Wow, my 18 year old daughter went to the post office today on Primrose, some woman behind the counter kept telling her all her paperwork was incorrect for her Passport. This was not the case, so she got back in line to show her what the State Department web site said, the woman then refused to talk to her and told another employee to help her. She then proceeded ridicule her and say things like "She's only 18 she doesn't know what she's doing" "She not fully grown" and other rude comments. So it seems that this unhelpful post office employee who was wrong, instead of correcting her knowledge, decided it was appropriate to ridicule an 18 year old girl in front of the entire post office. Needless to say, she was right and got her passport. I find it hideous that this behavior is allowed by a government employee, she should be ashamed of herself, I'll be filing a complaint against her. Just found out her name is Diana, next time you see her thank her for teaching my daughter how NOT to act in a professional environment when customer service is important. read more

Should have checked yelp first before making a passport appointment. Worst service ever! Diana was the rudest employee I've ever had the misfortune to meet. Zero stars. So I get one of those pesky slips from USPS saying "Haha you missed us. Come pick up your crap at the very inconveniently located Post Office." I load up my kid, go to the PO, wait in line. My express package isn't there. "Here. Call this number." I call the number. It rings and rings, and then disconnects. This happens three times. I finally get a hold of someone, but she can't help me because the tracking number on the slip is illegible. Meanwhile, my head is getting larger and larger due to the steam building between my ears. I call USPS customer service. The wait time is 40-50 minutes!!! My phone is on speaker as I type this, and I'm listening to shitty soft jazz. After being on hold for 43 minutes, the customer service genius on the phone hear's my story and says "Huh. That's weird." And that was the most helpful thing he said, except for giving me the phone number to the local branch that I started at. It rang and rang and rang and I was hung up on. I hope the USPS is the next government agency that Trump guts. read more

Scheduled an appointment for my 2-month old's passport. Called in advance to make sure I would have all the paperwork ready. I asked about whether they took photos of the baby and they said they would as long as we brought a white blanket for the background. I got here 15 mins in advance of the appointment time and they were 20 mins late. The supervisor told us they don't do photos of babies. As we were trying to explain the situation, she kept talking over us. Not even letting us tell her we called in advance and that they told us they provided the photo service. After rambling for a while we finally managed to tell her that. She proceeds to ask the name of the person on the phone. Obviously we did not ask nor would remember that. Then proceeded to say that the blanket we brought was not white. Put it against the wall and said that the wall was white; not the blanket. My wife, myself and bystanders in line were in awe, given that the wall looked yellow as compared with the blanket. She was rude, disrespectful, and completely lacks empathy for her customers. And she is the supervisor! Advice to USPS senior management. Transition her to a back office non-customer facing role. Did I mention that as we were leaving we overheard her blame us for the delay for the next customer appointment? Do not come to this place. read more

Every time I go here, they are out of stamps. The person behind the counter today told me that they have been out of priority mail stamps for the past month- that they are at the mercy of the supervisor for her to order them, and that she hasn't ordered them for over a month. Seriously, that's terrible. How hard is it to place a stamp order when your stock gets low? I could understand a day or two of low stock, but a month of no stamps over $1 They do keep the lines here down, so good on that front. Updated! And the lady in charge of passports was helping another staff member restock supplies with a long line of customers waiting. She could have delegated the restocking to her coworker. Nelson helped myself , husband, and infant daughter get our passports. He was super through with all our paperwork and caught some errors as well. I can tell he knows what he is doing and can do it all in his sleep, he was quick and done before our appointment was suppose to be over. I was also very impressed with the other clerk holding down the line while Nelson helped us. It definitely takes patience to deal with some of the people who come in and can't wait and freak out cause there are 2 people in line. Hats off to the Nelson and his colleague. read more

Nelson is awesome. I tried to make an appointment to apply for a passport but the website wouldn't let me choose even when they said time slot was available. I gave the office a call and told Nelson my situation with the website. He told me if I can make it by 1015. And I race down to the post office. He started on my application but I didn't have a check ready or my debit card. I usually just carried my credit card and ID. told Nelson I will have to come back a different day and make an appointment. He was like no. Don't need to set an appointment t. The ladies who work here are great (especially Linda). But this complaint is about the mail person delivering on my route. I waited all day for my package and been checking the tracking all day for a delivery today. Then at 540pm still no knock on my door so I check tracking online and it said notice was left in my mailbox at 5pm! Please Mr. postman knock LOUDER (and I hear the slightest of sounds and I didn't hear anything at 5pm!!!) but I am thinking you were too lazy to come to my door to have me sign for it so you decided to leave a note in my mailbox instead!!?? It seems service here has improved. I arrived 15 mins early for my passport appointment as it recommends and they very nicely took me right there before the person (Nelson) went on his break. I would mention passport appointments are now done online and not going in and make an appointment. The system works much better than the old having to go in and make an appointment. read more

