First of all, I usually not complain anything, I went to this location near me. I got my tape, purchased box and two greeting cards from them. One of my mail was a gift bag with tangly holder he mentioned it'll caught in the machine, we couldn't send this. Then he was nice enough to suggest me to remove than I did. Then my second package brought from there it has about 3" slide insert both sides. I wanted more secure by using my typed on both sides. "Patrick" said couldn't accept this package cause my tape was not ok to use. Then I figured to fix the problem by double typing. I had secure over typing both sides like 5-6 times! next to him. Patrick saw me finished taping and then when I was ready to mail, Patrick said Could not accept your package. As that time,I upset over why he would not stop me from working on my tape. Plus not make any sense if I double typed still not ok? Why make a big deal about it. He refused my package. I want this to work for both of us so I started to mention I have worked at usps in the plant for years I know how the machine run and this is ok. Patrick responded " go to your service!" I was shock how he responded unkind, unprofessional and no friendly and no good communication. So I asked his name and said you should have a better customer service and communication before I left with my package to else where. I decided to call usps and after investigating. Apologize is not going to solve the problem. All Customers needs to be treated with respect and professional. If the tape is usps rule and issue why another usps location happy accepted my package??? Can Patrick explains to everyone here please?? Why usps another location happily accepted my package?? He even sang a song while he was working! That really made my day! Consistently great service from the postal staff at this downtown Roseville location. They are knowledgeable, professional, friendly, patient, efficient, and accurate in their handling of counter services. I have 15 years of experience utilizing both the former downtown location and this newer location on Grant St., across from the City Hall, and the level of service with each visit has been exceptional. With over 50 years experience shipping with the USPS the employees of this location provide the best service I've seen. Easy parking at the multi-level parking structure next to this post office. Our community is very fortunate to have this quality of service available every day. I visit this facility at least twice a month and it's always a pleasant experience and my letters and parcels have always arrived at their destination on time with trouble free service. A+ read more

The front counter employees don't seem to be too happy with helping people, I mean some people, they smile and make conversation with some customers and treat the next one like they are being bothered. Meanwhile, while they are involved in making new friends , the line keeps growing and people keeps wasting their time. They need to install more self service kiosks and maybe just use the employees to help customers with using them. They do that in airports, why not in the post office?? read more

For 4 years now I have had good service from the Roseville Post Office. However over the last couple of months (April 2025 and May 2025) the service on 2 occasions has been really poor. I had sent a payment to the Franchise Tax Board using a pre-addressed envelope. The letter was lost as a result I needed to pay interest as well as paid $5 extra to send the payment electronically using my Visa Card. The reason I chose to use my Visa Card and pay electronically was - I didn't want the letter to get lost in the mail and get charged additional interest. Then my CitiBank Visa Bill never arrived - first time! I reached out to the US Post Office to discuss and all I got was a phone message asking me if I still lived on Rocky Ridge an address I haven't lived for 4 years. Then I called the post office in Roseville and went thru many options and finally transferred me to inside the office - after 5 rings message says to call back later and doesn't allow me to leave a message. First time using this post office in downtown Roseville and it was a great experience. The line was very short and the staff was very welcoming and friendly (not something you usually expect from a government worker). The only downside is they do not have parking spot right in the front. They have a parking garage downstairs. But I saw lots of people just parking in the No-loading zone in front for a quick stop. read more

