The UPS Store - Delivering Christmas cookies - Notaries Near Me - San Mateo, California

Great experience at this UPS Store, especially for Amazon returns. They make the process quick and easy. You can either use the convenient self-serve area or get help from the friendly and efficient staff. The team here is always welcoming and patient, even when the line gets busy. It's nice to have the option to handle returns on your own or get assistance if needed. The store is clean, organized, and runs smoothly. Overall, a reliable and hassle-free spot for Amazon returns and other shipping needs. read more

Terrible and rude AF attitude from the short haired asian lady working there today Saturday 5/16/26. Loud and snarky! I had accidently brought a Whole Foods Amazon return. She scanned it but of course it didn't work. My fault. But then she slammed her scanner down and said smart-assed "you know about Whole Foods?" Biz do you know about customer service? Onward and upward to EDD honey. read more

The UPS Store - It is 8:50am. Everyone waiting for staff to show up & open store (store hours says opens at 8:30am) - Notaries Near Me - San Mateo, California

These guys are terrible. Charging $3 to tape a box or making us buy their tape. I would never go here again.

Every time I go here the staff are busy but friendly and helpful. It's clean. It's safe. It's convenient and it's a great place to drop off packages. What else ya need ? read more

I was hesitant to come by here because from the pictures I thought the location was in a CVS and I've had a negative experience dropping off packages at CVS. However, this is an actual, stand-alone UPS store. The store is larger than the one by Mollie Stone on El Camino. It was clean and orderly. There was another customer there who was being helped by an employee. I just needed to drop off a package, so I said, "Drop off" and she kinda just looked at me weird. Like I said, I was worried about the low ratings, but another employee came out. I wish I could just drop off my package but he wanted me to set the package on the scale? And then gave me a receipt. So that interaction was fine. At the UPS location on Edgewater and other UPS locations the employees are fine with you just dropping off the packages as long as you don't care for a receipt. Since the employee preferred for me to get a receipt and did not give me an option, this might be a problem if there are a lot more customers and you already have your package ready and then you need to stand in a long line just to drop off a package. No one wants that. But I can't say what will happen, but if it's the holiday seasons I might go to the Edgewater location. My favorite location is the one by Mollie Stone's but it's further for me. This location is conveniently located off of CA 92 and it's in a shopping complex on El Camino and Safeway is across the street. There is also a notary service. read more

The service is not bad, but I was surprised by they charge $3 for ONE return label, is it normal price?

This is my absolute favorite UPS store! I live in San Bruno, but I'll throw my stuff into the car so that when I'm in San Mateo, I can go by the store. I've never had an issue with customer service, everyone seems knowledgeable and helpful. Alex is usually there in the mornings and he's always Friendly, efficient and happy! read more

There is a short Asian lady who seems to find something to criticize with every package drop-off. Recently she complained about an Amazon return in its original brown cardboard box, even though that is now the standard for many shipments. If a secondary box was used, I suspect she would say it's too large. Doesn't matter what you do, she will find something. This has happened multiple times to me. Looking at past reviews, it has happened to multiple people over at least the past 5 years. Go somewhere else. read more

Unfortunately I buy and return stuff so much I've gotten to know my friendly neighborhood UPS peeps. Everyone has always been so nice and helpful. Love coming here. read more

I always find the people at this store helpful, parking is easy and the location is super convenient!

This is a horrible site. I asked the lady who owns this place to help me process several Amazon returns because it would take a long time to do them with the self service kiosk. She just sarcastically said well it will take me just as long so you can help yourself at the kiosk. And lo and behold I was there forever. As other customers came in with items to return I told them I would be there forever so might as well make the owner do some work if they didn't want to wait for me....never coming back here. read more

I have to say: even when this store gets busy, the staff always seem so cheerful and friendly. So it's probably a well run place. It's also in a convenient location. read more

Sally was super helpful and friendly at this location! Restored my faith in the services of UPS staff.

Thankfully the people there are great now! Friendly, knowledgeable helpful and efficient! Good job with staffing!!

Alex is wonderful! He is so efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. He never fails to make me smile every time I am there.

