Deplorable customer service. The middle eastern postal worker behind the counter today at closing was beyond rude, inefficient, slow and unhelpful. I approached the counter to send one package with the addresses in large bold print. The return address was simply a local PO Box. He tried to force me to hand write the addresses with a smeared sharpie on plastic packaging instead, which was uncalled for, harder to read & a waste of time with at least 20 ppl in line behind me. I had already been waiting in line for over a half hour and he was pulling ppl he knew in, to jump the rest of us in line. I finally checked out at the kiosk instead, glad to be rid of his negativity. He was literally being difficult, creating new unnecessary rules just to be awful. While at the kiosk, right before closing, he almost slammed another patrons hand in the door refusing to take her package that was already paid for. It wasn't even 5pm yet. He humiliated her and seemed to derive pleasure from me. I will never return back to this dysfunctional USPS. Hands down the worst one I've ever been to. 0/10 never again. read more

Maija is awesome! I had a two-part process where I needed to purchase a self-addressed stamped envelope with certified mail and also send out that package. Maija patiently explained the different rates and had a sweet smile the entire time. I left feeling really glad that employees like this are out there. This job really suits her, because she really is the epitome of good customer service. I don't usually like going to the post office because of crowds, and opt for doing my postage on Pirate Ship and having USPS do pickups at our house, so I was dreading this visit. But it was surprisingly easy with Maija's help today. The facility didn't smell very good...lots of BO but that could be from customers. Garbage facility. If this rocklin facility carry your mail I highly suggest getting a P.O. Box instead. Our mail man must be slow or the laziest person on this planet. Multiple time I've had mail come and instead of my package or mail I get a "mailbox is too full" note when my box is empty and we have bigger over flow boxes too. Filing complaints does nothing. I don't even know how they haven't been audited or investigated with all the low ratings and complaints of this place. read more

Unfortunately I am not able to give this USPS location a good review. It's sad because I have always loved supporting the post office opposed to online or other services. (A detailed review of my experience is below & at the bottom is a summary) The staff at this location are extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been here twice this month to send bubble mailers to those in need. Both times that I have been there the self service machine was out of order so the only other option was going to the counter. The first time I came in I did have a large quaintly of mailers about 45 of them. I felt bad but was already there and needed to do it in person per my company as well as get a paper receipt. The mail clerk at the counter, Lupe, was rude from the moment she saw my 2 small bags of mailers. She told me I could just do it online & I replied with I am sorry that the self service machine is broken but I am here in person and needing a receipt that day. She called for another clerk to come help & the entire time she scanned the bubble mailers she made no eye contact with me, made sighs & glances at other people. After she scanned everything, I said thank you & she did not reply but aggressively circled the QR code on the receipt that you can use for feedback and made no eye contact with me. The entire encounter was extremely unnecessary since I was polite the whole time and said I would have used the machine if it was working. She made it very clear that she was inconvenienced by me bringing in business to the post office. I came back yesterday since I had about 8 more bubble mailers to send out & this is the closest location to my work. Upon arrival the self service machine was still broken. I went to the counter and Lupe once again was there. She recognized me from last time and started out with an extremely dirty look. I politely stated I only had a few this time (about 8) & would use the machine if it was working. Lupe rudely replied & said she was still going to call for help even though there were only a couple of people behind me and since I already had everything filled out it took her about 5 minutes max. When she called for help a new clerk arrived next to her named Joe. Joe looked at me, looked at the bubble mailers, looked at Lupe and said " oh this is the difficult window you were talking about". They looked at each other & Lupe smirked. I stood there baffled because I knew they were talking about me & my visit from last time. I didn't say anything until the end of transaction because I wanted to see what else would happen. Once again at the end of the transaction she sighed and gave me dirty looks. I finally said, I'd like to please speak to a supervisor because I know the "difficult window" you both are talking about is me & that doesn't make people want to support USPS when you're being rude to polite customers. Lupe tried to play it off & say it was about something else but then started mumbling and said their supervisor was at the customer service window. I went to the customer service window & a woman named Caitlin said their post master wasn't there & the supervisor wasn't there but she tried to be helpful and listen to my feedback. She agreed that I shouldn't feel inconvenienced by bringing in my packages and encouraged me to scan the QR code to leave a review & write a review on yelp. I was then told later in the conversation that their supervisor was in a meeting. I'm not sure what the whole truth was on that. Moral of this whole long story is, the staff here are not pleasant & I won't be returning to this location. Supervisors should be available at the window so that feedback could be given and staff should be retrained to not get verbally & physically upset because they have to scan mailers- which is their job! Please be aware of this location as you may not have a very good experience. read more

