This Post Office's Carriers are the worst. I live in Hoakalei for 3 years and I have received the wrong mail over 20 times. I currently have one of my neighbor's packages that lives on a completely different street. We have had 100's of people on the Neighborhood app complain about receiving the wrong package or looking for their package or mail. I have a Ring Video Doorbell and my mom is home 24/7 and she gets medications delivered every month and not once in 3 years have they tried to deliver them. She is constantly calling Express Scripts, they give her the tracking # and I go to the Post Office stand in their long line to have them get it from the back. I have complained every single time to no avail. I just filed a complaint with the Post Master and we are threatening a Class Action for this blatant disregard of or mail and packages that this Post Office can't seem to deliver mail to the right person. 3 years is too long for this incompetence to go on. read more

I went to the EWA Beach US POST OFFICE to locate a package that I was notified via email that it was delivered to my mailbox and left in the package locker box on 10-11-18 at Approximately 1232pm. I went to the counter where Ned was my postal clerk. I explained to him of my situation and his response was he needed a tracking number. I gave him the FedEx tracking and he said it has to be a US postal tracking number. Little does he know that another two digest number has to be in front of the FedEx tracking number. Ned postal Clerk said to wait for supervisor . He said to stand on the side for the Supervisor...I Waited for 10 minutes and then asked how long will it take cause I had a Funeral to attend. He went to her office and returned, saying she was on the phone. I asked him for his supervisors name, her name is Triston EWA Beach post office..I waited for supervisor from 9:23am to 9:31 AM and still she did not come out to speak with me. Josh, the clerk next to him came to my rescue and took down my address, tracking number and phone number and said that as soon as they find out what box the relief carrier put it in, they will give me a call. I arrived home at approximately 1245pm, and seen my regular postal carrier Carlson. I told him my story and apparently someone had given him my package because it was mistakenly put in his mailbox. JOSH and Carlson are the Two hero's in this story and they both deserve a service related medal of Five stars because of there excellent caring attitude and service. NED needs to be more aware of tracking numbers and be more knowledgeable of procedures. As far as EWA BEACH, Hi. US POST OFFICE'S SUPERVISOR, TRISON.....SHE DESERVES A BIG ZERO...YOU'D THINK AS A SUPERVISOR She would have more customer service related experience to handle situation face to face, instead of hiding in her office. read more

