t's incredible when you live in a small town and start taking small businesses for granted because they are part of your daily lives. We sure need to tell them how important their role is in making our daily lives much more manageable. Millbrae is a small town, but it has its charm, and this can not be completed without appreciating our downtown small businesses shops. Last week, during my work hours, my printer and fax gave up on me. I have a deadline to send crucial documents. I decided to go to the Fedex Print Center in Millbrae downtown, where I realized how important these businesses are to us. I was very stressed because of the 5 pm deadline. Of course, it was a Friday. On Friday, parking gets challenging after 3 pm, but I found one parking at the FedEx( limited) parking lot. You can always park behind the building, too. I asked for help in sending my documents by email or scanned. The person at the counter was busy, and he pointed me to the front area where the printer machines were, but the other person came and took me to that area and helped me step by step very patiently. I asked his name, and he said oh, I am Aurtoro from San Mateo FedEx location. I am only here today so I can help with, this location. I told Mr. Aurtoro from San Mateo FedEx you had been a fantastic help, and I appreciate your kind smile and professionalism. Aurtoro was very helpful and professional with his knowledge. You've heard of the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld? Well this FedEx location has a Package Nazi! You must have your package in a meticulous box and taped perfectly for her Gestapo inspection or you will have your package REJECTED. But no worries, just bring the same package she rejected ANYWHERE else--UPS, USPS, DHL... Heck, bring it down the road to another FedEx where there isn't a Package Nazi and off it will go without any issue. Seriously what a dumb person to deal with. I even called corporate to report the behavior. FedEx said there's no such policy that requires her personal grade system. I talked to the store manager who pretended to solve the problem. But later the Gestapo lady rejected me again. That's the last straw, never coming back here. I may escalate the issue with corporate. read more

I really like the people at the Millbrae location, but FedEx as a company sent me a very big surprise bill that was undisclosed when I shipped, and I will need to stay away from using them given how misleading the experience felt. I shipped a package that I was told would be $21, paid for it, and then got an invoice for another $83.48 more than a month later. The clerk and their manager both confirmed the $21, so finding out cost is over $100 is quite a shock. Buyer beware. read more

If you have a standard size return you can self-serve here and be done swiftly. Unfortunately, I was returning a pair of boots and the boxes on offer weren't big enough to accomodate the box they arrived in. Thankfully, Natalia was very helpful. I had to pay for the bigger box but she packed it up for me and was so pleasant. I spent about five minutes total in the store and that was fine by me. I absolutely cannot stand having to come to this place. Not only is a customer service extremely slow, but they are just not friendly never helpful. They don't want to do anything and they try their best to ignore customers at all times. There's always several people working behind the counter, but nobody is proactive And everything just takes forever. I literally stood in front of the printer for 22 minutes with nothing printing and the girl that was helping to other people near me did not once asked if I needed help. When I finally asked for help, I mentioned to her that I've been standing there for 22 minutes while she offered the guy next to me help and she responded "I didn't see you". I mean it's just infuriating and laughable at the same time! I want to print a few Appliance manuals and their new email connection system from your phone did not want to connect and kept giving me an error and would not connect and I tried two different ways that the girl told me to try. So then I resorted to trying to use the computer to print the manual but for some reason the price of printing on top of them charging you to connect to their slow Wi-Fi, is about four times the price.!! the employee literally told me that their system is slow.!! It is beyond me. Why a print shops service is slow, it makes absolutely no sense to me. I went into FedEx at 1:50 PM and left out of there at 2:30 and was only able to print one manual out of the eight. Such a waste of time and money! Now I have to drive back home and transfer these PDS to a USB because that's what they recommended and then drive back and waste some more time to try to get these manuals printed. So in total is going to take me about two hours to get eight manuals printed. Maria the assistant manager was especially rude to another customer, an elderly kind man. He was actually here before me and still there when I left. He was just being kind and trying to let her know that one of the papers corner was folded before she put it in the machine and she snapped back "I know what I'm doing". There's a much kinder and professional way to respond to someone who wasn't giving any attitude. She could've said "thank you, I noticed that". FedEx should consider changing their system so it's more user friendly and ACTUALLY WORK. They need to also update their system so it's not so slow. And fire everyone at this location and rehiring. read more