I have to say, if there is a possibility of giving this post office a -1 star I would! First off, they moved from Park to Primrose. When I went by the Park location, the entire building was fenced in, and a small, very worded notice was on the front door, which could not even be read due to the distance from the fence to the door. Nice - thanks government - always so efficient. *sarcasm* No one I asked had any idea where they moved. I finally found it, and as always, was greeted with long lines and what looks like very unhappy workers. I know people don't like general reviews, but there has been TOO many cases of my packages "not being deliverable" for some stupid reason or another (I have no idea because they never give you specifics) and emails or notices telling me I HAVE TO go to the post office to retrieve them. After waiting in the long, painful line with a very active toddler, the unfriendly staff always tell me that the package is not at the post office and is out for delivery. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! Every time I have problems with them, I always think to myself "this is why the USPS is going under." Plus, on a side note, I have not been receiving ANY mail or packages for the past week, and apparently have been getting delivery notices, which I have not! Tried calling them, and of course, it lead no where. Still trying to figure out where my packages are and if they can even be delivered. Thanks Burlingame USPS... This is the worst post office ever. Customer service is problem and employees are not professional or polite. I was grabbing boxes to package items I have to send to family for the holidays. A woman by the name of Diana, asked me with an attitude if i was going to take all of her boxes. I tried to remain polite as she was rude and aggressive. She mimicked me in front of clients when I politely told her I needed them to send packages to family. I made sure to ask for her name and let her know that she was quite rude and unprofessional. I was amazed at the excellence of this post office at 329 Primrose. I needed to return a cell phone by mail, and was really dreading the experience. Instead, I was in and out within 10 to 15 minutes, with everything done perfectly. This was largely due to the help of the manager, Diana, who was superb in helping me and explaining. The only thing that caused a slight delay was my credit card, which was slightly bent. Diana even helped me with that. I don't understand why I thought the U.S. post office is inefficient. Susanna at the Burlingame PO is an absolute disaster. Rude, interruptive and not even trying to pretend to help. It was like talking to the furniture. I was just not getting through. Meanwhile Linda at the other station was killing it! as always. It was just my bad fortune that I got Susanna. My problem wasn't solved and I was rudely told to "go online". Maybe the PO doesn't pay their employees well or places other restrictions on them - resulting in sour, dour and thoroughly uninterested employees. If I didn't have to express mail my passport to a PO Box in Philadelphia (and FEDEX/UPS do not deliver to PO boxes) - I would not have set foot inside. I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I've had so many problems with this post office, even before it moved to the new location, that I'm fed up. First of all, the move to Primrose - I cannot for the life of me figure out what would have inclined them to move to this tiny building that would be much better suited as a retail location. I ship a lot of large items, and instead of a large parking lot I now have to hope there's a spot close on the street so I don't have to lug things too far. The new location is tiny...it's nice looking inside, sure, but it's so small that the line seems to always be to the door. I asked why they had moved, and no one seemed to know. Second, their redelivery is AWFUL. They leave the little "Sorry we missed you!" slips on the door, and I'll go online by noon that same day to schedule a redelivery for a day or two later - plenty of time. Nope, things don't show up until three to fours days later, and if I try to go to the post office to pick them up myself I usually can't because they either can't find my package or it's finally out for redelivery...which results in them leaving another "Sorry we missed you!" slip despite my explicit instructions to leave the package anyway. Finally, the attitude of the people working here is generally terrible. No please, or thank you, or anything of the sort. I went to pick up a package that (surprise) hadn't been redelivered, and they couldn't find it for a while. When they finally did, the lady who was working opened a side door and violently slid it at me (it was a large box) without a word whatsoever. We all have our bad days, but geez, don't take it out on my package! read more

DO NOT EVER USE THIS POST OFFICE! I sent a package of CRITICAL PPE MEDICAL SUPPLIES to a frontline ER responder for the COVID crisis priority express 2 day (actually I said I wanted it 1 day and the postal clerk apparently decided it should go 2 days instead without telling me). It has been 3 days and the package HAS NOT LEFT THE BURLINGAME POST OFFICE YET! I called the customer service and they said they could do nothing, a ticket number would be assigned and someone would follow up in 2-3 business days. So in short A WEEK AFTER THE PACKAGE WAS SHIPPED EXPRESS, SOMEONE MAY CONTACT ME TO HELP. Great. My frontline responder with no PPE who has been waiting for this package will probably contract COVID by then. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE USPS. DHL or UPS are the only way to go. I have wonderful experience here.I went there on 13th of this month with my one month old baby to apply for his passport.I went there with birth certificate and ID cards of both parents .They helped me with photocopy of all required documents ,getting picture of the baby etc.It's tough to get photo of the baby at post office if your baby sleeps so things can get faster if you have photo with you.I did expedite service and got passport within 8 days which is pretty fast . read more

If you have a choice of how your package gets delivered, go with UPS or Fedex - NOT USPS. Our carrier who operates out of this branch is normally excellent. But when she's off, they send some random person and more often than not packages get delivered to the wrong house. Just this past week, a postal carrier dumped a neighbor's package on my doorstep when the delivery address was clearly and correctly printed in big characters on the front of the package. Two days later, I was expecting another package and it was listed as delivered under tracking but was nowhere to be found. I had to make 3 phone calls to the regional customer call center because the only followup our lovely local Burlingame Post office would do is leave messages simply reading old tracking info claiming the package was correctly delivered without doing any further research. I also got a call from them stating their GPS records show the package was delivered to the correct address. Well guess what? They must be using 20 year old GPS tracking technology because the next day another neighbor of mine brings over my package which was (surprise) delivered to them by mistake. read more
