Mail Boxes Plus is very disorganized and poorly run. I waited for quite some time while the only employee (possibly the owner) was chatting with another customer about her dogs. When I finally asked for help faxing a legal document, the fax machine/copier wasn't working because the feeder was broken. I then decided to just mail my documents instead, but I needed certified mail, which requires a postage meter not stamps. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough postage loaded on the meter, so I was told I'd have to use stamps, which doesn't work for certified mail. Overall, a frustrating experience. The business seemed unprepared, unorganized, and unable to provide basic services. I won't be returning. read more

Beware. In my opinion they have thieves working here. I dropped off a B'day card & placed it inside a 2nd day envelope. It should have gone to UPS in Rocklin. It never arrrived? My opinion is the employee at this store opened the envelope & the B'day card, found a nice pay day & it disapeared before going to UPS, Rockin for delivery. The owner was completely uncooperative in looking at cameras in the store. While I was still in store she lied to UPS & stated the envelope left the store even when she admitted to me she was not at the store when it might have been picked up? I wanted to add to the reviews for this place. In these crazy times where many of us are now having limited interactions with ppl, the few we do have carry more weight. In all the times I've gone in for service or to check my mail, the employees have been extremely helpful & friendly, even when busy. They are personable and always put a mask on when they see someone walking up to enter. I appreciate this approach so much! There are other nearby businesses to them who do not seem to care at all about being polite towards the safety of others right now. How could anyone not love this place? We've had a mailbox here for 7 years, and the service has always been beyond expectations. Friendly, with a smile, even during those darn lockdowns. We initially got the box because mailbox thieves were in our area. But once the guy was caught, we kept using it because it eliminated the risk of porch pirates at xmas. Further, we no longer had to worry when stuff we ordered was delivered on a different day than promised. It was safe, even if we were out of town! Amazing service from the staff and owner! Super friendly and knowledgeable! Never a line to wait in, no need to wait an hour at the post office for stamps and to mail 1 letter!! They also sent faxes for me, sent packages (shipped by weight and size - they do it all!) for me, made over 400 copies, and sold my children Father's Day cards for them to give their dad (at a price that the kid's allowances could easily afford!), and never spent anything near what I expected! I stopped in the night before last to check on mailing out a package. The girl was so nice and helpful. I asked if they wrapped as well as boxed and she said yes! With enthusiasm. So I returned the next evening with my box and two items that needed to be wrapped. It was a different girl... And I must say I was extremely disappointed and taken them back by her flippant attitude. This older woman acted like I was imposing upon her when I asked if she would wrap two small items before boxing them up for shipment. Oh mylanta... The attitude came out and let me tell you the half ass job done on the wrapping and then she charged me $10! I was absolutely flabbergasted and asked where the prices were posted. She kept ignoring me. So I kept asking, where are the prices posted for wrapping? A guy walked in and she quickly put her attention on him and then swung her head back my way and said, " not everything in the store has a price on it and if you wanted to know the price you could've asked before." Excuse me? Then she says you want me to unwrap them! I paid the $10 and said I was taking my business to FedEx because I needed to send the package that night. Okay, so it's not very often I feel a burning desire to write a review for a mailbox store, but I do, so I will. For some reason, the difference in price from the UPS store to Mail Boxes Plus to pack and ship my cd player was 30 dollars. 30 dollars cheaper! Unbelievable. The woman behind the counter was extremely friendly, I didn't get her name. ALSO, this store is in the shopping center parking lot of the GODS. I love this shipping, mailing, bubble wrapping, and popcorn establishment. The wonderful ladies that run this shop are all Superstar Rocket Surgeons!!! Recently my company switched from UPS to FedEx to do all their shipping. But since I have been such a regular here at MBP they said that they would box up my stuff to help me out anyway, which helps me to avoid the long, longer, and longest wait times at the Fed Ex / Kinko's. Anyway, today the most amazing thing happened. I brought my equipment in to be bubble wrapped and popcorned and I was out the door in a jiffy. But somehow I forgot to include the most important pieces of paper that I always need to ship with my stuff. I left them on the MBP counter. So, to my amazement and astonishment, Holly surprised me with these most important documents, down at the Fed Ex / Kinko's shop (about 1/2 mile away) where I had been waiting in line for about 20 minutes. She knew that I would still be there. I have shared before that the service here is impeccable but I just thought I would share another great story that truly made my day. For her to bring those papers down to me at the FedEx shop was far and beyond the best thing that could have happened. Thank you Holly again for doing that for me. Holly is amazing!!! Someone else walked in wanting to mail a package and the employees were kind enough to let her know that the package should get there sooner if the woman went up the street to the post office. I went in to get my documents signed last Friday. The format and spelling of my last name was wrong. I found this out when I went to submit my documents at Secretary of State. They rejected the documents because of the errors. I had to then go back to her to get these errors corrected. She didn't take responsibility for her errors, in fact, she tried to put the blame on me, the customer. Mistakes do happen, but it's so unprofessional to not accept the blame when it is clearly her wrong doing. I would not recommend this notary. read more

Mail Boxes Plus - Letter of rejected documents - Mailbox Centers Near Me - Roseville, California

I had gotten a mailbox rental for a week but it ended up that I didn't need it at all, I had no mail coming in. I went back to to get a refund and all I got back was a $5 deposit on the key. I never got back the $15 security deposit or the initial payment for the mailbox. I am extremely disappointed for paying so much, to get jipped even on the security deposit. For that matter, I could have went to the post office itself, I could have gotten a $35 PO BOX rental for 6 months. Compared to a 3 month rental costing upwards to $70. It just shows, I won't come back anytime soon. WHAT'S THE POINT OF PAYING A SECURITY DEPOSIT IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THAT BACK. (This is not even a BBB accredit business). read more

This company has an amazing work ethic. They are always open on time, they acknowledge you as a customer when you walk in to the store no matter how many customers they have. They then explain every shipping method, costs, pros/cons of each one. Very professional, but have a sense of humor. The customer service is terrible. The owner, Julie, is very rude and has a condescending attitude. She was very impolite and impatient and had a lot of snide remarks when I came in with a relative one day to have some notary documents signed. I do not recommend this place at all to do business. Took in two certified letters to be mailed ( I weighed both at work to know prices) and know that what I was charhed is pure theft. The cost of both should be about $14 but was charged $21.00. My mother insisted that this place good and honest. The lady helping was snotty and rude and the charge dishonest. I agree that Holly is very helpful. Unfortunately for me, I had to interact with Julie, the owner. I saw no posting that checks were not accepted (even though Holly always did), Julie refused to take a check saying that she gets bad checks.