I don't have a problem with the service per sea. I have a problem when they don't weigh the packages and Target, Walmart, eBay, and others dispute it because the weight says 0. My tip is to make sure you have them weigh your packages instead of just scanning them and grabbing them. When they just scan it without weighing it, it'll show up as ZERO for weight like you're sending back an empty box. I had to dispute it several times when I shipped stuff back. read more

Anytime I'm here, they're multitasking to help multiple people at once to keep the line moving and I just really appreciate having a reliable place to help get company shipments out the door and to their destination on time. For all those folks out there who use Canva on a regular basis, being able to print flyers is a breeze when you can order directly from the Canva website for pickup at a local FedEx office. I needed to get some things printed for work, and I placed my order on Monday, and my prints were ready the next day for pickup at this location. I go to a lot of printing shops and the customer service I received here was above and beyond. The man behind the counter was so kinda, answered all my questions, and helped me out at the self-service printer when I got stuck. As someone who doesn't like ordering things online for the most part, FedEx really makes it easy to get things printed in a timely fashion. The partnership between Canva and FedEx is great because the pricing is very reasonable compared to if I brought in my own file and asked for a custom cut and print. This alone saves me so much time and effort. Definitely will be back to have things printed as this location is centrally located in Downtown Millbrae with plenty of free parking around. read more

I had the worst customer service experience today. Had been to many other Fedex Print locations before and was always taken care of. I was the only one in line with 2 people at the registers and still had to wait 5-10 minutes. No one was busy. Clearly frustrated they finally attended to me only to try and charge me almost $70 for printing and binding on small 24 page booklet. Something i had done last week at another fedex location, for only 12 bucks. They didn't care.... Even after showing them proof of what i paid last time for the same thing. One lady guided me to a printer and just left me there, only to get frustrated and walk out because it was not what i was needing. Wont be coming back to this specific Fedex. This is a great location - conveniently located in heart of Millbrae downtown I've done a lot of shipping and used their self-serve copy service as well and have always been satisfied with the great customer service here. I picked up a package from here today and was served by an exceptionally professional and courteous employee. I wish I could remember her name - hispanic, medium length hair, glasses. I had a BIG box to pick up and couldn't find my tracking info on my phone and she really helped me out! The only thing I don't like is the parking. The tiny parking lot only has 2 regular spaces plus a handy cap and they're always full. I mean I understand - when this was a bank that whole parking lot was it's drive thru. Went there to drop off a box with a computer screen in it with a prepaid return label and the lady I dealt with was very rude and wouldn't take the because she said it was too big. She wanted me to take it to another shipping center. I called for a home pick up and the person was very nice and apologized saying the Millbrae store should have definitely taken it. This goes to ALEX who helped me out being races because I'm a Asian. 7/24/20 @10:30am I was sending 4 boxes of important laptops over night He started to being really rude since the beginning. I had to spent over $800 for overnight shipping my valuable 4 laptops to my work business partner I just had to make sure everything is properly done. My home address on my ID is still under my old house(I moved to new place in March literally right before quarantine started) due to covid everything was shut I was not able to get a new ID with current address. I asked him if I can update my shipping address, he says no. I told him if I can pull out my bank, or even car insurance card on my phone which is so legal, even policies were okay using digital insurance card, this person ALEX was being so difficult not to take my shipment unless I have physical Home address on my ID. Every time he scan or check something he will use his one finger and keep spraying things in front of me. I protested black lives matter, but he is totally being races and not trying to help me he was straight up rude. He's not saying it "oh you Asian brought this covid to US but he is showing my action and rude speaking by spraying things being extra cautious, keep cutting off and not listening when I'm physically there like I'm a some type of a bug. I see other lady in the beginning I had to speak before Alex, she was very nice and I see other young man super nice to other customers. Apparently he has been working for FedEx since 2000 just a terrible customer service. I'm middle of work so I had no choice to use their service but I'll not use this place ever again. I came here hoping to get some data from a DVD transferred to a USB. It's simply a copy and paste procedure. I got the DVD from the baby ultrasound place I went to and it's an obsolete technology. Anyways, the guy tells me my images will be distorted if I transfer. Really? I've never heard of that and he then tells me the procedure takes a week to complete bc it'll be done as an order. I went up to the front desk to ask if I could use my own paper when printing, and a friendly and and helpful employee (I believe her name is Karen?) brought me to a machine and showed me what to do. The printer didn't read my paper later on, and Jonathan helped me get it to work. The one star off is because I feel that the printing per page prices are pretty high, but otherwise I had a good experience and the staff was great. read more

