We have been going to Angelina's way back when they were in the Camelback Rd Indoor Swap meet. When the Swap meet closed, we thought that was the end of Angelina's. A friend told us about the now Angelina's in Olive Ave and 51st Ave. Tony was still the owner, but now its owned by the young adults who worked for Tony(retired). Kevin, Valerie, Vickie(mom) and the other brothers....keep doing what your doing. The friends and family that we recommended to Angelina's loved the food and service. Me personally...I love the Abondigas! But you can't go wrong with whatever you order. Rudy & Lydia read more

Decided to give this place a try Sat 9-19-2026. Was not overly busy but a steady flow of customers did show up while there. We both had the basic frybread that had beans, cheese, Lettice and tomatoes. Fry bread was light and fluffy not to greasy as it can be if not drained. Beans were fantastic and definitely home made. Ample portion for the price, and service was great. Will return to try the other items offered here. read more

The pozole here is super consistent and has become a go-to for me. Every time I order it, it's flavorful, comforting, and hits the spot. You can tell they take pride in keeping the quality the same each visit, which makes it easy to come back. The chips and salsa are always fresh and taste great -- a perfect way to start the meal. It's one of those simple things that makes a difference, and they do it right. The counter service is another big plus. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and just good people, which makes the whole experience even better. This is definitely a place I always look forward to coming back to. read more

Angelina's Fry Bread - Mexican Near Me - Glendale, Arizona

We found this restaurant by accident. We needed to take care of business at the UPS store. And Angelina's was a few doors down in the strip mall. It's a small place, 3 tables were occupied. And there were maybe 2 more tables. It's very clean and the decor is festive. The young man taking our order was very cordial. He explained the menu. They also had lunch plate specials too. Since it is advertise Angelina's Frybread, I had to try it. I chose the frybread with green chile pork which came with Mexican rice lunch special. Mine was half of frybread. Hubby had one taco plate with carne asada, rice and beans lunch special. The presentation, the seasoning was perfect. The fry bread had a light crisp on the outside and soft, pillowy on the inside. I could just eat it plain. Yum! It was the perfect portion for me. The frybread was topped with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. We have finally found a go to Mexican/Frybread restaurant near our home. Yeah! read more

Love this family-owned spot! Super friendly staff, kitschy décor, old-school candy for sale. Fry bread is light as a cloud. My open-faced bread was as big as the plate, topped with creamy beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato. It's simple, fresh perfection. Three different salsa options if you want to jazz it up further- all good, impossible to choose a fave. Horchata is also tasty- just the right amount of sweet. Recommend! read more

I have been here a few times now. It's a little bit pricey for fry bread, but it is excellent! Ordering at the counter, but they will bring you your food, so little tip is at least in order. Is very cafe style?Mostly just a quick eat.Not really much of a place for romance. Very clean very presentable. read more

This place is small but they have good amount of seating. Beware of the hours, double check before your visit. This place is clean, staff is welcoming to explain their menu, and food is good! I got the Combo #10 Taco & Enchilada with refried beans and rice for lunch. It was plenty of tasty food and the free chips they give you are fresh and GOOD! I tried a piece of the fry bread and WOW. read more

Angelen's has a bright, clean appearance. On Saturday afternoon. A few seats were empty at lunchtime. There is no table service. You had to walk up and order. There is no wait staff to tip. My order was the Beans and Cheese Frybread. There was a variation, it included lettuce and tomato. The wait for the food was brief. The bread base tasted like it had been just fried. The beans had flavor, but they did not taste spiced. Generic cheddar topped the Fry Bread. My dining companion got a combination for about $15, which was more than anyone would want to eat in one meal. He appeared to enjoy it. Then took the Tamle home. It was too much. My check started with a $10.30 item and was $12.70 with a drink. The tip was added to my bill without asking me anything. It was $4.23, which was about one-third of the bill for the Fry Bread and the soda. Angelen's should have given that to me. I was the one who placed the order. I answered the call from the kitchen, I walked up to the counter to get the food, then delivered it to the table. I must have done a great job. The tip was most generous: 1/3 of the food's cost. It's too bad they never asked me how much of a tip I would want to leave. If you are a self-service restaurant, and that was, don't expect tips. If you want to raise prices, put them on your menu or tell people there is a surcharge. I wonder if you would be so brave as to tell them there is a 30% surcharge on all food and beverages. read more

First Time Customer Via Uber Eats First Impressions The Best Comfort Food Fusion! Long ago when I heard of fried chicken and waffles, I did not know it existed until I had it. What I love about living in AZ is the fusion of food! Take a hearty comfort food of red menudo full of flavor, onions, cilantro, hominy , spices and tripe (stomach). Now take Native Fry Bread into the mix with honey, powdered sugar and cinnamon. This is my comfort food! I'm not going to wait Saturday or Sunday for menudo. This needs to be available breakfast, lunch and dinner! I would have this everyday!!! Red Menudo- Very tender tripe, full of flavor. Make sure if you have it to go, add all the spices, squeeze out all the lemon wedges, add cilantro and onions. Small fry bread as a side option. Plain Fry Bread- It's so good with honey, powdered sugar and cinnamon. Cheese Nachos- Kinda soggy. It's good. You can heat it in pan. It's the drive from Glendale to Phoenix that got it soggy. Overall I'm in love with this place! I'm so glad they made this combination possible! I'm keeping you guys on my favorites list and will have to come to Glendale in person! For those of you willing to try menudo and fry bread, you'll love it! Make sure you order plain fry bread separate so you savor the sweet goodness. 10 Stars in my book! read more

I'm biased. I've had great fry bread from places in New Mexico and the Arizona/NM border. This place was still pretty good though.

