My go-to spot for bubble tea this summer! Their service is always fast and they have a wide selection of milk tea, green tea and others. I always order their taro milk tea with pudding and half sugar + ice. It is such a refreshing drink! My other go-to drink is their thai iced tea with aloe vera instead of pearls. Have passed by Sharetea on a weekly basis, on my drive to and from work, but never got around to trying it out. Tonight, was in the neighbourhood having dinner at Shiro with a friend and decided to finally check it out. I ordered the large Fresh Milk Tea (Black tea) with pearls with 80% sweet and less ice and my friend got the Oreo shake with pearls. At around $4.80 for a large bubble tea, Sharetea is on par if not slightly below in price with the other international bubble tea chains such as Chatime and Coco. However, I think the milk tea flavours at both Coco and Chatime are much better with a roasted milk tea flavour. Not sure what the difference is between the Regular Milk tea and Fresh Milk tea flavours at Sharetea but the Fresh Milk tea I had tasted like it could be from any generic bubble tea place that charges $3.75 to $4.50 per cup using their powered stuff. I expected Sharetea to taste more like a premium brand but do appreciate that they let you personalize your drink to level of sweetness and ice. Perhaps the other flavours at Sharetea are much better but the Fresh Milk tea I had did not taste fresh but powered and I was disappointed. The pearls were chewy, small, and decent though. With closer and better tasting bubble tea places closer to home (Dragon Ball, L&G, Coco, Chatime, Yee Fang, etc.), don't think I'll be revisiting Sharetea anytime soon. read more

Visited today and got the Handcrafted Taro Fresh Milk with pudding. Honestly I'm a little skeptical of drinks from a large chain that claim to be "handcrafted", but this was actually really good! It's blended with ice but not as much as you'd get in a slush, so it has a consistency in between a slush and normal tea/drink, which makes it unique from other fresh taro drinks I've tried. The flavour of the fresh taro was very strong even though I got it unsweetened. Pudding went well with the drink in both taste and texture - it didn't have a super strong flavour but it certainly wasn't tasteless and in this case it worked well since it didn't compete with the taro. The prices in general here are pretty reasonable, but especially for the handcrafted taro since it's a specialty drink. I also like that they offer a regular and large size for most drinks, it seems to be more and more common to only offer one large size and usually I prefer a smaller portion. I usually go for sharetea's fresh milk options but today I opted for the Hokkaido milk tea. Hokkaido milk tea is unique because it has a caramel flavor from the way the tea is mix is made. Even though I got this drink unsweetened, there were still notes of caramel in it from the milk powder. This made it more flavourful and enjoyable. The pearls were nice and chewy which I very much appreciated. Grayson got the black tea that day. He usually gets it with creama but he didn't feel like getting it that day. He said that the tea was very strong in flavor but not to the point of bitter. I thought this was surprising since it usually ends up being on the bitter side. Even though the drink didn't have added sugar in it, some of the syrup from the pearls got in so it was still had some sweetness to it. Worst service I've ever had! I ordered classic milk tea with black tea. Menu says classic milk tea (black, green or oolong) /- got black tea no milk. The server was rude and said she asked me twice if I wanted black tea. Yes I did but milk tea with black tea.! I'd say her misunderstanding of their own menu. I like Sharetea. It is a chain and I have tried their other location in Coquitlam. I like their milk tea. Parking is a hit and miss. We came at night so we were able to find free parking out front. I had the Okinawa grass jelly milk tea. That was pretty good. You get to pick how much ice you want and the sugar level (only two options for this one: sweet and 80% sweet). The place is busy even at night time. They make the milk tea on the spot. They have good selections of hot and cold drinks. For people who don't know what they want, they have pictures of the drink. I came and placed my order at 4:54PM on a Tuesday and order the Green Tea Passionfruit + Orange & Grapefruit and the Tiger Fresh Milk (the one listed in the promo picture provided). I wanted to get the Tiger Fresh Milk because the promotional poster said it would come in the Special Edition bottle. It took almost twenty minutes for my drinks to be made. When she called out for my order, I saw that the Tiger Fresh Milk was made in a regular container. Confused, I said I thought that it would come in the special edition glass. The girl said "sorry, we don't have that here." Like what..? I was so ticked off. She could have at least told me, because I was under the impression I would have received the bottle since she never said anything, just plugged in my order and let me spend my money on a product that wasn't what they even had. I told her "then why is it being advertised on a poster in your store if you don't have any here?" To what she replied with just "I don't know." I then told her that she should be taking it down because it's FALSE ADVERTISING. Which is freakin illegal. And to note, as a customer with a real concern, "I don't know" is NEVER an acceptable answer. Such a misleading promo and I'm considering even reporting this. Always gotta have some bubble tea and we happened to pass the Sharetea location on Cambie. It was quiet when we ordered ( so we missed the huge rush that came in a while later). Cute and modern decor and large tables ( meaning not a lot of seating). We ordered regular milk tea with pearls and taro milkshake with egg pudding, less ice and less sugar ( one of their top ten picks ). I always judge a good bubble tea place from its regular milk tea. It was average in taste but the pearls were just the right texture. My taro milkshake was still pretty sweet but the egg pudding was delicious. I only wish there was more. I only had the option for a larger size of the drink but I think if the drink had been regular, the ratio of drink to pudding would have been perfect. Was driving through the Cambie corridor and noticed this new bubble tea spot (attached to "the spot" residential building). We had to circle a few blocks a number of times before we could locate a parking spot - we didn't want to pay $6 for public parking (attached to the building, entrance just off West 12th). We had the Hawaii Fruit Tea and the Honey Lemon with Aloe Vera. The Hawaii Fruit Tea comes with Aiyu Jelly but I swapped it out for pearls - bubble tea just isn't the same without! Both drinks were very sweet even at "half sweet" so if you're not a sweet person, try half sweet or even less sugar. We came with friends after dinner and the place was pretty hoppin' but there were these folding chairs on the side that we asked to use but weren't allowed to? We had to ask some of the customers for their extra chairs to sit around a table for two. But we came for the bubble tea and not the experience so no complaints; just not the place to get comfortable. read more

