They have a variety of drinks ranging from bubble tea to unique lattes like roasted chestnut latte and sweet corn latte. On the left, we ordered their Malt Milk tea. There were a lot of malt, both top and bottom. However, not too strong in milk tea flavour. On the right, we ordered a purple yam latte, this was legit! The perfect level of sweetness with purple yam pulp as well. Loved it! There isn't many cafes who serves sweet potato lattes, so this is definitely a win for us! Horrible unfriendly, staff, not good place for Caucasians to go. Very, very Caucasian unfriendly. So rude, having very old employee who do not speak English, it is possible they even did not register employee. Drove by this place while on the hunt for a refreshment. The place run by Korean people ( thus the cute play on words for the name perhaps) The menu was simple with flavoured milk and tea options. There was the option to mix any two flavours for free. There was no option to choose sweetness level ( so you know it's not a typical Taiwanese bubble tea place). That being said, the sweetness of both drinks were just right! The pearls were cooked perfectly and had a nice chew to them. I couldn't really taste the peach in my drink but the strawberry definitely dominated. The highlight was the strawberry peach milk because it wasn't just strawberry flavoured but it had real strawberry chunks in it . It had a reasonable amount of seating, ideal for small groups. I got their black milk tea, iced with pearls with my customary 25% sugar. Compared to other bubble tea places in the area, I would have to say the drink was only okay and felt like the tea did not have enough flavour. The bubbles however were well made. read more

They make nice drinks but the owners/staff do not actually like what they do. Have been here 10 times and the poor lady has so many rules and is a control freak. Who puts toy fruit at waist level of kids gets irritated and then puts a do not touch sign in Korean and expect 4 year olds to understand it? Haha. We find quality of bubble teas pretty good and tasty. But, they sure can improve on their customer service and friendliness. Every time we go, they remind us of an episode from Seinfeld of Soup Nazi. So we decided to nickname Soup Cup staff as Bubble Nazi. The cafe has pretty strict, silly and non-sensical, non-customer friendly rules and staff including the owner enforce these "rules" quite strictly. Some of the examples of silly rules, but not limited to, are: don't stand in front of the door; order on the left side only; once ordered wait only on the right side by the garbage bin; nearly every time in the cafe has signs of "do not touch"; don't poke bubble tea with straws on the counter; don't shake the bubble teas (even though sealed) on the counter; and if they see that you are even a bit off, they will give you that irritated and appalled look and sternly tell you not to do/stand. Whenever we go there, we feel like we just went through a production line where we were just served by robots. Staff including the owner aren't that friendly nor talkative with customers, they often keep to themselves, and can come across as rude especially when enforcing their in-store "rules". No wonder we nicknamed them as Bubble Nazi! This is the only bubble tea place that's decent in the area...if not, we would need to drive out so we do visit the store from time to time. As mentioend earlier, quality is not bad...but wish they stop acting like Bubble Nazi. Btw, much of the cafe is blocked off and no tables available for sitting. They also blocked off much of the store with another "warning sign" (not surprisingly). The cafe essentially wants you to buy and go elsewhere to drink Their drinks. read more

Where is the soul?! First Visit: I got their matcha latte bubble tea and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and execution of the drink. The pearls were decent and though we weren't able to customize the drink, it wasn't too sweet. It was quite creamy with matcha flavour, but no hint of bitterness (depends if you like that or not). Service on the other hand was sub-par. The staff was a little rude to my bf when he was near the front looking at the menu to order. He was told to move aside (in a not very nice tone) so the staff could assist the other customer. Second Visit: It seems like I was able to customize my drink on my second visit though I was told I couldn't on my first. The drink itself is decent. I could tell they use fresh ingredients, but the pearls were too soft for my liking. Service again is lacking. I came on a weekday afternoon and it was completely empty (no other customer). The cashier wasn't friendly when I asked her a question. She made me take the order ticket and wait outside the shop on a rainy/windy day (luckily there was a cover) even though the cafe had absolutely no other customer. I would not come back because drinks are average and service on both occasions was not friendly and inviting. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. The owners treat their customers in a disrespectful and disgusting manner. I've been here once and it was fine, I came at night when their part time staff was working. However, second time I went during the day when it appears the owners were working and they just treated me like absolute garbage. I was in the middle of paying with my BMO credit card when the lady SNATCHED the machine out of my hand in the most rude manner and said "we don't take cards that swipe they are not secure". However, 1.) all cards swipe 2.) their machine had a swipe and I just swiped my card and it was working 3.) there was no sign that said "no swipe available" .... It literally said "transaction processing" and she snatched the machine away from me and cancelled my payment. I was trying to explain to her nicely how my payment was processing and they obviously took swipe since it was clearly working and they don't have the swipe taped off or no sign that says no swipe. She started very aggressively arguing with me and basically saying my money was fake and a scam and not wanted here. I never experience such horrible and rude treatment from an owner or a customer service establishment. Please never come here. They deserve to go out of business. I honestly think it's a front for something probably with how fishy they were acting. 0 stars. read more

