Had a time sensitive document that needed Faxed same day. Went to Annex and expressed the urgency and need to email them my docs to print and Fax. 2 girls behind counter clearly didn't care, showed no motivation to help, and when I asked them for wifi connection to email my docs?... "We don't have internet for customers, you need to go to the Starbucks across the lot". What? Ran to SB's where had to enter valid email (it detected my false email attempts to avoid spam), sent docs and ran back to Annex. Employee printed, then tried to Fax. it was busy again & again & again. I called the govt agency Inwas faxing to who said Fax was working fine on their end. Ran to UPS ScottsV where they sent it through first try and said it's not uncommon for print shops to still operate with outdated fax machines that are notoriously know to have issues. It about cost me my case. Can't express the helpfulness of the UPS staff vs the lacksidasical, non-caring attitude of Annex's staff. read more

The owner here has a nasty rapport with regular people dropping off stuff for ups and fedex like nobody can do anything right.....and she is so rude to the driver guys (fedex, DHL, UPS). A younger employee Amanda is totally opposite and consistently pleasant and "professional." She is probably the reason this business survives. That or there are no other mailboxes to rent close enough to compete. read more

Do not recommend using the postal Annex for shipping international FedEx's. They insisted that the address be translated to English. How do you translate a street name and a city name? Ridiculous. Went to the Santa Cruz FedEx and had no problem. read more

I also had a problem shipping a fed ex envelope internationally. The clerk could not deal with an address in a language other than English. Used another fed ex location and had not trouble whatsoever. Don't franchise owners work with a user's manual? read more

This business is especially helpful if you are not sure whether it is best to use UPS, USPS, or FedEx for a package since they can give you prices for all three for comparison. The employees have been kind and patient, and it is enjoyable to browse the cards and gifts available while waiting. read more

Poor customer service is the reason for the rating. Just needed to drop a prepaid DHL envelope but was greeted with a rude condescending attitude when asked what I wanted. After explaining I only needed to drop off my envelope, I was told where to place it like I should've known amongst the plethora of boxes and packages strewn about the store. If I had the time I would've driven to the next closest pickup point in San Jose and told the woman to get bent. read more

We always enjoy the friendly treatment that we get there when we go to pick up mail. I have had repeated interactions with the company which end with me paying ridiculous amounts for postage. This last time I went in for 1.20 postage, was told that they charge 2.00 for 1.20 worth of postage, then because the I now needed to use a debit card, that was going to cost an extra 3.00. The time before that my 5*8 envelope was charged 11.58. I once had a 5*8 charged $10 to have it arrive with only $1 postage so my recipient needed to pay the$5 difference. Every time I go here I'm amazed at how fast and easy everything is. This last time I walked in with an item and a prepaid ebay postage label. I spent five dollars and a total of two minutes to have the very nice person behind the counter package it up and slap the label on there. I don't think I could have asked for a better experience. ALWAYS greeted kindly by familiar staff members and its always a comfortable and kind environment to be in. I usually use them just to drop off outgoing Ebay packages, but even then, I get a hello or a smile, and a thank you, (for JUST dropping a package and leaving, which by the way, you dont need to wait in line to drop a pre-labeled package). The few times I have needed assistance in finding a box and figuring out the best shipping method for me and my buyer, they have been informative and showed me multiple options while giving ME the choice, and not forcing one on me. Sure the price to ship out from there may be a little above post office, but you are paying for extra attentive service, AND you DONT have to stand in that darned loooong post office line, which to me is worth it. They also have Internet access available on their 'customer use' computer, which was extremely helpful when my internet at home was down and I had to print an Ebay label by a deadline. ** Note to Ebay sellers, You can ALSO drop off your pre-labeled Fed-X packages there . Also quite convenient. All in all, I am VERY glad they are there, and will always go to them before I'd go to post office. Wish I could give them six stars! I've been coming here for years and have always been impressed with their friendliness and service, but after today I had to express my love in writing! As the other Yelpers have mentioned, they know almost everyone by name and their professionalism is outstanding. Case in point: I came in to mail some belated Christmas gifts and they treated me with the usual top-notch service but they also handed me some cash which I accidentally overpaid during my last visit. I used to avoid going here assuming that it would be more expensive than going directly to UPS. I have now found that I save money since they have such a good understanding of the shipping options and costs available across all couriers that I end up getting a better price than if I did it myself.
