Complete dysfunction since the new postmaster took over. Packages and letters delivered 2 months AFTER arrival at the facility, including checks. "Batch" delivery to our PO Boxes with days of empty boxes (never happened before in 20 years) then crammed boxes. Yellow slips with a "sorry we don't see anything" after waiting in line, yellow slips for packages when 50% of the keyed boxes are empty. Waiting on the postmaster to finish talking to some person about non postal related stuff for minutes and told , I'll be with you in a minute, standing there with my yellow slips with a line forming behind me. The workers working hard filling P.O. Boxes and sorting mail while their boss stands there like a statue not offering direction or helping. It's clear to this family that the problem is with the boss here. I could ignore the rudeness and disrespect if he performed even at a barely acceptable level, We have received expensive orders over a month after tracking showed them arrived and missed the date to return them. Just crazy. Never in six decades have I seen such utter incompetence. read more

They lost another package that was sent to me and when asked about the ongoing issue I was verbally accosted by the Postmaster. He was rude, derogatory and told me to "stop acting like a girl," when I complained about his attitude and behavior. He was either having a tough morning or losing packages has been an ongoing issue and he knows he's going to get a reprimand. Either way, terrible attitude, terrible service and am filing a complaint with the USPS. read more

Came here for passport renewal because all appointments near me in San Jose were booked. Chris was fantastic through and through. Just a genuinely great person who explained everything step by step clearly, he cares for customers and people. That is rare these days. Everyone seemed pleasant here and happy this definitely seems to be the best post office I've ever been to. Stopped by this morning to get my kiddos passports. The man helping us was so friendly and efficient! We were in and out within 25 minutes for two passports. Pro tip- this was one of the only locations in the bay that had same week passport appointments! read more

Small neighborhood post office. Older facility with no automated machine. They have a lot more PO Boxes compared to other cites as mail delivery is limited. Parking is easy to find on the street. Service is nice. read more

1 star but only because the staff is very nice. My issue is with the hours. They open after everyone has left for work and close before anyone get home. To top it off, they are closed during lunch hours so it makes it very difficult to pick up packages and since we in El Granada don't have a choice - it not like they actually deliver the mail here. M-F 10- 12:30 Open 2.5 hours 12:30 - 1:45 Closed 1:45 - 5 Open 3.25 hours Why are they closed for 75 min in the middle of the lunch day? They can't stagger lunch for these guys so that people can pick up packages? Saturday is even worse - just enough to screw up any weekend plans you may have. 9:30 - 12:00 2.5 hours I would love to know who is the one to dream this up? read more

This is my local post office. We don;t get mail delivered to our house here - the boonies. You can choose a mailbox at a central spot down the street or a post office box. When we first moved here I thought this was an incredible inconvenience. But I was wrong. I love having a PO box. And my local USPS team is great. Always friendly, always fast and helpful when I need to send stuff. I was just there today to send my last Christmas presents out and they were fast! Last weekend before Christmas and no line - they were moving us out of there!! :) If you are just moving to the area and have a choice of mailbox down the street or a PO Box. Take the PO Box. Much easier, much safer and you will meet some nice people :) read more

I do get the mail delivered to my house. Which I feel is convenient and nice. The driver must not be allowed to ever get out of his car - if anyone is parked near the mailbox - no mail will be delivered. The problem with this is not everyone realizes this and randomly parks in front of mailboxes. The hours are slim - and no stamp machine - so if you really need something - make sure you plan ahead. They leave for an hour for lunch - which apparently when I have the time to get to the post office. I really don't understand keeping these little Post Offices open - we can just drive the 4 miles to the Half Moon Bay Post Office. read more

The staff generally is fantastic. A lady who may be the Manager has poor Customer relations skills. A package from back east had both my physical address & PO box number on it was sent back to sender. She would not admit to this mistak &'had a very abrasive attitude. I need the product & the company I bought it from is eating the postage. Except for her it's a great post office read more

Chris and Mila do a great job. The others who work there don't really go out of their way to help. Overall, not bad for a post office. I'm not sure how they would do without their two best employees though. read more

I love our local post office here in El Granada. It would be VERY inconvenient to drive the 9-mile round trip to the Half Moon Bay post office since I have an illness that limits my driving abilities. This is the most efficient post office I've ever been to, much much better service than HMB (which isn't bad). The entire staff here feels like extended family. I think USPS should use the El Granada staff, attitude and processes as a benchmark to better understand what customer service is all about. read more

The hours open are really limited for sending packages, but you can basically go almost any time and just knock at the side door and pick up packages which is nice. I wish they were open for longer hours though. Especially in the morning..and their lunch break is far too long! Otherwise great PO. Someone's suggestion of shutting it and having to go to HMB Post office horrified me! It's hard enough making the 2 minute drive to the EG post office, but think about fighting the traffic to HMB and back... read more

We live in a small town, and some of the postal employees are getting old and are rude and inconsiderate, acting like they are doing us a favor to do their civil service job which most people would be thrilled to have! But it's worse than that... Our packages are delivered to the post office: we do not have door-to-door mail service. The postal employees insert a card in our post office box, letting us know to pick up packages. Lately, it seems they often don't bother. When the parcel is a few days late in arriving, we ask and they mysteriously appear back there after they search around for awhile. We have paid for First Class or Priority Mail, and by that time, we have actually received our shipment much later, and may as well have paid for the sluggish Parcel Post. When I pay for Delivery Confirmation, they will actually scan the packages but not deliver them! I'll go on their website, and it will say it was delivered yesterday, but I have not received it! read more
