Wow, what a surprise. I have been wanting to go to this little local neighborhood Margarita place but I did not expect how good it was! I figured they must have good Margaritas if they are gonna highlight it in the name but truly the food is fantastic! Great flavors, great ingredients and a really fresh menu! Walked in the place and it was crowded on a Friday night..thats a good sign! They have a great little patio with a fireplace and lots of seating inside with an indoor/outdoor bar layout! Its a cool casual vibe and the customer service is A# even on a busy night! We will definitely be coming back to this great spot! Great service McKenzie! We decided to go to the Urban Margarita for my favorite, the Hatch Green Chile Enchiladas, previously having tried them stuffed with chicken and they were amazing! So, this evening I again, ordered the Hatch Green Chile Enchiladas with the carnitas. Again, they were amazing. The only down side, is that the plate came out unwiped, dirty plate edges with drops of sauce dabbled upon, not in an artistic way. Just messy. If there is one thing a restauranteur knows, that is to wipe the plates clean before presenting. With that being said, The 4 Dip and Chips that was ordered were amazing. There were black beans, queso, salsa, and quacamole. All were seasoned amazingly. The chips? They had crunch yet, melted in your mouth - had to stop myself from eating them all. As well, we ordered the Shrimp Salad. The greens were fresh, the shrimp were abundant, and the dressing was amazingly flavored. I am giving them four stars, not five due to the unwiped plate. This place is tasty. Service is friendly and attentive. Great neighborhood gem and I'm happy to see it so packed on a random week night. I believe it changed ownership, since it used to be Urban Margarita. The taste of the food changed and the burrito had a LOT of rice as filler instear of meat. We didn't like the food as much, but we still go for chips and salsa with margs for date night. We eat dinner elsewhere. read more

I hadn't been here in a few years. We decided to come in tonight and it did not disappoint. It was beyond amazing. The service and entire staff and other patrons were so friendly. The food was awesome! I had this weekend's special, the crab and lobster enchiladas. The seafood, sauce and tortillas were so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had the chicken stuffed poblanos. The combination of the seasoned chicken, perfectly toasted pepper and queso and pico were phenomenal. The manager Mario checked on us. As did the owner, David. David brought us our dessert , Caramel Apple Brioche Bread Pudding. It was to die for! Mackenzie was our bartender and served us amazing margaritas. My wife and I have visited this restaurant twice, but only eaten once. The first was a pick up order and the food was fantastic. Large but not ridiculous sized portions, and some very unique selections that was hard to choose between. The second visit, we left without even ordering because the waitress forgot about us. I even went in and asked for the waitress, and the waitress went right to a different table to see to other customers. They were at 2/3 capacity and it was 7:30pm, so well past the typical Friday night dinner rush. So we left and ordered food from the nearby sushi restaurant (which oddly plays great club music). Urban Margarita has been on my list of Mexican food to try in the valley and mainly bc i have a huge love for Mexican food and i can walk here since it's so close to my house. Tonight my husband and I came in FINALLY!!!! I'm a little surprised that it was crazy busy since it's Friday and it's well dinner time. We don't drink so sorry can't tell you about the alcohol beverages. I can tell you the food is pretty good only thing lacking was salt but whatever I can get over that. Apps we got chips and salsa along with a cheese crisp. The crisp comes with 5 little dipping sauces. For our main entrees I had the garlic shrimp tostadas it came with Mexican corn and rice. That Mexican corn was good it had a nice smoky taste to it. my husband had the mix 3 tacos(2 carne asada one pollo) with rice and beans. Really happy to give this place a try! Stumbled upon it on Yelp when I was looking for a good margarita place. Came in with my boyfriend on a Saturday night and there was no wait which was surprising! Our hostess was super kind and showed us our table quickly. We got seated and our server Lauren came over who was also very kind and fast. We got the house margarita and prickly pear margarita. I liked the house but I think I'll try the prickly pear next! We ordered our food next. A cheese crisp for an appetizer and for entree's, I got the green hatch enchiladas and boyfriend got carne asada street tacos. Our entree's were absolutely amazing and I'm already missing the enchilada lol! We liked the cheese crisp but, it came with 4 different sauces. 