They specialize in brown sugar pearls and offer both fruit tea and milk tea options. What we really like about it is that you can substitute OAT MILK in any of the drinks, which is great for those with dairy allergies. They are generous with the toppings and the unique flavors are tasty - eg Milo bubble tea. Both times we went took a bit of time because there was only one person taking orders and making the drinks. If service was faster then it will be a solid 5 stars.

Lychee Paradise (50% sugar with Aloe) @baronesscanada I got attracted by this beautiful colorful layers where the blue coloured tea with aloe bits are at the bottom and the yellow lychee green tea on top. You see the green layer between as you know yellow mixing with blue turn to green. Love this drink! Brown Sugar Oat milk boba
    Michele S.

When I read about the Baroness Brown Sugar Oat Milk Boba drink, I put it on my list of must tries for my next Vancouver trip. Baroness is in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver, close to great city beaches and waterfront parks to enjoy your boba drink. When I arrived at Baroness there was a sign on the door that the pearls were sold out and fresh pearls would be ready in 15 minutes. The store was empty so I decided to come back. 15 minutes later, fresh boba and a packed store! The folks behind the counter were a well oiled machine and my 30% sweet, 50% ice drink was ready. The pearls were warm and fresh, and the brown sugar oat milk combo made this the best boba tea I have had to date. They have about 30 drinks to choose from and a boba DIY kit on their website. I am glad I don't live near Baroness or I could see a major habit forming!

Grapefruit Aloe Citrus Green Tea (red) & Lychee Paradise (blue)

My order: The Brown Sugar Oat Milk was really good, and surprisingly not too sweet. I ordered half sweet (as recommended by the staff), but didn't sacrifice the pearls for once. My lactose intolerant body also thanks them for the deliciously thick oat milk. The brown sugar pearls had such a perfectly chewy texture. My favourite bubble tea place for brown sugar milk thus far. Lychee Paradise (blue) was a refreshing lemon-y drink with coconut jelly. Definitely for people that like sour drinks, which I personally enjoy. I didn't taste much lychee though. I can definitely taste the subtle bitterness of tea afterwards, which was good (doesn't just taste like syrup water). Grapefruit Aloe Citrus Green Tea (red) was also on the lemon-y side as well, paired with the tartness of the grapefruit. Aloe provides a great texture to the drink. All drinks were perfect at HALF sweet.

We were craving boba so thought we checked this place out. It's on par with other boba shop and offer quite a variety of drinks. We had the purple yam and taro & oatmilk drinks. The purple yam was very pretty. I like the purple yam more than the taro. The taro was good although I prefer a stronger taro taste. The boba itself was soft and not too chewy. Come check this place out!

infused rose brown sugar oat milk, tripleberry cheese foam

Been so long since we've been here 'cause it was quite far and we missed it sooooo much. Their drinks were still as good as we remembered them and their hospitality still as jovial as ever. The tripleberry cheese foam was very fresh and looked too pretty to drink. We normally avoid eating berries since their small seeds feel very rough and unpleasant but blended up in this form it wasn't bad at all. Great drink to give you a dose of vitamins in the lousy weather. The infused rose brown sugar oat milk was surprisingly good. The aroma of rose was not overpowering and drink was definitely sweet enough to balance the floral essence and the richness of the milk. The more you drank the better the flavour, and it was reminiscent of the Hong Kong Vita brand oat milk flavour, which was nice.

I wanted to try Baroness for a long time. I didn't realize it was in Kits the whole time. I heard about it couple months back. This is another one of those chains from Taiwan. The bubble tea theme here is different from Xing Fu Tang, Yi Fang or Gong Cha. Yes they have brown sugar this and that too. But they specialize in oatmilk. No the oatmilk is not wheat germs (I asked). It is a special kind of milk made out of oats. So I asked what is their specialty drink and they said it is the Thai with Oatmilk or Brown Sugar with Oatmilk. I took her advice and got the Thai with Oatmilk with 30% ice and 30% sugar. It was very delicious. The tea was nice and smooth. It has a really rich flavor. It is somewhat expensive. After tax $7.09. The place was super busy when I showed up. Lots of people coming in and trying their milkteas. They make it fresh on the spot. There are several seats in the bubble tea place but it is still very limited. Most people just grab and go. Service was great here. I highly recommend checking this place out. Not sure how easy it is to find parking.

Thoroughly surprised and impressed! I got the fresh taro milk tea and it was really tasty. Very balanced with the taro flavor and not artificial or overly sweet. I got the taro balls too LOL and it was also pretty delicious.

A small bubble tea place with a cute decor. The menu is not extensive but I am glad they are good a what they offer I like that the menu is a on giant screen on the wall so customers can decide their order while in line We had to Fresh Taro with Oat milk and the Brown Sugar with Oat milk. The fresh taro is pureed but I can still taste fresh pieces of taro, which I like (I've never tried fresh taro milk before) The brown sugar milk was delish. The pearls were just perfect! The oat milk was very smooth in the drinks we had. The ice they use is a slush kind of ice, which is different than other places The staff are very friendly, which is a plus! #BubbleteawithOatMilk

Taro with Oat Milk and Taro Balls (no brown sugar), Hot Thai Tea Oat Milk
    Claudia H.

This was on my list of places to go in Vancouver, and I wish I came here earlier! The drinks are so good!! The staff were all very friendly too. They use real everything for their drinks, so real taro, real chestnuts, etc. My favorites were the Taro Oat Milk with Taro Balls (no sugar) and Black Rice Oat Milk with Taro balls (25% sugar). They taste very homey and comforting. The Chestnut with Oat Milk is also pretty good since you can really taste the blended chestnuts. The Winter Melon Tea with boba tasted like any other Winter Melon Tea but the boba was sweet and chewy!

Checked out Baroness as we were in the area. This visit was early June, so if my memory serves me correctly, we ordered the Milo Brown Sugar + Oat Milk with pearls, Lychee Paradise, and Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with pearls. All the drinks were pretty good. It's too bad that it is quite the trek for me to get here (30+ mins) as I'm in Burnaby, and I'm normally not in West Broadway/Kitsilano area

Their brown sugar drinks are not overly sweet, and the brown sugar pearls are some of the best I've tried!

My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
