This is the worst USPS I have ever been to in my life. First time. I don't live near by but was in the area n needed to send a package with a flat rated box. Surprise!!! They ain't get no boxes. N these is a locked door and you talk to the people there through that. Only then I realized this is not an affluent area. To say the least. It's a v poor neighborhood. This place offers terrible customer service, here are the reasons. 1. I called to verify if they are holding my package because the post master called me directly once I filed a complaint about not Receiving the package in accordance to their delivery estimates but no one is answering the phone at this location. 2. The branch manager lied about talking to me over the over when in fact he only left a voicemail message informing me that my package is currently sitting at 1 of his facility. 3. I have noticed in the past two years the mail hold for the customers during vacation periods at the Robertsville office on Branham lane has gone from bad to worse. Request to hold mail has been ignored and some mail delivered to the fullness of the mailbox, visible to the street walkers. They held a few of first class letters and delivered it upon our return. This is mostly a review of USPS in general. I ship and receive a lot of packages! USPS sucks when shipping packages. Plain and simple. Their tracking sucks. I had once expected a package from the East Coast and tracking shows it came all the way to my city, only for it to get returned all the way back without notice of why. Then I have another package shipping from SANTA CLARA, to SAN JOSE. Come on, that is the same AREA CODE. AND IT WAS SENT PRIORITY, and the package is still not here on the 2nd day. The tracking says "MISSENT" There is always issues with USPS sending packages. You NEED to get insurance if you risk using USPS to send packages because there is a higher chance something WILL go wrong. When sending FEDEX to ship and receive for over 50 packages within 2 years there is never any problems. But the few times with USPS.. PROBLEMS. Also as for my mail. The error rate is high in receiving someone elses mail. I understand every now and then, but lets say we get someone's mail AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. Sometimes we even got someone else's PACKAGE SENT USPS FIRST CLASS. I absolutely despise using USPS especially for package. I pay more to ship my eBay items with FEDEX. And I cringe when I see something I purchase is sent to me via USPS. read more

Just a window for picking up and dropping off packages. Went a couple days ago and the lady at the window was extremely rude. Walked up prepared with my delivery note with my license on top of it (there is a sign that ask you to be prepared). I handed the note and license to her and she snapped at me, "I need your license too!!!". I told her it is in her hand. She threw it on the counter and walked away to get my package. I had a VERY important certified letter sent to me last Thursday 9/13/18. It was sent from Granite Bay CA. Normally a letter takes 3 days. I'm not sure if my postal carrier lost it, dropped it or isn't on top of his job...But it is now 1 week later and I have not received a notice nor asked to sign for my certified letter. I have taken off 3 days to wait for this document and It is very upsetting. I went to this location at 2:30 pm and they promised me they would contact my carrier and find my letter. I went in person to report the destruction of mail by a housemate, a serious thing. The postmaster there refused to sign a receipt of the mail I recovered and instead of treating me like I was helping he treated me like I was the perp. My street has locked USPS boxes every three homes. I needed to contact the office over a USPS key that was placed in my box for me to pick up a parcel yet the box in question already had a key in it. I called this location and the phone just remained unanswered. I called several times! There is no direct way to solve this issue. I have perishable goods in my mailbox! Normally it is hard to get issues resolved with the post office when they arise, but fortunately this time I was connected with a man named Jeffrey and he was able to help get my problem resolved. I was missing two packages with tracking numbers reflecting they were delivered. He promptly got me connected with the supervisor directly, who sent the carrier back out to check for the mishap. This was the most unprofessional phone call I have received from a company. The individual did not even state what company they worked for immediately, causing an investigation on my part of the caller ID and common sense. Later they did announce who and what they were calling for, which was the only professional aspect of this call. The employee asked what type of mail was sent, I informed the employee that the type of mail that was sent was first class. He stated rushed and in a hurry that 5 days is normal for that mail. I asked why because my delivery date stated the 30th and first class takes 1-3 days, the later being the 30th. He said my delivery date wouldn't say the 30th and that first class is the slowest mail and not what I stated as 1-3 days. Confused by his remark I told him that the usps website has 1-3 days listed as the delivery time for first class mail. He said confidently I was wrong, and did not see it correctly, both my delivery date stated by my tracking number and that first class mail is not 1-3. If he would have stayed on the phone long enough he would have known the delivery being late isnt a concern to me. I would just like to know where my valuable information is at. read more

