A new dessert place added to my treasury... I was not aware of this place until my boyfriend brought me here. We ordered the tiramisu bingsoo and it was super yummy! I was surprised at how big it was and the fact that it also came with a shot of espresso. I also liked that there were cornflakes at the bottom for added texture. Flavour-wise, there was a great balance of sweetness but also bitterness, which I liked. The taiyaki was okay, not much filling, so I probably wouldn't go back for it. The vibe of the place is very cozy with lots of seating and cute lighting. Since it opens late, it could also be a nice café to study at. Friendly staff, quick service, and yummy dessert - I will have to return!
Perfect place to go on a hot summers day! I cannot choose a favourite, but I will say the Door Stop Honey Toast is absolutely divine. The whole thing like a giant ooey gooey cinnamon roll centre! The mochi on the strawberry dessert is mouthwatering good and the crunch cereal in the bottom is fantastic!! Staff is friendly and very accommodating Now I'm craving!!
Best Korean and Taiwanese desserts ever! My fav is the honey (toast) box, but i add black sesame ice cream on top and mmmm gooey sweet chewy creamy goodness! I love how the whipped cream soaks into the cake! The bingsoos are amazing with perfectly shaved ice! About a 15 min Uber from downtown Vancouver. Will be back on our next trip!
Went here just to get the 6 taiyaki togo for $10. Picked matcha, red bean, mochi and 3 corn cheese. As you can tell I love the corn cheese, but decided that I want to try all the flavour. Mochi was very bland, it could be something better. Matcha could be stronger. Red bean was good but not amazing. Corn cheese is still the best, it is sweet and has a nice texture. They take AMEX
Really expensive dessert. But the taste was really good. They were nice enough to provide us cups and spoons to share. I wanted to try matcha next time. The store and the table were clean when we arrived.

This place is located within the First Ave. Marketplace (in the same plaza as the T&T). Parking is one of the banes of this shopping center. Even if you manage to find a spot, it is usually extremely narrow and tight. The inside of this dessert shop is well-lite, but a bit on the cool side in terms of temperature. It would be nicer if it is warmer, given that they are a bingsoo establishment. As you eat, you start feeling cold. The restrooms are also filthy with grim. We ordered a taro bingsoo for $17 CAD, and was not impressed. The taro is not fresh taro, but artificial taro flavor injected into the snow. Also, their portion size is small relative to the price. Finally, their bingsoo texture is a bit rough and hard, more like ice than fluffy snow.
It's one of the best Korean desserts I've had. It's an ideal place for date night. Desserts are big enough to share with someone. The service was great they answered all my questions. My favorite was the Taiyaki with Mochi and the Mango Bingsoo.
Still is one of my favourite places to get bingsoo. It isn't too sweet and I like the layering of the cornflakes on the bottom, fruit and condensed milk. It still tastes as good as I remember. Although I miss having the mini taiyaki as the topper. As well, prices have gone up and they now offer only one size rather than a single and full size. I would prefer to have the option of different sizes because it can be quite filling. It's definitely a dessert to be shared now with the one size. I've also had their mini taiyaki previously and those are a nice treat. There are a few fillings to choose from such as chocolate, red bean, mochi, and custard. I enjoy getting a mix of fillings because it's hard to tell which one is which, so it's a surprise. Anyways, the desserts are still good, however with the higher price tag, this will be a dessert I'll only be treating myself to once in awhile.
Had a Mango and Strawberry Binsu (shaved ice) and Taiyaki. Sooo good. It was my first time trying shaved ice and it was super refreshing without leaving you feeling like it was too much.
A dessert haven walking distance from my work site. I came here just to have a photo of the fish shape cake yes it was funny but thats the truth. I brought friends with me. Small place,almost hidden,located in huge block shared with other businesses usually restaurants. Free and lots of parking in here. The inside is very well lighted,for some reason very peaceful inside. Cute decors with pastel colors, Almost full when we came but service remains quick and efficient. We had the taro shave ice sweet and creamy and looks like it has gummy bears on it. Yummy...we all enjoyed it up to the last spoon. Then some fish shape cake very good it has custard filling,maybe if i will not control,i can have 2 order of this just for myself. Sugar overload... Pricing is just right,noise level is still average despite so many people inside. Accept cash,debit and credit. I would love to come again and try all the bingsu from the menu. Kudos nice place to enjoy Korean dessert
I've been here multiple times and the Bingsoo is always delicious. We arrived on a Thursday around 7PM and the seating area was practically full. The in-store decorations are cute. Orders were placed before and after us, yet it only took about 5 mins for all of our desserts to be made which I thought was very fast. We ordered the Oreo cookie, chocolate and Injeolmi (rice cake) bingsoos and each were approximately $14. I think it's unfortunate that there are no longer two options for sizes since I think this size is large for one person but possibly a bit small for two people. My Oreo bingsoo contained ice cream within the shaved ice layers and cornflakes on the bottom. We all enjoyed what we ordered!
dinner with the girls ended far too soon, but we weren't quite ready to call it a night just yet. so naturally, we did what any reasonable group of women would do after dinner: went for dessert at mr frosty. this korean dessert cafe has no shortage of tempting options, bingsoo, waffles, taiyaki, croffles, basque cheesecakes, tiramisu, cookies, macarons, milkshakes and plenty of drinks. basically, the hardest part is figuring out what not to order. i eventually settled on the tiramisu bingsoo, and it turned out to be a very good decision. the shaved milk ice was incredibly light and delicate, with a soft, fluffy texture almost like freshly fallen snow. it practically dissolved on the tongue, while the tiramisu added layers of creamy richness and mellow coffee flavour. the combination of cold, airy milk ice, sweet cream and coffee made every bite feel surprisingly light, despite how indulgent the whole thing looked. and there was a small espresso pour over, adding a warm hit of bold coffee that soaked into the fluffy bingsoo and intensified those tiramisu flavours. digging in proved to be a little messy, delicious and absolutely impossible to eat gracefully. sitting there happily sharing my dessert, i suddenly realized i had broken one of my not so hard and fast rule, that of no eating after 8 pm. c'est la vie. we don't get together often enough anyways. read more
Was craving bingsu so we came here before closing. We honestly have tried everything already here so we decided to try the tiramisu flavor. I am not a big lover for coffee they put a shot of espresso on the side, my partner really enjoys it but I don't. If you pour it inside it will make the corn flakes on the bottom soggy af. Honestly I think this is pretty much one of the worst flavors here but everything else is still worth everyone trying. read more

