To start, I know know why the Postal Service isn't doing well. They lose your packages. I took 2 priority envelopes that I paid an upgraded fee for certified on Thursday from one post office. It was send to distribution center and back to the servicing branch which is Ewa Beach. Tracking says it was out for delivery the next day. It didn't end up being delivered and said it should be the next day. No further update. So I go to the post office and Ryan was helpful trying to look everywhere for the two envelopes. Even said she would give them back to me. She checked with her Lead Josh who I hear saying that delivery times are not guaranteed. One job here. Get mail delivered on time. I get issues with weather but we are on an island, and how do both envelopes have the exact same thing happen to them? Just needed my legal documents to get there when the expected date that was stamped on the certified ticket that was given to me. I could have taken to FedEx and had no issue, probably even paid less than I did. Such a waste of my time and money. No I just have to wait until they find them, if they do. read more

Hold it. Before going on my trip (I know you read all those reviews), I decided to hold my mail. So after arriving, time for pickup. It's the standard, post office. Four windows with only two being occupied. They sell all the standard items you see everywhere else. Boxes and tapes and greeting cards. And there are the outdoor mail boxes you can rent. I've always had a great experience with the counter staff when I come in person. Lines move fairly quick and I've never had trouble with parking. Aside the fact that giving zero stars isn't an option, what I mentioned earlier is the only reason there are stars on this review. Mail DELIVERY from this location on the other hand, is why it should be zero. The amount of times I'm missing packages is crazy. I live in a gated community with locks on our mail bins so I know they aren't being stolen by random people. Tracking will say "Delivered to parcel locker" with the timestamp. If the locker key was placed in the wrong unit numbers bin, everyone in our neighborhood is really great about dropping it off to the right house. This happens so often around here, sad to say we almost expect it, and allow a courtesy 1-2 day window to see if a neighbor comes by with it. If not, here begins the hassle of filing missing mail claim, while simultaneously notifying the package sender of the incident, etc. Add extremely delayed products because we have to reorder and wait for the new shipment. Out of all the claims I had to file, only once did it ever come back "found". I get the sense that there's some shady shady things going on with these carriers. It's not like the packages were delayed during shipment, they will say "Delivered" (to the locker) every time. In another case I scheduled package pick-up, and on the scheduled date, I was literally sitting on the front porch next to my package when my alert went off that it was picked up. Again, gave them the benefit of the doubt because I understand mistakes happen. I let it sit there for 2 more days and they never did come get it. Their website is glitchy as shit and I couldn't cancel the pick-up request. I took the package down to the office myself and had the most fun showing the worker the request in my phone and asking how the package was picked up 2 days ago when I'm dropping it off now. I was nice of course, as it's not her fault, and she was very apologetic. But again, another mysterious event of packages being scanned into a false status, no matter if incoming or outgoing! This has been going on for years. No change, no accountability, and these are government workers! read more

I just had to Yelp Ewa Beach Post Office. Especially this time of year. Sent out several boxes already. 1 i had to wait. Wasnt ready to go plus we were busy at work. Anyway, they were busy. As you might think. The line was going down the sidewalk and to the road. Because of social distancing it looked worse then it really was. The window clerks did fast work with us customers. And when it was my turn to talk with one of them and get my stamp for my flat rate Christmas box. She was very pleasent. Nice even. I also had a question on one of my prior boxes i sent out last week. She went the extra mile and helped me. I didnt get her name for she wasnt using a name tag. But she was very helpful. Have package that requires signature? Dont expect their mail carriers to actually attempt to deliver your package, they will just leave a notice in your mailbox that says "Sorry we missed you." There are 3 people at home that time, windows open, doors open we could literally see you. Stop being lazy and do your actual job, stop wasting someone's time to go and pick up their package just because you didn't. 0 / 10 if I could have other post office to deliver my mail and packages I would but I'm stuck with these incompetent people. read more

I have never had any issues at this Post Office, but it can get pretty full. There is parking in front but to get to it you need to go behind a shopping center and over so many speed bumps. You have to wait until you are in the service area to be able to get forms to fill out so either plan ahead or excuse yourself into the room to get the forms and then go get in line otherwise you may be rushed to fill forms out when you are the second or third in line. read more

Wow! I'm saddened to make this review. I had been to this location in the past and it was wonderful. This time, ruined it all. We have really important legal documents that we entrusted be signed for. We did this on the 23rd and should have been signed for by the 24th. It's now the 28th and nothing has been updated. My husband went chasing these two packages down by physically going to two locations. No one knows what they're doing, no one knows where the docs are. We paid a premium price for these and now completely lost. I've tried calling the national office, they are completely unhelpful (spoke to a Marcel). My husband spoke with a couple representatives in the Ewa office and they seemed flippant as to where they were. He was there to just pick them up and hand deliver ourselves. Now with the packages lost, we are in a world of a mess. We need to documents today. We are due a full refund. I would not recommend using USPS. Go to FedEx instead. It's cheaper, more reliable and friendlier. read more

