I've been coming to Lucky Nails since I moved to the area about five years ago. I now live in a neighboring county, but drive into Springfield to see Tammy. She does an excellent job with my nails every time. I get my nails done with the SNS powder. Tammy makes sure the polish look natural- polish is NOT too thick and it is graduated moving towards my cuticles. I am also very hard on my nails and she knows this too, so she does something with my nails that makes them all last between my sessions. I always get compliments on them. I highly recommend Tammy. My new favorite shop for a gel pedicure! I actually enjoy how quaint it is with not a lot of bustle. I usually call 20-30 minutes beforehand to gauge the wait and it's perfect because Costco is nearby. I cannot stress how amazing they are at this salon. Lena, Tammy and everyone there is so friendly and respectful. I have never left disappointed. Tammy usually does my nails and is a perfectionist. I've visited many other salons due to different circumstances and have never been satisfied like I am with her work. She is great at shaping especially coffin/almond. Her Dip mani is never too bulky or thick and she takes her time to make sure things are perfect. Also very clean and covid policy was super strict. Honestly, Lucky Nail is the best nail shop for at least 10-15 miles. The facility is clean and the people are friendly, but the real attraction is the service. Attention to detail is the name of the game here. Every out of line cuticle is put in its place. Every hangnail removed. All crusty heels go away with the Dodo Bird...with a smile. It saddens me Lucky Nail is no longer my go to shop. I was really satisfied in the caliber of service. SO GOOD I got a full set with Tammy today after reading all of the reviews and I am IN LOVE. They were extremely accommodating to me and my nails look amazing. Afterwards, I got a pedicure done with the older gentleman and it was fabulous. For $30 you get a GOOD foot scrub, hot towel, scrub massage, and lotion massage. The scrub has my legs and feet feeling LUCIOUS and sooooo soft. The massage was great, my cuticles look fresh, and the paint job was perfect. Everyone was so sweet, accommodating, and perfectionists. When I went in June 2019 my acrylic nails were $65, and now that I went in December I was charge $70. I asked her why I was being charge 70 and she told me because it was acrylic gel and designs. Because I had to leave quickly, I did not question the price even though I knew I paid less last time. In June and now in December, I got the same exact nail, design, color and style. As a consumer, it can be stressful going somewhere and paying for services that do not have stable prices. Besides that, service and cleanliness was impeccable and excellent. Very lengthy and summarized report, don't read unless you like long and honest reviews: Came for my very first time with one of my girlfriends, who has been coming to this salon for a while. Now after my last incident with my regular salon and the way they treated my nails (real badly) I thought this might have been an opportunity for me to come to another one. Everything was perfect and consistent the only thing is I wanted something certain/perfect (a glittery silver nail polish (instead of pink) when I told one of the employees more than twice I wanted sliver on my index finger versus pink. I get liquid gel sets, apparently it's a difficult service for many people to master but Tammy does an AMAZING job! It was a little hard to find but it is a shopping center with a subway and beauty supply off of 95 I think. I went in for a gel manicure and I saw they had chrome on yelp. Well they got holographic gel in so many colors. The color selection is on point. Super happy I decided to come here because the manicure was perfect! I will be back to aesthetically please my hands. I found this place on yelp but JUST KEEP LOOKING.... this place is not lucky at all. Check out my pic. The two middle nails on my hand were "fixed" today...no top coat. Just a piss poor job. My experience: This nail shop is on the smaller side, which I can appreciate most of the time but it doesn't seem like many people do nails...at least not enough to support business needs. I've only seen one person do nails and that the lady who did mine. I got mirror gel polish, and when it was finished, it looked like my niece did it. It was all over my cuticles (which she cut off, like a second manicure) and the polish had bubbles in it. She said come back next week to fix it. I came back three days the next week, with the polish rubbed off at the tips of my nails. Ended up finally getting in 10 days after my first polish. Nails were horrible. She said it is supposed to be like that. HA! My gel polish lasts at least 2 1/2 weeks and I get them done because they've grown out, not because they literally look like trash. After waiting 30 mins for my appointment, she started. Offered to call paint my nails different colors, which would've looked foolish, and then just did a finished with a shitty job since I declined.
