Not the best place for bubble tea. The selection is not that good and it doesn't taste the best. I also found a bug in my drink today so im really not happy about it. Obviously not the staff's fault but still. read more

Big Orange - Richmond Centre - milk tea with pearls - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Richmond, British Columbia

Bubble tea should be good and I honestly find it hard to believe that anybody can mess it up. I've tried a few flavours here, including their ice cream slushes and real fruit drinks, and they're all good. However, I only gave them 3 stars because I felt that bubble tea should ALWAYS be good unless they hire people with no sense of taste. This chain has very basic bubble teas, with no fancy add-ons (like rainbow stars or mini pearls) so it's tasty enough to buy a drink at when you're craving for bubble tea at Richmond Centre. read more

I went to Richmond Centre today with my friends and decided to get some bubble tea. They have a few variants - fresh fruit, ice cream, black tea, green tea, etc. This store is located in an odd spot near Shopper's Drug Mart. I ordered a Lychee black tea with pearls which was $3.95 ($3.75 + tax). After going to the food court, I saw another bubble tea shop that sold the same drink for 5c less if that matters at all lol. (I'll try that one next time). The tea itself tasted OK. Loses the lychee taste after a few sips. My pearls had good texture, they weren't stuck together, and they were sweet. Nothing really stood out, but it was refreshing and I would definitely get it again if I were in the area. Also the lines are shorter than the place in the food court which is a +. read more

Big Orange - Richmond Centre - Lychee black tea with pearls ($3.75 + tax) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Richmond, British Columbia

Chain store bubble tea. Pretty much sums it up. Large selection of common bubble tea as well as as smoothies and fresh drinks. They have everything you'd look for in bubble tea, but nothing super special. Small booth counter in the mall, not much seating or service. read more

Tried to order a simple Black Tea but the manager kept trying to convince me that I should get it with milk instead (which would add $1 to the bill). She eventually relented, though I should've gotten it with milk. It was WAY too sweet and had almost no tea taste. read more

Big Orange - Richmond Centre - Black Tea (3.57+the ample amount of time spent trying to argue that this is the drink I wanted) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Richmond, British Columbia

Rather than go to Pearl Castle which is a sit down restaurant that serves bubble tea in the mall, I went for the cheaper choice and got a bubble tea at Big Orange. Sometimes you get what you pay for, which in the this case was less than great. I ordered a strawberry watermelon and I watched as they loaded the ice and cheaped out on the fresh fruit. The pearls were.. I can't describe it other than the texture was "off", not chewy. Big Orange was a big disappointment. I had been craving bubble tea for a while...I still am. read more

I was really craving for a refreshing green tea bubble tea and I didn't want to drive out to Pearl Castle or the finer bubble tea places. So, I gave them a try. It's a franchise- type bubble tea stall in the mall. They have a small selection of flavours but it didn't matter as I only wanted green tea. I saw in the menu that they have this ice cream bubble tea drink, maybe I'll give it a taste next time around. If you are desperate for bubble tea in Richmond Centre then give it a go; otherwise drive out to the "real" bubble tea establishments. read more

Big Orange - Richmond Centre - a close up of a glass of soda - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Richmond, British Columbia

Good bubble tea stand! Big Orange is a franchise, sort of a Starbucks of Bubble Teas. Wait times are a bit long, about 5 minutes. They take debit for sure, and I think credit card as well. Lots of selection between various teas/coffee and fresh fruit/slushies/milkshakes. You can choose between a 'flavouring' or real fruit. They will make your drink to order and don't mind special requests such as adding fresh fruit (for a cost), cutting down to half-sugar and or half-pearls. I highly recommend their Green Tea (Ice cream) Milkshake with pearls! read more

When you ask "no sugar" make sure to ask "no water" as well. If you request no sugar in your drink, they put water instead so you can have REALLY GOOD GOD DAMN WATER WITH PEARLS WHICH IS ONLY 5DOLLARS!!!! Well, when costumers ask no sugar in their drinks, utterly do not add sugar and that's it! And it would be just PERFECT. You said costumers often conplain about their drinks after they requesting no sugar. Well, if you stop adding water into their drinks then they won't complain. Simple eh? read more

Sometimes good, sometimes fine, sometimes not so good. Used to be better. Never have pearls or tea made before 11:00am. I don't expect stellar service just a decent drink consistently. The best thing is their loyalty program. Buy 10, get one free. read more

Standard bubbletea spot. My go to is the passion fruit black tea with half pearls and half coconut jelly. Service is meh but the staff are usually quite efficient. It's convenient because it's en route to work for me. read more

Bubble tea is average but that isn't the problem. Lady who seems to be the owner (named Cherry) gave me tons of attitude when I said I didn't want milk tea and I ordered green tea instead. She said it was my fault that I didn't point it out clearly. I then said I could not have milk and she proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay again and that I need to be clearer next time. I've ordered from here many times - same order, and never had a problem. She needs to upgrade her English if she can't understand my speech (English is my first language). All in all, I agree with others. Head to other bubble tea stores in the area. read more

Absolutely horrible! Service was extremely rude. I accidentally picked up another order and the lady freaked out and was very curt with me. (The only reason I did so was because I thought it was my dad's bubble tea order, but it was actually some other girl's who ordered MUCH AFTER my father). I also waited 15 minutes for my drink while 5 people that ordered after I did got their drinks before I did. THEY FORGOT MY DRINK SOMEHOW YET GOT EVERYONE ELSE'S? I DON'T THINK SO.It wasn't even terribly busy. Would it have something to do with the fact that I'm not their "typical customer"... ? you can read that as you will. Never again. There are better places out there, and I suggest you try them, too. I implore you not to give this place any of your money due to the humiliation they made me go through, the curt behavior displayed by the staff, and their overall disorganization that ruined my whole afternoon. Get off your high horse. Treat us all like equals. read more

