Lompico West Drive. Wont even pick up mail my outgoing letters with a flag out! I've put 3 letters / bills out to be mailed, with postage stamps and the flag is up for several days. First day, he drove right on by and shoved my flag down. So today, I made sure flag is up again. He drove up, shoved my outgoing bills with postage stamps on them to the back and shoved 2 small evelopes in!!!!! Umm, excuse me! USPS you cannot deny you saw those envelopes I'm trying to mail out. What do you think the Red Flad is for???? I had them standing up right toward the front with the flag on. Again, my flag was lowered but he refused to pick up my outgoing letters!!! I cannot leave the house everyday and was hoping USPS could do their job today. My Bad, they cannot!!! I get a phenomenal amount of mis-deliveries year round. Now, a letter has been mis-delivered here three times; the letter is pushed to the back of the mailbox and the flag is left in the up position. One of the clerks in the office has a serious attitude problem. read more

Elliot is a belligerent emotes, ignored the cashier when he tried to get him to interrupting the transaction and argued with me about his bullshitting and yes I said bullshitting. Elliott is a horrible, rude and SHOULD BE FIRED as a mailman for constantly complaining about literally anything and everything and causing dramatical scenes for my neighbors and tenant. Do your job and deliver our mail! He never informed my tenants that he decided he would no longer deliver mail due to him not liking how my mailbox looked, even though it was exactly where it was required to be and the best I could do at the time. He is constantly harassing me and my tenants and I wish there was a higher superior that could fire him for his horrible work ethics. He came up today making a scene and clapped being extremely rude to my tenants because I could finally afford fixing my mailbox to look more accordingly to Elliots liking and he ALREADY hates it, and pink slipped me for it being too high and too low. Hands down one of the worst post offices around. They have lost yet another package at this location. The item tracks all the way to their site, and is never seen or heard from again. One look inside this facility and the organization of this place is a mess! I have been in 3 times to try and pick up a package they claimed was requested to be held by customer request (which was never requested. UPDATE: well they strike again. I guess they feel they just want to not deliver some packages and change the status to pick up at location. I am out of town every day from 6am-7pm and cannot make it to their location. Mailman often leaves random and ridiculous reasons for not delivering packages. They just won't make an effort. Story is getting old, same issues Every. Single. Time!! Firstly, the people in the office have always been nice, thats not a part of the problem. The problem is that I will have failed deliveries ALL of the time for years. If its from amazon and they use USPS then there is almost a 100% chance it will not be delivered. It will say "delivery attempted", even at times that I know they mail person never comes by. This newer driver that replaced the previous older gentleman who for most of my life provided excellent service, is genuinely awful. I have come to the post office to pick up my packages and have seen lines out the door, of people who are on the same a route as I who also have to get their own package. Lazy, rude, incompetent mail carriers get paid to do the worst job Imaginable. The person who runs the Felton branch instructs carriers to do whatever they want, including committing fraud by lying about not being able to deliver any large packages and instead make customers pickup any large package because they don't want to do their job, yet we're paid for del by the shipping. Fraud by every legal definition and no cares. The lies are beyond ridiculous: can't deliver due to inclement weather (on a 80 degree day) scanning packages as delivered while still at the post office and then not delivering for days later. Manager admitted to me that they do this when they are behind schedule. They cause so much stress and wasted time for customers having to call shippers and explain they USPS lied again Or walking all over my neighborhood to find my mail. Packages that say they are delivered not being deliver being taken back to the Post Office. Packages delivered to the wrong house on the wrong side of the road, every city in every state in the USA has even house numbers on one side and odd numbers on the other side. Thousands of dollars worth of damage by drivers shoving boxes out of the door at my home or intentionally throwing / dropping them inside the post office. I am just completely LIVID. At this point, I no longer trust packages to arrive, and my neighbors are jerks who do not give my mail back when mis-delivered. I have had countless things not arrive, and when I made a complaint, all the postmaster could say that he talked to the two poeple on this route, and told them to 'double check' the address. Well, I just found out another package did not show up. I have spent HOURS on the phone with the main usps office (as this branch NEVER picks up. NEVER.), and the only contact info he gave me is the Felton branch number. (Which NEVER picks up!!!) I have actually lost money because of these pricks. Avoid them at ALL COSTS. It is despicable how profoundly atrocious their 'service' is. I am honestly so stressed out about this, and they've done nothing effective to help me. A Felton resident who lives a mile away from me, got my package and was kind enough to drive it over to my house. Over and over again, the Felton Post Office does not seem to be able to deliver packages to the correct address, I have about 1 out of every 5 packages get lost, or delivered to the wrong house. I'm so sick and tired of it, having to sort through my mail everyday and deliver to my neighbors their mail that is in my mailbox, as well as they have to do the same. Terrible. Drivers refuse to get out of their trucks to deliver packages or large envelopes. Instead, they leave a form indicating that the package is undeliverable so that you must pick up at the post office. I recommend that you do not use USPS for package or mail delivery. read more

