Really quick service here -- I feel as if I had close to no wait time after ordering, albeit I came when it wasn't very busy. The pearls were cooked nicely, and was not very sweet (which is my preference) as I can adjust sweetness with the tea instead. read more

Ordered ahead on Fantuan... arrived 5 minutes after order was "being prepared". Sat and watched as a lineup of people ordered in person and got their orders ahead of us. 15 minutes had gone by when I went up to the front and asked them what was taking so long. Apparently our drink had a "slush" component and it took considerably more time to make... I didn't buy it. It's literally a blended ice drink, not a slush. And our order should have been done in sequence but they decided to try to make it when it wasn't as busy so they could get more people out the door. Conceptually it makes sense, but at my expense is not appreciated. I've posted my order receipt for everyone to see. I would not recommend this location. read more

my go to at coco is their grapefruit with yakult. it's so refreshing, love the combination as the grapefruit and tartness of the yogurt flavoured yakult complement each other nicely. i also like the added option to choose the level of sugar and ice. the paper straws suck, like, literally... there's a communal table and a few stools along the window, and i greatly appreciate that this venue has ac. bonus now, there's a 20% discount off three flavours, and the grapefruit with yakult is one of them. another great flavour combination is the mango, pomelo, and sago, this one is blended, similar to a smoothie and i think the third flavour is a dragon fruit? wish they have a loyalty card... read more

I keep forgetting that there's a new page for this CoCo branch. This 655 West Pender location is literally like 10 steps away from the previous location. Love this new location dearly. I hated having to line up outside the door at the old place. Didn't help that people would stand around waiting for their drink. Felt like a mosh pit and I've never even been to one. Lots of space now to stand around idly without getting into another person's personal space. There's also enough room for people to chill out and sit...in future when Covid is over. Its nearly impossible for me to complain about the drinks here. This CoCo staff has been awesome on making sure their drinks are on point. I've never had any issues. Pearl roasted milk tea is probably my favourite with the brown sugar milk tea or latte right behind it. Can't say more good things about CoCo. They've been a savior in a way allowing my bubble tea thirst to be quenched during these tough times. I liked the taste from the beginning; however the more I sip it was VERY sweet for my liking. I think some might like the strong brown sugar taste. Service was fast and friendly. I was on Granville super thirsty. I searched for Bubble Tea, and this popped up as being close. It's on the North side of Pender just West of Seymour. It is tiny. There is a ledge against the window with room for 3 to sit. It was crowded with 6 people, ordering and waiting. Never mind when 3 others squished in. They have small cards that show the menu of drinks available. This was helpful to me, as I often don't wear my contacts or glasses. There a very small selection of fresh fruit Bubble Tea slush. ( Actually, I don't even know if it was "fresh fruit" or not ) I chose the Passionfruit Mango with half pearls and half coconut jelly. You can have a medium size for 4.5$ or for fifty cents more, a large for 5$ ( for my drink was priced as such anyway ) People were literally tripping over one another- trying to order and pay, wait for drinks to be made, pick up the finished drink, then try to leave. I saw more then one foul expression ! My total before tip was 6.70$ The wait wasn't too long to get the actual drink. But there was too many people up at the counter, and I had to wait to get up to the counter. The slush itself was a very smooth and creamy texture which I love. The flavour wasn't my favourite, but it was ok. My pearls however had a weird Maple taste to them. I hate Maple, so luckily it didn't seem to bother me too much.That or it was just at the start. Would I come here again ? No -too many other places, that have many more flavours to choose from, that are a lot less crowded. read more

