You can really tell they put thought into their seasonal flavors, and as a huge mango fan, this place felt like a dream. This cute little cafe is so unique and cozy! It looks like it was built into someone's living room that was originally part of a larger house. We heard from our Vancouver friends that the mango drinks/desserts were legendary so we had to try it out. We ordered a mango sago drink, the brown sugar milk tea, and a mango sago dessert. The drinks were pretty large and we ended up not finishing one of them. The mangos were super ripe, juicy, and refreshing. I will say that the brown sugar milk tea was SUPER sweet, especially with the brown sugar bits at the bottom. We absolutely loved the mango sago dessert, so much so that I forgot to take a picture until it was almost finished. I would highly recommend this dessert. 5/5 Unfortunately, there wasn't a washroom for customers so we had to hold it in. Luckily, our friends lived nearby. It also took a while for us to be served, but that may be because there was a 15 drink order before us so it wasn't exactly the cafes fault. So happy I got to try this hidden gem that is nestled in a beautiful residential neighborhood. They have a whole menu dedicated to mango desserts and drinks, and I would certainly start there. Their mango cheesecake bingsu is delectable. The generous serving size is big enough to feed two, but it's so yummy that you could eat the whole thing yourself. The shaved ice is milky and finely shaved. On top, you'll find heaps of sweet mango chunks, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a slice of NY cheesecake. To top it off, you can drizzle on some condensed milk. I've been a regular here for a while now and just really like this place! It is such a cute shop and the staff are always really nice, they also have reward stamps. What I really like about blossoms is that they have a really good variety not only for drinks but for desserts as well. I highly reccomend their fruit teas and slushes, I think it is much better than their milk teas. For their desserts, I really love the custard taiyaki, the oreo one is good too but the custard one has better flavour. Their bingsoos are also really good and a great value. I hope that they add more options to their fruit smoothies though. read more

I've been coming here for years, and have probably sampled half the menu. This is the closest bubble tea joint to my house and since it's opened I've always been impressed with their customer service. Their owner is very personable and spends a lot of time in the shop addressing customer's needs and feedback. I remember reading a review where someone found hair/plastic (I can't remember) in their drink and they immediately offered a solution for their problem. When they first started they even printed out a picture I had taken of their mango drink to share on their wall :D Anyway, over the years they've tried board games, dart machines, and now they're back to a local bubble tea shop where lots of students hang out and catch up. Last night I tried their new (ish?) offering - brown sugar milk tea. It was very reasonably priced at around $5 considering most other shops are selling at $6.25+. It came in a cute little bullet shaped cup and the pearls were chewy and sweet, and mixed well with the milk tea that I ordered it with. Maybe because I had it to go in a bag, which was stacked upside down on top of my other drink, I didn't see much of the "tiger stripes" effect but I can confirm, taste was en pointe! They even offer online ordering (although it glitched for me yesterday and prompted me to call in to confirm order) so you can pickup and pay when you arrive, saving you some time if you're in a rush. read more

Covid hasn't been nice to many businesses I'll admit, but Blossom kept their wits about them through the quarantine and through the mandatory restaurant changes. They even added to their menu- Taiyaki! I am 'obsessed' with their taiyaki to the point I have to get my friends to stop me from ordering it if I already got some the last time we visited. :) They have baby taiyaki for sharing with friends and big taiyaki if it's just you and someone else! Custard, Oreo, or Red Bean. Feeling like something sweet? Shanghai Fog, Royale, or Hong Kong Condensed will be right up your alley. You can even ask for half sweet and I am pretty sure it will still hit the right taste buds. Feeling like something a bit darker, maybe something more malt-y? Genmai Matcha or Kuromitsu will hit the spot. Hot Genmai Matcha is my absolute fave here. (Also, if you have never tried it, sago is a really fun add on. It's the chewy consistency of pearls, but they are much smaller!) If you want to take someone on a cute little date night, order drinks at Blossom and go for a walk around the neighborhood. The houses are really fun to look at if you wander up and down the residential streets past Hastings. Enjoy! read more

