This is the Burlingame distribution center and also the people who investigate missing packages…read more In the past year I've had two packages that showed "delivered" in the tracking that were never even brought on my property. One was brought by a neighbor a block away who got my package and the other must be floating out in space somewhere as it was never recovered. When you open an investigation by calling the USPS 800 - the people at this facility are supposed to call you back within 3 business days for resolution. Two out of 3 times they don't call you back and if you try to call them directly, the phone rings and rings and rings but no one every picks up and apparently USPS is too cheap to give them any kind of voicemail (not that they would respond if they had one) So you end up calling the 800 again to escalate the case to the consumer affairs dept (in SF) to handle the case. My recommendation - have anything important shipped by Fedex. They're the only company that you can count on.
