PostalAnnex+ in Redwood Shores is hands down the best! Every time I come in, the team is super kind, straight to the point, and they always get things done on time. Whether it's shipping, notary, or any of their other services, they handle everything quickly and with a smile. The value here is also right on point. You get reliable, professional service without overpaying, which makes it an easy choice compared to other options. It's rare these days to find a place that's both efficient and genuinely friendly, but this location has nailed it. I never feel rushed or upsold--just great service I can count on every single time. If you're in the area and need reliable shipping or business services, this is definitely the place to go. read more

They provide great service and are friendly and efficient. They offer a wide variety of services without going to the main post office. Been going here for years and always get treated with respect. Great small business. read more

We've been using Postal Annex for almost ten years, and have never had a single problem with them. They are always courteous, efficient, friendly, and on point. Even if we were not Redwood Shores residents, they'd be our preferred shipping station. Very surprised to see the negative reviews! read more

This is probably the wrost UPS store in our area. THey are not friendly at all and they seem to be unhappy with they job. When you sent out a package, they would not give a receipt. When asked they wanted you to scan the shipping label, he was unhappy to walk to got the receipt. This is not the first time it happened. Now I am using UPS store in Belmount and Forster City. read more

Shady activities going on here. I went here to drop off a prepaid box with an expensive device to return to the manufacturer and the manufacturer informed me the box returned empty. I asked the person at the desk for a scan receipt when I dropped it off, but he would not give me one and basically dismissed me. I would avoid this place if you want to securely send something. read more

I have lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years and have been coming to the store. There were two main guys who used to manage the store. Now the one guy that is still there - Steve is extremely rude. Has an attitude problem and does not care about customers. I have heard from many community members that he is dismissive of customers. I would not recommend this store anymore. It is better to go to OfficeDepot where it might take a few minutes but the experience is a bit more pleasant read more

I had the worst customer interaction with the South Asian looking lady with long hair (not sure how else to ID this person) today. I dropped a package in the Redwood Shores location more than 10 days ago and it hasn't showed up in UPS tracking yet. I called UPS and the store prior and no one knows where the package is. The store claimed the box had been picked up and it isn't there. Fast forward to this afternoon, I dropped by the store to see if I can file a claim (following the instructions on the UPS website since I dropped it off there). While waiting in line I looked around to see if the box I had dropped off was still there. After I got to the front of the line, I explained my situation to a male employee but this girl kept interrupting me, telling me I had to take it up to UPS, and "we are very familiar with the situation" before I could finish explaining or even show them my tracking number. The worst part was she said I looked suspicious because I was looking at their boxes while standing in place waiting in line. Lady, this is not how you talk customers and again don't talk to them like they are stupid. I am never going back to this location. Drop off any package AT YOUR OWN RISK because they just tell you to leave it at the table. There's no scan and no receipt, no record of you dropping it off. If your package is lost like mine hopefully you won't run into someone like this person. read more

Rude owner. Very condescending Read the reviews about missing packages and deliveries.

Wow - One of the girls working there is seriously rude. I asked her for a way bill pouch because my package was returned due to missing paperwork and I was just a bit worried it would happen again. I only wanted to attached the docs. Really not sure how such a simple request could turn into an argument. Never going back there again. read more

I drop off a DHL package and asked for a receipt as a proof, but the clerk told me to just take a photo of the mail label. This is not helping with the proof because I already have the tracking number. They don't even scan it there and then. People working they are unfriendly. Unfortunately they are conveniently located; otherwise, no one will frequent their business. I sincerely hope another business owner will buy the store and make it more consumer friendly. read more

Very convenient to have this place accept all types of mail like USPS , I can just drop off return packages on the counter. Easy parking in the plaza. Very accessible. read more

Good location ,Good service, very fast and friendly. Must recommend this postal annex

Over 10 years.... Excellent service. I recommend them to my friends and clients. I have been saved a number of times by them when I needed things to go smoothly and fast to meet deadlines..... I get good explanations of what I don't understance and given the options that fit my situation, (in person or over the phone). I've moved a number of times... but I keep my mail going there. Fingerprinting, faxing, duplicat keys, gift wrapping, shipping products. If you want to see how a business should treat customers, it's the place to go. Ben, Esquire read more

Great service. Quick, efficient staff. Far better experience than FedEx, UPS stores.

I have been a customer of this store for almost 20 years. I just went in to send something FedEx and was shocked by the price. I ended up leaving without sending my package and went to the Federal Express office directly. The price was a third of the cost quoted at Postal Annex. This amount to more than a $300 difference read more

Quick, friendly and reasonably priced services- I've used them often for packaging, delivery and also notary services.