Things you need to know about Ewa Beach's postal office. 1. If you are dropping off a package then you can skip the line and walk it over on the clerk counter (far right table top). 2. Yes they have social distance requirements. Lines are long since there are mainly two or three clerks. 3. You can reschedule package delivery online if you were not home. I came here since I needed to sign for a package. Therefore, I chose to come in person to avoid another slip that says "they missed me." Aww how sweet. LOL but clerks here are friendly. 4. If you have a PO Box there is a half window/door area in the beginning. From an overheard customer interaction, a woman had a difficult time opening her PO Box and was informed by the clerk that she has to do it gently in a joking way. However, I am not sure if the customer wanted to hear that. She could not open so the clerk came out to assist her. Possibly his tactic was to include humor to de-escalate the situation. 5. The colored or designed letter holders and package wrap/tape is available for sale in office. Items can be found along side the wall. The no-charge boxes are near the line on the right. 6. They have greeting cards! Now call me anachronistic but cards are the heart-warmer and melter for those who want to see your hand-written words as they read and remember the sound of your voice. Trust me during this trying time, words can be used to bring life! I just want to say, Ewa Beach post office is the best on the leeward side. The workers at the counter really do care about customer service! John was very fast with shipping out the 4 boxes that I needed to send out to my son who moved out for college! Also John is really knowledgeable with all my questions about shipping and also passports after I noticed the applications at the office! 3 times I receive a notification that my mail was delivered and when I go too the mail locker there is nothing and no way to find it. They post office sent me a letter looking for a package they say was delivered to. I received nothing. They have a real problem at this post office and nothing is done. Someone needs to do their job. The past 6 months I have had mail missing. My informed delivery notification says delivered. However the mail is not in my parcel box. I've had packages missing and it says delivered and when I go to grab it it's missing. I've filed claims with the postal service and police reports and nothing has helped. I've received other peoples mail countless times and I've had to return it in the parcel box. So whomever is delivering the mail needs to pay closer attention. How would you feel if your mail was going to other strangers and they for to see all your personal information like bank statements and credit card information. Do better!!! read more

Very impressed with the customer service and the efficiency that the young man working there was providing. Just stopped by to see if a package was returned there and the line was very long. #122 of 2017 This location has always provided great service. Back when I was a young stamp collector Mrs. Murakami educated me on collecting explaining block of 4, special day covers and much more. Now, I'm a personal friend of hers. Today that service has changed. I do most of postal needs, domestic and international, online. At usps.com you can order stamps and supplies delivered to your home. You can also pay for shipping, print a mailing label and just drop it off. I like that during the holidays. Beats having to wait in line. Sometimes I do need to go in. Not all shipping methods are featured online. When I do go in its pleasure to see Josh manning the counter. Being the clown in the office he brings a unique experience not seen any where else. Can't be around him 24/7 but always brings me to smile listening to his crazy antics. I work from home in my back room and I have been up since 6 am this morning. I didn't open my front door or living room windows until around 8am where I found the USPS note stating they "missed me" and it's dated today 12/29. How did they miss me when I was home the entire time? My doorbell did not ring and I didn't hear any knock. If the worker did knock it wasn't even loud enough (I have a 1 bedroom apartment so I would've heard something) my dog didn't even bark and he barks every time someone makes their presence at the door. I'm thinking that the worker assumed I wasn't home because everything was closed and I didn't have any lights on being that I had my computer on, so I didn't need light in my back room. Yeah they can deliver it again or I can pick it up, but the point is the worker isn't even doing their job properly. How annoying. read more

2 stars is about right. It's a smaller post office that doesn't seem to have been renovated since the 1920s. Always seems to be a long line when I go. Also, the location sucks. It's hard to find down a side street which requires you to drive over 4 of the tallest speed bumps. Lastly, the parking lot is tiny and has been full a couple times that I've gone. read more

Dontcha just hate it when you want to send postcards while you're on vacation but all you have are first class stamps? Which got me to thinking, do they even still sell post card stamps? Yes. Post card stamps still exist and are currently 35 cents each. I purchased a total of six. I walked in and all three of the counters stations were open and they were very quick in moving to the next available customer. In all it took me less than 4 minutes to stand in line, make my purchase and back out the door to the car. Mailed the post cards from Hawaii on a Saturday afternoon and they arrived to Atlanta in the Tuesday mail delivery. read more

As of today 6/1/2019 I am shocked to learn of the many mail incidents that have been happening here in Ewa Beach as I scroll through the pages of our Ka Makana and Kipuka Hoakalei FaceBook Community Group. Mail tracking indicating delivered but the residents not receiving them, other residents receiving mail for their neighbors or other people...packages showing detailed delivery areas such as porch, front door, etc but when residents check, they aren't where notifications say they are placed. It is disturbing...inconsistent...and frustrating to know the federal government cannot deliver mail to the appropriate places or residents. read more

