There was a dispute of the cost of them so the cashier had to ask another employee. The initial cost I thought was 21 dollars but it ended up being 27. I was willing to pay but then I noticed this sigh saying as described below. I became outraged that a retail shop would as for additional money for not befitting a service at all. I was nicely helped and best part was since I wear orthodics they had some wide versions of their slip on shoes available that made it easy to slip my orthodics into! Not only where they helpful but I had 2 different people checking on me every so often to make sure I got the shoes I wanted. They check out people were also nice. I called a week ago asking about a particular set of shoes, unfortunately they didn't have my exact size. I got to speak with Natalie and she was able to help me find a different pair of shoes with my size. Natalie was able to help me reserve the shoes I wanted. The vans was was clean and organized. Cristal the cashier helped me ring up my order and helped me add points to my vans family account. Cristal also helped me with my military discount. I had no idea Vans offered military discounts for Veterans. I was stationed overseas during my 4 years of active duty enlistment. I wasn't in the United States. I couldn't use any "active duty only" discounts, I was away from my family and friends. Bullshit. I hate places say they support the troops but only accept active duty discounts. Came in today to exchange a pair of shoes and just wanted to commend Brian and Chase for a friendly and assertive experience (there was another blonde guy too whom I didn't get his name). All of them had a very positive and professional attitude especially due to the fact that it's back to school season and the store was quite hectic. Came here around first weekend of September 2016. PROS: - Staff was super nice and incredibly helpful and fast with service - I was able to get 3 shoes but I thought for a second they might look too big. Worker said they looked great - got $20 off $50 purchase but can't use it till 9/8/16. CONS: - because of my shoe size 6/6.5 I was limited on shoe style options. :( Booo - got home and my husband was laughing asking me why my shoes looked so big. - I just felt like the selection. And lack of sizes for me makes me not want to come back. Maybe I should look at converse. read more

Horrible customer service. Waited for someone to come out from the back room.. all you can hear is giggling in the back. They clearly didn't want to come out to help any customers. One girl comes out, looks at me, and walks to the front.. doesn't even acknowledge any customers that needed help. Don't waste your time here. Whoever the manager is clearly doesn't care. Shopped here for years before 2012. It was a great place to get some new kicks. I like the new vans shoes. Been buying them for a long time, I'm just tired of buying the overpriced shoes. Got some sweet stuff for my board in the while. Their hats, wallets and backpack brand are good as well. The cashiers are friendly, you'll get what you need after they helped everyone else. Usually slow in here unless there a big sale going on. On the norms, there aren't much of a sale. read more

Waited around to get help and even after a handful of "excuse me's", you still get overlooked and will be served only after a white person. Don't forget, a majority of your consumers, are colored. Stopped in here the weekend before school started and it was total chaos with customers everywhere! I must say the staff handled it like pros! They were calm and on top of welcoming everyone as they walked in they also were working away and making sure everyone had been helped. I cannot believe how busy it was in there! The staff seriously had everything covered from writing down names of customers and sizes to another person pulling the orders from the back. I had the most amazing service on 8/14 because of a nice young lady named Bailey. It was extremely busy in the store and I almost left, but she was quick to ask if I needed help. She was not only able to help me, but she was also helping 2 other people, and doing a great job at it. She proceeded to tell me about the promotions that were going on and was very helpful all around.
