The service and ambiance were wonderful! We ordered chips+guac, birria and carne asada tacos, rice+beans, large horchata, and mandarin jarrito. Price came out to around $30. I had to give 4/5 stars because the birria and consomme lacked flavor, the birria had a few fatty chunks in it, the rice was a bit mushy, and the chips were a bit stale. Regardless of these small things, we still enjoyed everything and we will DEFINITELY come back for the guacamole (it was perfect) and we want to try the elotes and chilaquiles!

Birria torta

Food was mid. I had the birria torta, the Sonoran hotdog and the Jamaica. The torta was good even though the birria was really dry and chewy. The Sonoran hot dog was not that great really basic and the Jamaica drink tasted powdered nothing fresh about it. The service was good and the ambiance was clean and relaxed but food wasn't that great. Presentation wasn't that great to be honest nor was the taste in food

So cute, cozy and CLEAN!!! Can't believe it was empty!

What an AMAZING little hidden GEM!!!! I was at the DollarTree and heard Mexican Christmas music and found this amazing little place with a sign for Tamales and I was like, SAY LESS!!!! JUST WOW!!! They were packed with flavorful meat, not soggy, not spicy and perfectly prepared like somebody's damn 98 yr old Abuela was in the making them!!! It was late so they only had Queso and Carnitas Rojo and when I tell yall I'm hard on Mexican food bckz I'm from LA and these were the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD IN ARIZONA.....PLEEEASE BELIEVE IT!!! I walked in and it was clean, smelled amazing and the kind woman greeted me with a cheerful HOLA immediately! I couldn't believe this place was empty, but ordered 2 Tamales. 9/10 for me, only Bckz they were not the best EVER but I will be coming back to support this amazing small business weekly and hope that yall do too!!

Baja Fish Taco

very cute restaurant with authentic Mexicali food. cute photo ops and great salsa stand. tried their Baja Fish taco, it was battered and fried right in front of me. lacking a full 5/5 for the undercooked tortilla it was served on. wish it was crisped up more. took over 15 mins to get my fish taco. luckily wasn't in a rush. overall the flavor was good and had a lot of greens on top that paired well.

I ordered a carne Asada burrito and a taco de cabeza. It was delicious!! So flavorful and tasty. Cute decor throughout menu is great there's definitely something in there for everyone.

Blink and you will pass up this little joya (jewel). Tucked away in a shopping center, this cozy little Mexican restaurant does not disappoint! I had a carne asada torta my first visit and it was amazing!!! Soft warm bread, well seasoned meat and fresh ingredients. Service was great too; polite, informative and quick! I've come back for a third time and although I finally remembered to rate them, my hunger got the best of me, so no food pics. I keep meaning to try something different, but their tortas are so good! They have a saying on their wall; "La Vida Es Rica" (life is delicious) and if you eat here, I wholeheartedly agree!!

Put your name in at reception and you were taken back usually after a small weight. We didn't have to wait yesterday. The servers are really friendly and checked on a frequently refilling hubs soda a few times without him having to ask. Our waitress also brought us an extra bowl of spicy salsa because she saw we had eaten all of it. Just brought us another basket of hot and chips. On our first visit, I got enchiladas and instead of rice and on the side I decided to choose their potatoes. The potatoes are so delicious. I love them, and I will look forward to these again when we return. Today we ordered: - Coke - Diet Coke (no Coke Zero here) - NACHOS GRANDE - Tortilla chips, cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeños. Choose seasoned ground beef, slow-roasted chicken or refried beans, or for an extra dollar, substitute fire-grilled steak or chicken fajita. I chose the chicken fajita protein topping. I ordered this for an entrée, but it would be a really good appetizer for 3 to 6 people. It's almost like cheese crisps, halved, with lots of melted cheese and a small amount of meat on each tortilla half. In the center there are toppings. I enjoyed the pickled jalapeños because they weren't extra hot. This hit my comfort food spot. I wasn't able to eat the whole thing so it was so big, but it was exactly what I was looking for. - THE GRANDE COMBINATION - Beef, chicken, cheese enchiladas, cheese chile relleno, tamale, crispy beef taco, guacamole. This combination is HUGE! Even the plate is grande. Absorbed this, and I think his eyes were larger than his stomach. He filled up on the beans and the rice, the chile relleno, and the taco. He got to take three enchiladas and a tamale for dinner the next night. A very nice tasty plate. Complementary chips and three types of salsa are brought to the table. Of the salsas, one is a red sauce that is mild, one is a pineapple tomatillo, and one is a spicier red salsa. The chips are nice and fresh and thin and brought to the table warm. Men's and women's restroom near the entrance for customers.

The restaurant was about half-full and bustling brightly indoors and on the deep shaded wrap-around patio. Our server, Branden, was one of the best servers we've ever had! Attentive and polite, even reading off the entire menu and describing highlights to hubs, who'd never been before. We were seated immediately at a booth table and brought complimentary chips and salsa. These are good fresh, thin chips and smoky mild-hot tasty salsa. Branden brought us a second round of chips and salsa as well. We ordered: - Coca-Cola fountain drink - Coke Zero fountain drink - SHORT RIB MACHACA ENCHILADAS 5/5 - Highly recommend - caramelized peppers & onions, yellow cheese, ancho chile sauce, cilantro. Served with sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, & choice of beans. Classic enchilada sauce like how I remember, delicious tender shredded marinated short rib inside. - CARNE ASADA FAJITAS 4/5 (sweet soy salsa verde) served with blistered peppers, charred onions, jack cheese, guacamole, salsa fresca, sour cream, choice of beans & tortillas. Hubs said these were good. He did want rice with his meal so he ended up taking my rice which I didn't want. As you can see in the pics, the tortillas are scratch made in-house as well as the sauces and sides. Bar seating, booth and table, and patio seating available. Men's and women's restroom available for customers.

Upon arriving and being greeted we waited an inordinate amount of time to be seated. Chips and salsa were delivered to a large table but we were never told that was our table. So we just went and sat down. Apparently it was our table (?) Strange. We were given menus which were quite worn out, but at least clear enough, and we ordered drinks. Most of us had blended House Margaritas. They came in a beer glass which also was peculiar, but the Margarita was good. The menu leaned toward seafood, which frankly I wouldn't order here. I chose the Carne Asada dinner which came with the usual beans, rice, cheese, large grilled pepper, etc., and I got flour tortillas with it The meat was quite good and the meal as one would expect in this type of Mexican food restaurant. Portions were large. The service was fine. I wouldn't call it overly friendly. Overall the food was good, typical run of the mill fare, yet overall the experience was nothing special. I got the impression they just wanted to close up and go home.

Honestly, the experience and flavors were so amazing, I'm not joking when I say this might be my favorite Mexican restaurant in the US to date. My wife had the carne asada and it was an actual thick and juicy steak cut into pieces. Usually you get a flat steak but this one was something else. We went again later in the trip and she ordered this again because it was just too good not to. I ordered different things on the two occasions. I'm writing this about two weeks later so my memory is failing me but I remember just absolutely loving it. On my second visit I had the Pollo Fundito.
