I am not sure why this location has so many poor reviews. I have consistently had good experiences at the Sierra Gardens location over the years. During the Christmas season, I have mailed dozens of packages out from this location and have never had an issue. The staff working the counter have been helpful and efficient. My favorite thing about this location is that the lobby is open 24/7 - if you need to buy stamps or ship a package, you can do that at any hour of the day via the self-service kiosk. It has been super convenient since I am not able to get to the post office during business hours due to my work schedule. read more

Over two years ago, they moved the new mailboxes on my property. I have been trying to get it moved because I do not want it on my property. No one ever calls me back and no one has ever come fixed it horrible customer service and you can't even talk to a supervisor. read more

Pm i pulled up to the drop off mailbox There was a person taking the mail out of the mailbox as I was putting my mail in the slot one of my pieces didn't fit through as the slot was to thin Unfortunately I wasn't able to get out of my car and i asked the person in a very polite voice if they wouldn't mind grabbing it for me. I honestly didn't think they would but i thought possibly due to my situation they might.... Unbelievable response I got Instead of " I'm sorry " I'm not able to " I got are you serious you want me to stop and grab your mail you can put it in the drop ok that was being nice how i wrote it.... This employee was so rude and how she looked and talked to me was so very unprofessional So in a calm voice I just said thank you and You have a wonderful day and drove away.. Kenneth sandell is by far one of the worst supervisors there is. I would stay away from this branch. He has a lack of communication skills and the ability to understand. He does not care about the income of the usps corporation. He cares about going home. Talking with other supervisors we are being told they are going to accommodate our needs. 30 minutes later is a nasty email from Kenneth. Busy location in Roseville Except for mailbox drop offs I haven't used the post office in ages since I ceased selling on eBay many moons ago when I was a stay-at-home mom. That child is turning 19 soon so that gives you an idea how long ago it was when I used the post office. I was contemplating in doing this transaction during my 30-min lunch schedule. I went. 10-min drive to this location: I arrived at the post office and saw the line -holy moly- the line wrapped around where the private P.O. Boxes (mailbox rental) were. I decided to just chance it and hopefully there were enough clerks inside to handle the crowd. I made my way to the queue. 7-min standing in line: Surprisingly, the line went pretty fast! [yay!] and before I knew it I am being assisted by a postal worker. There were two of them at the window at the time. I inquired if the box I used was the most cost-saving for me and she said yes so I was glad that I didn't have to take it back with me and re-package. It even included insurance and tracking # for free. I got lucky in this experience as I'm sure it isn't always this way. 10-min back to work: I made it back to work within my lunch break... They process US Passport applications in this location also. This post office gets crowded and a long line but the postal workers were very pleasant and helpful. In the past I've had horrible experiences here. I could never get ahold of anyone on the phone, I'd wait in endless lines. I dreaded signature required deliveries from USPS because I knew that mean I'd have to deal with them directly now. However, for the first time I called in and got a human on the phone within a minute. The guy was able to find my package (there was an address issue on the package) and he made sure I'd be able to pick it up the next Saturday. Hopefully this is how things go with this USPS store from here on out and this wasn't a one time lucky incident. Went here today to drop off a package. The bag I was sending was still open, I didn't want to tape it up if they didn't want me using the bag that my item was shipped in. I started to explain that and the lady (middle aged with glasses that was working around 1:30pm) with a major attitude, cut me off immediately telling me she can't do anything with it open. I said to her "please let me finish" and I went to explain again, and again she cut me off. Said "you need to go over there and tape it". So I did and asked where the tape was. Her response "you can buy it over there for $3.99." Soooo rude. Mind you, there was a huge line when I got there and I listened to her complain to every customer about how mad she is that they only have 2 people working today. I had no problem with the wait, but I had a huge problem with how rude this woman was. I told her she probably needed to go home and she said no I don't. Another customer in line said that they need to do away with USPS offices (considering how mean the workers are). It's just unfortunate that an actual employee is this rude to a customer. Thankfully I can handle bad attitude, but someone that was having a terrible day for whatever reason, could really be affected by someone like this lady. Do better as a person. The staff here is phenomenal! My niece left her glasses at my house this weekend and no one realized it until my family was well on their way home to Nevada. I told them I would overnight them this morning since she needs them for school. The woman at the counter helped me package them securely and pick the best shipping option. She was very patient since I was kind of clueless, not at the post office much. She even took the time to make sure I got the right amount of change from my payment. I had not been to the bank and my only payment method was a $100 bill. She was able to find change and go above and beyond by doing so. She could have just said, NO. Thanks for helping my little niece get her glasses asap and in one piece. Got an adorable book of stamps too. read more

