Stopped by here after a visit to Midwestern University. There was no wait at about 2pm. We were able to place our order and choose where we wanted to sit. The dining area and bathrooms were clean. I ordered one fish and one shrimp taco. The mango salsa on top was good! My kids enjoyed their carne asada burritos. The cinnamon chips they got were good, too! Came here tonight after an event at fletcher park with my husband. I ordered takeout over the phone. It was ready right on time! Cute haha feel in here and it's clean, wasn't busy at all. I ordered the chips, salsa, and queso and a veggie burrito with no sour cream, with black beans and the mango salsa. The burrito was super bland. I don't think they use any spices on their beans or rice. All of the salsa was concentrated on one half of the burrito and I was a little disappointed that we paid extra for it, it was just ok. The chips and salsa were yummy, I had the red salsa. The queso is not bad, not the best I've had but velveeta-y type queso just isn't my fave. Good amount of food, I had plenty of chips left over with salsa and queso. Don't think I'd come again though! read more

They have lunch specials from 11:00am-4:00pm. I don't know if it changes from day to day but when we were there, it was a small burrito, fries, chips & salsa, and a small drink for $9.05. First off, the fries aren't actually fries; they're more like cinnamon chips. My cronies and I all felt that the chips and salsa were horrible. I had a baja quesadilla (I wasn't aware that adding carne asada adds $2.49 to this) and two tacos. It cost $19.24 (includes taxes). The shredded beef tasted stale and dry which made the tacos not that good. The carne asada in the quesadilla was at least good. But overall, my stomach was not happy with my choice of coming here. I have ordered Rumba using Postmates numerous times and the order is ALWAYS wrong. Today I ordered a salad with an extra side of dressing and both dressings that comes with the salad and the extra dressing were not in the order. Who eats a salad without dressing? It is very frustrating as this is a regular occurrence. It is clearly printed on the receipt that is stapled to the bag. I will not be ordering takeout from here anymore. We were sad when the Mesa location closed several years ago, but we're thrilled when we discovered a location in Glendale. Thought it's quite a drive from Mesa, we've enjoyed planning a trip over just to enjoy the awesome meal at one of our favorite places. I love the Rumba Salsa, with the fresh cooked tortilla lining the bowl and filled with fresh, crisp lettuces and choice of meat (I like the pork) and choice of salsas and dressings. You choose items as you watch from across the glass counter as your meal is prepared. Staff is friendly, efficient, and helpful. I've always found the restaurant to be clean and inviting. As I'm writing this, I'm already looking forward to a return visit! For me, it's well worth the trip! read more

My favorite option is the lunch special served daily from 11a-4p. It includes a small burrito, chips & salsa, and cinnamon sugar crisps plus a small drink. I would describe Cafe Rumba as a Chipotle type of place, but much better. They specialize in burritos and burrito bowls and also have other offerings on the menu. I appreciate that the food is always fresh and tastes homemade. In addition the staff is friendly, helpful and make a point of remembering their customers. We're so lucky to have this Baja Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood. The food is consistently good, with very fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked pork, chicken white fish and shrimp. We stopped by mid-afternoon after an appointment in the area. This was our first time here and we chose it because of its close proximity to our appointment location. There is no table service here and the customers must order from the counter. The restaurant was pretty clean with the exception of crushed corn chips and some food scraps on the floor. We ordered the Rumba Tacos served with a choice of sides. First impressions is that all the ingredients were not prepared there, but rather purchased prepackaged ready to serve. This goes from the meats, toppings, sides and tortillas. Their "kitchen" was nothing more than a storage space for all the ingredients. We also found the price of the menu items was pretty high especially if one considers the quality of the food. We have eaten in a lot of Mexican Restaurants over many decades and found this place inferior to nearly them all. Save your money and find a better place to eat. read more
