I'm going with ZERO stars! This is perhaps the worst Post Office around. I was there recently at the employee, Teresa, was about as rude as it gets. She has been there for years but boy has she become a bitter woman. Maybe she's pissed because she sees people like me making money selling products and having freedom while she is chained to that counter wearing a blah government uniform? I had about 10 pre-paid Priority Express & Priority packages that I wanted scanned. This typically takes one minute, literally one minute! She grabs them and throws them on the bin behind her and says I'm not scanning them. I'm standing there dumbfounded and ask, why not? Again she blurts out, "I'm not scanning anything" and just stares at me. WTF? if this were a REAL business and not a government entity that soaks the American public this wouldn't happen. I guess you have the kind of job security that allows you to act this way with customers. Strangely, I also use the Chino Hills post office because it's close to work. Guess what, they scan everything for me with a friggin smile. Since I'm here I have 2 other issues. First, what's with the lame lobby ambassador person in the vest? They are worthless. Put them behind the counter servicing customers with actual transactions. Second, are you guys on Def Con level 5 lock down? Why do you need 10 video cameras pointing at your customers. A bank doesn't even have that many cameras. read more

Got a letter from USPS about my claim to take information to the post office OR mail it in... I decided to take it to my local post office that I have been blessed with.... Carlotta is a freaking IDIOT. I think she's the manager. She's got a terrible attitude and only wants to sit on her butt all day. She hates people and refused to take my information and had the gall to tell me I won't get my claim approved because I'm the receiver of the package. Apparently she's not familiar with the policies of the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE because I already filed the claim. She's an idiot and I feel terrible for anyone that has to deal with her. Go out of your way and find a better post office. They must exist. Or.... You can go the route I'm going... UPS. I'd give 0 stars for how horrible she is but that's not possible. read more

Josie is horrible at costumer service and should not be working out front. I've been there when she opened and when she's working the line in the middle of the day. She always seems flustered, bothered by the customers and just not interested. It's never a "hi, how are you..... give me a second... etc". It's "I'm too busy, wait". I honestly don't remember this post office being THIS BAD before. The last two times I went there the customer service was JUST HORRIBLE! the manager, I believe her name is CAROLETA should not be working there. She seems to HATE THE WORLD! The first time I went in to get some international customs mailers. I asked her for a few and she gave me the look like she had no idea what I was talking about. (And you're the MANAGER at this place???) After showing her how it looked like on my phone, she got 2 for me and almost threw it in my face like it's all my fault for bothering her.... This time I went in to get some priority mailers. She (Caroleta) stopped me and told me I could only take a few. I told her I run a business and we ship out a lot in a day. She said for me to order them online. THE REASON I CAME IN IS BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TIME TO WAIT A FULL WEEK FOR THEM TO ARRIVE IN THE MAIL. Scheduled an appointment for a Passport for 10am and they were prompt in opening for me. It was kind of confusing to find, but I eventually did find it around the back. The website USPS.com states that the hours are from 9 to 2, but it actually is only open from 10-12 for passport services. ---------- It turned out that they do not accept credit cards. So i had to go home and get my check book. The girl that was helping me told me to go home get my check book and head back. So I did. When i returned, she was on her break. She said that she would still help me during her break. She did, and I was on my way. Great customer service to her! Overall good experience.... We'll see how long it takes to get in the mail, though. read more

This post office is suck because they always loose our mails and it's seem like almost everyday. My family's complain to the supervisor to let them know that who ever bring our mails it's not in the right address always in the wrong address going to our neighbor house. It's been four time that we complain and they never fix the problems. They ignore our problems. One of the Spanish lady who work in the post office is very rude and mean. She shouldn't work in the front desk at all and she never smile to the customers. This Post Office is closer to my house and I don't have any choice. read more

Went there today for passport service and it was awesome!! The staff here are very nice. Christine was helping me with the application, she was super friendly and efficient, she went through everything carefully to make sure nothing is missing. It took me less than 10 mins for the entire process. Super pleased! read more

I like the office, but when it comes down to getting mail delivered to your home on a proper time it won't happen, you call the office and no one answers, i have made many companies about mail always coming around 6-7 which it's not right to people who waiting checks or anything important coming in. Mail carriers keep getting changed. No one ever get back to me after leaving voicemails and going in there and asking what's going on why are we getting our mail so late. read more