These postal workers are very lazy they will not get out of their vehicles to deliver packages they say that they are undeliverable if it doesn't fit in the mailbox and complain if there's a little bump they hit pulling up to the mailbox and they are the ones that made it. I wish I could give negative stars.. for the past 2 years, the delivery on packages is horrible, it seems they only get my house address 1 out of 5 deliverys, the rest goes to various neighbors, and sometimes I get the package. It is really frustrating especially when I work from home and am dependent on the packages arriving on time. Asking for overnight is a waste of money as often they are 2-4 days late because the package is siting at the post office or in a truck some where our for delivery. They refuse to pick up the phone when you call. I've complained to the main Scotts Valley PO, but this renegade Felton PO delivery does not give a damn. read more

I opened a P.O. Box at the Felton branch in September of 2018. I was assigned #1618 and given keys. At first, I kept getting someone else's mail, with that P.O. Box clearly listed on the envelopes. I kept depositing the incoming mail into the internal drop box with a note that the recipient no longer had the box. Then, my key stopped working, and I couldn't get my mail for days. I was told that there had been a mix up when the box was assigned to me, and that it had already been assigned to someone else. They changed my box number, and gave me six months of free service based on their gaffe. It still took a while for me to start getting my mail regularly, but we got there. Before my box renewed in 2020, I went into the branch (where the hours had been reduced due to COVID) and cancelled my renewal on August 11th. I also put in a forwarding notice with the post office. I had ordered an item the day before I put in the cancellation, but since I had ordered my mail forwarded, I wasn't worried. On October 5th, I was notified that the item I'd ordered had been delivered to the P.O. Box, despite the fact that I'd closed it almost two months prior. I finally was able to take time off from work this morning to go investigate, and it turns out THE P.O. BOX WAS NEVER CLOSED. I was handed a pile of mail and told the box was going to be closed today. I asked about the forwarding order, and was told that since the box had never been closed, they hadn't placed it. The total incompetence of this post office is staggering. Simple things aren't getting done, and the postmaster has determined that having lobby hours from 9am-3pm M-F is the best way to service their postal customers. I understand a branch isn't responsible for the decisions of the postmaster, but pedestrian tasks like managing the opening, closing and assignment of a P.O. Box seem to be a monumental effort. Mr. Sanchez never replied to my email. As an update, they just claimed that they left a very large package in my mailbox. There is no way it would have fit in a mailbox and I have received the same package over and over again on my doorstep via FEDEX. Amazon is sending me a replacement. Another fine service from the USPS! "Dear Mr. Sanchez, I am writing to you because the Felton Post office continues to lose my packages all the time. Today I had two packages that never showed up at my house. The first package sent from Amazon was reported to Amazon and being undeliverable as there was no secure location to leave the package--they reported this to me. I was shocked to learn of this as my house is very secure and we were home all day long. I found the tag (shown below) was left in my mailbox down at the street rather than at the house so I drove down to see the post master. He said that the delivery person would not have been back by now but he would check in the back. Sure enough this large package (roll of packing foam) was left behind as it would not fit in the loaded postal truck. So you see, your delivery person lied about the reason that it could not be delivered. I then received another email notification from Best Buy saying that my electronics item was just left in/or near the mail box. I was surprised to learn of this because I was just down at the mailbox. I went back down there and there were no packages inside or near the mailbox (again, we were home all day). I then went back to the post master and explained the situation again. He said that I should contact you about my continued experiences with your office. They really do not care about you receiving your mail or packages. Read the reviews. Have they made any changes, doesn't look like it. They used to deliver some of my packages. I went in because they chose not to deliver a package and I asked why they do that, in a very nice manner. He said he would talk to the carrier. Now we receive no delivery of packages and at times with days of no mail. We will then receive a bunch of mail all tidily wrapped in a rubber band. Shady. Way to support your community. I can say it has forced me to shop local first before ordering online just to avoid the inconvenience of going to the post office. Guess I can thank them for that at least but still one star. Either the higher ups limit their ability to care or they genuinely do not care. I HATE giving negative reviews. I always chicken out because I don't want to upset anyone. As far as Felton Post Office I really miss the good service we used to have. A few years ago we had a gentleman who happily got out of the truck and brought our packages to the deck. We all loved the way he was kind and even went the extra mile for us. Now we're experiencing weird things. Once I went up to meet the delivery person who handed me a box and said, oh, this was in the back of my truck yesterday but I forgot to give it to you. ???? We also have wrong accounts of where packages are left. Today's was handed off directly. Um, we were here in the house and even had the door open, but our mail was left on or upper steps. That has happened many times. We get the "left at front door" or "left on a porch" but it's not true. Do I like the people there at Felton Post Office? Yes, I do. They've all been kind at every encounter. I don't mind waiting in line at all. Do I get good service? Um, I think most of them do try. But mail and packages are pretty darn important, and they are not being handled right. I know they have a shoestring staff and I give them kudos for functioning at all. But, oops, forgetting to give you a package that's in the truck, or continually saying that packages have been left at a certain location, when they are not, is strange to me. If you have to check off where it was left, just put the location that you really put it. read more

