THIS post office is THE BEST with so many wonderful people working here! I frequent this post office and always greeted with a warm welcome by most if not all! Shout out to Neisha, Sally, Joe, Hazell, Rudy, Chad, also to Kimberly their supervisor who helped me couple times! You are all so amazing, I am always happy everytime I visit because of your energy! The staff are all fast and efficient, they are all very friendly and make warm conversations, they also take the time to double check your packages and always give informative answers to your questions! We also did our passports in this location and they were very quick and made the process smooth and easy! They were so patient with our children as well! My kids love them! This is the "last resort" location, open until 5p on a Saturday. You will be waiting for a good bit, but the staff is friendly and you'll accomplish your task. I came here to return a SHEIN item. They were the only location still open on a Saturday afternoon. Needless to say, the parking lot of super full and customers were parking in the staff parking beyond the metal fence. I just waited for people to leave to get a spot. The line inside was also very long but it is what it is. When you don't have any other post office open, it is expected for everyone to come here. I got Mikaal (male) as my representative. It was my first time doing a return for SHEIN and he was able to teach me how to do the QR thing and even helped me pack my item. He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. You just need to give the local post office some grace and just be happy that this local post office is available to serve you when you arrive or still continuing on delivering the mail to your house. This post office as you can tell from the moment you walk in has received like very little funding to continue the maintenance of the building. Just be happy the usps employees show up and come to work. People like us come to the post office because it's the most affordable way to mail compared to FedEx and UPS. My oldest sister and I came here to take care of a complicated change of address. My sis found out that she needed to bring a legal document, so we came back the next day after finding out that this USPS location was the only one closest to my dad's house that was open on Saturdays. Parking spaces in the small parking lot were easy to find both times we came here, but I remember when I used to live in Buena Park well over a decade ago, and the parking lot would get full during peak times. Customers may be able to find street parking right in front of this post office. I should've noted his name, but there is a very helpful US post office worker that was at the front desk both times we came here, and he was so knowledgeable! ** This review is for the passport service** The woman who is in charge of processing the passports has zero personality. She greets everyone with a sh*t look and attitude. I get it.. it's the post office and I am not expecting stellar service.. but what I do expect is some sort of customer service. Afterall, that is the profession she chose. She also stated her camera does not work and sent us to the UPS store around the corner. From reading other reviews, makes me think she is getting a "kickback" to send people over there. This is the worst post office experience that I have ever had. Warning do not attempt to book an appointment for passports here. We came to get my infant a passport and waited over 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment because they let other people in line ahead of us...which completely defeats the point of an appointment. They claimed that they took passport photos online which they do not. They send everyone to some creepy mailing store next door which seems like a total scammy partnership. Again do not come here if you're looking for passports. There is zero process or competence by their employees. This post office should be shut down. read more

Kimberly was very helpful! She addressed my concern that I had for a mail hold. It had went through with no issue. The phone assistant told me to come pick up mail but I requested delivery. I'm glad I didn't have to drive over there, my mail delivery came as expected! Don't listen to the automated person that says to pick up if you chose deliver hold mail. I love this location for different reasons. After working in the area for years it's between work and home. AKA on the route anyway and the people that work there are always so nice. The place is always clean and they have plenty of P.O. Box there. A large indoor box drop. As of late it's the easiest way to drop mail in the outside box with a last pickup of 5:30 but still gets it post marked for that day. So for someone like me that likes being lat at getting paperwork in the mail it definitely helps. All my stuff is electronic but as having to mail out hard paperwork it's nice to get a post mark on time. The only problem is the parking but just stop on the curb and be fast about it. And if anyone says something about it just tell them red means stop. read more

I came in to mail 11 Christmas cards, almost half of which were international post. All of the envelopes already had the stamp for extra ounce/non-machinable mail, but the clerk charged me the overseas rate anyway ($1.30 each). Knowing that I was sending holiday greeting cards, she also gave me first class stamps labeled "Happy Birthday". I guess she meant happy birthday to Jesus. They do not accept $100 bills. read more

I received my Christmas box from my daughter on Jan 5, 2023 and it was delivered "pilfered" , box was "cut open" and items were stolen by either the mail carrier or a postal employee at the BUENA PARK POST OFFICE!!!!! The mail carrier left box in mailbox locker!! I filed a " complaint "via" ONLINE Jan 6, 2023 and I'm still getting the run around from the POSTAL INSPECTION DEPARTMENT!! Customer service department is USELESS because they don't have anything to do with the Postal Inspection department!! It's Impossible to get a " live person" in the Postal Inspection Department and I'm fed up with telling my story ( 5 different people) by calling customer service, being transferred supposedly to Postal Inspection Department, no one answers phone, you leave a message and don't get a return call!!! I'm very upset for how my situation was handled and the lack of communication from the post office!!! It's really sad that you can't trust the post office to deliver your packages and mail " intact" the way it was sent!!!!! Lately when visiting at this location, I see only one employee behind the counter accompanied with a long line of people (usually around 20 people with more than one parcel). It's very concerning to see her manage a high workload alone. Over the last couple of visits, other people in line asked questions about her other coworkers' whereabouts and why management is allowing her to handle 3-4 people's worth of work by herself. It was disheartening to see her manage such heavy workload without adequate support from management and her coworkers. I sincerely hope this issue is addressed soon as your employee deserves consideration, respectful working conditions, and support. read more

