This was my first time here, I pass it up frequently because I was unaware it was inside of the store it's in. It's very easy very convenient. The cashier was very pleasant and helpful. I went into buy some sunflower stamps (which have been sold out everywhere might I add) & ship June letters fo my mail club. Quick easy & convenient, Definitely recommend. read more

Chi needs to be FIRED from the post office! Every time me and my wife come in to drop off packages Chi makes a dirty look to us and the last time I tried to drop off packages Chi REFUSED to scan the items because she already had "a lot on her plate". I asked if it was okay if I just come tomorrow and Chi said "I don't know". This lady clearly hates her job and refuses to do her job. If you are going to drop off multiple packages I would suggest every other post office besides this one! They will refuse to take your packages or Chi will give you a dirty look for having multiple packages every time! read more

US Post Office - Address - Post Offices Near Me - Lakewood, California

Always run here for my postage since they are open late. Quick in and out are service is also very good

This place is a hidden gem! I've had consistently great experiences at US Post Office on South Street in Lakewood, CA. From the moment you pull into the generous parking area to the time you walk out with your mail or package taken care of, everything feels smooth and well-organized. The staff here are truly the highlights -- polite, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile. They make mailing packages, buying stamps, or arranging shipments a stress-free part of your day. Lines move quickly, and I've always felt like my questions and requests were handled with genuine care and attention. Reviews from other locals echo this sentiment, noting how easy and pleasant the service can be, with employees who go the extra mile to make sure you leave happy read more

Came really early and the staff are great and super nice to interact. The mail letter I want to ship out was really quick to process

It's always a joy coming here. Chi and the other staff are all so sweet and friendly-- it feels like they genuinely have your best intention at heart. Their consistent effort to chat and get to know regulars, and their readiness to offer real, honest shipping advice is a rare gem. It's the reason I come here for almost every shipment, despite it being a couple of minutes farther from my house than other post offices. read more

I was the first in line. Ample parking behind the building and street parking in the front. It's inside the store, which confused me at first. read more

In a pinch at the end of the day I went to this post office to send a package. It was easy to find, easy to park and the inside was clean. Great service also. read more

Very friendly and convenient location for me. The service is top tier, and they are my go to spot when I get out of work later than expected and got to ship something out! read more

Just recently started coming here to drop off packages to ship out, as other USPS drop off points are a little farther from my home. I love how easy and hassle-free the staff makes the process. The staff is kind and patient, and luckily they have parking in the rear as well as out front. It makes shipping out packages quick and simple, will definitely keep coming here as my preferred USPS drop off point! read more

Love this location! The staff was welcoming, friendly, & helped me with mailing exactly what I needed plus more. Thank you!

It was my first time shipping items out! The lady who was working at the time was tending to all of the services that they had but still made the effort to make sure my experience was smooth sailing. On average you would be spending $20 at to ship items at a normal USPS but I only paid $1.50 for them to print out a shipping label for me. The lady also let me use their recycled boxes since it was the best option for me (also free!!) and helped me tape up my box to ship! This USPS definitely deserves 5 stars :) read more

Great service, extremely patient. My family will definitely be visiting for future notary and domestic mailing needs.

The USPS continues to amaze me with the vastness of their service...just get an envelope, write an address and stick it out on a postal box in front of your home and....voila! It gets to anywhere in the United States! Keep up the amazing work. Great service. read more

Lovely shop, lovely customer service. Quick and easy !! Was out faster than you can say Licketty Split !

