Easy-peasy parking, and electronic metered scale that allows you to do all. There's even two of them, which is double trouble! Positives: ------------- * properly staffed, nearly every window has a postal worker * convenient location, right off TO blvd and 2 blocks off of 101/Westlake Blvd * greeting cards for sale * free parking Negatives: -------------- * I found there's limited supplies: never any Priority Stickers, and only 2 of the 4 priority boxes. * postal workers have limited personalities (have they been coached not to smile?) * free parking, but banshees come here...so beware pulling into a spot, and even more so, when leaving. read more

The package arrived in the Thousand Oaks sorting center twice last Thursday. The city where I live. After arriving in the Thousand Oaks sorting center, the package was sent to Lancaster for a few hours, then back to Thousand Oaks, and then sent to Santa Clarita. Looks like someone is tossing the package into the wrong bin. It would be nice to get that problem sorted out. read more

This is a really great post office. The positives: Ample parking - they added a full row of parking to an already large lot to accommodate the number of patrons. Well-staffed - this place is always busy during open hours, and the line is very long, but it moves. They usually have four people working at the counter, plus an additional employee working the line to help people get out faster. Are they the most exciting people, I've ever met? No, but they are nice people working hard. Can't complain. Great selection of stamps - I'm a novice philatelist, and I always enjoy the wide variety of stamps they offer on any given day. Multiple self-service machines - for simple mailings and purchasing stamps, you can get on your way quickly. Several pick-up times throughout the day for stamped letters - if you drop something off early, it's on it's way to it's next stop well before 5 p.m. The negatives: The self service machines need more supplies - priority mail boxes and stickers are hard to come by. Maybe they've had an issue with theft? It's just generally very busy. I haven't found a time of day when there isn't a line. If you need full service, be prepared to wait a bit. I had a package delivery issue so I went to this location and have to say everyone working there was great, especially the supervisor! I didn't grab her name but she took care of my issue and resolved it very quickly and was SO caring and sweet and I thought she deserved some recognition!!! read more

Long story short. Did not like how the man at the front desk was condescending about a package I sent. He brushed me away. I held my tongue. Nor did I like how the woman on the phone spoke to me, no even so much as "sorry I can't help", she just hung up when I asked about a tracking number I never received. Just RUDE. I like this post office location. Though the parking lot could use an expansion, I have yet to have problems finding a vacant parking spot. What a great location! The overall business layout, the parking is easy and the flow of traffic is never backed up. and most importantly the staff is always helpful no matter what time of day I have gone. I go out of my way to use this location for all of my postal services. I would recommend this location. It does get busy, but the staff is always saying hello, how can I help and they seem genuinely happy to help. They move people right along and address customers needs quickly and efficiently. I have been here numerous times and I have sat back and watched to observe and say these points as facts. Keep up the good work at this location. I had a package that required a signature, so I scheduled a redelivery on Saturday Oct. 29. Got confirmation, Saturday rolls around and no package. I check the mailbox at noon, mail is there, no notifications, nothing. I call the 800 postal number and all they can do is confirm it is scheduled for delivery. Recommend I call the post office, but when I call the post office they don't answer their phone. Start driving around the neighborhood and find the mailman, who does not have the package. Thankfully, he calls a number and someone answers the phone, then he tells me the package is at the post office. So I drive to the post office to get my package. What is wrong here is Saturday is my only day off, and I was wasting it waiting for a package that wasn't coming. I wasted gas driving around the neighbor looking for the postman, and driving to the post office. The frustration of the post office not answering their phone, which would have saved time and fuel. And what is the alternative, schedule another delivery for next Saturday? Go without my packaged item for another week, and would they have followed thru next weekend? Very disappointing with all the modern tools we have available that should make for pinpoint accuracy that we receive sub-par service. This type of service is not becoming of a United States Agency. read more

Had the absolute best experience with this post office! I really cannot believe how much they went above and beyond in order to get my package to me. I just recently moved to Thousand Oaks and had to have my mail forwarded from my Westlake Village address. For some reason, one of my packages was forwarded the first round, but then came back again and was delivered to my old address. Matt, the manager at the store, was super prompt with getting in touch with the delivery person so they could go pick it back up, and then he offered to stay at the store himself, after hours, so I could come pick it up. Almost always a long line at this location. Parking lot is a zoo; I feel like it's always a risk of someone backing out into me. Staff are polite and professional. Everything else is a typical post office. Clean floors, a decent small selection of boxes and packaging supplies for sale as well as some greeting cards. read more