Before I moved I went into the Rocklin PO and filled out the change of address paperwork. I waited in line until my turn the employee entered the address and said I was good to go. I DID NOT HAPPEN. I don't know why such a low rating at 2.5 by other Yelpers but this Post Office is the fastest and best customer service within 10 mile radius! I've been to this location at least 25-30 times and not once had any issues. Waiting time is usually less than 3-5 min. The front cashiers are courteous and always greet me. Location is very convenient for me since it's only about 10-12 min drive from where I live. They offer a wide range of packages, cards, tape and stamps. If you live within driving distance I strongly recommend using this location..... you won't be disappointed. 5 stars all around service read more

As a resident of an apartment complex with around three hundred units, I'm amazed that my carrier manages to deliver mail consistently without error. Equally amazing is the speed with which mail is received and out for delivery. As an example, the Rocklin office received a package this morning at 6:30 am and it was out for delivery by 7:34 am. I think that's outstanding. Our carrier is known and appreciated by residents for his music and congeniality as well as for his error free delivery. Moreover, it behooves us to recall that today's mail carriers brave the same weather and challenges as did the courageous men who risked life and limb when mail was delivered via horse and coach. We Americans have every reason to be grateful to our mail carriers and thank them when possible for their service. read more

First time at this location, but I was extremely impressed with how quickly they got us through the line. With three people in line in front of we only waited about five minutes and once we were at the register we were out within minutes. I also didn't feel rushed, everyone was polite. It is super user friendly in a way that it labels the envelopes, the boxes and other packing information according to how fast your want your items delivered to your location. Being that I hardly ever go to the post office, I am kind of a dummy when it comes to shipping packages to people. Last Friday (Black Friday to be specific), I came to this specific location in Rocklin (mainly because it had a nice big parking lot and I didn't want to go to the downtown location in Roseville to look for street parking). I wanted to mail some Christmas presents to my sister who lives in Philadelphia. A little worried about the Christmas rush and COVID, I wanted to deliver it through priority express shipping (which is a two to three day delivery). I placed the flat wrapped presents in a thick padded envelope (I grabbed the envelope marked priority express) and I instantly found the labels that were all marked either- standard shipping, priority express, first class mail overnight shipping and standard express delivery. Easy! I grabbed the correct label and placed my address and my sister's address on the envelope. Once I got through the line, the woman rang up my purchase and asked me if I had anything fragile or delicate in the envelope; I told her nothing was fragile so it was okay. She rang me up and I only spent a little over $8; not a bad price at all. My receipt even contained the tracking information on it. My sister texted me a few days later and told me she got her package safe and sound. I will continue to use this post office for all my future deliveries. I sent my brother a letter that had four old coins enclosed. THEY WERE ALL STOLEN! I dropped off the letter at this post office and when the letter arrived to my brother all the coins were gone and the letter was ripped ever so perfectly to take the coins. One of the coins was a 1943 lady head dime that was given to me by my grandfather just before he passed. I have lost my trust and any future service with the postal service. read more

And certainly would never do that during the holiday season when postal and shipping staffers are extremely busy and customers are varied. That said, I've never been told to get out of the postal office when I'm the last person standing in line because they are now closed. Closed is a funny word. Does Closed mean it's after your hours? Or did you close early like in this case. In either event customer service does not exist in this facility. And rudeness runs rampant at this one. Updated Review: One star for how the older brunette lady with highlights treated my wife. After my wife had stood in line up to 5 p.m., the lady yelled at my wife that they were closed. Words were exchanged and she blamed management for not locking the doors at five p.m. It's situations like this that the Post Office is in the red and has no real relevance today. I know "management" will never, ever address this but that won't stop me from commenting. Original Review: Three stars for being an average post office. I've been to worst (thinking of the 20016 post office in Washington, DC) and better. No real issues. Like any post office, you're dealing with slow lines, due to the employees and customers. Excellent service Judging from the typical reputation of the Postal Service I was always skeptical about service here. Every time I have came though they have answered questions quickly and resolved issues. I wanna highlight one experience I just had, so I shipped a phone to Florida, the customer paid extra for next day air as he insisted he needed it ASAP. Since I always choose USPS, I used their Priority Mail Express which was guaranteed one day. So I shipped it the next day and it said guaranteed for Wednesday, not delivered. They have a money back guarantee though. In the process of getting a refund I discovered the cut off time is 3:15 for next day (ironic as I dropped it off at ~3:30). He said that normally they wouldn't issue refund but would make exception. So I got my $20 back same day and was very surprised after reading about horror stories saying it takes months with tons of phone calls to get it back. It's worth mentioning though that it does not say anywhere cut off is 3:15 for NDA. In fact even on USPS's website I put in the zip codes and package size on price estimator and selecting up to 5:00pm yielded a next day guarantee. Confused, but I'll just drop from 3:15 now on. Overall very impressed, Suuk (sorry I probably spelt wrong) and the lady at the counter are very friendly and enjoy assisting you. In 6 years of eBay, selling 100s of items the postal service has only lost one package (luckily only a $5 thing, and it was during a tornado so understandable) and only been delayed (by one day at most) two or three times.