Till some time ago, it was a good service. A couple of guys were employed there; they only had a few words but were efficient and doing their job. Sometimes, they spared a smile, but it was okay and a convenient location. Then, something changed. I saw new employees, especially a girl, have rude attitudes, rough approaches, insulting words, and low quality of service. Unprofessional and disrespectful, I can't repeat here which word I have been addressed with while leaving the place. This place is off my list of services in the area, I post now so others don't fall into the same issues. read more

Just walked into this store trying to drop off a package. There were a few people ahead of me. The only employee in the store was brazenly not wearing a mask. Not like: she had a mask but it didn't cover her nose. No mask was anywhere in sight. It actually took me a minute to realize what was happening. There was a family with a small child, and then an older customer. And nothing. No mask was worn by the rep and for good measure the door to the store was closed to eliminate ventilation. This is not only illegal in California but also irresponsible as we are in the middle of a surge. Hopefully this store will get fined and the employee fired. read more

This place is super convenient because of it's location... however, OMG, the stoic brunette male staffer (owner?) is always so unfriendly. There is zero customer service. Now, I only going there when I absolutely have to because of it's location. Also... he NEVER wore a mask throughout the pandemic!!!! Even when the County & State required it!!! So selfish and uncaring. Can someone new please franchise this business? I'm sure it would get A LOT more business. read more

It is a long story about how I needed to send a package to Australia but, to summarize, I found the employees of this store to not only be rude, but also incompetent. Upon arrival into the store, the person who was identified as the owner was rude, gruff, and dismissive with me. This was before I even started speaking about wanting to send my package to Australia. (I should have walked out at this point). I went ahead and sent the box with them, but it was later returned due to a lack of information on the slip which they filled out. I then needed to expedite the package, so I took the package and dealt directly with DHL and got it sent for about 1/3 of the price I paid the annex. The annex refused a refund so my CC company had to get involved. The reason why I write and will never go back is their extremely poor customer service. I found this behavior appalling and will never use the services of this store again. read more

Before the pandemic, I only came here once, and it seemed fine. However, now I come every other week or so. Now, I can't imagine not coming here in the future. I send out packages to my family. Sometimes I need extra stamps. Occasionally, I'll need to send a return through Fedex or USPS. Lately, I've needed extra boxes and envelops. They've had everything I've needed, but most importantly, the guys here are super helpful and friendly. read more

Needed passport photos. Such a convenient location right next to Nob Hill Grocery store in Redwood Shores. Staff was efficient and friendly. Knew what he was doing from the start. First I appreciate that they take everything- USPS, UPS, fed ex etc. This makes online returns much faster /easier. The employees have always been friendly, polite and helpful. The only negatives for me are limited weekend hours which isn't a criticism of the business- more about convenience for me since I work long hours during the week. read more

So grateful for this gem of a store right in the neighborhood for all of my shipping needs. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I visited this location last month and after giving some thought, I'm writing to warn others about the unpleasant male employee and the untrustworthy practices of this location. Please beware as the male employee will answers only with sarcastic remarks when asking perfectly reasonable questions. He does not care to provide service. He will instead try to belittle the customer with his remarks. The sarcastic remarks without an actual resolution to the issue makes him come across as someone who thinks more highly of himself than he actually is. It's unfortunate that they continue to employ him as it seems a theme within many of the reviewers posted. In terms of untrustworthy practice, this is not a safe location to leave your packages. When you enter the store there are boxes spilling onto the floor near the front entrance. Boxes left out by front of store attract thieves and it cannot be trusted not to be walked off with. Employees will not bring your package to be secured to the back where it is not visible to thieves. Instead customers are advised to leave the package on the counter top at the entrance. Add to this, the store will not provide a receipt for a prepaid package dropped off (very questionable practice overall.) There are plenty of other friendly and helpful shipping providers who will securely store your package away from eyes and provide a receipt promptly. read more

I have Always had a positive experience every time i need to come here. They seem to always be available for my notary or fingerprinting needs. These guys offer concierge service in the shipping industry-- a thankless field where everyone complains about everything. I have been here at least twenty times and these guys are the only franchise shipping store I would entrust my shipments to. Well worth the drive from San Mateo when I have important things that must be packed properly and carefully, and/or are irreplaceable. I will never set foot in the UPS Store again as long as this establishment exists. read more