Perfect place to go on a hot summers day! I cannot choose a favourite, but I will say the Door Stop Honey Toast is absolutely divine. The whole thing like a giant ooey gooey cinnamon roll centre! First I thought it may be chilly to have shaved ice in autumn but I was wrong. I felt those texture was closer to ice cream than shaved ice. There was ice cream inside of the mountain of shaved ice and both don't melt easily. I loved milky sweetness and enjoyed till last without brain freezing. So good! read more
Cute little dessert spot in the plaza on Renfrew and 1st Avenue. Ordered the matcha bingsoo since they were out of mango! The taiyaki was a nice touch on top. The matcha ice cream, red bean, condensed milk, and corn flakes at the bottom made for the perfect dessert! The shaved ice itself was nice and light, not too sweet. read more
Quickly became one of my favourite bingsu spots! While cat-sitting in the neighbourhood for 3 weeks, I embarrassingly visited this place 3 times. This place has a lot of choices which sets them apart from other bingsu places. Not only do they have bingsu, but they also have waffles and lava toast. I stuck to my go-to of mango bingsu though so I can't comment on the other things. For the bingsu, they layer their toppings so you get a good amount of the flavours throughout. I also really enjoyed the fish pastry (Nutella-filled) and the ice cream on top of the mango one. Each bingsu flavour seems to come with different curated toppings as my bf got a chocolate one that came with brownie bits. Mr. Frosty also does the best "to-go" packaging I've ever seen for a bingsu place. Usually, it's an overfilled cup that you have to take your chances with or a gross styrofoam container but they use cups are similar to a Starbucks Venti cup with a domed lid so you can actually eat it pretty safely while on the go. Unfortunately, they only offer the Single size to-go. That said, the Single size is easily enough for 2 people (especially if you're dining in as it looks even bigger) but if you're really hungry, I'm sure you won't be sorry if you dine in and order the larger size. read more