I get that they are federal employees and they are not going to do a single thing that they are not absolutely required to do, but when you go into self-service and can't mail a package because they haven't dumped the bins all weekend is a bit much. Consistently slow, consistently under staffed. This office has little motivation to move things along in a thrifty manner. It doesn't matter what time of the year, week, or day. Would leave zero stars if I could. I got there with ample time before closing. The person working the window where you pick up keys was very unhelpful and should be ashamed of himself. He took forever helping the customers in front of me so by the time he came out it was 2 minutes after 5 and said he couldn't help me because he had to go since he was 2 minutes over the end of his shift. I kindly explained to him that I was just there to pick up keys and I was here waiting for a while before he was even closing. He just told me he couldn't help me and closed his window. This is definitely not my favorite post office in the area. It's unfortunate that it is our main post office. The parking situation is really bad and just has gotten worse over the last couple of months. It's near impossible to find a spot some days. The employees are kind of hit or miss on friendliness. Sometimes I feel as though I am totally inconveniencing them by just being there. But you do get the ones that will match your attitude and remain friendly. I've had a few issues with packages not being delivered over the last few months and had to come here to figure out where they are. Most the time it's pointless because the employees here don't really ever have any information to give me on where things are or what I can do to find out. The last time I was here they told me that if I had an issue I just needed to go to West Sacramento and talk to the post office there, which is frustrating. We usually ship quite a few packages thru the mail and fill out a form on line for these packages to be picked up, by the USPS, it never fails that on the weekend they put there worst driver on the rout , some time I dont think they can read as they always forget to pick up our packages , with all the problems the post office has had over the last few years you would think they would try to get something right . What else do people expect a review of the USPS besides they're horrible. Within the last 12 months I've had 3 packages get stuck somewhere for no reason then go back and forth to different regions of the country.. something called looping. Their staff over the phone may be friendly but they're absolutely no help, as well as the leads. I don't even go to the USPS in Granite Bay because I've found an employee there to be no help as well, including very "short", not in regards to height. I'd rather spend 3x as much $$ going through UPS or FEDEX. I would like to add that our mail person Ellie is great! read more

The postal workers here CONSTANTLY deliver to the wrong address. This location keeps its phone off the hook so you can't talk to the local person to get it straightened out. The people that are supposed to help you here are your typical government workers who don't give a crap because they know they won't get fired. Sucks we're FORCED to use USPS. Also sucks that they force UPS and FedEx to use them on the last leg of many shipments. Lose a package? You're SOL. That has happened way too many times for me to count. read more

I moved out of state and before moving I shipped 8 packages from this office. I got 7 of the 8. The only one not to show up was my computer. It's was the one thing I need to show up. Unfortunately the tracking number said it was to delivered on July 1st. Still it has not shown up. I have called them several times, and emailed them and they do not know where it is. They use their own website that we all have access too for checking tracking numbers. So far after the several times I have contacted them, I have heard nothing. They lost a $1500 computer that I needed for work and other projects. I will never be using any USPS office again for shipping. read more

Long lines, not enough staff to answer their bell to pick up mail (waited for 15 minutes & finally got in the regular line to get service), & they NEVER answer their phone so you have to go there in person to get a question answered. Our mail box has been broken for two weeks here in Sun City & there was NO notification that they had stopped our delivery other than no mail in our box for three days. Consequently, we have to go down to the PO daily to pick up our mail. When I initially spoke to a clerk & asked if the outgoing mail was being picked in our box, she assured me is was & that the box should be fixed within 7 days. NPT TRUE. Bills & cards have been late. Later I spoke to a supervisor who said he had NO idea when the box will be fixed. I told him that there are people in our community who no longer drive so they need to get the box repaired. He didn't seem to care & said it will be repaired in the order of the repair ticket being submitted. Very poor customer service! read more

I've never experienced anything like what is happening since I moved from Santa Clara County. I am not receiving some mail (mostly bills) but I am getting all my junk mail. Other mail is very LATE. I am the one being penalized with late fees!!! They do not answer the phone. I have made over 50 attempts in the last month. I finally had to drive down to talk to Kenneth the supervisor. A lot of my mail is not being processed by machine or by hand. This leaves me with an unmarked envelope that has no date stamped on it - making it impossible to prove when I received it. The scary thing is. When you do not receive your mail, There is no way to know (unless it is a bill)! I urge all who read this to call the 800 number and report it. I know, you will have to wait on hold for 45 to 60 minutes, but if the USPS or Inspector General is not made aware of this, NOTHING will change. read more

A review of the late night services. I have never been here during the day but it is a great place to use the self service machine to mail holiday stuff. The location and parking lot is well lit.