Bottom Line Upfront: I vote for front desk staff Josh to be manager of this Ewa Beach branch, and concurrently vote for current manager Wendy & her assistant Tristan (sp) to be demoted & transferred elsewhere. Josh would earn a Yelp 10 Stars in my book. He always engaged and made fun conversations during EVERY transaction. He's also very creative... You can stand in line and listen to 5 different fun conversations Josh started, and not one of them is like the others. Gotta be honest, there were days that I was tired, and really didn't have the energy to keep up with Josh, so I was telling my wife I hope I don't get Josh today. Just my luck, the line moved up... and I got Josh! But, I was wrong... Even when I was tired he made me laugh with "On behalf of the U.S. postal service, thankyou for chosing us today, and as a small token of appreciation I provide you this receipt at no charge." Josh might very well be Employee of the Year in the entire Continental U.S. (and those of you who have been to this branch understand what I am talking about). Unfortunately, even Josh's stellar performance wouldn't save this branch from my 1 Star review... The accountability rests with Wendy & Tristan! I have lost so many packages due to missed deliveries. Tracking numbers will say that packages have been delivered to you, but what can you really do when they are in fact being delivered to someone else by mistake?! This is just the tip of the iceberg of problems at this Ewa Beach branch. Management, specifically Wendy & Tristan, are what make things 10 times worse! Here's an example... Tracking number showed package delivered to a parcel locker.  However, parcel locker key was not delivered in our regular mailbox.  Upon further inquiry, all parcel lockers were empty! Besides, this package with two bracelets inside was small enough to fit in a regular mailbox, and should not have left in any parcel locker (see photos). Also, there was a rash of missed delivered mails (letters & packages from unit #4201 delivered to #4202, and likewise #4202 got delivered to #4203).  I constantly had to bring mail & packages for #4201 to return to my neighbor, and my other neighbor from #4203 occasionally brought missed delivery mail back to us. Unfortunately, sometimes our packages got delivered to a neighbor, they opened it and sometimes we never see that package back, while other times we might got the opened package secretly left in our front yard (not torn through transportation... they were completely/deliberately opened... and they got returned to us because they were stuff we ordered for our infant and they didn't want it).  I suspect that our package this time got missed delivered & lost. I talked to the Ewa Beach post office branch supervisors, Wendy & Tristan, and even gave them a stack of missed delivered mail from my neighbor to my mailbox to prove the case, and that happened frequently. They attempted to go door-to-door to locate my missing package, but to no avail.  They advised me to wait at least 60 days and see if it will turn up... Not very sound advice but I complied. When 60 days were up with no result, they told me to go ahead and file the claim online. When I filed the claim online though the U.S. Postal Service website, the claim then got routed through (you guessed it) the Ewa Beach branch, and then I received a stone cold voicemail from Wendy (as if this was the very first time she learned about this issue) that going by the tracking number, the item has been delivered and that there is nothing else they could do since they have fulfilled their obligation. Talking about having a fox guarding a henhouse!! Thankfully the military has moved me to DC and I no longer have to deal with these clowns (not you Josh!). It is without another headache as a parting gift. Since we weren't going to have a new forwarding address in DC until we either buy or rent, we put HI mail on hold for 30 days, and as soon as we made our change of address we requested for the hold mail to be released, and by the new record they supposed to get delivered to the DC address. Of course not; they all got delivered to our previous Ewa Beach address where it was already occupied by a new renter... and since we don't know each other I assumed all of our hold mail eventually got tossed as we received nothing from those 30 days. What a nightmare in terms of identity theft! Hopefully some postal authorities would start an investigation so this Ewa Beach branch needs to stop being so careless!! read more

I ordered a cover for my truck on 11/27/23 from a company that uses the USPS to deliver. Somehow the cover got lost so another one was sent out with an expected delivery date of 12/08/23. On 12/06/23 the USPS in Ewa Beach, HI. attempted to deliver the cover but the postal receptacle was apparently too small so a notice was left (nothing was left in my mailbox) saying I can have it redelivered or I can go to the post office to pick it up. Since there was no notification left in my mailbox but I had a tracking number I went online to schedule a redelivery for Saturday 12/09/23, directly to my residence. I received a confirmation number (58166971) saying the request was received. It is now the end of the day on Wednesday 12/13/23 and I still have not received the cover. All I've received up to now is an email stating that this is now under investigation and I should hear something by Monday 12/18/23. You would think all the USPS needs to do is put the cover back in the truck and run it out as requested. VERY early in the morning on the weekends, like before 630am you hear all the workers yelling across their lot to each other. slamming things around. or complaining about something or someone. this morning was "OMG! Unfortunately we don't have a choice and are stuck with the post office and some of the incompetent employees. My husband and I have had numerous packages returned to sender because the post off refuses to let us register our new build as a private residence so we could start receiving our mail. I have tried to speak with the post master on two depending occasions to find out what the issue is. The staff here is always professional, helpful, and friendly... and QUICK! I've seen a lot of customers pull up to the location (while I'm still trying to pack my package in the back of my car) and they are always out in a few minutes. When I get inside with all my packages, there may be a few people in line, but its never long. Stopped by today to drop off a couple things-- a package going to Japan & another one going to California. I never thought I'd ever write a review about the post office, considering all of my experiences have been terrible, HOWEVER, this location was different. Lady in the front was nice, answered my questions without a hint of rudeness, and helped me with whatever I needed. I rarely ever mail anything, especially a big care package going to Japan, so I always have questions/need help. Their customer service counter sucks. If you get a notice to pickup mail, you need to make sure you are at the post office during normal business hours. If you are a few min past the 430pm close time, they will not make an exception and let you pickup your mail. The will call hours from 530-7am are a joke. If you get to the window at 7am...apparently they turn off the buzzer. No exceptions there either. If you live in the area, it's a great post office. For some of us that work, the hours, especially "will call" are NOT convenient. They dont make it easy for the customer. read more