This cute little dessert spot specializes in mango and you can definitely tell the second you walk in. There is a glass front fridge filled with mangos at the front of the store, and the air itself smelled sweet! The space itself is pretty small but it looks like a fair bit of traffic does roll through! The drinks were definitely higher quality and you can obviously tell that they used real mango instead of artificial flavoring/syrups. It wasnt overly sweet but the flavors were natural! Some of the drinks even have a generous heap of mango ontop of it! I will comment that the boba is cooked and flavored well (with honey)! Great little bubble tea shop in a really secluded neighbourhood nearby SFU Burnaby campus. Unless your a student or someone who lives in the community, you probably wouldn't know about this place, but it's really a hidden gem for the area. The interior of the shop is nice and quaint but really doesn't off much more in terms of a few tables for seating. I see this place being more of a takeout shop rather than a place to chill and hang. The real value of coming here though, as other reviewers have mentioned is the amazingly good fresh mango drinks that they have. I am an avid lover of mangos and I really enjoyed my mango creamy drink with fresh chunks of mango inside. I could definitely tell that these mangos chunks were fresh and not frozen. Highly recommended if you like fresh fruit slushes. I also got the reusable cup for $15 which seems a little bit steep, but you can consider a long term investment into the environment, then it's not that bad. Here, I would only make two suggestions: (1) that the store provides an extra lid so you can take the drink to-go (I've seen these jars online) and that (2) they redo the pricing scheme so it's less confusing. You can get one free drink with your cup but only up to a value of $4.70 (otherwise you have to pay the difference). For that much money being spent ($17.63 in my case) and to encourage people to be more eco-friendly, I think they should just include those extra drinks for a few dollars more and reduce the overall price. The pricing rebate was so confusing even the cashier wasn't sure if they had done it correctly. In an era where large bubble tea conglomerates are coming to Vancouver, Blossom Teas is a great little shop to support. With great drinks at their disposal, the small kinks they need to fix will definitely improve over time. I would definitely come back. read more

The tea itself was good, the vanilla flavour was smooth and creamy (although pretty sweet), but the pearls were amazing! They were super malleable and chewy, the taro and yam flavour was strong, and I could tell they were fresh. Only problem was I asked for no ice and still got some ice. It was our first time going to this place. Figure to search a bubble tea cafe before heading to Burnaby mountain park. Decided with this one. The lady was helpful to get me to their location; it's almost so hidden we passed it twice. Maybe just a blind side on our end (lol). Super cute cafe and love how they try to emphasize recycling (selling metal straw and bring your own cup kinda thing). We had the Oreo smoothie and the red bean matcha smoothie. I was so surprised that it was such a large size bubble tea (not complaining)! Well priced, very generous portion, and so good! There is zero regret coming and getting lost (almost haha). This is the first time I really had matcha flavoured drinks without it being too heavy or aggressive on the pallet. So yay! The sweetness is the right amount and it's just such a refreshing well executed balance of taste. Oh yah, I'd like to add I enjoyed that they had a small menu (sort of) because you get so used to coming to a BBT house and their menu is like 1000 page. Love this place! It reminds me of Bubble Queen in Richmond. If you love mango drinks, this is definitely the place for you! I tried their Mango Coco and added in 1/2 mini taro yam balls, 1/2 lychee coconut jelly, and 1/2 mochi. The drink also already comes topped with fresh mango cubes, which were so good! I loved their add ins (the taro yam balls and mochi are excellent!) and the available options of what you're able to add in are numerous. Okay, i have mixed feelings about this place. When i first started going here, i was like wow this place is a great whole in the wall in the middle of no where kinda place that has AWESOME bubble tea. I would always get the Mango