I usually come to post office in downtown roseville to drop mail off or use the self service kiosk. Today was the first time I actually went up to the window. It's a small clean place. There are signs all over one of them stating we don't have free tape. It has to be purchase. When I arrived it was pretty empty. There was one customer packing his items and another at the window. My review is for the newish Grant St. post office. (The pictures on here are of the old one on Vernon Street.) This post office seems small for a Roseville City post office but it is clean and nice. There are two windows, an area to stand and wait, a small place to address packages and a lot of P.O. Boxes. The wait is the usual....a few people ahead of you at all times. Simayra or something like that (my spelling/memory is bad, sorry) was nice and helpful. She took care of business. The only drawback is the severe lack of parking. The area in front of the post office is lined with no parking allowed & at the time of this writing there are sidewalks cordoned off and it is not real accessible. Wow haven't had to call customer service in a while, well now usps has made it more impossible to speak to a customer service representative than it would be to get transferred to Bidens personal line. If you want to know about what happened to your package and tracking dosnt help much, well you have to put in a work request of some sort. No thank you. If I wanted to speak to a robot I'd find cheaper faster and more convenient methods like fedex. Even those guys have a customer service line where you can reach a human being. I remember coming to this post office when I couldn't see over the counter. Its been around forever. I have an Ebay business. I ship over 100 packages a month and I ship everyday. I avoid this location because parking is terrible! It use to be okay until the city took out the nearby parking lot about a year ago. Yeah I could park in the garage but I also don't want to carry my heavy mail bins that far. I quit coming but had to visit this past Tuesday. OY! This was the day after the Memorial day holiday at 11am. You would think that there would be more than 2 people at the counter. While my mail is stamped and paid for, I needed to switch out my bins to get empty ones. Had to wait while the very patient Mail Clerk was trying to explain to a customer why here package was still in Limbo because it was being routed through OnTrac. I use to know most of the clerks here and now I don't. Short staffed or whatever, some common courtesy and compassion would go a long way. Not once did I hear anyone says, "thank you for waiting. We will be right with you." Side note, normal civilians seem to be alluded by the rules, dos and don'ts of postal mailing who seem to be the ones I often get stuck behind. Do your homework people. The hours that they are open evidently are the same as hours you can access your PO box! If you sleep late on Saturday, you can't access it. Its closed on Sunday. If you have to go to work before 10 am (most people), you can't access it in the morning ANY day of the week. And, they close every weekday at 5 pm, so if you get off of work at 5, too bad! Incredibly poor access to post office boxes and post office service. Got to wonder who dreamed up those hours. Before they moved, PO boxes available 24 hrs a day. ??????? read more

Yeap, Its a Post Office! I think they are all pretty standard, but I get my mail here, so that makes this one special! Also, this one has a bunch of paper stands out front, so if you dont want to buy bubble wrap when you ship your items, you can just grap some free newspaper packing from the wheels and deals, or real estate bins. Oh, if you get here around 6-7pm, you can be greeted by the local vagrant fella sitting on the stairs. He usually doesnt say anything, but it seems the few times he has, I've been on the motorcycle with my headphones on underneath the helmet, so sorry buddy, didnt hear a word you just said! read more

Possibly one of the worst post offices I've ever used. There are many post office boxes inside however there are only approx. 5 parking stalls provided for patrons. No signs are on the glass doors for the entrance on Grant St. And the only way to deposit a letter is to use a blue mailbox outside on the street. Have never had a problem with the employees at this location. I liked to buy stamps & mail pkgs here after hours. The homeless laying on the floor didn't bother me. What I didn't like the other night was finding the doors locked!! WTF? Should be accessible 24 hrs & nothing posted on door about the apparent change. I like to walk into PO & insert my mail in the slot. Not place into outdoor boxes that are broken into. Since the PO is basically bankrupt & svc is minimal, this is no surprise. We should be able to enter, mail our envelopes, weigh our pkgs & drop them, etc. Not acceptable. read more

My post office... Although I don't come here as often anymore as I did in the past I practically know everyone working in the front counter and vice-versa because of my eBay business. Friendly people and very helpful :) The building is old, probably historic, it needs some updating and maybe expanding as it does get crowded. There is a separate window to claim packages. I phoned the Roseville post office for days. I would listen to the entire message and wait while it is ringing, every time, then it sounds like someone hangs it up. After waiting 2 hours to get the local phone number it doesn't work it's out of order we went in to have a package scanned in at the post office they asked us to leave it on the counter because the lines were long and the package was prelabeled they did not scan the package and so now I'm having to track my package not very happy with the Postal Service all automated it's rare to be able to reach a live person we can't even call the local post office to ask them if the box is still sitting on the counter. Now I'm going to have to make a second trip to go down there and find out what happened to my package not the way it's supposed to be!!! read more