I've tried many of the other locations (Metrotown, North Van, Downtown, Tsawassen Mills) and this one was different. I've been to this location before as well, and it used to be good for a fresh fruit slush but I'm not sure if they changed management or what happened. We ordered a mango slush and a mango-strawberry slush today. They used to use real mango and strawberry but I think they use a powder or artificial flavour this time. The mango one tasted gross and the lids didn't seal properly so when I shook it up the slush exploded and spilled all over (both cups!) They don't even have napkins there! Won't be going there anymore. read more

Mediocre. Not sure if this smaller set up works for this place but it seemed like the 2 employees were running around and a bit confused. Ordered 2 drinks - mango green tea with coconut jelly and coffee milk tea. No pearls were available because they ran out. Really of that they ran out with over an hour of closing. Taste was just ok. read more

I would give Big Orange less than one star if I could. This place has the worst customer service on the planet. First, the server made me the WRONG order. Then, she refused to correct her mistake and make the honeydew milk tea that I had originally ordered. When she refused do that, I said, at least give me a refund if you can't fix my order. And she refused again, saying that the store policy was "no refunds". That's all fine and dandy. Except that Big Orange was clearly at fault for getting my order wrong in the first place. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience either. The biggest mistake I ever made was giving them another chance. I hope this place shuts down. read more

i just don't get it! i wanted a water melon slush with no sugar added because I can't have sugar. it's simply not putting the syrup which I saw her put for the previous customer but when I asked no sugar she said " I can't do that". i am paying the same price, I just don't want the sugar. so frustrating and disappointing especially on a very hot day! Poor service! read more

I do not recommend this place. Their drinks are watered down. Blend tasting coloured water with no tea favor. Very disappointing. Better off just order from Pearl castle. read more

I always come here to get bubble tea and as a regular, they are sometimes stingy. One time I asked for a glass of water and they wanted to charge me a QUARTER for a cup, and they sell LOTS of these drinks, I'm sure they make enough money to afford those cups! I came here today and ordered a strawberry slush with pearls, add milk. I like that they use fresh fruits for their drinks because some places say it's fresh and they use the flavor powder. I wish they expanded their menu and offered other flavors of tea or juice. They are not always consistent in making their drinks. I order the regular milk tea with pearls many times and it always tastes different. It's not my first choice but for the price it is, it's not too shabby. read more

Perfectly average BBT chain, not a bad option if you're already in the mall and have a craving! For a tiny stall they have quite a large selection of bubble teas, milk teas, fruit slushes, and smoothies. You can get your drink over ice, blended, or hot. Last time I was there I tried the passionfruit lemon green tea with coconut jelly. A bit sweet for my liking, but totally passable. read more

Since there is a pearl castle in the mall, I decided to give this a try. However, I would recommend people to go to pearl castle instead. When I was waiting for my drink there was so many food flies around the fruits section it was pretty gross read more

Worst customer service. I ordered the Bubble Milk Green Tea. The guy taking my order was in training and the girl training him was rudely giggling, flirting and telling him "omg what the f***" at whatever he put in for my order. I paid and waited. When I got my drink there was no bubbles. I said "oh sorry, doesnt this come with bubbles?" the girl responds "you ordered it without bubbles" i corrected her, not rudely, saying i ordered the "bubble milk green tea" (exactly whats listed on their menu), and she gave me a dirty look, snatched the drink back, stabbed it open, dumped ten little tapioca pearls in it, and slammed it on the counter in front of me with another dirty look. I get it, making bubble tea isnt a high paying job, but surely you can hire employees who at least begrudgingly act kindly to customers? read more

While there's lots of other places outside the mall that may be better, this one suffices. I didn't try the bubbles so I can't judge its quality. The vanilla ice cream tastes a bit artificial- but I appreciate the peanut allergy warning. I'm glad they use fresh fruit as some places just use powder. The place is at one end of the mall so plan accordingly. read more

I personally like the bubble green/black tea here a lot and order them 90% of the time I visit but the other 10% is ordering a watermelon slush on those warmer days. I watched them make my slush and they threw in a large portion of ice in ratio to watermelon and when I got my drink it wasn't filled to brim. I complained and the lady told me she would just fill it up with more ice and I wasn't pleased to be paying for a 70% ice drink that wasn't even filled. You get what you pay for, I'd rather go to Pearl Castle or up into the terrace. read more

Waiting time is usually as long as hell for all stores in Richmond Centre. But the best thing is you can get a cup of bubbles for free.

Terrible. I went there this afternoon and the worker messed up my order two times. At the end, I didn't even get what I want. The "bubble tea" I wanted didn't even have any pearls. What a waste of money. read more

The 1 star review is solely based on my visit today. I ordered honey green milk tea and received honeydew milk tea instead. The drink is pastel green so right away I know it wasn't the correct order and told the staff. She insisted that it was honey green milk tea and refused to make me another drink. So I paid around $5 and got a drink that I didn't even order... Bad experience; I do not recommend this place. There are better bubble tea places in the mall. read more

Terrible customer service. Disappointing is an understatement. Extremely poor management of customer complaint. The customer has always a right for a refund due to poor customer service especially when the order has not been served in a timely manner. The staff does not have the right to provoke the customer to complain. In fact, an apology and an explanation would have made a big difference. read more