This place is incredible!!!! The fry bread supreme with beans, lettuce tomato cheese with the salsa is heavenly. The shredded beef crunchy taco with salsa poured all over the top. The carne asada is tender with crispy edges - perfection!! The carne fries are in a gravy so delicious!!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Inside the restaurant is simple. They have a cucumber hot sauce that is really good and unique. They give you chips while you wait. I just got the fry bread with beef. They have a lot on the menu I didn't get to try. The portions are big. Pro tip if you get it to-go get the ingredients on the side so the structural integrity of the Frybread does not become compromised. read more

In March 2025 we stopped in and had dinner at Angelina's and had to make a return visit this year before heading over to catch a spring training baseball game. Really really delicious option in the west valley! My husband and I have been to a handful of fry bread places the past couple years but this one was our favorite! This place was clean and had fast service. We got chips to start as they're complimentary. It came with red, green, and cucumber salsa. The cucumber salsa was really unique but I liked it! Hadn't had that before. For my meal I got one cheese enchilada a la carte and the open faced supreme I think it was called? Fry bread with beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, no meat. Got a side of guac as well. My husband just had a fry bread with melted cheese and a side of rice. We both thought our food was delicious! And not overly expensive unlike many other places we've been recently. I love that they have snacks and treats you can buy up front too. Awesome spot, glad we came here! read more

One of my favorite things to eat on a Sunday brunch is menudo. My favorite spot is in El Monte,CA called Antojitos Mi Amor Menuderia. But, I am moving to Glendale,AZ and must say Angelina's not that bad. The broth is fresh, light and tasty, the combination of spices could be a bit richer for me. Too much hominy and not enough tripe, it should balance when serving it in a bowl. The fry bred was too greasy for me, but it was good as a side. The burrito was good, well made for the price. Their homemade salsas are delicious!!! I would definitely recommend this place. Service was friendly. read more

We had this place on our list for the last year and finally we're in the neighborhood! Staff was friendly- the gentleman taking orders at the counter showed us the menu and the specials. While placing our order, we found out they were out of two of the meats we would have gotten, so we ended up just picking other things. The complementary chips and salsa were awesome. The cucumber salsa was unique, different & delicious! Not a huge cucumber fan typically, but I really enjoyed it. The other two salsas were also very good. Nice freshness and heat! Our entrees showed up pretty quick. We got the open faced supreme fry bread with red chili beef and the enchilada style burrito with green chili chicken. The fry bread was amazing. A little light in the meat for $13, but the flavor was great. Would 10/10 return for that. The green chili shredded chicken burrito was pretty bland other than the green chili sauce. The chicken was almost flavorless. The rice and beans served with the burrito were pretty good, I wouldn't hesitate to get them as a side order. We also got a plain fry bread with honey/ powdered sugar / cinnamon sugar. It was a little oily and a touch thin, but great flavor over all. Would order again! The restaurant was clean for the most part. Don't look up- it was pretty dusty up there. A little warm inside, but AC is expensive so I get it. All in all, worth a try. I would come back and try it again read more

I'm on the fence here and I have to say a bit unsure how to rate Angelina's. I've heard quite a bit about this location for a while and so my friend and I decided to stop by today for some dry bread and maybe some food items. I've had plenty of Navajo fry bread etc, but never fry bread from a Mexican restaurant. First impression pulling into the parking lot was a little dismal to be honest. The location site in a very old shopping center and nothing about it really stands out to let you know it's there. The area is pretty meh as well. Once inside we were greeted right away with smiles and offered some menus to sit down so we didn't have to stand and look at the menu above counter. The place is pretty small, but with outdoor seating also available it felt a bit larger for groups and such. The place was clean, but not your typical Mexican restaurant. They had a counter with candy for purchase and decor pretty basic. The menu is not large, but offers some good things. I knew I was ordering the plain fry bread that comes with powdered sugar, honey and cinnamon on the side so you can add as little or as much as you want. I also added a tostada since I'd already eaten quite a large breakfast earlier in the day. My friend ordered the fry bread open face supreme and a chew's crisp as well as another plain fry bread. After ordering I was given chips and salsa. This is where they really lost some points for me personally. It was bowl of over fried chips (too thick) and salsa in bottles. There was no plate to eat off of or anything to pour the salsa on besides trying to pour it directly on to a chip and hope it doesn't spill all over the table. While I liked the green salsa I wasn't a fan of the cucumber one. The red was ok as well, but I prefer green. My other items came out soon after and looked great. The tostada especially. I ordered one with beans and topping only no meat this time. It was crispy, flavor pretty good and great amount of cheese and other toppings. After adding the green salsa it was great. My plain fry bread was flaky and easy to pull apart. The sugar shaker was quite generous so be careful if you like it light. Once I added honey and such I took my first very sticky bite. I was using my hands which I some with cringe at, but hey I prefer to eat them that way. If you don't like to get messy fry with a fork and knife. The flavor was good, but I found that I definitely prefer more Navajo style fry bread options. My friend said she wasn't very impressed with her food and probably wouldn't come back. Her son ate a few pieces of his cheese crisp, but it was quite large. I'm on the fence honestly if I'd come again to try more. It was bad, but I've definitely had better and don't think I'd come out of my way to stop again. read more

Good Food and Friendly Service The restaurant is small but still has enough seating to accommodate its customers. The restraunt is clean, the staff are welcoming, the prices are wallet friendly, and the food is really good. This was our first visit but it won't be our last. Our food came out quick and everything was delicious. On this visit we shared an open faced green chili fry bread taco and horchata. The taco was delicious, golden brown, light, and crispy, and the horchata was sobrefreshing. The taco was large enough to feed 2, and not leave hungry. Angelina's also offers some old-school candies at check out, like Chick o sticks, zotz, and pop-rocks. I had to grab some on my way out.
