Best experience ever! I went in today needing a pedicure and to get my nails fixed up. Long story short with my nails - I went to a place out in Adam's Morgan (18th street in D.C.) and I had a young rookie do them. He left me with cuts and glue all over my nails. Basically I paid for poor craftsmanship and I removed the nail polish the following day. I found Lucky's Nails with awesome reviews so I had to try them out. The nail tech took his time cleaning my 8 months pregnant feet up, (they had a bottle water set out already for me) he was not rushing no matter how busy it got. After that, he fixed my nails, clean them up, file to the shape I wanted and applied nail polish. They did not charge me anything crazy for it. I should've gone here in the beginning. It's a rather small facility, with just a few workers, but don't let that deter you. The pedicure I received was substantially one of the best pedicures I've received. All the workers are extremely dedicated, considerate, and friendly. As soon as I sat down they offered me a bottle water, helped to make me comfortable, add quickly began working on my toes. The massage they provide is extraordinary and relaxing. The highlight of a pedicure for me, is the massage, and this place did not disappoint at all. They also provide a great selection of different color polishes and different pedicure and manicure services. I've returned for several visits and have no intentions of looking elsewhere for a new nail salon. Being that the facility is smaller, I would recommend making an appointment, especially for busier hours. read more

There is room for improvement with some technicians. After my first visit here, wasn't happy with the final results. Glue/polish around cuticles, shapes different sizes, coat was shady. Considering I showed up before the shop was about to close. Should have taken a before picture. BUT they definitely made up with excellent customer service by allowing me to come back for a second visit. I asked for a more experienced technician, Lena. She did a neat job by cleaning up my nails a lot better with precise shaping/ paint job. I will be coming back just for her! Also, heard and saw Tammy's nice work. I've been going to Cindy for about 8 years now. I've had to try other places on occasion when I moved but I continue to come back for the quality and fair prices. Service is always impeccable and she has recently renovated and added refreshments for her customers which I think is very thoughtful. I will always come see her no matter the commute and have overheard many other customers say they do the same. She always seems to know everyone who comes in by name and does everything she can to accommodate everyone (including me who never calls or makes appointments). Love her and this salon! Very unhappy!! If I could give zero stars I would. I had an appointment at 1:45 and I didn't get sat down until 2:15! Then I showed them the type of nails I wanted and asked if they could do it & they said yes. After finishing I was very unsatisfied with my results and it looked nothing like the image I showed them. I went to go pay & I got gel and they told me it would be $35 total. She took my card without saying a word and charged me THEN proceeded to tell me AFTER that it was an extra $5!! That is extremely unprofessional & sneaky. I've never been to a nail salon that tells me they charged me extra AFTER swiping my card. I will NOT be going back nor recommending this spot to anyone. It's hard to find a good nail shop. My daycare provider has always kept her nails well kept so I asked her where she went and she referred me here. She schooled me on SNS powder and I will never go back to regular acrylic or gel ever again. This place does an amazing job and I can actually compare it to the nail salon in Springfield mall (can't remember the name). The mall nail salon did SNS on me and it chipped within a week. Lucky nails actually take their time and my manicure always lasts 3 weeks. Well worth the money! read more

I went here last summer and let's just say I haven't gone back. I went in asking for an acrylic manicure, which I was already hesitating getting because I had never gotten an acrylic manicure before. When I asked the lady for it, she almost refused. She told me that my nails were "too pretty" and that I needed to get shellac. So with this being said, I chickened out and ended up just getting my nails done with shellac. Then it came to choosing the color. I had decided that I wanted to get my nails pink with gold sparkles on my ring fingers. I showed the lady which ones I wanted by showing them to her on the fake nail samples(the ones that show you the colors they have). After this, I sat down at her nail table and was waiting for her to come back with the polishes. And guess what?!? She comes back with freaking silver sparkles(I had clearly wanted gold). I decided not to correct her because I'm always very shy to correct them and I decided I was okay with the silver even though it wasn't what I had asked for. After this though, the day after I had gotten them done, I realized that the shellac was all on my cuticles and the polish started peeling! Usually shellacs are supposed to last for two to three weeks! Overall, I knew I wouldn't be coming back. read more

They have a lot of colors to choose from. My nails don't fall apart, and last until my next fill. They offer a military discount. Oh, and they don't charge you to cut down your nails like a lot of places do, which I think is ridiculous to begin with. Your nails grow, you'll need them cut down eventually. Got a pedicure done here one weekday morning around 1030. I tried to go somewhere else probably but they didn't have a person who could do a pedi. I ended up here cause of the reviews and they didn't disappoint. The young lady who did mine was very detailed and courteous. She took her time and asked versus assumed I wanted something. For example, I run often and she noticed a callus and asked if I wanted it removed all the way down and told her I ran so she suggested just a bit then so it won't be painful for when I run again. After reading the reviews I decided to try this location. Maybe I just came on a day for bad service. I tried the regular pedicure for $27. My pedicure was done by a young man named Peter. He definitely did not want to be at work and definitely was not customer service friendly. He didn't say two words to me. The pedicure was mediocre. I could have done it better myself. He exerted minimal effort. He didn't even give me water. Another lady brought it to me. The whole pedicure took under 20 minutes. I had crusty heels when I arrived and leaning with them a little better than when I came in. A trick salons do is put lotion on those crusty spots to hide the crust. Once the lotion dries your crust is back. I watched him disinfect the tub. One squirt of Lysol cleaner and a quick wipe. That's not how you disinfect a tub. Don't waste $27 here. read more

I am not sure this place deserves the stars and rating they have. They are not friendly to start with. I went in to get a pedicure and gel nails. They told me to pick my colors and sit without saying someone will be with me or how long it will take. DO NOT go to the older man that works there. He is horrible and does not speak a lick of English. Furthermore he dug so deep on my big toe that he made it bleed and not even say sorry. I had to point it out to him and he still said nothing. Someone else came to check and she said, "oh you had some in grown so he had to take it out" that's all they said. So I skipped on the new gel and asked him to just take my current gel off cause I didn't trust him. And even that he did a horrible job with because I still feel pieces of gel on some nails and it's all filed uneven. read more