The first thing that brought me to Soul Cup was pictures of the Kaboucha squash slush I saw on some fellow yelpers! It was so beautiful with the gradient yellow and green and who wouldn't be curious how Kaboucha squash in a drink would taste!? If you like squash you would like this drink. It is similar to a taste of taro and yam - very rich and creamy. The gradient colour of the green was made from the skin of the Kaboucha squash! A fun drink to try. They have a few other neat flavors too like the ginger honey slush, avacado and purple yam. read more

This is mainly a bubble tea kind of place with a small food menu. We decided to have lunch here during the weekend. We ordered the yaki udon and spicy beef rice bowl. For drinks, it was an americano and roasted milk tea. Everything was made fairly quickly. My roasted milk tea was one of the betters ones I have ordered. The shop uses republica coffee beans. The americano was alright according to my date. The food was a decent snack. However, I felt like they used half an onion for the udon dish which is great if you love onions. The shop is Korean owned. There is also Korean music videos streaming on their TV. There is 15 min or 4 hour parking on the street. read more

She ordered a tea bubble tea instead of milk tea and I asked nicely if they could just addd some milk or remake it and they insisted that my sister was wrong and didn't tell them the right drInk. This cozy little family business is my favorite bubble tea place at the moment and I don't anticipate it to change anytime soon! I love their selection of unique menu items like Kabocha slush and avocado slush! I know you might be apprehensive to try them at first, but take my word for it, they are delicious! And their basic drinks like fruit slushes and coffee menus are all delicious too. I have never had a 'bad' drink at Soul Cup. Definitely a place to visit if your ever in the area. Considering that I live in Vancouver, this is definitely a place I visit when I'm in the area. The drinks are really well made, and made with care, something that can definitely be tasted when you take your first sip. I ordered the mango smoothy and it definitely brought me back to the old days when I was working at my first job making gelato. The mango puree they used tasted exactly the same and this was one of the flavors that everyone raved about and I see why. I also got a chance to taste the matcha, and this place is totally legit, they use the real matcha powder; this brought me back to the days that I was in Japan. A definite plus in my book. Terrible service, so bad it brought me to tears. I hope they go under one day soon. Accidentally dropped a drink outside and when asked if we could get a replacement we were met with a very rude response of "you dropped the drink, why would I give you a free drink" instead of letting me explain how most establishments if you drop your drink/food outside they make you a replacement just out of kindness and good customer service she just turned and walked away from me. I came back inside with money and she refused to serve me and threatened the call the police because I asked for a replacement. This bitch needs a reality check. Best bubble tea Ive ever had. I had a macha green tea milk bubble tea with pearls... i also had it with almond milk. The place was really nice, very inviting.. menu is fantastic. The macha tea was excellent. Next time i would ask for 1/2 sweet, but this is not on them.. they actually made it a little less sweet than i usually have elsewhere by default, but i generally ask for 1/2 sweet anyway, just forgot. I can't say much about the quality of goods as I never got to taste any of it. Upon walking into an empty establishment, with our masks on we were told only one person allowed at a time (keep in mind my son is 12). Ordered a bubble tea and a matcha latte. As we just recently moved Into the neighbourhood we were happy to make this our "go to" happy place. That changed very quickly. after a 20$ bill with a generous tip we were told to wait outside In the rain. Upon receiving my matcha and taking a sip I realized it was extremely sweetened (I cannot have sugar). I went back into the establishment and asked if there was an'y chance of getting a new one without sweetner (keep in mind I paid almost 10$ for this beverage). The "girl" said you want to buy another one? I asked her if she could make an exception as I didn't realize they automatically added a ton of sugar and make me a new one. No, she refused and said I had to pay And proceeded to take her phone out and start filming me all the while telling me to pay for a new one anticipating me to cause a scene. It was almost goading me to loose my temper. she was horrible and rude and destroyed what was suppose to be a mother son after school ritual. This is my favorite BBT place, not just in town, but in the province. Their kabocha slush, milk tea slush, fresh peach smoothie and matcha green tea ice cream slush are amazing...!!!