I am thankful for this post office's great service and friendly atmosphere. Each one of them works quickly and knows what they're doing, I've noticed all of them have been there for many years. S/O to that one guy that workers there, super friendly, super interactive, short hair--I think we all know who I'm talking about if you're here a lot...incredible! The line indeed gets long, but with patience and a smile, the line moves swiftly--be prepared, have everything you need to get in, and get out; people are waiting. Yes, there is a huge assortment of boxes and envelopes to choose from! And smaller shipping supplies--convenient! However: *Bring a pen or sharpie, there is none here. *Counter space is limited, so if possible, do your addressing elsewhere. *The brown boxes are cheaper than the white *Make sure you're telling them how fast you want your items or how because they might charge you more than you need to. -They do cash/card and sell stamps and envelopes. -They also have the address change form available at the counter. read more

On Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018. I was checking my emails, and read an email, stated your package has been delivered on Wednesday, 21st @ 3:29pm., in parcel locker. Normally, when it notified you says that, you would have a key in your box to open it! Well, it wasn't there... So, I try to call Ewa Beach Post Office (10X) "OMG" No one answers and it keeps on ringing and ringing! I didn't want to go down there in person, "THANKS" for the review that was posted below. I called "AUTOMATED" US POST OFFICE number which was including with my tracking number. Hmm, left my number and got a call back in an hour. She was so helpful, I told her my situation and gave her my tracking number, and she will be sending a ticket to Ewa Beach Post Office. I got a confirmation number. On that sameday, I wrote a note and put in in outgoing mailbox. I stated for "Help to check, by any chance they have made a mistake by drop off a key to someone else mail box". This package was so "SPECIAL" it was a birthday present for my granddaughter. Overall, I finally received a phone call from Wendy, from post office, she mention she received a ticket. We talked and she mention, she will "TRY" to track and look for my package. Yesterday, 28th I saw my "REGULAR" carrier Jason and stop him and told him my story. Today, 29th I got a knock on my door. It was(Post Office) carrier Jason holding my box. "THANK YOU JESUS!" they found my box! He said to me "IS THIS THE BOX!" I couldn't stop thanking him for tracking and finding my box. I mean, can you really "experience better" at a US Post Office? I've moved around quite a bit in my lifetime and I have yet to find a warm, friendly environment in a post office. The employees always seem to hate their life and act like you're wasting their time. This location is no exception. I mean, I am thankful for having the USPS but that doesn't mean I have to LIKE how they serve the community. You know what else? They probably make more than I do AND will receive benefits after retiring since it's a government job...so why the long face? On a brighter note, this location is a bit more "urban" than the location on Renton Road. the carriers for this facility are too lazy to put packages on the porch and instead throw them into your backyard. I have had over 4 packages completely broken due to them tossing it over and am concerned that they will hit my dog when throwing them over the fence as some of them are very heavy. I have spent many a day waiting for someone to answer the phone. I have even gone to the physical location to make my concerns heard. I thought I was making headway when speaking with Tristan. She was polite and courteous but that is where it ended. No action was taken, because I'm still waiting. Another concern that I have yet to voice my displeasure is the speed at which the carriers drive while on our housing property. We have many children on the property and one day there will be an bad accident because of the speed that the carriers (there are several) drive. I have tried to go through the normal channel with no luck. This post office needs to have someone respond to its customers before it is too late. read more