HOW I WISHHHHH their security cameras had videos WITH AUDIO so I can put this employee on blast. RARELY do I review for non- restaurant businesses but when I do its REALLY good or REALLY BAD. Came on Wednesday 7/15 around 2:45-3:00pm. Employee had short black hair with glasses. Was just returning an amazon package. I politely said "Hi, just returning these amazon packages (2) today" Employee: ok Me: I was trying to pull up the QR code from amazon *took a little bit under 1 min* NOTE: There was NO ONE behind me. NO ONE. Her other colleague was helping another customer. Employee: *big sigh, puts down the scanner* (SPEAKS IN CANTONESE) "SO slow. Stupid AF (CHUN DO SEI 蠢的死) , so slow" LADY. FIRST OF ALL, don't assume people don't understand your language. SECOND OF ALL, SO uncalled for, SO unprofessional, FOR WHAT. I literally stopped what I was doing and starred at her because I'm just in such disbelief. I was biting my tongue so hard to not say anything back and be classy. I just left because I was just in shock someone could be that rude and just name call for someone pulling up the QR code. I didnt finish the return of my second package. Called corporate. Waiting for the store manager, Alex to call back. I mean , my dude, have you been paying attention to the yelp reviews? Its been constant 1 stars for the customer service for years now. Didnt think they would care. So I told myself to go back and stand up for myself and return the second package. She asked "Did you call corporate?" Me: Yes I did Employee: WHY Me: because it was such an uncomfortable experience. Employee: from who Me: You actually. I understood what you said in Cantonese. You said I was dumb and slow. Employee: I NEVER SAID THAT. If I did I would admit it. *me in my head: then please do. You're double my age and acting like a child* Me: well you did and I heard you very clearly Employee: No I never said that. Just so you know dumb is 蠢 and slow is 慢. Me: I know. And thats what you called me (GIRL. Native speaker my whole life I dont need you to educate me on cantonese) Employee: we would NEVER call customers that, we are professional Me: (honestly knew this was going nowhere as she refuses to admit it) Well, I stand by my word and know what you said Employee: fine whatever OH OK. So you gonn act like the whole 10 seconds you were calling me names never happened. Because I would be SO BORED with my life to come in and make up this whole situation? GIRL I HAVE SO MANY BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH MY LIFE. Just stop assuming no one understands you when you sh*t talk. Be more professional and live up to what you did. *DID NOT END UP RETURNING MY PACKAGE A SECOND TIME. She gave me some BS about not being able to return but when I went to another UPS they took my package no problem no questions asked* What a waste of my gas and time. I will just go further out for my returns now. read more

My wife comes to UPS practically once a week to ship something, usually a return. The workers here are efficient and friendly. She's usually in and out in less than 5 minutes. One time, the guy even let me drop off a package when I arrived a little past closing. The best local UPS we've ever lived by. read more

They get the job done but not in a friendly way. Three times at this location and same unpleasant service every time.

This is one of the worst UPS stores in the area. Anthony was rude, condescending and lazy. It's obvious he doesn't want to be there. You're better off at the UPS in Laurelwood Shopping Center where they're fast and friendly. read more

Fast and effeciency. the front desk guys are always work fast to accomandate patrons.

The worse UPS store in the area! Take your business somewhere else. The Asian guy with long hair is so rude and condescending!!! He should be better trained at customer service and manners. Staff is disgruntled and they always talk down to the customers. There were some elderly people in line along with me and the front desk person (with long hair) was so abusive in talking to them. It's disappointing. Also, they charge you for putting an inch of tape on package and they insist to pay in cash. Very fishy business. Beware. read more

Horrible customer service. Dishonest employees . Won't assist with shipping questions and won't notarize things. And it smells in there. Don't go here. You'd have a better experience ramming your head through a wall. read more

Horrible customer service. You would think that they will try to help when a transaction has gone wrong. I go in to find out why my package was not delivered when told. We pull up the account and the lady at the counter says it was delivered today. I check with the receiver and says it was not delivered, to then get the tracking number and check at home and it says she put in the wrong address on the label and it is being shipped back. Clearly, she saw that when she looked up the account and did not tell me when I was there in the store. When I asked the other lady for assistance, she basically told me she could not help me that I had to deal with her. There is a reason why there is no line at this store. Both reps can use retraining in customer service and going above and beyond for their customers. Do not use this store. read more

Extremely bad customer service. You would think that they will try to help when their transactions with Amazon generates them more business but the guy at the store couldn't bother to help you succeed with the transaction, he is only there to get paid (he said so) and the woman is just sitting at the counter; doesn't even bother to look up when anyone walks through the door. There is a reason why there is no line at this store. I never bother in writing reviews when they are bad because I never visit them again but really... both reps can use retraining in customer service and going above and beyond to excel. read more

Asian dude w the long hair is rude af. I was trying to explain to him my situation and HE cut ME off telling me to "let him explain before I cut HIM off" Lol barely even let me explain the situation. Anyways I called customer service instead to speak to someone who was way nicer and was actually able to let me explain and actually help me. Dude at the store gave me way different information than customer service too, but probably because he barely let me explain myself so he couldn't even give me the right information. Anyways just go to the other hundreds of UPS stores around if you can help it if you actually want to be helped without any passive aggressiveness. Maybe dude was having a bad day but don't even have to be "nice" just don't be rude. read more