I went in on a Saturday afternoon. Only one guy working with 2 other women were standing around. The guy that helped me was very nice and provided great customer service so the two stars does not accurately reflect his service. I'm not really sure the job function of the two other women. Even with the growing line, they did not help anyone. Located in downtown roseville, it was kinda small but had an old historic vibe to it. Could benefit from a little remodeling. She preceeded to tell me that when I came in on Saturday, the employee behind the counter that I had the problem with Erika, said that I refused to show ID to get my mail....I really dont understand why this employee had to lie...perhaps she knew I was going to speak to her Supervisor on Monday... I proceeded to tell the woman behind the counter today that is not what happened at all.....and I will talk to Erika's Supervisor who works at the other Post Office located on Sierra Gardens Drive In Roseville...where Erika actually works.. They NEVER Pick up their phones for customers!!! I called through out the day every day, no one ever picks up. WRONG mail delivery, I am always getting my neighbors mails, vice versa with important billing sensitive mail needed. I see the mail man/mail lady come at 8pm!! Unbelievable! I mailed out my bills and about a week later all my mail started coming back with the yellow label Return to Sender undeliverable address unknown. Really? PGE,COMCAST, ATT, Roseville Electric? So I went to the PO and the lady ripped up the labels and threw them out saying it probably wont happen again, yeah well it continues and then I call the Station Manger and he says we can't help you with out the label and you need to come doen here. Oh I just about blew up after telling him I already did and he says oh well. Now I have a package coming two day shipping , well it shows it was out for delivery at 807 am a few days ago but never showed, called them up and they tell me they had some no shows at work and are late but the package will be there by the evening, no show and the website show no updates for days. I visit this location often because it's in a easy location close to home and work. They have a 24-hour kiosk you can you use to ship package and buy stamps. The reason I'm only giving two stars is because about 50% of the mail I receive is for a different PO box and much of my mail gets put in the wrong box as well. I can tell because someone writes "Put in wrong PO Box" on the letters. I have notified staff about this a few times and I have not seen any changes. Mail I sent from this location has gotten lost a few times as well. I don't have poof this post office lost it, it could have gotten lost somewhere else. read more

Let me say that the three guys who work here are great, Jaz, Justin and Patrick all do a great job. This mess is not their fault. Whoever designed this piece of crap obviously has never been to a post office. 2 stations...(can you imagine the holidays?) Regardless of how many people are in line, only 1 station is manned. There is NO MAIL SLOT for larger envelops and you have to wait in line to make sure they get received. When the one postal worker goes in the back to search for something all of this already labeled mail stacked up on the side table is unguarded and ripe for the picking. So you have to wait in line to get a receipt for what you have dropped off. Online sellers will know what I mean. There is one small table for people to rest heavy packages or write labels etc. It is way to small. This post office was not designed for people...it was designed for Post Office boxes which take up most of the space. This poorly designed post office has driven many people (me included) to use Sierra Gardens which is now overloaded with long lines. The only way to fix this mess is a NATIONAL MARCH on the Washington DC postal headquarters. Post office users UNITE. It is our turn to protest something! Afterwards we can all have a nice lunch and go back to work. All in all I'm grateful for the great work of our post office and don't mean to be a complainer. But this was poorly done and someone needs to know. After all our tax dollars were used to create this. read more

I decided to go to this post office since it is closer than the usual one I go to. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, which is understandable since there was one lady working, I had a flat rate medium box. The if it fits it ships one. Considering I've sent 3 previous packages before with a slight bulge I never thought it would be a problem. The lady who had a rude tiresome attitude said since it had a slight bulge they would do it by weight. I informed her that I've sent them previously with no problems.. she continued to tell me that it would be 50 $ to ship! I thought this was outrageous instead of the 16.80 $ so I grabbed my package and drove all the way across town because this woman and her snarky bad attitude and ended getting my package shipped no problem at the one off of Douglas blvd.