Love this little cafe! This was my second visit to my frosty. Their mango bingsu is super refreshing & delicious super light dessert for after a heavy meal. If you're looking for something that isn't too heavy. It's a small cafe but very cute inside. Their little mini taiyaki fish are super delicious as well. I got the 6 mixed with half chocolate and half custard. They're soooo good when fresh and hot! Their waffles took a little longer to come out though. My friends each ordered one and it took a little longer. When they came out they were really tasty and looked super cute! read more
I love coming here for their bingsoo (shaved milk ice) they have single and full size, usually a single size is good enough for me and decent to share! I always get their matcha (green tea) one! The shaved ice is infused with matcha, it's pretty good! Also I love that they have cereal flakes layered into the shaved ice, gives it good texture and crunchy flavour! This is officially my new favourite Bingsoo spot in Vancity! My friends and I were craving some late night dessert and this was the only Bingsoo place opened late at night so we decided to give it a try and I'm so glad we did! The 3 of us got the all fresh mango bingsoo to share and 12 taiyaki to share (mochi, chocolate, custard). The bingsoo came out first on a tray and they gave us 3 tiny bowls for us to share. This bingsoo was soooo refreshing! The mango was so so fresh and sweet and you can tell it was in season! The bingsoo ice was so delicious and milky, they also put mango syrup, condense milk, and corn flakes. When the bingsoo melted, it tasted so great with the syrup and all in all just a refreshing dessert for a hot summer day, the portion was perfect for 3 people to share! The taiyaki was so delicious! My favourite flavours were the custard and chocolate. The custard was nice and sweet but I wish there was more of an egg custard filling. The chocolate one didn't have as much chocolate filling as much as I wanted but it was a nice sweet treat. The mochi one had a nice chewy bite was a bit bland, it did have soybean powder inside to pair it but it's not my cup of tea. I loved that their menu was all in photos so it was very easy to see what was in each dish. The decor inside is so cute and cozy, it is not chaotic for a late night bingsoo spot! I will definitely return in the future to try more flavours! read more
Came back here because this is indeed one of my favourite go to places for dessert. We decided to try some items we haven't tried before and they didn't disappoint. * My frosty toast box ($12) ~ outstanding, brilliant, phenomenal, it was just out right genius of a creation. It was so good. Icecream sandwiches as garnish, with whipped cream and icecream and strawberries on a bed of delicious soft and warm toast box. Outside crunchy, and interior soft and chewy. Highly recommend this to share as it can be heavy! * Strawberry bingsoo small ($11) ~ this was delicious. Strawberries were loaded and the condensed milk was so good in it. Super refreshing and I loved how tasty the layers were with the strawberry syrup and condensed milk. * Chocolate bingsoo small ($10) ~ this was so confusing. By the visual you'd expect it to be super seeet due to the bueno chocolate, cake and cookie however when you get into the ice it's the complete opposite it's not super sweet it seems they use real cocoa powder non-sweetened for the shaved ice. Overall this is good if you don't like things too sweet. * 9/10 ~ I loved it , always so delicious coming here. The chocolate was ok I wish it was sweeter though. * 8/10 ~ everything is shareable, we had 3 things with 4 of us and we struggled finishing the shaved ice. Portion is generous. I like Mr. Frosty. Delicious Bingsoo desserts. Wished that Calgary has bingsoo as well. I can only get it in Vancouver. So ordered the mango bingsoo and the matcha bingsoo. Came with my family and there were four of us. 2 regular size bingsoo was enough for 4 people. Portion quite big. Regular size is $10 and the bigger size is just a couple dollar more. The mango bingsoo was made with the delicious ataulfo mango and best part was that there is mango in the center. On the very top there is a scoop of vanilla ice cream. That is a plus. The shaved ice is made with milk. Loved that The matcha is my favorite out of the two. Strong matcha flavor. The place is not very big and it can get quite busy and especially at night time. read more
If you want something to cool down in a hot summer day, then try this place out. It's absolutely one of my favourite place for shaved ice. Every cup comes with 2 ice cream balls and full load of fruits/cake depends on what you ordered. Single choc is a must try if you are a chocolate lover. 1 cup is good for 2 ppl. read more

Came here in multiple visits during my 3 weeks vacation in Vancouver! It was recommended by my cousin who is a local, and she said the mini taiyaki and peach soda was good. So, my sister and I bought her recommended order and oh my god, it was delicious! We ordered a pack of 6 mini taiyaki (2 custard, 2 red bean, and 2 mochi). There are actually 4 different flavors which are those listed above and chocolate; however, none of us really like chocolate so we didn't get it. An order of 6 mini taiyakis was $4, and 12 mini taiyakis were $7. I like the red bean flavor the most and my sister liked custard (all were amazing tho!). The peach soda was definitely a new taste. It was so refreshing and didn't make me feel guilty at all (tho I should) because it contains soda. Super yummy! However, my last visit, the peach soda tasted just like sprite, with no hint of peach which I was sorta sad about. Other times, it was all good! I definitely want to try a bingsoo here but I never had the time to just sit in and eat so I always opted for taiyaki and peach soda!! :) read more

It was Mother's Day and we had dinner the the Korean Restaurant in the strip mall. Our dinner was at 5 pm! Super early I know, but you have to book an early dinner time or go without for Mother's Day! Anyways, we finished dinner around 630... too early to call it a night and go home so we decided to go for dessert and sit and chat a bit. We ended up at My Frosty... Here's my disclaimer... I'm not a big fan of K-Pop! I don't get the culture or thrill of all things Korean! ... But I'm open minded ... I'll try this Korean dessert place cuz everyone else wants to go! I'm not a big fan of shaved ice desserts... but My Frosty was pretty good I have to admit! The place is clean and stylish... The girl behind the counter was friendly and helpful when we asked what we should be ordering. Overall, a very positive experience! I like the free barley tea they offer too! Older people (eg. my mom) especially appreciates that hot tea while scraffing down cold desserts... We had 2 cold ice desserts (mango and matcha) some thick toast (love the ice cream sandwiches!!!... reminds me of being a kid again! Hahahaha) and some fish shaped desserts! All were good! Not overly sweet, but tasty! I wouldn't come everyday but I will certainly add My Frosty to my repertoire of dessert places to frequent when the mood hits me and I'm in and about the area! read more