3 of them were very good and the last one I think was either orange chicken sauce or sweet & sour... it was very strange and we didn't eat that one Overall, we had a great experience and are super excited to come back! Okay, so I'll try to make a long story short. I was recently in Glendale, AZ, and my friends and I dined out at Urban Agave. We had a marvelous experience, the food and service were both excellent, and so I meant to write a review. But this is where things get interesting. I got back to the hotel that evening and realized that I'd lost my wallet. I was leaving for the airport the next day at noon, and I saw UA opened at 11 am. Not only did they answer the phone at 10 that next morning, but they had my wallet and the manager could not have been nicer and more kind about my stopping by before they opened to retrieve it. I really want to see a restaurant succeed in this space. We have seen a few come and go, but it is not the location, because Oggie's is next door and kills it year after year. My first impression was great. The dining room is clean, modern, and inviting. The bar setup is excellent and we sat there to watch the Sunday night game.. Our bartender was attentive and friendly and the beers on tap were chosen well. We ordered a couple tacos to start. We had a pork carnitas taco and a chicken taco. They are not anywhere close to the quality you would get at places like Taco Guild or Crujiente Tacos. The carnitas taco was very wet pulled pork. The baja sauce lacked heat. The chicken taco was room temp at best. For a $5 taco we would expect better execution and flavor. We finished by sharing the steak fajitas. They came out sizzling and had a proper char. We both wanted more seasoning on the meat. We will visit again and try some other menu options. For the price, the flavor factor needs to improve for us to put Urban Margarita in our rotation. read more

This is an amazing restaurant compared to all of the others in the northwest valley. They are located at 67 and the 101. Our server (Cole) was so amazing making sure that my wife's allergies (celiacs) was taken into consideration. We do not get many places that have great food, service and owners that visit the table. My wife started with street corn as a side and had the grilled garlic shrimp salad. The kitchen and Cole were amazing to make sure a clean surface to make her food. I asked Cole for the 3 taco special but if he would pick out my tacos and not tell me what they were. I got the Pollo Asado, my favorite. They had amazing flavor and I never would have picked chicken. Baja - very good if you like fried and the carne asada (a little dry) try something else. The cilantro rice needs a little more flavor. We order take-out on 5/21/21. We ordered two entrees, and the gal taking the order said it would be an hour. We were fine with that and my husband went to pick up our food in an hour. Our meals were cold! Obviously they had be prepared well before the hour we were told. We enjoyed the favor, but not the cold food. Working on that timing would be appreciated. We order from Pei Wei across the street from you and our meals are hot, so it's not that we live too far away for food to stay at least warm. This was our second experience with your business. The first time was several years ago and we went with friends on a Sunday, early evening so moderately busy. There was a staffing shortage two people seating, taking orders and serving...needless to say everything took quite awhile. Food was ok, whole experience was disappointing. My friends and I met here last night. They didn't have Bud lite or Modelos, but they comped my friend's first beer that they did have so he was happy. Our waitress was new, so we cut her some slack as she was very friendly and tried to be helpful. The place was clean and well appointed, including the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, the sink is very confusing. There's no water spigot, you have to waive your hand in front of a plate on the wall and water spurts out of the plate. Very cool. We had guacamole and salsa and chips and calamari appetizers, they were very good. We also had the Baja shrimp dish, the urban salad, the cheese stacked enchilada and the salmon taco with sides of rice and beans. The shrimp was delicious, and I'm not a big shrimp lover. It was the clear winner. The salmon taco was also good but nothing special. The rest of the food was average. They claim to have Texmex and New Mexican food. I didn't see ANYTHING Texmex so that was disappointing as I'm originally from Texas and love it. To summarize, there are too many good restaurants to come back to something so average. read more