Came here with my colleague just after lunch and I got a roasted milk tea with grass jelly drink. It was good but not as good as Chatime. I like the location of CoCo. Its close to my office. Or basically close to SFU and many other office towers/businesses. When I got there, there was a long line up out the door. In and out takes about 15 to 25 mins. The place is super small. So its basically a to-go bubble tea place. Choices are ok. Not like lots. But most of it are really the same thing with different toppings. Overall, I would definitely come back. It's always busy at this location, I mean, lineups out the door busy but the store isn't very big inside so that might also be why. I'm fairly lactose intolerant but one works around that and I didn't find the pearls to be the greatest on the two occasions that I have been here. Their pearl roasted milk tea has a lot of lactose (yes, it's been tested by me) so it is more creamier compared to their competitor (ie. Chatime). I also tried the Bubble Gaga which is a passionfruit green tea with coconut jelly and pearls. I personally prefer the one at Presotea instead as it comes with real passionfruit seeds as well as everything else that the bubble gaga has to offer as opposed to a syrup. Overall, not my go-to bubble tea franchise but there's only so many big chains in the downtown area that it's hard to be picky. read more

Between the West End and Gastown, there seems to be a pretty big vacancy of places to grab a coffee or tea drink, especially after hours. With my constant search on yelp, I kept finding closed places BUT the trust Coco Bubble tea spot popped up and they delivered a nice refreshing drink quickly. This is a small take out spot. Sure they have a bar seating for 2 people in there but it's quite a small space. It's clean and the 2 staff members behind the counter were ready to quickly make your drinks. It's a little clean and cute spot... just enough to get your bubble tea fix. The service here is really cute. I expected the 2 very kind girls to break out into peace signs during our conversation as they were happy with their big smiles. The menu is similar to most other Coco places with regular milk teas and tea slushies but they're branching more towards fruit based drinks. This time, they did a have a few specials for the month. Seeing how it was 30C ++ that day, I was dying for something cold and refreshing. Their monthly special of the strawberry slush fit my needs perfectly. Strawberry slush - For a spot that isn't known for their fresh fruits, there was a nice amount of strawberry flavour in this slush. I asked for half sweet and it was more fruit flavoured than sugary... which is just perfect for me. The addition of the nice and chewy tapioca was quite generous than the normal. Nothing is worse than undercooked or soggy tapioca. These ones were perfect and they gave me a lot. Bonus for me! Overall, nicely blended so no icy chunks and served up quickly after my friendly order. All in all... really good experience. 4/5 The area doesnt have a lot of options so Coco is a welcome relief as it has a good offering and also a later opening hours. You can head there even after 6 pm and get your bubble tea fix easily. Hopefully the 2 staff members are still there cause they were just ridiculously happy and can brighten your day. read more

I will admit, I was a bit hypeeeed up prior to coming here by another friend who had raved about how good this place is. After trying the Coco store in Taiwan, I had pretty high expectations of this place. Upon arrival, do note that this place is TINY. Not too much seats are available and overall, I can see this place feeling cramped + line out the door if visiting during peak hours. Interior is nice and colorful. The menu itself is displayed on the big screen and a taped menu to the glass. For the options offered, it was fairly limited for a bubble tea place. Unlike the cool combos that was offered in the Taiwan version, this place offered the standard safe milk tea choices, very limited black/green tea options, and a few coffee oriented items. Ordering was a breeze though. The staff was quick and efficient in getting the drinks out and the wait time was roughly around 5-10min for a group of orders (10+). For the tea itself, I got the Sago Mango Green Tea. Even at 70% sweet, this drink was still crazy sweet for me but overall, I did enjoy the fresh taste of sago and the refreshing mix flavor of mango and green tea. For those who enjoy the green/black tea drinks, I highly recommend telling the staff verbally on how sweet you want the drinks to be. All drinks here are roughly $4-5+ CAD and up, and the sizes offered is Small (half the size of regular) or Large (regular sizes in standard bubble tea places). Toppings are an additional 50 cents each and there are limited choices. Tip: Bring cash or debit card for payment since this place does not accept credit cards. read more

We stayed at Delta Hotel Marriott and walked across the street to get some slices of pizza and bubble tea. I am satisfied with the drinks we got. We got pearl milk tea, sago taro milk tea, and passion fruit green tea with grass jelly. I think you could do the passion fruit green tea w/o the jelly part and still enjoy it! The place is pretty tiny. Not enjoy space for people to order and wait to pick up their drinks. Definitely come back to try other flavors! read more