These folks are my life saver. With the pandemic, I've had lots of packages to mail out and in the beginning, it was an adjustment getting to know the process of sending out large packages, type of service, and I have slight hearing loss. So it was difficult for me to understand what they were saying. Because I have so many packages, it's helpful that I can just send them a list so that they can type my labels and have them ready for me to pick up or slap on when I bring my packages. It's a lot easier than going to the post office where they weigh, measure and start telling me all the different/adidtional costs things will be once I pass a certain measurement. With postal annex, they type my labels, weight my packages, and I just drop them off. Sure you pay a little extra, but you get the best service! They have definitely made my life easier and I'm so glad they are there for me! read more

The son yelled at me, told me to get out and that I didn't know what I was talking about. They are apparently unaware of the new FedEx/USPS or UPS/USPS joint shipping ventures and told me I was totally wrong when I explained this. It says USPS on the label but it's a FedEx drop off. If you take it to the Post Office yourself it will not work. He kept saying that they've been "doing this for nine years". Yeah, but USPS hasn't been broke and casting about for cash for the last nine years. Maybe not all of your customers are idiots, yanno? You might want to learn how to take these labels! I'm annoyed that I have to find somewhere else to go, because this was convenient. The father just watched his son demonstrate horrid customer service, so...ok, then. Off I go. read more

This place consistently serves up the suck. I completely, 100% agree with Brian and Michael's reviews. This place is a total scam. I have been there three times. Three times I have not shipped anything with them. Why? No clue. "Oh, that quote you got from the USPS website? Yeah, that's not accurate. Here, use FedEx and pay 3x the price!" -- That is pretty much what it has boiled down to each time I come there. The latest time was today - I went there to ship something internationally. They immediately give me the stink eye about how you can't ship certain things to places and hand me a sheet with stuff on there about not being able to ship certain things to places. Great. Then I say "I'd like to ship this USPS and I got a quote for $40 online." In response I get "that's not an accurate quote. FedEx is the best way to get it there." "Umm... OK... how much?" "$140" "Thanks, I'll see you later." As I'm walking out with the print out about not being able to ship certain things to certain places the guy behind the counter runs out yelling "stop! you have my paper!!" as if it were gold plated and not a $0.01 copy he made. Ugh. Get a life. I went to a local post office and guess what? I paid $40 to ship my item with no questions asked. read more

I've been to the Postal Annex in Redwood Shores several times now. I work in the area and found out about this place when a coworker wanted to drop off some mail at this location. Ever since then, I've been handling all of my mail/shipping needs here. As others have mentioned, the prices may be a little higher here, however, it saves me from having to go to the local post office which I hate having to do. John has assisted me on each of my visits here and has been very friendly and helpful. read more

I have gone to this place twice and both times were a bust. The first time, I needed to print out a document. Well to print there you have to first email the document to postal annex, which I did. I then stood around for ten minutes waiting for the email to arrive only to be told that they could not open the attachment. A total waste of time. The next visit was even worse. I needed to drop off a package to be picked up by UPS. I called ahead of time to make sure they accepted UPS packages for drop off. When I arrived there were two customers already there, both of whom were being served by the two people working there. I waited ten minutes for the postal annex employees to complete the seemingly simple tasks of completing fed ex envelope shipments. When it was finally my turn to receive service, I asked to leave the package for UPS pick up. I then asked for a receipt for the drop off. The counter person said they don't give receipts. I asked why and he became somewhat belligerent and advised me that if I wanted a receipt I could take my package to UPS, and that they were not obligated to accept UPS drop offs. I was taken aback by his attitude. Needless to say, I will never go in that place again. read more

This review will be short and sweet. I'm new to the city and with the holidays among us...was I desperate need of an easy, fast postal option. I found that in Postal Annex. They give you the prices for UPS, Fedex and USPS...which is very helpful with finding the best price. Two thumbs up for service! Quick, friendly and just all around pleasant. They also have a good variety of boxes, cards and other mailing accessories you might need. Overall...I highly recommend Postal Annex for all of your shipping needs! read more

What is up with all the bad reviews? The owner and his son (I think) always give me outstanding service. I've sent things via FedX through them a couple of times, and they were quick and thorough. I've dropped off postage-paid UPS shipments for pickup dozens of times, and they always accept my packages with a smile. Great merchants for the Nob Hill/RWS shopping center. And to the racist entry I saw, they speak perfect English. Maybe you need to practice your listening skills. You also might want to learn the rules of correct ENGLISH punctuation. read more
