the existing clients lackluster service in the sole interest of making more money. My manicure was the worst I have ever had there. So many things left undone. I honestly like the owners but not necessarily the work ethics. May or may not return. read more

Turns out she's the manager here now! Tiffany does the best acrylics. They never lift or chip. She has always been helpful when picking out colors as she knows what I like! I've been here a handful of times and have never gotten a bad mani/pedi here. I used to go to Rainlily and I just got so sick and tired of the terrible job they would do and have been venturing elsewhere. I'm happy here, all the ladies are super nice and they do a great job. It's more like your neighborhood nail salon and less spa-like, which is what drew me to Rainlily (where its more spa-like) but a nice atmosphere can't make up for a poor job done on my nails. This place is clean, well-kept and I'm happy. I don't think I'll look anywhere else. The Happy Hour specials is what drew me here, in the first place, but some of the basic pedi's don't include the cheese grater and it's a $7 up charge. I've learned you might as well get the other signature pedicures that they have to offer (and they have a lot) and they won't nickel and dime you. My one small thing is that they ask you to pick polishes from their swatches, you don't get to just pick the polishes by yourself. Usually the swatches don't match the actual color in real life. But I guess not allowing customers to handle the bottles, that's how they control messy bottles, some polishes getting too thick when others try it on themselves, etc. They are real sweet and patient though when I ask for a color swap once I see the swatch not matching the actual color. read more

I never get my nails done and even still I am quite disappointed. I walk in and no one is at the desk. They call from across the salon to get a nail color. I'm not into gel I just wanted to get a French manicure. The lady takes me over. Is actually on the phone with earbuds in the whole time. Can not recommend Tina or Kathy enough at luxury nails! Every single time I've walked in, usually pretty close to when they're closing since I get off the metro later, and have never been turned away, even when I've needed a nail repair included in my usual SNS powder manicure. They've never rushed my manicures and have always offered me water or tea as soon as I sat down. The salon and their staff are quiet but very sweet. Additional 5 stars for their SNS powder dip color selection and application! My nails last for 3-4 weeks, and they have the largest selection of powder colors that I've seen in the area. They swatch them in house so you know the colors are accurate. Kathy helped me pick a powder color for my nails and then was thoughtful enough to find the matching regular polish so my toes would match! I also came in with a poor broken nail and Kathy skillfully attached a tip so it would match the rest of my nails. They didn't add on any extra cost to do this either, which I really appreciated! $45 for a perfect manicure that lasts for a month is great around here. Highly advise coming early in the morning or later in the evening as it seems to be a little less crazy. read more

I was 5mins late to appt but called in and arrived to half the technicians sitting around - it wasn't crowded and my tech had the next few hours open. I picked 3 colors bc I like my pinky and ring fingers a different color. Manager told me to put polishes back where I found them - which I had been. Strike one for the accusatory tone and attitude but I didn't say anything. Polishes were not grouped by colors so finding the right shade was not easy. Took a few mins but the salon was nearly empty so no one was waiting. I asked for coffee. My tech said I was high maintenance in Vietnamese. It was just a keurig (you push 1 button) and they should've offered it without me asking. Tech next to her didn't have a customer but sat there staring at me. My tech then told me it was an extra $5 for the 3 colors when online it says $5 for 5 colors. Manager came over to say it was supposed to added online this weekend but wasn't - straight up BS. They continued to talk sht in việt until I finally told them I'm viet and can understand everything. Other techs walked by staring at me while I got my mani. Terrible service, bad attitudes. Towels were worn and old. No hand massage during the mani. Cuticles weren't clean. Upcharged. Find another salon. read more

Walked in right after a wax appointment down the street and asked if I could get an SNS dip manicure. I explained that I needed it for a special event, and Tina replied that it was possible to do a French mani. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I would not recommend you go to this place if you know what you want and like. What i mean is,if youre the type to speak your mind and tell whomever is giving you your pedicure what to do or not do, this place isnt for you. It all started when i sat down and the lady started to fill the tank. The water was freezig cold. Instead of letting it run and drain out until the water warms up, she decides to just fill the tank. -first star reduction P.S. no soap or blue pill is dropped in Once the tank filled up, she gets right in and starts cutting my nails. Cool no problem. Afterwards she grabs this huge toothpick like thing and digs under the nails..yes ouch!! Then she wipes what ever is collected right on my F'in foot! So i tell her to use the towel. This is where her demeanor changes 180 degrees... star deduction number 2 and 3. At this point shes just rushing through the process. Even with my cuticles, she was simply scraping it off. I was annoyed and she can tell. With each foot she asks for me to put out, once shes done, she just tosses back in the water as if to say shooo shoo. Now time for calluses. I have a few on my right leg so i ask for it to be done with a razor (clearly not my 1st pedicure) she says $10 extra... to which i say absolutely not. So she tosses my leg back in the tank. I tell her i still want the calluses removed to which she responds " yeah yeah i do them later" admit it... you read that in your head in their accent ... star 4 deducted She now scrubs my feet with that blue sponge that does absolutely nothing for calluses, and then proceeds to rub oil on my feet as if to massage them but not a single lbs per sq in of pressure was applied. Smh... she comes back taps both my knees from the outsides as if to say, put your legs together..get this.. so that she can use ONE HOT TOWEL for both legs smh...oh and yes she just throws it on there like the scene from karate kid ..attitude. See attachment. This is also a big tell tell that the pedicure is practically over, calluses not done, clearcoat not removed etc. At this point i tell her to use two towels and she just gives me this look..to which is the point i stand up and walk out. P.S. she never took off the clear coat from the previouse pedicure. Yes i get cloar coat! P.S.S. I called the store and spoke to the manager to explain exactly why i left. Im loud and didnt wanna cause a scene there. So as a courtesy i called to let her know. And now you also know. read more