When I got there, the lady retrieved my SMASHED box, scans it and says I didn't have to pay for postage. I ordered something (more than $100 worth of stuff) from Japan and they sent it to the billing address instead of the shipping address. After 2/3 attempts of failed delivery, the mail lady called my friend and said someone need to pick it up. We called another number and the worker said someone could pick it up by Saturday. I said my sis would pick it up tomorrow (Friday). She went and they said there was no package there. Apparently, a mailman took it out to try to deliver it again. I called again to ask if they had sent the package back to the sender in Japan. I told her that the tracking page says the package was return to sender (as in the post office not the original sender in japan) & she said then that mean it was sent back to Japan. She said she was going to check on it again (after I said that the tracking page said the same thing after a failed attempt on the previous day) & left me waiting for 3 minutes. U know how the phone would ring after a while so that a customer would not have to wait. She apparently forgot about me 'cause she picked up the phone again and said have you been help? I said I was waiting for you. She was like "oh sorry the package has been sent back to the sender" My friend called the mail lady again and she said I know you were going to pick it up so I made sure that they would not send it back to the sender. So he called the main office and the worker I just talked to said your friend called here and made trouble for me. I just asked her a question nicely and waited while she forgot that I was still waiting. He said I don't care if you're mad, just let me talk to your supervisor and she said "wait!". My friend talked to the supervisor and was told that someone already accepted the package. Just found out today that the mailman gave the package to the wrong house and now we have to wait a week to get it. The good thing is that the mailman tried a couple of times to deliver the package even though it was given to the wrong house. Some of the workers at the post office do not have a friendly attitude. If you're gonna complain that a customer create trouble for you, then don't work at all. I'm glad I don't live in this area. Sorry for the venting, it was just so frustrating. read more

So far I haven't been impressed but I'm going to still give them a chance to wow me. I got a notice that a package had arrived for me but for whatever reason they didn't deliver it. The note was stuck in my front door. I signed the note to give them permission to deliver and stuck the note back on my front door, where I had found it. I check my mail about once a week if I'm on top of things. Over the holidays, trip away, major cold, etc. I didn't check my mail for a while. When I finally did I found another one of those pesky notes like the one which had been placed on my door. Not expecting a delivery I didn't jump on it. I later find out it was an unexpected present from overseas which ended up getting returned to the sender. I called to complain about that and the fact that I have been getting mail for two separate residences in addition to my own. It turns out I'm supposed to sign the note and put it back in my mail box (there are no instructions on the note saying that). The second delivery attempt I received one of these little notes on my front door again. This time I signed it and placed it in my mail box, as instructed on the phone. That was two days ago. Yesterday I checked my front door but there was no package waiting. I'll have to check my mail box again tonight to see if they left another love note for me instead of delivery the d*%& package. I did learn that I can write a letter and put it in my mailbox providing instructions to deliver all future packages, even if they require a signature. I'm preparing this now and hope this will prevent future mishaps. I don't understand why they can't just deliver a package like all the other private package delivery companies do. Do you honestly expect anyone to be home during the day? ** update: I left the signed paper in my mailbox as instructed and when I checked the next day it was still there but the mail carrier (presumably) had circled the area where I am supposed to print my name underneath my signature. Seriously? It's like they're looking for excuses not to deliver the package. Worst mail annex ever!!!!!! WORST MAIL SERVICE EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember when they 1st started this annex. There were machines to buy stamps & a scale; but now nothing but a window and a place to deliver your mail. It seems like this annex gets worse & worse every year. Unfortunately for many residents in that area this postal annex is responsible for delivering mail. If you are one of the unfortunates that have your mail delivered from this postal annex I really feel sorry for you; because; . Never know what time of day the mail will be delivered or if it will be delivered that day or not. There is always a different mail carrier delivering your mail and they never seem to know what they are doing. Since last week I've had to go to the annex to pick up my mail because they won't deliver it to my address anymore. It is too difficult for them for some reason. Now I get everything 2 or more days later than I used to: ie; PG&E bill, other bills, Retirement checks and other mail. It was better before they had this postal annex. ......and the attitude of the workers inside the annex; they couldn't care less. read more

Just moved to this area and after the postman gave me the "Sorry we missed you" note the third time I am fed up with their laziness. This is ridiculous! I was home all day and never heard a single knock on the door, when i went out I see the note on the door telling me to pick it up. Its your job to deliver the pcakage TO THE DOOR. Boy in this day and age of the Internet with bill pay online and e-mail, I am so glad that I don't have to deal with the US Postal Service too much. This place is horrible and unfortunately THE place that I have to go to when a big package comes for me or something is returned in the mail. Yesterday in my mailbox I received a card telling me to come to the Lewis location to pick up a parcel that was returned to me. I figured it was a returned book that I sent since I use paperbackswap.com regularly. I went down there today during work hours to take care of the issue. When I gave him my slip, he found my package and told me that I needed to pay $2.58 to get the package back and that the address it was sent to was wrong. It was clearly obvious that the postage I paid last week ($2.58) was still intact. I didn't understand why I had to pay for the book to be returned. To get on with my life, I gave the pimp errr I mean mail person a $5 bill to get the book back. He tells me, he doesn't have change. What? So you want me to run out and get change so I can get my package back that clearly has the postage on it? Yeah right! I grabbed my $5 back, handed him back my book (that I wasn't going to miss in the first place because I read it already and I already explained the situation to the person requesting the book) and left.
