    Taro bubble tea
    Ania D.

My biggest suggestion : if you're getting the taro, don't get the full sweetness!! Other than that, nothing spectacular, a pretty basic bubble tea.

30% sugar with light ice two ladies (tapioca + pudding) and three guys (tapioca+ pudding+ grass jelly)!

Came here to get three boba tea with less ice and 30% sugar, they got our orders correctly. The drinks were yummy, my picky hubby actually approves their milk tea!

I got the (buy one get one free) BOGO promo off uber eats and so $7.35 (with pickup) was pretty cheap for 2 bubble teas!! I got the 3Q milk tea and I absolutely loved the drink! It includes sweet potato pearls and regular pearls! it was some of the chewiest pearls I ever tasted! The flavours are a little subtle but you can definitely differentiate between pearls. It is also super refreshing and really glad that I got the drink. I love the milk tea but it was a little too sweet for my taste. I would recommend to get 30% or 50% sweetness. This drink was so good so I would recommend it.

Maybe it was due to the lack of training the employees had but they kept making mistakes on people's orders. Long waits for the drinks along with pretty expensive drinks. The seating area is nice to relax though.

Came for late night bubble tea fix. Open until 11 pm on Thursday night. Very few places open that late in Vancouver. There should be more late places ! This location is newish and was clean. Washrooms spacious and tidy. But they had just cleaned at this hour just before closing. Lots of seating. I ordered the roasted milk tea with pudding. Half sweet and less ice. The tea was a little too creamy for me. Roasted tea was good but I prefer cha time roasted milk tea. I would like to come back and try something else. Great bubble tea chain with potential. See you next time !

[Marine Gateway BBT] Coco's newest location is a solid choice in an area fairly devoid of tasty Bubble Tea options. It's conveniently located across the Marine Gateway station in a small space with table seating for 15 or so. Given the amount of foot traffic in the area, it's not a place I'd go with a group expecting a table to hangout for a while. Coco's got a good reputation as a tea-based BBT retail chain and this new shop doesn't disappoint. Service is quick and efficient. The menu isn't extremely extensive but all the usual options are available. I opted for a traditional lemon black tea while my other half went with the 3 Guys (Milk tea with grass jelly, pudding, and tapioca pearls). Both were good but the latter was definitely tastier (and heavier on the calories and sugar). At over $5 per drink, it's a tad on the pricey side but a small price to pay for quality. (Note: Credit cards are accepted with a 25c surcharge) My only real qualms are the lack of parking in the area (it IS a skytrain station after all), and the fact they're only open till 10pm. Other than that, worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

Another Coco location that has popped up in the Greater Vancouver area. This one located right smack at Cambie and SW Marine Drive corner close to the MC squared condo complex and nearby the Marine Drive Skytrain station. This location is quite tiny... probably the smallest location compared to the other out there. They don't have a lot of space to begin with once you walk in. There is giant concrete pillar a bit in the way so if the line gets long people are out the door. It has very limited seating and only 2 large tables that can accommodate a larger group of people. There is window seating but squishy. I tried out there roasted milk tea which I never tried before and wanted to see how it compared to Chatime's roasted milk tea. The taste is sorta comparable to Chatime's but there is still a distinct taste difference between the two. 30% sugar is what I had gotten, maybe next time ill go 50% to see if there is any similarities between the two. Tried their signature drink 3 guys a while ago and it's not bad! But just alot of toppings! When I had gone it was around 9:30 at night on my Monday so it wasn't too busy and the staff seemed to have gotten the hang of things on what to do, because it's notorious when a new bubble tea place opens it seems like the staff never even got trained before and are just being thrown into the job and learning on the go lol. Parking is non existent here so don't plan on stopping nearby to think you can just hop out and grab a drink... the only street parking is on Cambie which is literally underneath the skytrain but you can only park like literally 5 cars... No help... unless you park on 64th nearby the houses and walk a bit. Convenient for people nearby the area within walking distance and people getting off the Skytrain but not good for parking and people who drive alot.

I was hesitant to try this because Toronto's was just average. But I really like it. I find that milk tea in Vancouver is much more flavourful and rich, whereas Toronto is very diluted. Large milk tea ($4.80) has a nice deep tea flavour, served in a tall skinny cup. Bubbles are a tad hard, could be cooked a minute longer. Would come back.

Horrible Roasted milk tea from the marine drive location taste like burnt cigarettes. Avoid Marine drive location

Horrible service! I specifically said no sugar and the cashier accused me of not saying so. When I received my drink it was incredibly sweet and they gave me such a hard time to remake the drink. Would give 0 stars if I could. Never going back to the coco on marine drive.

Fresh Lemon Black Tea with Pearls and Green Milk Tea with Pudding and Fresh Taro
    Amber A.

The marine gateway location is kept clean, and the service is fast. The fresh lemon black tea was pretty sour even though it was with 100% sugar - which makes me nervous to try it with less sugar... and the Green Milk Tea with Pudding and Fresh Taro has nice chunks of taro and the pudding was nice

drink is pretty good. However (Sep 25, 2020 19:45:55) the female cashier has bad communication with customers. Terrible experience!

Selections are decent. however the menu is very confusing as they have a posted menu online, a digital menu via QR code and some posted menus. Unfortunately the menus were not in sync. My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

This is one of the better boba spots I have tried in Richmond where they have some creative drinks…read moresuch as the ones with panna cotta and mochi. I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