I come here at least once a month or so when I need to purchase stamps or mail packages or letters for work. There's usually a bit of a wait but its never more than 5-10 minutes. My only complaint would be that, that I sometimes need to stand in a short line. The staff and workers are pretty friendly but I do wish there would be more people working behind the counter, especially when the line is long..... The self-service kiosk is almost always available and not in use, so sometimes I opt to go through that rather than wait in the line. read more

Jonathon in the front and the lady who was there with him have to me the most rude, disrespectful, aggressive, individuals I have ever had to deal with at a public business. He wanted to literally fight me. I will complain about them every day if I have to until someone helps me get these two out the front desk. They feel like since they have seniority they can treat people the way they treated me. Anyone there on 8/26/21 at around 2:40 Pm can testify to it.The two workers in the front verbally attacked me, and threatened me. The man Jonathon was about to physically attack me until other witnesses calmed him down. I feel threatened by the fact that they have access to my home address and can come harass or attack me here. Jonathon also threatened the well being of my package as if he was going to do something to it. I really hope they fire or move these employees to another role in their facility because they have no business in the front. They are the face of the Post office in La Mirada and they are giving it a bad name. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Worst US postal office I have ever dealt with! I started a new subscription with a magazine, and initially received three copies of the magazine, but then I stopped receiving them in the mail. I spoke with the magazine publisher and they verified that my magazines were in fact being sent. I then went to the post office to ask about my magazines, and was told to write my name and address on a piece of paper and she will give it to "Scott, and he will contact me". So I left my name, address, email, phone number, and the magazine name in question. It has been over three months and I have not heard anything!! Not even a simple email or call informing me that they are looking into the matter. This post office does not care about its customers. You are better off getting a PO Box in another office if you care about receiving your mail read more

Been trying to get ahold of them for 1-1/2 weeks, phone just rings and rings. I went in to see why they don't deliver to my address and they said the address doesn't show up in their system , UPS & FEDX have had no problems delivering. I let them know that's it's a valid address and they say they will send someone out to verify, well that was 3 weeks ago and still not receiving mail. I can't wait for the postal service to be dissolved, worthless government employees. They should go into politics. read more

