Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.

The pudding was delicious, and the crumble added a nice accent, making it a really delightful dessert. It's definitely worth visiting and trying these desserts. This place is my regular bubble tea spot, and I look forward to trying a different menu item on my next visit.

I visited The Alley to try Demon Slayer special drink…read more There are 3 kinds of drinks - Tanjiro Avocado Mochi milk with purple rice, Nezuko Strawberry yogurt with mochi, and zenichi and Inosuke Mango Coconut Mochi milk. We got Strawberry yogurt and Mango coconuts. Strawberry yogurt was delicious. I was actually surprised a lot of mochi inside. Strawberry yogurt was decent and really loved to have it with mochi. Mango coconuts also had a lot of mochi inside. This one is more sweeter than strawberry one. I should adjust less sweetness next time. Still It was good. They also gave out sticker with every drink order. I got Nezuko and Tanjiro. To collect all stickers, I will revisit for sure. And they will offer Demon slayer original goods, I can't wait to get them!
