They have a new Postmaster that cares about customers. When the line is long people show up from everywhere to assist. They seem eager to work and often compliment the newest change if management. I received a notification that my package could not be delivered because they couldn't access the destination...all you have to do is drive up my driveway then you're at my house. The notification also said that they left an information slip with details as to how to obtain my package, but there was nothing on my front door or in my mailbox. I have a very long wrap around driveway (have had no problems receiving large deliveries before so this small package should be no problem), so the likelihood of someone walking all the way up my driveway to take a piece of paper is highly unlikely. So, I called to get some clarification as to what happened and when I can expect my package, and I was on hold for over 5 minutes before being given the busy signal..... So lame. read more

I arrived at 5:01 to mail a box which was sealed and has the label on the box. When I walked in there was a woman with her arms crossed who rudely said "We're closed". I asked if there was any way for her to take it as it was all set just needed to be scanned. She turns to me "Ma'am, we are closed and I wouldn't have taken your box anyways it's UPS" (which I understand is my bad but there is NO need to be so rude). I get to visit this place every week and i must say i have always had a pleasant visit. Arlene, Chao, Brenda and all the staff there has helped me more than once and they are very helpful, efficient, and above all very polite and friendly, they make me feel at home every time. On my way to this post office , To ask a quick question about my package , I was thinking to myself.. the post office is always so sweet. Halfway thru what I was there for, I was told to wait to the side for a moment until I could be helped. That's when supervisor James Winters decided to almost verbally attack me because I was not wearing a mask.. No I wasn't fully prepared this morning- I'll admit. But I think most people could empathize with that. Unfortunately and embarrassingly James Winters and I were the center of attention in a room full of about 15 - 20 people. insisting that it's the law to wear a mask as of TODAY- which is false. Today is April 25 - the law is in effect May 1st. Was I trying to be rebellious? No. Was James trying to use his authority to put me down? 100% yes. This is discrimination , this is bullying. And I won't ever forget the evil look in his eyes - as he was attempting to prevent me from doing my quick business. read more

Been here two occasions since its the only postal service that opens on Saturdays. I have used USPS dozens of times this is the first place asking me twice to go in the back to drop off my prepaid packages... I kid you not the staff are incapable to take my package in the back... I could have easily stolen anyone else's boxes back there! Shows how safe your boxes are. The staff seem rude and not eager to help my advice just go to another location unless you just want to drop a letter. read more

I just try to send package today and expect the service very bad specially this location. I used same tape for pack my parcel to many years and only in this location clerk said to me, ,, You can't use this type of tape , you need buy ours type". This is my favorite post office, I always receive good customer service here. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's clean. Yes it sometimes gets busy, but I'm not the only one who needs mail sent. Managers are friendly and efficient, I mean I've been to other post offices and they aren't great. I can't fathom the level of incompetence I see at this post office. A simple and likely common issue which is apparently beyond the ability of post office employees/management to address: a change in PO Box ownership. For two years I have used a PO Box as a professional address - on my letterhead, business cards, etc. The prior owner was also a business person and when I first got the box I was receiving the other company's mail. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they assured me they would fix the problem. I continue to regularly receive that mail even two years later and after about a dozen complaints and assurances by everyone involved with the PO Boxes. I can't change boxes because I have invested in establishing this as a business address. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for government employees, but I have no choice since they don't do anything when you meet with them personally. Very disappointing to see this poor performance in a US government agency - people would be fired in private industry... No wonder some people talk of privatizing the post office. I wonder if I would go through this with the Postal Annex? read more

The associate needed to be more helpful and understanding as a woman, mother, or even just a human ! I came in with an urgent government package and my baby fell asleep leaving me carrying her and an 8 pound item. The sales associate took way to much time trying to figure out what box would work best when I told her all I cared about was the day it would get there. Then she told me they don't include tape and made me step out of line and go get it on my own with my baby in hand and the 8 pound package in the other and my 2 other children trailing behind me. Then I had to figure out how to tape the top and bottom of the box all by myself with one hand and was not offered help what so ever ! Then I had to wait to be helped again. At the end of all that and the obvious frustration written all over my face, she still asked if I wanted to purchase a book of stamps. Are you kidding me? I want to get out of here ! read more

I live in a complex of condos with a mail box of individual locked mail slots. I lost my key and on 9/8/17 went to this post office to replace key. I was told there would be a $50.00 charge for new lock and the locks are replaced on Fridays and Mondays. I paid the teller the fee and was told since I came in at 9 am on a Friday, the lock would be replaced that day. I was told to come back to the post office after 12 o'clock to receive my new key. I returned as told and was told by a different employee that the locks get changed on Tuesdays and Thursdays not Fridays and Mondays. I spent several hours during the next week trying to catch the mail carrier to get my mail. One week later I am still waiting for this to happen. I called the post office to inquire when I would receive the new lock and the message indicated there would be a 41 minute wait for assistance. I remained on the line for one hour and hung up without a response. This is a new week and I again am going to try to contact the post office in Vista to get some correct information regarding this process. I have a fair amount of patience, however, I fell the post office needs to improve this procedure of replacing mail locks to avoid this situation in the future. read more