Pomelo Slush with Sago which is around $8. Although, for the last 4 times ive gone, i have been disappointed due to having them forget ingredients. Either no coconut milk or no pomelo or no sago?! If im paying $8 for a drink, it better have ALL of the ingredients in it. Aside from that, its a great place to come and chat over some bubble tea. The place isn't meant for a lot of people. I ordered the Mango supreme shaved ice and it tasted delicious. They don't use any powder or frozen fruits, they're all fresh and I liked how the shaved ice was also mango flavoured; not just ice shavings. The servings are quite filling and the price was average. Although the tables were kinda sticky, it was a cute cafe for bubble tea and shaved ice dessert. Lastly, I noticed that they had dairy-free choices on their menu as well. The ambiance isn't your typical asian bubble tea shop -- it's sort of hard to describe without coming to visit it yourself. It's nestled in the brand new "Westridge Living" development, right near the bottom of SFU (just across from the Mountain Shadow Pub). It has a "cosy-yet-chic urban apartment vibe" while still mixing in Taiwanese / Japanese decor (the place is, after all named after the cherry blossoms that line the neighborhood streets around it) This place serves more than just bubble teas -- they have a wide variety of specialty coffees, ice cream shakes, and desserts. Prices are surprisingly good value -- these days you will probably pay more at the typical strip mall "Orange Julius", "Booster Juice", or "Pinkberry" than here, and yet get a much better/fresher drink or dessert to boot. Personally, we are hooked on their Matcha Matcha shake, iced coffees, and am waiting for the opportunity to try their Bacon Fudge shake (insert Homer Simpson "bacon... drool"). Their current fresh mango concoctions are awesome too. We even let the kids go wild here without feeling too bad -- since many of their drinks use fresh fruit and frozen yogurt. We have come back several times already for our "dessert fix" -- and their menu changes often -- so definitely check back frequently if you do visit. With the grand spring weather we are having -- the real cherry blossoms are in full effect, so snap some pics, and hit up Blossom teas afterwards for some refreshment and good eats. I frequently come here for drinks while studying, and I love how it's usually quiet (and the free wifi). Despite it being pretty much tucked away in a corner, it still gets busy and it's surprising how many people drop by! I decided to try one of their shaved snow ices the other day and chose their seasonal special mango snow ice. The mangoes were sweet and yummy, and the sauce helped flavour the ice that didn't go with a mango piece! Perfect combination, to be very honest. One "down side" was that it was HUUGE (at least for the appetite of someone who's only 5'0), and the three of us who were eating it were all full at the end. I tried the supreme mango drink and have found the closest knock off of my favourite mango drink at Bubble Queen. The slush was made of mango and tea. I can taste both and can tell it was from real mango and not the powdered stuff. It was amazing to have chucks of fresh mango to accompany my mango slush! No longer do I need to drive all the way to Richmond when I want to treat myself to an amazing mango bubble tea. This costed $5.95 plus tax. The ambiance is cute. The watermelon shake was really refreshing and made with lots of fresh watermelon. The matcha smoothie, even ordered at full sweetness because we forgot to reduce the sugar, was better than anywhere else we've had it. It also came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a matcha pocky stick. Both were excellent value for the $. This is our go to bubble tea place. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from our house, but we call ahead as we are leaving and everything is ready by the time we get there. We originally tried this place because the pictures looked amazing. I'm a big fan of their mango options and continuously order the Mango Creamy or Mango Pomelo Sago depending on what I am craving. Both a very fresh and delicious. Recently started ordering Taiyaki as well and I really like them, but I haven't had Taiyaki in the past so I don't have anything to compare it to. Husbando usually gets something strawberry or matcha, but has also had the Shanghai Fog a few times and loves it. We found out that they now serve desserts like shaved iced so I decided to try their matcha ice. Came here with the volleyball team after an all day tourney at Harry Jerome down the street. Ordering 16 teas, we quickly got to see a variety of teas that are offered.
