    Four Seasons Tea

Uno Beef Noodle was a super good last day meal in Canada! We drove from Washington and spent a night, so this was a hearty lunch after a night of drinks. We came in a group of 3 and had to wait about 10-15 minutes to be seated when they just opened at 12 PM. I ordered a Tripe Beef Noodle Soup with the flat noodles and they were delicious! I also got a four seasons tea. It was refreshing and nice to have with my meal. My friends both got a Beef Shank Noodle Soup, which they also enjoyed. If you are looking for a hearty meal while in the Richmond area, this is a must stop!

I went on a Tuesday at 6:30 pm. There were a bunch of empty tables. At around 7 pm, it was full already with some people waiting outside, so I was lucky I went early today! It's also a good idea to make a reservation beforehand to avoid a long wait if going at a busy time. The service was fantastic. We got our dishes pretty quickly. Moreover, I could tell they really cared about the customers. We didn't realize the deep fried chicken was spicy until we got it, and the server was so kind to replace it with one that's not spicy. We really appreciated it. The deep fried chicken was perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the vegetable side dishes that came with the rice combo. I also got the beef shank noodle soup with thick noodles. I loved the texture of the noodles and thought the thick kind went really well with it. The broth was delicious. The price was reasonable. The place and the bathroom were clean. Everything about this place was perfect. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Stopped by here for lunch and it was a delicious experience! I recommend ordering their noodle soups if you come here and maybe stay away from their dim sum items. I shared the pork shumai with my family and it tasted like it was over cooked and one of those frozen ones rather than a fresh one.

Uno Beef Noodle in Blundell Centre is a great spot to check out, especially considering it's only been open for about a year, I think. It was my first time coming here, and the place was very busy they even have a tablet where you put your name and number on a waiting list, which helps keep things organized. I ordered the beef shank beef noodle and chicken nugget combo. The broth had a clean, balanced flavour and wasn't overly salted like at some other places, which I really appreciated. The chicken nuggets were a nice bonus, too. The staff were pretty nice overall, even when there was a mix-up they handled it well. I'll definitely come again. Hopefully next time it won't be quite as busy lol.

This second location has about 40 seats. It's clean and bright although a bit tight. There are enough servers so we need not wait too long. Servers are quick too. This Taiwanese restaurant serves mostly noodle soup and rice plus popular appetizers. Tastes and flavors are a bit weak in my opinion - chicken popcorn not quite marinated, soup not quite seasoned and 滷類 (our appetizer) a bit bland. Portions are huge and price is considerably not too expensive. There are 5 Noodle Choices: 克麵 Thick, 細麵 Thin, 拉麵 Ramen, 冬粉 Vermicelli, 米粉 Rice Noodle

Food: this post would be a guide for solo diner experience, protein in this case is chicken, juicy with the perfect amount of crisp, the noodles are opted without the cucumber shreds, the point being the vegetable are sliced fresh, so it would act as a dilution to the flavor of the sauce Service: always treat everyone like family they really do care about what they produce and adjust based on feedback, lots of room for customization to each it's own Ambiance: clean cozy space, once you come in you forget about the wind and rain howling on the outdoors, clean fixtures with delicious tea to warm up for the delicious food

Uno Beef Noodle is a very well liked classic that I hear of from many friends but somehow I had never really been until today. As this location opened recently, I decided to finally swing by with a friend. We joined the waitlist and waited around 30 minutes for a table. The restaurant is not big but it's well-lit and there is ample seating. I ordered the tripe, tendon, and beef noodle soup. You get a choice between many different types of noodles and I picked one of the most popular thick noodle. When the noodle soup arrived, I was quite impressed with the portion. The soup is very fragrant and savoury, perfect for a cold winters day. There was a good portion of tripe and tendon and some beef. The noodle was so yummy and chewy! I also liked that they had various toppings like cilantro, lettuce, and pickled mustard. I think the prices are also very good ($16-17 for most items) for the amount of food you're getting. There are also different types of soup/dry noodles, rice lunch boxes, appetizers, and dim sum on the menu. Love the variety! I will definitely return for all my Taiwanese food cravings, thank you Uno Beef Noodle!