Giving 5 stars for many reasons! Needed to Mail an important document that has been a hassle with other usps branches. Unfortunately, by the time I get off work all usps are already closed except for this gem of a place I found on yelp! It was my first time here and everyone that worked here was so great and welcoming. They were very attentive and helpful! I was directed to Chie and she is the best! She helped me and even went the extra mile to do so! Though this is a bit far from where I live, the great service and no lines makes it worth it. Will definitely be coming back. read more

Wanted to gatekeep this place but there's No line & no stress and Chie was super helpful! Definitely the spot to handle any of your post office needs! read more

Why wait in the line down the street at the USPS on Clark Avenue when you could just walk up to this post office and get all your post office needs done right away. There's never a line plus they're always open later than the other post office's. I was able to drop off my package on a Saturday afternoon when the post office on Clark Avenue in Lakewood is already closed for the day. The people in the store are so nice - one time they were closing around 9 PM, I came right at that time to drop off a package. The post office within the store was already closed, but they allowed me to come in and did the scanning process on my prepaid shipping label anyway. Love coming to this location because there's always street parking and open space where you can park easily, walk in, and drop off your packages! read more

Doesn't do international even though it's a USPS location. Laziness on the employee. All locations do USPS even substations so why even lie to customers read more

Always a pleasure coming here. If you need boxes to pack your items they will help. Thank you team. read more

Bad service they were rude. When I was at the from desk and no one was there to assist me. It took about 5 minutes for someone to appear with a rude attitude like if she was making me a favor. Very idiotic approach. read more

You know how going to the post office usually sucks? Understaffed, overworked, long lines, no sense of urgency, no customer service?? Well, this is the exact opposite of all of that... parking is super easy, no lines (at most there has only ever been one other customer), super helpful and friendly staff who check best pricing/shipping options for you... it's just a better experience, top to bottom. Highly recommended! read more

Used this office for notary services. Reasonable price and prompt service by appointment

Chi was an absolute sweetheart. I rarely go to the post office, but when I do, it's an absolute drag. BUT THIS PLACE IS DIFFERENT. Like I said, Chi was so helpful and even recommended a different post office if I did not want to pay the $1.50 fee for printing labels. NO LINES | LOTS OF PARKING | LOVELY STAFF Can't beat that. read more

If you're looking for an alternative to the Lakewood Post Office this is the place. Never a line, great service. This place is prefect if you sell items online and need a trustworthy place to drop off a package. Plus they carry supplies like priority boxes and shipping labels. Couldn't recommend it more. read more

I needed to send out my wedding invitations today they didn't have a line at all, the usps employee inside was cheerful and helpful. She kept good conversation and helped me out so much. We weighted my letter for me to make sure I had the correct amount of stamps. I did need to add one more stamp to each letter and she gave me really cute options. She even told me where I can get everything ready so she can still assist other customers. I could tell this was a place that always gets regular customers, they knew a lot of them by name. They are not just a post office they are also a pharmacy, they had a lot of supplies. They also sell compression socks and accessibility tools. The best part was the usps employee told me to come back, and guess what I will. I've let all my family and friends who live in the surrounding areas to come here. Especially since I had a bad transition with a usps employee at the Long Beach usps earlier that day. read more

This Post office service is inside John's Pharmacy in Lakewood, Ca. It's listed as John's Shoprite Pharmacy on Yelp. I may need to actually walk into a post office 2 to 5 times a year. As most people work during the week finding a Post Office that is open on Saturdays during Covid, I checked Yelp and found this spot. Thankful that I found it I drove on down. The line was short. They were pleasant and helpful in the postal department as well as the store side. I will definitely return for the postal services and I did notice several medical supplies/equipment that I am keeping in mind for those that may need assistance for the aging. read more

This is a HIDEN GEM! I'm almost reluctant to post about it and "give it away!" This building has been around for decades. I recall it being a magnificent, large, "high-end" Florist, as a child. It was the florist of many childhood wedding dreams, I'm sure. Now, it houses a Pharmacy. They have a great inventory of electric chairs, canes, and other mobility related items. BUT, here it comes, hidden back in the corner, near the Foot care products is a MAIL COUNTER- not just a mail center but a US Post office. With supplies of packaging materials including Priory Mail boxes & envelopes. I dread going to the post office in my area - it's in a sketchy area. Now that I've found this place, not too far away, I'm delighted! Going to the Post Office can be a real gamble of time, parking never seems simple, and service can be "temperamental" (in my opinion). No more of that! We've been here 3 times and each time it's in and out! Even when there was one person ahead of me it was still fast and efficient. Everyone who has helped us has be extremely nice & competent. read more