Very terrible experience at this establishment. We had to pick up a package here since we weren't home to get the package. The label said to come to this location. When we came up to the counter and gave her the information, she made it like we were crazy bc UPS would drop the package off tomorrow. The package was not there. We kept telling her that the label said it would be here at 5 PM. It was 5:30ish. She kept fighting us and told us to contact UPS. Uh, aren't you UPS too? But okay... We called UPS on the phone and the lady was very friendly. She said it was signed by Sally at 4:30 PM PST. It should be at the location. Can you guess who Sally was? Yep, the same woman who said the package wasn't there. We got back in line and told her, and surprisingly, she went to the back and grabbed it. Why did you not do that in the beginning? It was there the whole time! TL;DR: Terrible service and a bad reflection on UPS. Go elsewhere if you can. read more

I had to return two items to Amazon. This has always been a breeze in the past: Amazon emails me a label, I print it, hand it and the item over to a UPS Store, and it's as good as done. Not this time. I dropped off the items with the Amazon label and QR code January 26. On Feb. 6, I noticed the items had not reached Amazon. Looking up the tracking numbers, it appeared the packages had never even left this UPS Store. I called the store and was told repeatedly that they didn't know what became of the packages, there was nothing they could do, and I should call UPS's customer service number. If the items I returned don't get to Amazon soon I'll have to pay for them, so I guess I'll spend my Saturday afternoon talking to the UPS 800 number...and never use this location again. read more

All the employees are consistently friendly and helpful at this UPS location. Today, Alex went above and beyond assisting me in having a document notarized and faxed. The fax wouldn't go through at first, and he was patient in allowing me to check the number and contact the receiver to assure that it would go through. I was somewhat stressed, as it was an urgent request and he remained calm, friendly and engaged with me the entire time, while still assisting all the other clients coming and going. Love coming to thus UPS store. read more

First I want to say I have been coming here for years. Always fine Alex very nice! He is professional and nice. Anthony has been good also. In seeing Sally over the years I have noticed she is a bit abrupt with customers. I usually hope I get anyone but her. Today I sent my adult son in to return three items because I didn't want to walk in because of a back injury. He went in and before he went in I had the items stacked in order and the scans numbered 1-2-3. The second one was the one packaged with no labels. The boxes clearly had the product names with the labels. She became impatient with my son telling him it was wrong and unpackaged the one I did and put another one in. (2-square jewelry boxes and 1-rectangular jewelry box). When my son came out he said she unpackaged the one I wrapped and put a different one in and said "read this..read this" to him. By the time he came out to the car for me to drive him to work he was all upset. She treated him badly. I called on my way home and she said he gave me the scans wrong. I said no. She said "have him come back in"...since he is at work I walked back in with my back-brace and a walking stick. She had them all wrong. I showed her..."look your own label has the name that should match with the product name on the box"...she kept saying "well that's how he gave it to me". I said I was in Customer service for over 40 years. It is your job to make sure it is correct..and not make someone feel terrible." Then I told her "you need to have more patience with customers, know your job and not try to make people feel like garbage...my son is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and you started his day off making him feel terrible"....then I left. Now going to do this review I see other negative comments about this lady. I will either go father to another ups store or if I go in there...only be helped by Alex or Anthony. read more

Quality of service needs to be improved, the information provided to the customer is not accurate.

Received a lecture about how I should not select their store as a pickup location. It takes them longer to find the package because they assume the address on the label would be the same as the one on my ID. When I tried to present my perspective of 1) one of the delivery options was to pick it up at a UPS store, 2) this item may or may not be expensive, and 3) I may not be at home at time of delivery, they still insisted that I should get the package delivered to my address and if I'm not at home, the delivery person will take the package to their store. Then I was dismissed. This doesn't match my experience where I normally find UPS packages left at my door. This unnecessary conversation soured the entire pick up. Otherwise, the line was short, I was helped quickly, and they found my packages relatively quickly. If there was no conversation, I would have had a very nice experience. Also, there was a second worker talking very loudly on their phone the entire time. This made it harder to listen to the lecture. read more

Wow, I can't believe all the bad reviews this store is getting. I have been thinking to myself how happy I am to have chosen this store to open our private mailbox because I have been super pleased with their service the last year. I come once a week to get my mail, every few weeks I return an Amazon item or a few at a time. They are always fast and efficient, friendly enough (sometimes not really friendly but cordial, sometimes really nice with a smile), always pick up the phone when I call. None of my return shipments have even been lost and I always get a receipt when I ask. My favorite part - I hardly ever have to wait in line! There's always 2 - 3 ppl staffed there at once which means the line is short. There is easy free parking too. I love it! I used to drop off returns at the UPS downtown and would always underestimate the parking meter time I needed because the line would be ridiculously long and I'd freak out about getting a ticket. My favorite part really is being able to drop by super quickly and get my business done in a couple of minutes. read more