The lines can get incredibly long here. Without a doubt the busiest post office in the San Lorenzo Valley... and also the quirkiest! The workers here are priceless, and quite honestly the idiosyncratic service you receive here is why I always buy my postage in person; for me, it's worth the wait. The palm tree and flagpole are cheerful landmarks that serve as good reminders to always look upwards. Both my husband and myself work from home, and are always available. Heck, we get daily shipments from UPS and FedEx. Only with the exception of this USPS I have NEVER had any problems whatsoever. I don't know why they don't get out and knock on door; amazes me but a time I get anything from Etsy or eBay that comes USPS I always end up having go to the post office to pick it up and that's just ridiculous. If your job is to go get a signature to deliver a package than that should be what you do... My beef is I have Amazon Prime which normally is 2-day delivery, the problem is they receive it general delivery, even with my home address on the package they will not deliver it which means I have to go down to the post office to pick it up, and normally the packages are under 2 pounds. read more

(Update: Phew! Got notification that package was just scanned, almost five hours after I left it on the counter at this post office! That's at least two hours after the post office closed...on a Saturday. That tells me that the box was forgotten and discovered by another employee, so I am letting my previous rating and review stand. My advice is the same: make sure you hand your shipment to a clerk and *witness* your package getting scanned. And use the Scotts Valley post office whenever possible.) Don't leave a prepaid shipment on the counter here, no matter what they tell you. I did that and the package never got scanned. Just disappeared. Stolen, I assume, whether by a customer or a USPS employee I don't know. The frustrating thing is I do this at other post office locations all the time. The one on Soquel has you add your packages to a huge pile waiting for scanning, just as a regular practice. At the Front Street post office they tell you to drop your packages to the side of an open window, and they get scanned between customers. Ditto the Scotts Valley location. From now on I am handing packages to a live USPS employee and watching them scan them. And asking for a receipt. Meanwhile, I am out $90. read more

My mail person refuses to actually deliver packages, they just leave a notice without even attempting. Then I have to wait a whole extra and go down to the post office because they are too lazy to do their job. Also, it seems like there's always an excuse to why I can't pick up my package so sometimes I have to wait another day. The new mail Person (of 2 or 3 years) for Lompico tract can't seem to get it right. I leave the junk mail in the box until recycle day so I don't have to take it up to the house then bring it back down just to toss it so it builds up sometimes, She doesn't like that I don't accept junk mail so she stopped delivering my mail all together I wish we could get the last mail deliverer back she was very polite and worked it out so customers were happy.
