It stopped working after about a week, and I asked to return it. I was advised to go to this UPS store. The employee at this store was up front about pricing, was eager to help pack up the monitor with UPS-provided materials, had a good sense of humor, and shipped it back to the seller on time. Got my refund earlier than expected. As a bonus, there's a classic blue postal box immediately outside the store. I mailed some bills while I was there via USPS. Don't waste your time at the post office, it's not worth the pittance you'll save and the frustration you'll endure.

It required two signatures -- one each for me and my husband. Pros: we were able to schedule an appointment with the notary online. The shop was within walking distance of our daughter's, and was easy to find. We were greeted professionally when we arrived and throughout the transaction, and were seen immediately. Our documentation was carefully checked. Unfortunately, though, we can't say that our transaction was a good value. The UPS store back home charges $5 per signature, whereas this store charged $15 each or $30 total. (and, our local library does it for free). To be fair, it's possible that this is the going rate in California. The gentleman also didn't tell us in advance that the notarization requirements/seal look different in California than in Virginia -- so we're holding our breaths to see if the document will be accepted on the Virginia side.

I have been to this store many times and have generally had good service. However, today was a…read moremassive exception and I felt the need to post here because of how scary my experience was today. BEWARE of a young man with short dark hair who works at the Scotts Valley UPS location. Today I arrived there about mid-day and he was loudly and very aggressively verbally attacking an older, disabled male customer. I didn't hear what the customer had said to provoke the employee, but the employee was yelling at the man, "Get out, let's take this outside! Want to take this outside!?" And continued to follow after him and shout at him in a very hostile manner, said something about disrespect (ironic). He chased the customer out of the store as he walked slowly to the door with (I think a cane), clearly this customer was defenseless against this highly volatile staff. The employee even tried to slam the door on the man (fortunately the door is set up with a hydraulic or mechanical system to prevent it from slamming otherwise I'm sure the customer's arm or shoulder would have been injured, or he could have been knocked over!). The customer was soft-spoken, shaken, and said he was calling the sheriff but I don't think he did (at least not that I observed). After the customer was gone, the other employee working that shift must have told him to take a break or leave bc I did not see him in the store. Another customer who was there at the same time joined me in letting the other employee (a young woman with long dark hair) that his behavior was absolutely egregious, scary to the customers, and that staffperson should be fired on the spot. The other customer I was with explained that, coming from an abusive family of origin, that experience was re-traumatizing - to hear someone much more powerful shouting a fairly defenseless customer was triggering for her. My heart was also pounding. The employee we spoke with defended the aggressive employee! She claimed he was at the store since 3am (so what? No excuse for abusive, violent behavior!!). She also said he's never done that before. Either way, he should been fired immediately! She did apologize but seemed more interested in defending him rather than reassuring us that there will be disciplinary action. I left feeling zero confidence that anything would be done, but did let her know that the manager would be hearing from me (I know I sound like a Karen but that whole experience was very scary and I felt very badly for the older man who got attacked - even if he did say something rude or disrespectful, part of good customer service is being able to handle that calmly...this is unfortunately part of any customer service job...been there, done that). I will not be going back to this UPS store unless I know that I will never have to run into this young, troubled person working behind the counter.
