The post office staff are very polite and cordial and very efficient We moved homes and very important post was stuck in the mail box of the old apartment. Which if sent back to sender would have been extremely hard to get back even close to losing it. The supervisor quickly understood our concerns and kept us posted of what they are doing to get our mail back and held it for us The supervisor in person called to let me know about my package. Their service is exceptional and would recommend this office to anyone in the area over the other post offices. Doesn't have lines during week day and quick service and has ample parking. read more

Last thanksgiving we lost 2 packages and USPS folks are not even ready to participate in the investigation, making it very evident that one of the members are involved. Normally USPS packages come in the mail boxes but in those two instances the delivery note says 'door step'. Also when asked the manager to provide us with the co-ordinates of the courier person, he just started the conversation with the tone 'Apartments have often poor signal and it will be difficult to know time and location of the person'. In Jan we moved to brand new apartment where we don't have a mail box setup yet. Realizing that even after 12 days of actually delivery time we have not received the pkg , we checked the status and this is what it says. APR 29, 08:53 AM Delivered Package delivered by U.S. Postal Service to addressee SAN JOSE, CA Which is a lie given the fact that they don't deliver to the apartment as yet. During this time visited the branch twice - May 2nd and May 10th and they never gave us those packages. read more

Sent a package with EMS on Aug 21 and was told the scheduled delivery by Aug 27, but the status never got updated since Aug 22, and after 8 days, still did not deliver the package, on Aug 29, it wasted me over an hour to call in to check where is the package, and was told need 12 days to investigate what was happened...Hard to believe it happened...not so sure if can send EMS again... The post office has a pickup window that opens at 6a and a retail counter that opens later in the day. If you come when the retail counter is closed, the pickup window may or may not help you. I had to wait 30 minutes until the retail counter opened before being able to get my package. The person at the retail desk was great but I can't believe they have a pickup window and despite being able to hear people working in back, they choose to ignore the people ringing the bell for pickup. read more

This location used to be my go-to spot for all my postal needs when I used to work on N. First Street back in the day. Now that I work a little further, I'll only come here if I'm passing through. The service is super, gnarly fast...only if you go before or after the lunch crunch...or avoiding the holiday season altogether. But in general, I'm talking about in and out in a minute. However, I was disappointed during my last visit when I noticed they removed the vending machine and the smaller vending machine to buy individual stamps! :( Granted I had to go to the desk to buy one individual stamp. greeted ever so nicely and was in and out. But, what if it was after hours, I would've been screwed! I guess I'll just have to learn not to work OT or on the weekends. :D read more

Andrew (Caucasian Male with blue eyes) is EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! I walked in a few minutes before closing, and he had the audacity to tell me,"We close in two minutes, you NEED to come in prepared!" in the harshest tone of voice imaginable. All because I was about to tape my box closed and write a label out. I had a mask on, but my mouth literally fell open because I couldn't believe how rude this POS was. I told him flat out, "I think I'll be able to complete my transaction in a timely manner. There is no need to be rude!" He denied being rude, and quickly put on his best "customer service" voice for the rest of the transaction. Regardless of how he tried to recuperate from his rude outburst when I first walked in, I can't help leaving upset and angry. The fact that so many people are without jobs right now, and you have this guy there who can't even be polite is unbelievable. He is not deserving of that job, his attitude was so... what's the word I'm looking for? Oh I got it... PRIVILEGED! His attitude was as if treating customers like shit held no repercussions or consequences for him. Which is really disappointing, since the ladies there have worked so hard to create a warm and friendly environment there for customers. I have worked in the area for the last 7 years so I come here very often. I have had mostly good experiences here. The staff seem patient and helpful and willing to entertain my constant questions on which option has the best balance of speed and security :) . They do try a bit of gentle up-selling but overall, they seem genuinely nice. Hope it lasts! I do think at Christmas time, they need to increase the staff - the last time I went there, there were 3 people working at the counters (think there are 5 total) and there was a line going out of the door. They seemed to take their time with each customer which was a good thing for me as my package needed to be re-taped (registered requires them to tape it up) and the associate was very sweet about it. On the other hand, it took me 45 minutes to get to that point! read more

My experiences with USPS at other sites such as the ones in Fremont were not the best. Usually, they treat you like something on a conveyer belt and that you are there for their cause. But surprisingly, I was at Bayside USPS last week and I observed the female behind the counter was extremely friendly, efficient, and helpful to the five customers before me. read more

I am a business less then a mile away from them & they deliver Late Every day, I'm talking like 6 P.M., or sometimes not at all! I complained to the postmaster & he said the days the post man doesn't deliver it's because there is only a little mail, I didn't know there was a minimum of mail you had to get before they deliver. The First Lady I worked with was nice that I PURCHASED my tape and bubble wrap from. I'm shipping a car part that I was shipped by usps and wrapped it exactly the same way it came in. And they said they can't help me because they couldn't weigh the part because it was too big/long. So they told me to get a box big enough to put the part in so I asked them do you guys have boxes that would fit the part somehow even if it's folded. They pointed at their floor selection and said that's the boxes we have sir. Y'all no help at all. If you don't like working there then leave. Y'all need jesus. read more

I went to the post office today off junction ave. The employee helping me was literally THE NICEST. She said hello as soon as I walked in, helped me very swiftly, positively, and seemed so happy to help. I had a 5 transactions and not once did I feel uncomfortable or pressured to hurry or speed up. When I was leaving the station with her, I listened to her greet the customer behind me and still just as sweet and welcoming. Everyone should be like her. And thank you! For making my experience great. I left feeling so impressed and happy. I just wish I got her name. read more