Where do I beginnnnnnnnn??? When we moved to Ewa, we were in contact with the builders who confirmed that there was a mailbox ready for USPS to deliver... we drove passed this everyday. When I tell you, USPS Refused to deliver.... they literally did.... I had just given birth to my baby and were waiting for important docs. I went up to the office several times and talked to the manager several times... finally they delivered after weeks, several trips, and returned mail. Fast forward... these people are TERRIBLE... I've had sooo many packages delivered to my home that I never receive and have to go to the post office to figure out what's going on.... I'm soooo tired!!! I pay for delivery because I don't want to go out and seek it.... I HATE the USPS!!!!! Throw the whole thing AWAY!!! NOW!!! Worst ever!! I have NEVER had this experience at any other!!! Yallllll.... it happened again!!! 3rd time in 7 days!!! I have a friend in corporate, so I am taking to her. My brother sent me a package, I go to my mailbox today... find the parcel key.... take the parcel key to the parcel marked 1PE..... I open 1PE.... and NOTHING.... NADA.... I just love this post office!! The lines are long at times but I've never seen a line move so quickly to the counter and out the door!! I've seen this happen so many times since frequenting this postal station that I'm not discouraged when I see those long lines - only because I see the same staff efficiently and encouragingly moving people through. One postal worker stands out from the rest - JOSH - is ALWAYS friendly and instantly brings on a smile on anyones face just with his candor and customer service. I've been lucky enough to get him several times and each time I leave there happy and smiling. How often have you left a post office feeling that way (unless you're getting a care package or long awaited delivery)? read more

I haven't had issues with this USPS. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They seem to take pride in what they do. They get busiest between 2pm and 3pm, but nothing to dramatic. Parking lot has about 12 stalls total, but most people are in and out. Oh and don't forget, get a Passport here! The last month or so, my mail has either been left at this office (not delivered) or delivered days late. Today 11/19/2023 I'm awaiting a package to be delivered. Well, I get home from work, no package. Yet I see the postal vehicle drive passed my house as I'm out walking. Still no delivery. I'm also awaiting another package in a few days, I'm betting it also will not be delivered on time. Service at this branch has gone down in the last year or so. Went on a Monday around 12:30, not that busy considering we're so close to the holidays. There were 3 windows open, all 3 full, and only 1 more person in line behind me. Another clerk came up to open up the 4th window to help me. I like that they didn't wait for a crazy line before having another clerk come out and help. I will normally drive to another post office to conduct business and I only live a mile away from this one in Ewa Beach. I have no control that this post office delivers packages to my house. There have been multiple times when my packages were delivered to the wrong address (neighbors), or I've gotten my neighbor's packages. A few re-delivery attempts have taken multiple days when the notice posted on the door and the USPS site say re-delivery would be attempted the next day. If you call no one answers the phone, it just rings and rings like calling the Satellite DMV. There has been more than one time I've gone to the post office during the posted business hours and it's been closed. Not sure why it was closed and no sign on the door or anything to explain why. read more

This post office location has an ant infestation issue. I've received a few packages filled with ants. I've reported the issue to the company's Ive purchased from and they have guaranteed and provided proof that they're clean and free of any pests. It's an annoying issue to deal with on top of packages arriving LATE majority of the time. Not a trustworthy post office. read more

Tonight Amazon alerts me my package arrived and was delivered to my front porch. None found, so I checked my mailbox and found someone else's package ( a completely different address. So I walked down the street checking with similar units as mine and I found my package 4 housing units down. I was fortunate to find it and I will deliver the package that was in my mailbox to its rightful owner tomorrow. I have to wonder if the USPS delivery person can read or needs glasses. read more

The younger guy with glasses is very nice, but he's always rushing you through the process. He doesn't give you a chance to verify your address on the screen, tells you automatically to hit NO to the "liquid, fragile, etc" question without even asking you, doesn't offer any other services like stamps, etc. When I have him, I always get flustered. I was going to get a signature required form and buy stamps the last time I was in there, but he makes the whole thing so fast without giving you options that I forgot. It's frustrating. If you are a newbie and find yourself looking for this post office just know that your GPS might send you in circles. After much circling I discovered that an easy way to find this post office is by navigating to the Long's drugstore or the Mc Donalds. If you are facing Long's go toward the right side of the building, drive through there and you will see the post office ahead of you (basically behind the building). One great thing is this post office is handicap accessible with ramp and automatic sliding doors. So its perfect for access if you have wheels. This is the third time in the last year my package was tracked "delivered at/in mailbox " however there was no package or key. Went to post office no one could help and was advised the supervisor was busy and call later. Last time this happened the package was tracked delivered but it was at another neighborhood mailbox. One of the carriers in Ewa is being dishonest and not doing their job. That's a shame. And the neighbors who has the package is not returning it to the right addressee.