Wow talk about customer service. The lady at the counter has no personable skills whatsoever. To be a front desk representative you should hire someone who is welcoming and more than willing to help. Not someone who is rude and impatient. I had to witness her talk down to an Asian woman because she was not understand what she was asking. Instead of being rude, be patient and talk with kindness. I am basing my review off my second visit today. There was no line in the afternoon. They had about four workers at the desk. Each worker were very kind, accommodating, friendly and helpful. I can overhear the conversations from each window and all provided great service with a smile. I personally had Niesha and she was very sweet, positive attitude and helped me place stamps on my box. In hindsight, I wish I had read your reviews. They suck for passports. She yelled at me across the counter if I had an appointment and asked what my name was in front of everyone. The email said to get there 10 minutes early, did that. She was not enthusiastic because by the time my appointment comes up, she's still taking her sweet time with her last one. I could understand why this USPS has only 2 stars, they are not known for their friendliness for helping. All I ask was to get a sleeve to put attaa label in since I just packaged a return and printed a return label. I didn't have packing tape in hand, thought a sleeve would be easier. The guy with dreadlocks that work behind the counter was rude, said the sleeve is for international shipment and threw a packing tape to side. I taped the return label nicely on the box and thank you to the guy. He didn't even acknowledge...People, just be nice to each other, a little kindness will make the world a better place. read more

Updated review So I mailed a letter to myself from Anaheim to my P.O. Box in Buena Park. It's one mile away. I mailed it on Friday 6/17. Today is Thursday 6/23 and I still haven't received it. I got the email saying it is in my P.O. Box. Still no letter. Even funnier, I got a call from the post office after sending a complaint online. The very young sounding girl, and not the brightest bulb I might add. She stated that some times it takes longer to get a letter because they are under staffed. I could walk the letter there faster, even crawl. Be warned about this place. There is a very RUDE guy, VERY RUDE with NO customer service regard at all at the counter helping people, or being a jerk to them really. I have seen other people complain to him and he laughs at them. What a D*CK. Sorry, I had to go there. You will know him when you deal with him. The tracking information said it was last scanned at the Juarez Mexican international airport, it's been 30 days and no updates, so my package is lost, I can't get in contact to USPS via phone or email, I will go down to there office one more time to see if they can help me! read more

I'm only giving a 5 star because of the service I had today. Hazzell, is a sweet lady. My husband & I came in today to mail my renewal passport. She saw us looking for the right envelope ( complete confused to which one to choose) she was so kind enough to assist us, and she even doubled check the application I filled out, making sure that everything is good before sending it. Never come here on a Saturday unless you live within walking distance. The parking lot has space for more or less ~10 cars and going in and out is a disaster waiting to happen because no one around here knows how to drive. This post office is old, tiny, and located on a busy street. I won't ever return. I dropped by to find out about getting a passport because no one answers the phone. This is by far the absolute worst postal service that I have ever encountered. They epitomize the stereotype of lazy and inefficient postal service. I had ordered a package from Newegg a d received notification that it was delivered and left in my mailbox. Turns out it was never delivered and had to file a dispute with the seller to get my money back as the office never responded to a claim. More recently, one of our supplier sent some samples to me that was never delivered. I requested a redelivery and it was never delivered. After spending an hour on the phone with USPS it was discovered that the package was in this office and redelivery was never attempted. I tried reaching this location to make sure the package is still there but after calling more than 14 times no one picked up. Actually that's not true, someone did pick up and immediately hung up. I'm hoping that's some automated thing. Worst postal service that I've personally experienced. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CARE FOR CUSTOMERS! today around 4:30 i went in with the intention to simply ship out a package, little did i know that i would have to deal with employee "JAMAR" as i was waiting in line i could tell that this washed up musk rat was having a very bad day, he was in no way hiding this at all , the first couple of customers , a couple of oriental ladies (who were very confused and whos english was a bit rough) were given ZERO help from this man, his tone and body language toward them was very rude . During my time attempting to ship the package JAMAR was not being helpful at all, he was tapping his finger and rolling his eyes as i could not understand some of the questions he was asking me , i was having a problem with the address i was shipping to and i could tell it was driving this guy insane!! When i realized this man was going to be such a useless asshole to me i grabbed my package and told him he needed to check his attitude , I DIdnt END UP SHIPPING THE PACKAGE , this man was on the verge of feeling my wrath , HOPE YOU SEE THIS JAMAR GFYS! read more

Very unhelpful location. I received a failure to deliver notice on a package when I was out of town with very little information as to who it was sent by (just said 'China'). When I went to this location I was told it had been returned to sender as it was there beyond their 14 day retention period. I was told with a shrug it was gone, back to 'China' as listed on the slip. No other information like what distribution center/actual address it was returned to nor what delivery service USPS initially received it from or transferred it to. I don't know if it's because USPS doesn't record any of that information or if the employee just didn't want to look for it, but it was very disappointing. read more
