As soon as I was organized enough, I drove over and parked in the paid parking lot behind the building since the metered street parking was full. Cozy place that has it all... Almost all if they had the self serve kiosk I'd be a regular at this Kaimuki location where it's almost hidden amongst the many biz it's surrounded by which is very easy to miss but with the OG blue mailbox that's placed right outside it does give the nostalgia of the days we mailed our seasonal items. With that I did need to send a box to a friend and needed a box which of course they have besides the generic I love the priority mail box packaging with the flat rate makes it easy to put whatever you need which was there for me along with the prices of what each box are. Right beside that they do have a area where you're able to pack/write or do whatever you need all nice and clean where I noticed a buck of flowers and noticed that they were pens...lol! regular ballpoint and sharpies as well that was a lovely touch to have but there was one thing that I did forget...tape...sigh! There was no line at all and I could've shipped my items but one little major bump in plans that made me frustrated but know that I have a convenient spot outside of the busy locations is here and love that it's a local residential spot. This post office is pretty old but useful & convenient. I would park at a meter - drop mail at the post office - then go shopping or pick up a sprout sandwich. The workers are business like and courteous. Never had a problem. read more

Wife and I went to drop off a package to mail that had to be weighed and postage calculated. Got there a little before they opened and tho there was a short line, it move fairly quickly. Social distancing measures were put in place, six feet and max of two in the lobby. Postal worker was efficient and fairly friendly given the situation. We don't come here very often even tho it's our local post office. Parking is usually not easy and the hours not conducive to when we usually go. read more

The folks at the Kaimuki USPS are gold and show you how USPS is supposed to work. Had to mail off a bunch of omiyage and dropped in on a busy Sat AM. They had an employee out front, dedicated to: -helping people feel welcomed -sorting the line, prepping folks for the counter (you get a slip of paper with your intended transactions marked down, so it cuts down on time/customer at the window) -herding the front of the queue forward (and consequently, folks in the back out of the sun. A million mahalos!) -living aloha. The folks at the counter are swift, friendly, and pros. No problems. read more

This USPS location is great because when I pick up lunch in Kaimuki, I can drop off my flat rate boxes or buy stamps. They operate out of a tiny space but it still works. On the right side, there is a counter and you can drop off your prepaid flat rate shipping boxes. Don't drop them there if it doesn't have a label! I've been lucky the last few times since I got a metered parking space on Koko Head Ave right in front and I didn't have to carry my boxes too far. If I see a long line coming out of the door and there's no street parking, I will go to the Pahoa Ave location instead. During the pandemic, there has only been 1 person working at the counter. I don't recommend coming here during the holidays (Christmas). It's super busy and people are mailing too many packages that do not have prepaid labels. It holds up the line and you're stuck standing out in the hot Kaimuki sun and refilling your parking meter. read more

She is the sweetest most patient person I've ever came across at any Post office. She treats everyone equally as if it's their first time shipping/mailing anything. I grew up in Palolo and am very aware of this neighborhood post office. Service is always quick, friendly, and efficient. Lots of parking and I am glad that it is still around. Due to COVID19, hours have changed. Highly recommend if you want a good post office with friendly staff. read more

Not one of my favorite US Post Office locations. Parking can be tough to find, and this office is SMALL. Not a lot of counter space for packing your boxes or filling out paperwork, and not a lot of standing room at all. When I came here at 11:30 during the holiday rush season, there was only one clerk working the counter, and one guy standing behind her, whose only job was to take the parcels from the clerk and place them in the bin. Not very efficient, but then again, this is the government we're talking about. The clerk was very friendly, but there are better post offices to go to. read more

This review is about customer service. This little post office used to be the best kept secret during the holiday season. Thinking the holiday rush was over, I headed there with my three heavy boxes and invites. What a line! But not wanting to drive to Kahala, I got in line. The was only one worker, Faye. About 15 minutes later, with no movement on the line, Faye informed everyone her computer wasn't working. A few people got out of line. When it was finally my turn, I was greeted by a friendly, soft spoken Faye. Not once during the 45 minutes I was there, did I see Faye get frazzled or raise her voice. Faye, thank you for your kind, friendly service. It can't be easy working by yourself and moving boxes as big as you. I hope you have a wonderful day because you sure lightened up my day! read more

Easy in and out post office on Koko Head Avenue, just before Harding Avenue driving makai. It's really tiny, so if it's full, you're in for a wait. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is either in front of the post office, or behind in the metered parking lot. Convenient if you can't get all the way to Kahala Mall! read more

AVOID this USPS location. Parking is always difficult to come by & of course, you need to feed the meter. You think "I'll just throw in a dime...it should be quick" but no. Save yourself the headache & just throw in a quarter (which, btw, buys you 20mins). This shop is tiny & always seems to have a line of at least 3 people when you walk in. You wonder why & realize there is only ONE person working the counter. I also seem to have the worst luck & always seem to get stuck behind other customers who doesn't know how to pack a box or how USPS works. In 6yrs of living in Kaimuki & using this location, I think I've only ever seen more than one uniform behind the counter twice. Kahala has their own parking lot & is much larger but unfortunately that just makes more people go there. However, they always seem to have 2-3 agents working the counter to keep the line moving. All the workers I've ever encountered at Kaimuki are very nice & thankfully, once I'm actually at the counter, I'm outta there in under 5mins. read more

Total of 14 people in line at 2pm and only 1 person working the counter? This makes no sense. If it takes an average of 3 minutes per customer, it means the last person in line needs to wait roughly 40-45 minutes. Time is the most valuable thing anyone will ever own and it's being wasted due to USPS trying to cut corners and not put enough people to handle the crowd that comes through here... Would be 1 star but can't blame the person working the counter as she's a one woman band but very disappointed in USPS lack of employee scheduling here. read more