Worst USPS location I have ever encountered. The staff must hate their job because all of them always seem miserable, especially the older blonde lady. She is just down right vile. Who sells christmas stamps during the summer out of their automated machines!?! When I went to buy a book of stamps to send out thank you notes for charity donors I received Charlie Brown Christmas stamps. Are you kidding me!?! They wouldn't exchange them for me because they said on the receipt *no exchanges or returns even though the manager said he had no idea why those stamps would still be in the machine. I have no use for these stamps and I had to purchase a whole new book. They could care less, about customer service, restocking supplies, or even just being friendly at all. This is by far the wort location I have encountered not that any deserve 5 stars in my opinion. USPS is over all unreliable, I have had multiple packages delayed and lost, if you want a reliable service go with Fedex. read more

I came here today just because it was a poke spot! That and I guess I had to mail something. Besides finding a ton of Pokemon in this general location and being able to level up by gathering more poke balls I find that this post office is a great post office. The employee helped me mail my flat rate envelope with ease and directed me to the nearest machine to do so. He helped me skip the line and guided me through the purchasing of my envelope. I'm happy I came here because I got a lot done in the 5 minutes I was here. They do accept credit cards and cash here. So that's a plus. And they have a ton of boxes (some free) in the front for mailing purposes. So go level up and get some letters mailed while you're at it. It's a two in one experience. read more

It's conveniently located to FedEx in WLV - and it's large, with lots of parking - but I prefer the one in Agoura Hills off Canwood. It's more "personalized." Wifey loves this one, as it's always "on the way." Efficient though, so they are 3+ stars. read more

Never ever expect to get in the door at closing, or even a few minutes before, if the vicious little boss man keymaster is locking up. You could have crawled there from your death bed and that mean, ornery cuss will not cut you ten seconds of slack. He has even slammed the door in the faces of people who have obviously GOT to have a postmark or pick up a package. These people are BEGGING! BRIDGE TROLL! The rest of the staff is great, but he gets way too much joy out of shutting the door in people's faces. AND he is often a few minutes early to boot. Mean people suck. And he lives off the energy of the upset he causes making people beg and not letting them in. He actually smiles about it. Too weird. I also discovered that one of the self serve postal scales weighed the same object about 5 ounces heavier than the other two, thus printing out/charging too much postage. When I reported it, they did go over to fix it, but I don't know how many months people were paying DOLLARS too much to mail things weighed there. I accidentally found out because the original scale I used couldn't print the postage due to lack of ink, but my priority mail letter weighed about 5 dollars worth more on the second scale. The third scale confirmed the lighter weight. Buyer (or sender) beware! They have two self serve scales inside and two in the lobby, for your convenience. The carrier here said they're wasn't an address in there system when I verified it existed when I delivered the package. I have called over 20 times to get in touch with somebody here and they have picked up the phone and hung up on me on multiple occasions. I will never use usps again for priority shipping. You will lose your package and having a tracking number is irrelevant apparently. read more

Horrible service every time I go to this place... I wanted to purchase a prepaid flat rate box and they refused to let me tape it up. Told me I had to buy tape and that they do not have any to use. Really!? It's a post office you goon. I know damn well you have tape. The manager was extremely rude and provided no customer service at all... I had a horrible experience at this USPS location today. I called ahead of time to check when they were closing; a woman told me that closing time was at 4:30. I estimated that I would have about 5-10 minutes to spare, so I proceeded to transport my very heavy package to the post office. When I arrived, it was 4:25, and my mom and I carried the package to the entrance. The employee inside, a blonde middle-aged woman, stood and watched us struggle to carry the package to the door. Right as we got there, she LOCKED IT and said "oops, we're closed." Here's my message to all of you complacent employees who treat their customers like dirt: keep it up! It'll make it easier for automation to replace you in the not-so-distant future. read more

No surprise that the post office gets a one star review, I guess. They can't seem to stop delivering mail to my old address even though there has been a forwarding order in place for over a month and even though I taped a card to the mailbox with a copy of the forwarding order and information. Prior to this, I mailed a car key in a special envelope from Staples with a $1.50 in postage from the self-service machine. It disappeared for a month. If finally got returned to sender for insufficient postage. When I went to the post office they said it was to thick for the $1.50 rate and should have included $1.75 in postage. They pulled out a board with a cutout with a thickness slot (as if I could have possible known this when mailing) that I proceed to pass my envelope through. The excused themselves saying that it fit through due to the flexibility of the paper cutout. I would say I hope that they go bankrupt and everyones pension gets cut off, but my mail carrier and many other people there are, I'm sure, conscientious people. It's just a bad system. Break it up and give half of it to UPS and the other half to Fed EX and let them fight to win the consumer! read more

