Finding it wasn't actually that bad, it just looked like an apartment complex, but was really more like a community of businesses that looked like it was transformed from an old condo complex. Once I found it, I learned while I was there, used to work with the police and started doing this. They were professional, nice, quick, and efficient! Side note: I have had a live scan done so many times for my work, when I renewed my passport...etc, and my hands sweat! So it's always a long process of them trying to figure out how to get my prints from looking smudgey. This location, the employee got it on the first try with both hands. My fingerprints had been rejected 3 prior times using the sheriff's office and a mail/ship store. So I was rather anxious when my husband and I walked into 5 Star Fingerprints with our orders. The office is very clean and welcoming. The process to take our fingerprints was quick and easy. By the time we reached our car our FBI background checks were in our email, sent by the channeler that 5 Star work with. Going to a company who specializes in fingerprints rather than a mail/ship store is certainly a better option. What a day today. I was stressed about my fingerprints being decline twice for poor quality at a different location which was a UPS location. Needed a livescan verification for our kid's school and in a hurry because I put it off until the deadline and was having trouble finding somewhere open before 9 am or after 5 pm. 5 Star Fingerprinting is conveniently located right off Stanford Ranch Road exit from HWY 65 and is open until 6 pm! I called as traffic was bad and I was worried I might not make closing time. The staff was super friendly on the phone and told me they could take the last customer at 5:45 pm and would wait for my arrival. Made it at 5:40 pm and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They were friendly, the cheapest I could find in the area and did a great job. I got my clearance notification from the school the next morning, so they are also reliable. If you need this tedious task done, don't put it off, get yourself to 5 Star Fingerprinting and check it off your To Do List now! Although a bit hard to find, they are so very nice and efficient! Apparently printing out forms is too much work and they aren't willing to build the two cents it costs into their fee. There are only 500 livescan places in the area so I'd recommend choosing one of them. I'm guessing they will happily print out a form. read more

Went in for just the $20 live scan, my whole part of the application filled out and everything, she check it all and then told me the total was $69 after she did it all when I had said the $20 one. Part of the issue was with the school i'm working at not filling out their address portion. But i'm also a young adult, unaware of a few things she was talking about and kind of felt like she was taking advantage of that knowledge and even when I said I was coming in for the $20 live scan and was just volunteering for a highschool so I didn't need an fbi background check or the other option but she had already checked it off and wasn't able to change it so i just gave up and paid the $69 bc i couldn't deal with it anymore. Lady definitely was having a bad day but she didn't need to take more of my money for something i clearly stated I didn't want or need. Little upsetting as I was recommended this place. read more

I tried to get fingerprinted at Rocklin PD and a local Sherrif's Dept. Due to COVID, these services are no longer provided by some of these agencies. 5-Star was recommended by Rocklin PD.
