In processing a return, I accepted the advice of the seller to use FedEx as it is cheaper (my mistake). I dropped off the package (Haven Ave Menlo Park FedEx) and it was inspected and labeled by FedEx staff. Several days later the package is back at my front door. No explanation by FedEx. I then spend more of my time going back to FedEx (El Camino Redwood City) to have it sent a second time. The employee first states that he can take the item, but won't be able to give me a receipt. The item is $800. I explain to him that this is not acceptable. He says there's nothing he can do. What? I remind him that FedEx created this problem and it's their responsibility to fix it. For whatever reason, he can't even find my original drop-off in the system. He keeps asking me for details about the drop-off. The whole point of a delivery system is that THEY keep track of this stuff. All they should need is the Tracking # / label (which I had provided). After waiting for 30 minutes while the employee is contacting the Menlo Park office, they finally find it in the system. Despite this, he returns to say that he can't process this in the RWC office. I then ask that I be refunded for the shipment as they did not fulfill their end (and wasted my time on top of it). He tells me he can't do that either and that I need to call customer service. FedEx is just incompetence on top of incompetence. STAY AWAY FROM FEDEX AND USE UPS INSTEAD!!!

She told me I would have to wait 3 hours for my order--before she even knew what my order was! Told me they didn't have the right color paper I wanted, but when I asked her to look for it, funny thing, it was right there. When I asked her if I could do the copying myself, she said, sure, but I have to charge you (A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY) just for the paper and then you pay for the copies. I told her this was not what I used to get at Kinkos. She said, this isn't Kinkos anymore. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. I said, I'm about to do that, because it doesn't even seem like Fedex any more. So I left and went down the street to Staples, where funny thing--the woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. She was able to do the job fairly quickly. They had all kinds of color paper choices available, that didn't cost extra. And guess what--she got the job done very quickly AT ABOUT 25% OF WHAT FEDEX WANTED TO CHARGE! My advice: Absolutely positively avoid this Fedex office like the plague. Drive the 2 blocks south and let the nice folks at Staples take care of you properly instead. p.s.