Food: 5/5 Decor: 5/5 Service: 4/5 (not their fault, at night they were understaffed) All in all a perfect experience. The food exceeded my expectations and was delicious, and the atmosphere was comfortable and calm. There are pictures of all of the types of waffle and bingsoo so you know what you're ordering. I'm definitely coming back again to try another type of bingsoo. read more

The best bingso and mini tayaki in Vancouver so far. However I put minus 1 star because their brick toast was okay. Their bingso is THE BEST, it's milky but not too sweet like other places. My favourite one will be the injolmi (as always) the snow ice is covered by injomi (at other places usually they just use regular snow ice and give injolmi powder), which is really good because you can taste the injolmi every time you scoop the ice. Secondly, favourite will be matcha!! and third mango. The atmosphere is really nice to catch-up with your friends. Tayaki is very fresh. You can just ordered any fillings, they are really good! but my favourite is the custard. I wish they open new branch in coquitlam (so closer to my place) Parking is so easy and even if you take the bus, the bus stop is really close to this place. read more
A good addition to the Bingsoo scene in Vancouver, My Frosty is located in the plaza with the TNT on 1st Ave so parking wouldn't be too hard to find. They are known for their fish taiyaki that they put on top of their bingsoo (but you can also order a basket of them separately). I shared a mango bingsoo with my cousin and it was plenty for the 2 of us. The mangos were sweet and the bingsoo had a nice sweet milky flavour. As for price, it was on par with other dessert places about $5-7 a person depending what size you order. Something that threw me off was the layer of cornflakes at the bottom of the bowl.. I can see how some people would enjoy that but I found it to be peculiar! I would put My Frosty in my top 3 for shaved snow and would definitely come back if I was in the area. read more
This is the first 5 stars that I give to a shaved ice café in Vancouver because it is definitely the best one I have tried yet! My Frosty has won me over right when I stepped in. The décor is very cute, with lights all over the ceiling and pictures hung all over the left wall. I went during a weekday, so it was also empty. Christmas music was playing and Christmas decorations were up, which made it feel even warmer. My friends and I took forever deciding what to get because everything on the pictures looked so good! But we ended up deciding we had to try the taro shaved ice because we've never seen this flavor at a Korean shaved ice store yet and the mochis because they were just so cute! The taro shaved ice was BOMB! The flavor of their bingsoo's are actually integrated in the ice, unlike most other Korean shaved ice. It really did taste like taro! The hidden condensed milk also added a bit of sweetness which complemented the ice. And the cornflakes at the bottom! Miam! I wish there was more of it because it made the dessert that much better! The taiyaki were amazing too! And did I mention so cute?? They come in mochi, chocolate, and red bean flavors. They come freshly made and the outside was deliciously crispy. The price was very reasonable as well. I cannot wait to come back to taste everything else on the menu! read more

Came here for late night dessert, and we got lucky they still have a couple of tables empty. As we ordered and got our table the place is starting to get packed. Lucky us we got there a few minutes early! We ordered injeolmi and mango bingsoo. The shaved ice on the injeolmi had a flavor on it already plus it's so powdery that it really melts right away if it touches your mouth. It does come with a red bean, coconut and mochi. And there's a surprise at the bottom more mochi and some injeolmi flavor. Also loved the mango, shaved ice was milk and the they were generous on the mangoes, as you go through the middle more mangoes and cornflakes at the bottom. It's more expensive than the rest of bingsoo place, but worth coming back. I think I found my favorite place in Vancouver! read more

This is my go to spot in East Van to hangout and grab desserts. My Frosty offers a wide variety of desserts from bingsoo to korean toasts to coffees and sodas. Their selling point is definitely their bingsoo. The ice is really flaky and creamy compared to other shaved ice places. They layer the fruits in the middle so that you won't run out of fruit when you finish the fruit on the top layer. When you get to the bottom, their is a layer of cereal and it tastes so GOOOD with the fruit, melted icecream and sweet milk. When mangos are in season, that is definitely the flavour to get, but unfortunately it was out of season when we went but strawberry is also very fresh and tasty. The taiyaki is a must order as well because it's freshly made to order and is very soft and chewy. Desserts and drinks are reasonably priced and would be great to share with a couple friends. Service is very minimal and depending on the cashier/server, they can be quite rude or grumpy. read more