There's this one older light blonde lady who is extremely rude. I've never seen such behavior out of a postal employee whose employer is the government, I believe she's a greater. She must be high up because THERES NO WAY I would accept this behavior if I was her boss. Theres countless situations where I have seen her insult customers and simply pass on her responsibilities. There's a few employees whom I come to love. The employees there who are the goods ones are speedy and kind, but I just get a bad taste in my mouth when I have to go in. read more

Friendly staff. Easy access to mailing letters inside and out. Ample parking...but as a side note they need to change the parking lot. When it's crowded, it's not very user friendly. I understand that it was built a long time ago and things have changed. Now they need to change the lot to go with the times. (crowded world) I don't always go to the window, but so far I've had nothing but positive experiences with the workers there....even during the xmas holidays. read more

Update: since my original review, this location has added a booth in the lobby for "quicker" handling of certain transactions like stamp purchases and acceptance of prepaid items. There is still inconsistency in the way transactions are handled but I know who to avoid now and do so to the best of my ability. Ginna and Sharon are the two friendliest and most helpful employees at this location - they know what they're doing, they do it quickly and without complaint or question. Some of the other employees could learn a lot from them - one of the women, who I avoid like the plague, is SO rude to the customers, I don't know how she has managed to hold on to her job. I hope management turns focus to the self-help kiosks. The purpose of these kiosks is so that a person can do their own transaction and not require assistance from a clerk, therefore freeing the clerk to help someone else; however, I often see the clerks having to do the transactions for customers who are somehow unable to understand the step by step instructions on the screen. If a person can't operate a self-help machine, they need to be sent to the regular line or taught so they can do it next time on their own; doing it for them defeats the purpose of their existence. read more

I have to write this as in all the years I've been going here everyone is pleasant, we know each other by face, busy ofcourse but really overall just a good post office. But Leaving there last week and again today, I have such an awful taste in my mouth! I was given the run around, insulted, patronized and accused of being sneaky by one of the postal men "Ketan" on both occasions. Everyone kept trying to help and apologize last week and then ofcourse I got him again today.... I had to call a supervisor over to get him to attempt to do his job and stop the banter. This man either hates woman or just clearly should not be dealing with the public. It shocks me to see that a government worker is allowed to be so hostel and rude to customers who are also by the way human beings.... I will now spend the next decade avoiding this post office as much as possible.... it's funny how there is always one person who spoils it for everyone. read more

Quite possibly the WORST postal office I've ever encountered. For an exurban post office the employees are horrible. The lines in the office itself are usually out the door, the counter employees are belligerent, arrogant, move more slowly than I would ever tolerate from my people. We've had packages disappear routinely. The carriers lie routinely, the supervisors cover up for their carriers routinely. We've lost hundreds of dollars on product that "disappeared" they claim were delivered. We routinely get other people's mail and end up doing their job an ave of 2-3 times per week delivering mail to people on different streets from ours. When you complain they retaliate (had my mail box knocked off the stand by the carrier's truck four times so far in the days following complaints). Unfortunately they've got a monopoly and companies refuse to use UPS or other carriers. So we're stuck. read more

I went in just now to question 2 requests for a change of address forms that had an incorrect address listed for me that they allegedly ok'd. The address that was listed for me was incorrect and when I asked the supervisor why they ok'd and stamped the form knowing that street didn't exist, he laughed it off and with his pen wrote in the correct letter on my legal form saying, "Oh, it was just overlooked". But when I argued with him that that street does not exist and now some lawyer is trying to say he served me with papers, he got visibly nervous. I asked him if he would at least initial that he wrote on my paper and he got upset and said no. When I asked why he wrote on it in the first place, he said, "why didn't you stop me". At that point, I asked him for his name and he said James. When I asked for his last name, he said he wouldn't give it to me and that if anyone needed to speak to him, to just ask for James. I asked for his title and he said he was the supervisor. In any event, their negligence and lack of care is being used against me and the guy just laughed it off like it was no big deal and could just be fixed by changing a letter with his pen. I'm going to make a complaint about him and how he treated me. read more

Since we have moved here our mail is constantly getting lost. They have a ridiculous forward from my house to- you guessed it my house which takes up to 10 days. They dont know how this got there. They dont know how to take it off. The people that work there are not helpful. My sub mail lady didn't want to walk the package up last week so she threw it on my driveway. Was surprised when it broke open and contents broke. I dont understand why the delivery of the mail is so difficult.