Finally got to try Uno, a Taiwanese Noodle place, and now closer to home. This is their second location in Richmond. This place is not big but they can cater to a couple of 8s/10s. It's clean, service is super friendly. Food came out pretty fast. It seems like they have a high turnover. We got to try a few of staple Taiwanese dishes: (A3) Spicy Beef Shank Noodle Soup (A6) Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup (A12) Beef, Tendon, Tripe Noodle Soup (D3) Popcorn Chicken with Rice For the noodle soups, you get to pick the type of noodles from Thick, Thin, Ramen, Vermicelli, or Rice Noodles. The beef broth is tasty. The spicy beef broth is also good but the spicy over powers the flavour. The beef shanks are nice and tender. The tendons are soft but just enough chewy. Tripes are delicious as well. And you can't go wrong with Taiwanese popcorn chicken, it's always good.

Hei Hei Rice Roll is legit good, totally recommend, even my daughter too, I thought of her ( since she LOVES rice roll and couldn't make it on this trip with me) while enjoying these roll but when I shared with her the photos and mention that we will go back here with her- she already visited. She said it was so good! Hei Hei Rice Roll is located at the Richmond Public Market, oh wow - this place is really popular, on the 2nd visit I was the first in line then the line wasn't so long but while waiting for our order, the line got super long. I was lucky I didn't wait long in line. Best to arrive early. I am not sure what the secret to the rice roll but Wow, it's so thin, silky, smooth texture with the toppings, so great together. The last 2 times we had rice roll with my daughter at Portland and Seattle- followed per Instagram reels- those did not even compare to these rolls. My first visit I got the combo which is the best deals, starts at $15.50 but depends on what you select for the selection for rice rolls and congee. I got the pork & preserved egg congee, shrimp, mushroom, pork rice roll. The 2nd visit I got the combo again, with liver & preserved egg congee, scallop and shrimp rice rolls, but I got my order wrong for the roll- they missed the shrimp. fyi-I found out that bean sprout, corn, toppings are free! Both combo came out to $17. super cheap! Cash only, they take USD but its the same dollar $ value. I wish they take credit cards, hehe. & the Verdict: Yummy, the congee hits the spot for comfort food, loved how it is cooked and they add peanuts too. Love the packet of sauce for the rice rolls, the umami-ness, so good. Best to eat it hot and fresh! Don't forget to ask for chili sauce, to add that extra spicy kick! For now, I am not sure I'll ever find a spot that is closest to Hei Hei for my congee and rice roll fix until I get to visit Richmond, BC again.

What's appealing here is that their Instagram advertises daily specials so you can get some dishes for a great discount (like 40% off). We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. They ended up honoring the discount. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close. Sure it's fine no big deal, it was a lot of food.

We came at the perfect time since a line formed after we got seated The tea was served in a lovely big pot too, it honestly felt like I was in China again. I'd been wanting to try some Xian specialities: particularly liangpi and paomo. My group shared two liangpi (the classic and the sesame, these were around 8-9 dollars each and you could probably eat one as a meal or share with someone as an appetizer/side), a biang biang noodle in Xian pork vinegar soup as well as a lamb paomo. Both liangpis which are cold chewy noodles were flavourful and had a great texture (I think I'd recommend classic if it's your first time!) What blew me away was the biang biang soup, the pork pieces were generous and the vinegarness of the soup was very unique. The paomo had vermicelli and lots of soaked bread pieces and lamb: much more gentle and lamb flavoured. Overall, portions were huge and the bill came out to around $55 for everything which was more than reasonable! Note that if your bill is under $30, they only take cash and if over, debit is an option but no credit. I'll definitely be back to this spot ‍

I shared the liang pi, biang biang noodles, and a lamb noodle soup. It was a lot of carbs but I think the flavours for each dish were quite different and made the experience very enjoyable. I definitely recommend getting the liang pi and biang biang noodles. The liang pi is perfect for the summer as it's served cold (it's also slightly spicy) with cucumbers. The biang biang noodles had a really delicious sauce and the texture of the noodles made it stand out. It's very wide and had a nice chew (this might become one of my favourite noodle dishes)! The restaurant has a lot of space and can accommodate larger groups as well as individual diners. Service is quick and the staff calls out the order to each other so it's a very lively environment.

We thoroughly enjoyed this meal but it does get quite pricy. The noodles base price is $11 and you need to add a minimal of 2 toppings so the cheapest bowl of noodles would cost $13.50 and will cost more depending on how many toppings you choose. 6 pieces of chicken wings costs $15.