All the employees are very personable, competent & will help you any way possible. Huge shoutout to all the employees here, you are doing a great job. FYI Airline employees, this local Fedex branch rarely honors discounts for airline employees, the FedEx employee s will acknowledge the discount then won't apply it to your transaction, in a sense they will lie to your face. I visited another FedEx office on 900 Gateway Blvd in SSF they will honor the airline discount with no problems, however be aware of the Millbrae FedEx office on Broadway and a high turnover of employees I rarely seen the same person, I've done international priority shipments and local CA shipments you have to watch yourselves and make sure you don't get rip off, why they don't honor the discounts is beyond me. read more

Guys let me stand in their line for 15 minutes then told me when I got to the counter that express had already left for the day - 15 minutes ago. Not to mention, it's December 21 and you could logically assume that people are trying to send gifts in time to get somewhere for Christmas. So, now the system will only let them sell amazingly expensive 2-day air or you have to drive to South San Francisco. Avoid this place as they're jerks. read more

A coworker of ours moved to London suddenly and left behind just about everything that she didn't want to take with her, including a set of golf clubs. I decided, after numerous years of asking what to do with said clubs, to send them to her. Now, I was preparing to purchase packing materials, bubble wrap and a box big enough and odd sized enough for the task. THEN, I saw this lovely commercial for Fedex Office during the football game. They said "bring us your tough to ship items and let us do the work for you" and a shiny light bulb went off in my melon. I suspect Fedex spent a pretty penny for that commercial in a prime time slot and I can say they got me. Is it possible I am the only guy who saw the commercial and headed to the store? Possibly, but I've been informed that I am not that unique. I took the clubs to this location and the agent helped me cross this task off the to do list and it was painless. I am not sure if I will ever desire to have items printed here, but the next time I need to ship an awkward item overseas, I will return. read more

The most disorganized and understaffed location I've ever been forced to use. Went in to get a business card laminated into a luggage tag. Found no luggage tags. Waited in line, but that's being generous. It was more of a mob of people milling around looking for someone to help them. After waiting was told they were out. After using a much smaller laminated, instead of walking off and not paying like others were doing, I decided to pay. Was directed to one line . Then after waiting 10 min with no one in line. I was told to go to the line I was just in. Instead of waiting anymore, left $2.00 on the counter and walked out. So I spent over 30 mins on a $1.49 purchase. Will never use another FedEx brick and mortar again. There just too many other options. read more

I usually don't go to fedex and after my experience I will make sure not to use their services at this location again. On 8/17/22 @1530. I opted to use a fedex drop off with the mobile return code that I can use to drop off my return -- no printing necessary. The lady who was helping me did not know why the automated system could not scan my QR code. She tried to scan at a register and said she couldn't boot up their system. She then told me to email the label to their system. She did not tell me before hand that their would be a charge I specifically chose the scan no printing option for a reason. She then went to help another customer without finishing helping with me. I HS to wait around to have my label taped to my box. The guy with the ponytail was rude when I brought up the issues of being charged. He did not offer help in anyway. I will stick with UPS. Even USPS workers are more helpful and friendly. read more
