Was craving beef noodle soup and had been meaning to try this place out…read more The service was pretty fast and there were a couple of noodle options available; the staff recommended the stretchy thick ones which they make in house. The soup was flavourful and I really enjoyed the wonton inside + the tender beef. The one that I definitely would recommend would be the lamb skewers!! It had some kind of dry rub on it to make it crispy and came with some savoury onions which reminded me of something you'd get on a Japadog. It was around $30 for the appetizer and main, and both dishes were very well done. (I haven't tried many Taiwanese beef noodle places but would recommend this one!)

The broth was super light and flavourful, the combination of clear and hand pulled wide noodles was very nice, providing different texture to the meal. The meat was cooked nicely, removing that gamey taste most people don't like with lamb. I added a Wintermelon Lemon Tea and that was the perfect compliment to the meal. The restaurant was small, but felt cozy and was also clean. The servers were very polite. So all in all, the ambiance was very good. Parking can be a bit difficult in this small plaza though, depending on the time of day, but there is ample parking on the curbside if you're willing to walk.

You'd barely even notice this place unless you knew it was already there. There was a line up at 1pm outside the door when we left. We got in just in time when there was no line, and there was seating available. It was clean and had ample seating space for a small restaurant. We were seated and served promptly. The food portions were pretty large. We ordered a wonton soup, the T2 and the oyster pancake. The T2 was huge and definitely shareable, and the oyster pancake was delicious and definitely a good reason to come back. We were full when we left, and we had plenty to take home by the time we were done. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back in the future, especially for that oyster pancake.

Not sure why that's not an option. Definitely a missed opportunity for the business imho. Oh... and the kimchi was a bit weird with the fact that it's overly sweet. Overall, good value and good food. I also loved that they used dark meat, which made it even more flavorful and juicy. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the beef was tender, and the dish was very satisfying overall. My only suggestion would be for the broth to have a bit more depth and boldness in flavor. The pork soup dumplings were excellent. The wrappers were thin and delicate yet held together perfectly, and each dumpling was packed with a generous amount of rich, flavorful broth. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.

Reading the reviews…read morebefore hand I kinda of was expecting a wait; but there was no such thing as I got seated pretty promptly. They have rice and noodle options as well as a dim sum section on the menu. I ordered 3 items, A12 the beef noodle soup with beef, tripe, tendon, and thick noodles. The popcorn chicken and the beef pancake. I like the option that you get to choose the type of noodle. The noodles were nice and al dente and had a good ratio of all the type of meats in the soup. What I didn't really like about the dish was that the beef flavour was on the lighter side (had more of a vinegary taste) was quite subtle and if you like more veggies; your only getting one piece of bok choy. The popcorn chicken was good; juicy, nicely seasoned, and crispy. What I didn't like was the beef pancake. I should have listened to the reviews, but as usual; I had to form my own opinions. The beef pancake was full of sliced cucumbers, and barely had any meat; just a single slice of beef. I was shocked that the ratios were so off on this beef pancake. It was like 20% pancake, 75 % cucumbers and 5% meat. Definitely would not order this item again. Service was attentive, they had 3 waiters waiting around; and came pretty often (about every 5 minutes) to fill up your water. Overall, a decent experience. I'd come back again, but definitely would avoid the beef pancake. An upside is that they also take credit card, without an added fee Parking was very easy to find. You can either park on the street for 2 hours or there is a parking lot in the back. You'd have to register your plate if you want to park in the back, but my server was pretty adamant about getting that info when I first sat down.

We both ordered their signature beef and tendon soup with the default noodles which had a great texture. I added the spicy sauce to mine, and yup, it's very spicy (!) and delicious. We added extra brisket, but it really wasn't necessary, you get a fair amount already. This was by far the MOST TENDER brisket I have ever eaten anywhere. Wow. The tendon was also unctuous and perfectly braised. We also added extra vegetables, and you just get 3 extra stalks of baby bok choy so not really sure it was worth it. Their pickled cabbage was a nice vinegary cabbage with a touch of sweetness. Really crunchy and refreshing. Everything was very expertly packaged and we received the order within 30 minutes on a rainy Friday night before Xmas.

Vegetarian Three-Cup King Oyster Mushrooms on Rice…read more I've had this dish before and came back for another round. This time, I decided to level up and chose medium spice... a decision my taste buds are still discussing. Ordering is done through a QR code, and you can customize your dish -- with or without ginger, plus your spice level: mild, medium, or hot. The chef was very generous with the sauce and chilis this time. When they say medium, they don't mean "a little kick"... they mean "welcome to the chili party." The dish came with so many chilis that I started wishing there was a little more rice to help balance the heat. Thankfully, the restaurant serves hot tea, which became my superhero in a cup and helped calm down the spice attack. ‍ I clearly underestimated the "medium" spice level -- but spice levels are funny because they really depend on the restaurant. One place's medium is another place's "are you sure you're ready for this?" Still a tasty and flavourful dish, and I'll definitely remember to respect the chilis next time.

We had the popcorn chicken, the stir fried bok choy, the sha cha chao mian with lamb (the anglicized name for this on the menu is "signature ancestral herbal satay with fried noodles), and the noodle soup with beef brisket and tomato. For three people, this was the perfect amount of food for a hearty dinner. Our favorites were definitely the popcorn chicken and the noodle soup. The popcorn chicken was perfectly and delicately fried, SO JUICY on the inside, and seasoned just right with a lovely basil aroma. The noodles were toothsome and swimming in a gorgeous broth with the most tender beef. Stir fried bok choy is pretty standard but definitely a must if you want really any vegetables in this meal. Sha cha chao mian with lamb was good -- lamb was perfectly cooked, very tender. The noodles themselves are nice but the flavor is a bit one dimensional. Service here is really good.