I've been going to this place since Chatime closed downtown. Its now one of my favourite bubble tea spots. There are a lot of options to choose from and they always have a different featured drinks every month that is a discounted large size. Its good to try different flavours through that which is great. My favourite is the classic Pearl Milk Tea in Hot (it makes the tapioca pearls super soft). They also have a point system with Belly everytime you get a drink you can earn 5 points that will go towards a free drink. The prices are very good compared to other bubble tea places The location is very nice and super roomy. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Drinks are ok. Even at 50% sugar it's still very sweet. Almost $7 for a drink, a bit pricey but it's downtown and almost all bubble teas have raised the price lately anyway. However, I was very upset that when I was ordering they did not tell me they ran out of pearls and there was a half hour wait. Stood there for 25mins until i asked and they told me there's another 5mins wait for pearls. Half an hour for an overpriced drink and I missed my appt for this. Great to see a bubble tea shop for a quick bubble tea fix during work in downtown! They have some pretty neat flavours and specials on occasion. I tried the winter melon latte special and it was nice and refreshing. Their special for that was a medium or large melon latte for the same price. I come to this location alot for a bubble tea fix. I really like their drinks. My favorites are lemon yakult, taro, and roasted milk tea. You can also choose your sweetness and ice level. 70% sweetness and less ice is my usual order. My only concern for this location is that they do not get the orders correctly. I would have to keep repeating my orders or tell them this is not what I ordered (ie. Wrong size, no pearls though ordered, incorrect sweetness). I find their service inconsistent. I also think think they should be a little more friendly..I can't help but think she's irked when I have to repeat myself or tell her my order is incorrect. Other than that I'd still come for the drinks but I hope the service gets better. read more

Great tea and the best bubbles I've had in North America! I got a black sugar milk tea, and in addition to having very pretty swirls, it was delicious. The molasses taste from the lack sugar blends very well with the milk tea flavor. The drink isn't overwhelmingly sweet. I've been having bubble tea for two decades now, and I didn't know until know that the bubbles could be quite this chewy. Everything else will forever fall short. read more

Anyways, we got the green milk tea with boba with less sugar and less ice, and it was probably one of the best boba drinks I have ever had (trust me, I have had a lot!!!) I was so impressed by the consistency of the boba- chewy and soft, basically perfection. The milk tea was also creamy, but not too sweet at the same time, and still allowing the tea aroma to come through. Absolutely a treat. A cult favourite for all the right reasons. It's priced well and always tastes good! I was first addicted to CoCo's after traveling in Shanghai. So when I saw CoCo's in Vancouver, I had to keep my addiction going! I either get their original milk tea with tapioca or the 2 ladies (milk pudding with tapioca in their original milk tea). Their tapioca is always tasty and have the right amount of chew to them. And their teas are flavourful and have a good level of sweetness to it. The pearl tastes good and there are other options to substitute such as sago. There is also a point system to hop on if you visit the store regularly, you get your 12th or 13th cup free! My mom and I were walking through the mall and saw some girls with delicious looking bubble tea. They pointed us in the direction of CoCo Fresh which was a great tiny little place with authentic bubble teas and a huge menu. I got a Thai bubble tea and my mom got the regular iced green tea. The ordering and pricking up process was a little chaotic if you don't know what you want the girl at the register couldn't really explain the different styles and there were so many people waiting for pickup it was hard to hear your order. They're pretty reputable and have over 2000 locations worldwide or something crazy like that. Mango Smoothie - (4/5) this was really yummy! It reminded me of mango pudding in a pleasant way:) Bubble Tea - (4/5) their classic milk tea, this was very fragrant and comparable to Chatime! I'm really picky with bubble tea and only really like a couple of places and I'm glad I can add Coco to this list. The location is excellent too if you're by Granville Station and don't want to make your way to the Chatime further down Robson.