Sunday afternoon and there was no one inside. They actually have a decent amount of seating for a bubble tea place. It's also nicely decorated inside with fake succulents on the table centrepieces. I ordered the Hawaiian fruit tea with less ice and no sugar. I know fruit teas are usually already so sweet so I like to get it with less or no sugar if possible. I really enjoyed my drink. It was sweet, but not overly sweet and the aiyu jelly was a nice alternative to regular pearls that are chewy. This jelly is more delicate. Overall, it's some solid bubble tea. read more

Amazing bubble tea! I went with three friends and tasted 4 of the top 10 choices, all delicious, especially the kiwi one which comes with real kiwi pieces at the bottom. All of them were very unique and unlike any bubble tea I've had before. Needless to say, the drinks are made with real tea. The shop itself is very quiet with some hip decor. I've always seen this place on my way to work and today I'm finally in! Sharetea offers sugar and ice customization, plus free WiFi. Because it was my first visit, I went for their top #10 menu item, taro ice blended bubble tea with pudding. There's a lot more pudding than what is suggested by their menu picture, so don't worry. The taro was nice and creamy tasting. My drink was around $6.5 without any additional add-ons. It's more pricy compared to other places, but I'm not familiar with any bubble tea places in the area yet. Nice decor and ambiance, very well spaced. read more

The interior of the shop is very similar to the Richmond location one, except that it is larger, which is full of artistic decors. A new bubble Tea place nearby with high yelp review is must try! Their Okinawa milk tea has really good tea flavor, the pearls are above average but on the chewy side. The mango slush with ice cream is refreshing and with 50% sugar, it has the perfect amount of sweetness. The only downside is that parking is difficult. read more

At this Sharetea location, I have one of my favourites, Ginger Milk Tea (hot). It has a creamy taste. I forgot to take a picture of it because I gulped it down before I could take a snap of it. LOL. If you are thinking of that Ginger taste and you are not a fan of Ginger, I would still recommend this drink because it's quite sweet and would definitely put a smile on your face. I would recommend trying out the best sellers, then the different drinks until you find your favourite one! Because everyone have different preferences and the drinks all have different customizations between sugar levels, ice, and toppings. Service may be slow right now due to the staffs being newly trained, which is the reason why they are having a soft opening first before grand opening. But overall, the drinks are really nice and you can tell that the pearls are freshly cooked as they are sweet and chewy. read more

Worst customer service! I came in and ordered an Okinawa Milk Tea with regular sugar and for ice, because it was already a cold day out, I specifically asked for "very little ice". Got my drink and the cup had good 1/4 to 1/2 of the cup filled with ice. I told them I wanted a very little amount. They did not apologize but removed the excess ice and were talking under their breath to each other (likely about me). Very unprofessional! They should have refilled the remaining space with more tea. They looked at me and said "that's what we do when we stager the ice". That made absolutely NO SENSE to me. I paid $6.09 for an drink that they could not correct because if I had for example ordered no ice, the cup would have been filled to the top! Note: this is for the Cambie and W. 12th location only. Mt. Pleasant bubble tea fans now have ANOTHER choice in the area. Sharetea, located on Cambie across the street from City Hall, is having a soft opening. There must be half a dozen bubble tea shops battling it out in Cambie Village now. I'm not a bubble tea expert by any means, but the Classic Milk Tea (oolong with herb jelly) tasted quite nice. The flavor of the tea was present and not completely overwhelmed by the milk and ice. I like that they let you customize the sweetness & amount of ice. The grass jelly (herb jelly as it's called here) was a little skimpy. I'm sure you can add more for an extra charge, but the drink was already over 5 bucks so forgive me for wanting more. Service was very friendly when I was ordering and welcoming them to the neighborhood. The staff were still training so they were a tad slow making the drinks. Tried the mango slush and the oolong crema. Mango tastes fresh and the pearls are chewy and not too sweet. The oolong crema is really smooth and has thus unique cheese taste to it. I would recommend getting half or less sugar as their drinks tend to be quite sweet. read more

We tried two of their best sellers, Kiwi Fruit Tea with Jelly and Cocoa Crema. I chose minimal sugar level for the Kiwi drink but it was still pleasantly sweet and refreshingly citrusy, perfect for an after-meal dessert. Cocoa Crema was rich and creamy, just as you would expect it to be from it's name. It came with a tiny plastic knife that you can use to make a small slit on the plastic lid so that you can enjoy the foamy cream on the top layer. Solid overall! read more