So I had ordered some items online and I recently moved to ewa beach and I've been so busy with work and life I haven't memorized my new address, So I put my work address slash home address as my delivery location. I know I'm fired lol. Anyhoo I got an email stating that my package was being sent back to sender and I was frantic because I was eagerly waiting for my package. So I went down to the location where my package was last at, I knew that this was a long shot however the cashier Ginger was eager to help me locate my package. So she took down my info and said that she'd call me if my items were found and guess what she stayed after hours looking for them and found them!! Do not leave your packages at the click and ship counter, they may disappear. I dropped off 2 packages and when I went on line a couple hours only one of them had tracking. Went to follow up in person and all they could tell me it might get delivered . What ???? Same useless employees there for years....I'm not even going to into the morons that deliver the mail these day. I never thought I'd give five stars to any post office. The thought itself just sounds completely ludicrous. But this location in Ewa has saved me so much time it's not even funny. If you've never used a post office in Hawaii, you should know one thing: people mail a LOT of stuff. And almost nobody knows the rules/prices ... anything about it. Despite the ignorance, the workers here are on point and do an outstanding job getting people through and keeping the line moving. The post office also has some pretty excellent architecture. It's definitely what you envision when you're thinking Aloha post office. Not like many of the blank strip mall style places you see now. Why oh why? I have the hardest time depending on our mailman. I wait for my Amazon packages....then find on Amazon that they attempted delivery but unable to access the front door. What?! The front door is always open because we are open 24/7. Now it's Day 2 and I'm still waiting and praying that I can get the merchandise I've paid for. I've been reading about mail being sent to the wrong addresses and then unable to track it down. We're in Ewa and it sucks!! I'm writing this Yelp review because normally my post office experiences have been the same - I stand in a long line to get business done and I don't usually think twice about it. This experience was very different. I went in to the Ewa Beach post office on a Saturday morning, just after opening and there was a line out the door! There were at least ten people in front of me, but thankfully the line moved at a steady pace. What impressed me, though were the people working there. They were nice, friendly, helpful, and efficient. I was lucky enough to be helped by Josh, who was funny, personable, and who made my package pick up interesting and even fun. Who would've thought going to the post office could be a fun experience? Thanks to Josh and the staff at Ewa Post Office, it was. I would've filled out a customer survey with LOTS of nice things to say about Josh, but sadly I was only there to pick up a package (I think you have to actually buy something to do a survey) so I'm doing this Yelp review in place of it. Not sure what postman is delivering to my home but I'm sick and tired of constantly getting all my neighbors mail in our mailbox. What, my mailbox is the one for the neighborhood and I'm the distributor. And also "stuffing" my mail in the mailbox. Hate having to flatten my bill's and statements. For the passed two months I've had my package delivery put into the wrong address box. Luckily it was in my neighborhoods box and they were honest enough to forward it to me. Another incident I had somebody else's package in my box. The next day when I saw the mail person, I gave it to her and told her she had put it in my box by mistake. No acknowledgement or thank you. Went here on Dec.20 the day after the "busiest" day of the year. Parking lot was full as I approached then 1 car was leaving, yay, then another and another. Seems like I just missed the rush. This place is small but the employees are top notch! Fast friendly service? This place has it down! However. The 3 stars is because they lost my mail in November. Not during Christmas rush time. So it baffles me how they did manage such a feat. Luckily I had purchased insurance and I'm protected. But it can take up to 180 days to get the refund. read more

I never knew I would have a favorite post office or post office employee but I found both today! First of all, the line moved so fast! It was amazing and I was so grateful. Then I noticed that every employee was so helpful. A lady helped me figure out which form I needed to fill out to send a package to Australia. As I finished my packages and then stood in line I couldn't help but listen in on Josh's conversations with those he was helping. He was a breath of fresh air! I was lucky enough to be helped by him and he seriously made my day! He was so helpful and answered my questions, but he was also personable and fun and HAPPY.