ZERO STARS GIVEN! Went in to get a change of address form. A man ahead of me was delivering a package regular mail. There was some lady in a ponytail, glasses, with mole on her cheek asking this poor man twenty questions in a rude tone. She kept asking him how he wanted to send the package and he said "regular mail". The man got annoyed because the lady kept asking him pointless questions and treated him like dirt. When the man asked if he could send the package now, the lady got in his face, pointed at his chest and yelled, "YOU DON'T ASK THE QUESTIONS. I DO! YOU SEE THAT WINDOW? YOU DON'T GO TO THE WINDOW UNLESS I TELL YOU YOU CAN!" To make things worse, the other two employees at the windows began to LAUGH. This poor man! Don't come here. Use UPS or Fed-Ex. I was missing a package and expected it to be a nightmare, but the staff were friendly, patient and helpful, listening to all my concerns and answering calmly and professionally. I don't know the lady's name but I believe she's the manager, she's African American, and ALL I asked for was a receipt for my package I was dropping off to them because somehow they have lost 5 of my packages I've sent out !!!! Anyways, she looked at me like I was stupid and said "we don't give receipts" ??? Hmm? Every other post office I have gone to and asked for one they have given me one with no problem! I swear these workers hate their damn lives ! I make money off of these package I sent out, and 5 of them have been lost! They haven't even been scanned! This is pretty much the only post office I've ever been inside of where I've had to deal with postal associates 1. because it's my local post office and 2. because I don't usually have too many issues with my mail. When I have had issues with my mail and have had to go in to this location, it is dreadful. It's hit or miss whether the associates are going to be in a good mood and helpful or in a bad mood and dragging; thus, I equate my visits to my local post office with having to visit the DMV. Horrid or a quick in and out. Usually, I can overlook the lack of customer service because I don't really care for small talk and by the time I get to the counter, I just want to get out of there anyways. But I was just in there last week and I'll have to go back and get her name, but she's an older Caucasian lady with glasses and has been there forever. I asked her a question and she was responded in a very condescending tone. We had an exchange of words because I got upset and pretty much asked what her deal was and sorry, but I thought it was her job to help customers. She got upset, threw her hands up and said she just couldn't deal and walked to the back of the post office. The clerk next to her apologized and said that she had just had two other customers come in here and yell at her. I told her that was not an excuse to take it out on the next customer. She agreed and helped me send off my stuff. I asked to speak with the supervisor or manager and Krystyle Plair came out. I told her what happened, but it sounds like she already spoke to the clerk that walked to the back. Ms. Plair just kept saying, "it sounds like she had a bad day" and "I'm sorry, but you shouldn't let this ruin your day." I get that. But I have was having a perfectly fine day until I got attitude from your associate for no reason. No matter what I said, all Ms. Plait kept saying is "you shouldn't let it bother you, she's having a bad day," etc. If you deal with the public all day and you can't control your emotions, YOU SHOULDN'T WORK WITH THE PUBLIC. That's the problem with places like the post office and the DMV. You put people or keep people in these positions that hate their job for whatever reason and take it out on the customers they deal with. I was not happy with the explanation of what was going to happen when I left so I asked where I could file a complaint online and was told to go to the USPS website. I filed a complaint and where did it go? Funny you should ask. It went straight to Krystyle Plair. How convenient. So here's my dilemma now, how should I be when I have to interact with this postal worker again? Well, if it's okay for well-paid postal employees to take out their frustrations on customers, then the same must apply to customers; right? I personally went in to drop off my item instead of drop box because I wanted a recepit with a provided tracking number! But they were no, we don't provide a receipts for prepaid mailing items. I'm like okay. And they just told me to drop it off, but I asked seriously no tracking number receipts? And they told me to take a picture of the package with my phone. One of the worst customer service places I've ever been to. I get there stand in line for them to tell me rudely to wait in the back for passport services. I say OK not a problem expecting to get help shortly. I end up standing there for a solid 40-50 minutes waiting patiently as I'm hearing the employees bickering and arguing at each other in front of all the customers. Then the employees constantly looking irritated and giving attitude to the customers even rolling their eyes and giving facial expressions that were very immature and unprofessional. Absolutely horrible customer service. After waiting for so long I remind the employee that I've been waiting and asked if there is anyone else who can help me out. She said no that's the way we do things here so you're going to have to wait or come back later. Aside from it being a ridiculous system as I'd have to wait for no other customers as they are constantly lining up was horrible. The employees were very rude and unprofessional and not just to me but to what seemed like every customer that walked through the door. Finally we seen a manager come out from the back and quickly approached her and explained how we've been waiting to get help for our passport. Well it turned out I needed a certain document that I didn't have at the time. Waited all that time when the first rude lady could've easily saved me all that time to get that answer but no had to stand there all that time to witness all the unprofessionalism and childish behavior go on. Very dissapointing experience here and will try and avoid coming here again to save me the hassle read more

I don't think this is a specific complaint with just the La Mirada office or the entire USPS- either way, here it goes. I moved from the La Mirada area on Jan 25th and submitted my change of address a week and a half in advance. Here I am on Feb. 21st without any of my mail. I called to speak with someone about it and was told someone would be contacting me within 2 days. I got the call from someone in the La Mirada office and was basically told to keep "waiting". I find it very frustrating that there is not a better system. I have change my address with all of the business' I expect to recieve mail from but am still left without the mail that was in transit at the time of my move. You would think there would be a better system. May have been better off not submitting the request at all. I also believe there should be a better way to help than "hold tight-it's coming!" read more

Five stars for the cashiers. Very fast, friendly, and helpful. Probably 1.5 star for the people with the clipboard at the line trying to move the line efficiently. Sometimes they give you wrong forms to fill out, wasting more time as a result. No apology of course. Sometimes it's just a straight up pokerface with a robot voice "what do you need." I mean this is not a private entity but I think they can/should do better job than this. USPS has competitors too; FeDEX, UPS, OnTrac, local mail centers and etc. Also, be aware when you drop your mail at the drive-up mailbox. It literally gets full and spills over on Sunday. I don't use the drive-up mailbox on weekends anymore. At the end, three stars saved by the cashiers. read more