One of the desk clerk was very informative, even though she could have just not told me all that information. First time at a post office that made me feel welcomed. I had really good service from this location! I missed a package and used the online option to indicate where my package was going to go. Initially I had it as a redeliver but then changed it to pick up. I wasn't sure which post office to pick it up at and submitted a ticket to get this answered from the main USPS site. I got a voicemail from this specific post office letting me know that my package was there and to give them a call back to let them know what I wanted them to do with it. I called the gentleman back 10 minutes before closing (I'm so sorry) and to my surprise he was still there and super helpful! He wasn't trying to rush me off the phone or anything, just really friendly and polite. I confirmed the pickup and went in the next day to grab my package. There was no line whatsoever and the employee that helped me was gone for maybe a minute before she had my package for me. Fast and easy, awesome! read more

Every time I make a package order that's being delivered from this branch they always leave a pickup note claiming that "no one was home to answer" (THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE HOME). Whoever is delivering packages from this particular branch to the North Flea Market neighborhood in 95131 really needs to actually put forth the effort in getting my packages delivered at the house and not just leave a note when people at my home are always home. read more

When picking up a package at 6am, don't be discouraged by noticing a dark building. I experienced pickup for the first time here today and the doors were open. Enter through the front door, then enter a second door. In front of you there will be a large white door with a buzzer button outside. I pressed the button ... waited a minute ... then pressed the button again. A lady opened the small window within the door. I handed her my tracking slip and I had my package in my hand in less than 30 seconds. Super easy and no one was around so no waiting either. Highly recommend going early since no one was around so no lines. read more

DO NOT BOTHER REQUESTING REDELIVERY FROM THIS BRANCH! I requested redelivery online and nobody came. No notice, nothing. I called the branch and the worker questioned whether I was home... but I know for a fact that there is always someone home! Since I didn't receive a notice, I doubt they even tried to redeliver my package. Now I have to pick up my package because I don't trust them to redeliver it before returning it to the sender. Priority shipping is the only kind of shipping that offers free boxes. You have to pay for the rest of the different services. It cost me $8 something to ship a textbook locally and $3 of that was for the bubblewrap envelope! read more

This post office is crazy busy. Everytime I come here, they normally have two people at the most working behind the counter and a line out the door. I am not joking. What made me upset was they had this new person at the counter who did not know the price of postage for postcards. Seriously. Good thing I did my research the night before and looked up the postage myself. I wanted to buy postcard stamps for my RSVP cards for my wedding invitations, and I needed stamps for various U.S. locations, Canada, France, and the Philippines. I went to this location last Friday at about 4:15 PM and there was only one person working behind the counter. There were about 8 people in front of me. Around 4:30 PM, another person opened up a line (who takes a break close to closing time, when the post office closes at 5?!?!) I finally got to the counter around 4:40 PM. When I reached the counter, I could tell the person helping me was a new person, because she did not know anything. She constantly had to ask other people working in the back how much postage was, where stamps were located, if it was even possible to mail postcards overseas, etc. etc. Oh yes, what pissed me off even more was she kept trying to sell me whole books of stamps instead of selling them individually, which is what I needed. AND, she kept trying to tell me postcard stamps were $0.75/each for the United States, but I knew for a fact they were only $0.28/each. WTH? I didn't get out of there until 5:05. Fifty minutes to get some stamps is ridiculous. read more

I called this post office trying to schedule a redelivery. My package was delivered much earlier than it was planned for, and I wasn't home to receive it. I called 408.456.0563. A lady promptly answered the phone and I thought "yay! finally, a public service that has real people answer the phone". My expectation was put too high indeed, I was asked to please hold, which I politely answered "sure". Alas, waited 10 minutes with no sound from the other end but the lady's blowing her noses for few times during those 10 minutes of holding. When I heard sounds, I kept saying "hello, hello" with no answer. What I am trying to say is, if you are not willing to help in any way, please just stay away from the phone and better off not answering it. Asking people to hold on the phone while you sit there and blowing your nose, is disrespectful and not to mention, a colossal waste of time. read more

Not sure why this office is rated so low. However reading some of the comments people are just a but uneducated or unreasonable. If you haven't been to the post office before, a mall, a grocery store you might realize places have a wait sometimes! Haha. I've been to quite a few post offices in the area and this one is by far the best. Each time I've come they move faster than any other office I've been to, they're knowledgeable, their office is well atocked, and they've always been helpful. I spoke to Debbie today about getting a packet re-delivered and she was completely rude from the second she picked of my phone call. I asked her if I could do a re-delivery option for my package and she assured me 3 times this could not be done. Even though I received a slip with my package stating that they will re-deliver. I then went ahead online and it allowed me to do it without ease. Absolute worst customer service, extremely rude from the beginning and she insisted she was not being rude but just telling me what the process is. Which cannot be accurate if I simply went online and it allowed me to choose a re-delivery option. Would NEVER recommend going to this Post-office. read more

Worst company on earth, what they tell you online to when they deliver is not true. They say 1 to 3 days, means 10 to 20 days. Run as far as you can, they are horrible and customer service is worse, they know nothing about anything anywhere. I have something that needed to be delivered on-time and sent it first class which it say 1-3 biz days but I sent it about 14 days early, we are in day 16 and still no delivery. When I called them, they don't know when it's going to be delivered and when I asked them why does it say it 1-3 days, they said it's not guaranteed and when I said nothing online saying that you don't guarantee, their answer was, "we don't have anything that says we guarantee" that was their answer believe it or not. read more
