My sister randomly texted me asking for a favour to pick her up some bbtea from Chatime with an offer to pay for mine too. I drove over to the Langara location, closest by home, and it was hard to find parking anywhere. Walked in and there was an enormous crowd of high schoolers packed in there. It took about 10 minutes to stand in line to order. I like that you can personalize your drink at Chatime and ordered a large Taro milk tea with pearls for my sister and a large grass jelly milk tea 80% sweet with less ice for me. I didn't get a receipt or order number so had to keep an eye for my drink order. The pros with this location is that it is one of the larger Chatime locations and has a bit of seating available, or it does when not invaded by High School or Langara students. There is free Wi-Fi available and once you wait to put in your drink order it is only a maximum 5 wait time until you get your bbtea. My grass jelly milk tea was still quite flavourful even with 80% sweet. The not so great about this location is the parking situation. You would either need to live or study/work close by to walk over to make use of this location. The Langara 49th SkyTrain station is close by but this Chatime location would be easy to miss for the commuters as it's a little tucked away. Blink and you will miss it walking or driving through. Today's service was also not as good due to a busy volume with only 2 staff employees working. They did their best but orders were slow, no receipts given, and no "thank you's". this review is based on a delivery of 2 bubbletea drinks at Chatime using a well known mobile delivery app. I've been to this chatime many times in the past and their service were usually friendly and the wait times were reasonable. I like that you can customize the amount of sugar and ice, the type of milk, and toppings when you order. On this visit, i ordered brown sugar bubble tea with less ice, extra brown sugar, a sort of sea salt cream they call crema, passion fruit jelly, and pearls/small chewy balls made of tapioca. My friend ordered the same drink. The drink was absolutely delicious. The mixture of VERY SALTY sea salt cream and the VERY sweet brown sugar gave very strong salty and sweet flavors in one drink. I love the taste of brown sugar in foods so it did not disappoint my brown sugar craving. The drink was not watery since i requested less ice but it was still quite cold. When i was done with the drink i was pretty full, and was pretty satisfied. (i ate a bit before that.) The passionfruit jelly was at the bottom of the drink and it was pretty refreshing because it gave a sort of fruity sweet jello flavor compared to the sugary sweet brown sugar flavor. The tapioca pearls gives an interesting chewy and sweet texture to the drink. If you order this drink, make sure to mix up the drink a little because the crema was all stuck at the top, the brown sugar at the middle, and the passionfruit jelly was at the bottom. If you eat the salty cream portion by itself it will taste wayyy too salty, and the brown sugar portion of the drink itself will taste wayyy too sweet. The prices of some of Chatime's drinks looked like they were marked up on the mobile delivery app because some of the drinks on the menu were as high as $8-9 each which is disappointing to see but not surprising since it's fairly common as far as i know. TL;DR: Overall, I know some bubbletea places in Vancouver that are priced better and tastes better for what you pay for so i'll give it a 4/5. But the brown sugar bubble tea plus the jelly and tapioca toppings mentioned above are a solid choice if you like very sweet and salty drinks. read more

This continues to remain true with their latest location near Oakridge. The menu is identical to all other locations which is great if you're looking for familiarity. This particular shop can accomodate 20 people or so with loads of free street parking outside of rush hour. I've been to this Chatime location many times since it opened and have never before had an issue. In the past few months (COVID times), I have been three times. Each time, I got the roasted milk tea with pearls, my standard order. EACH time, I was very disappointed - the tea was SO weak it was almost like drinking sweet watery milk with pearls in it. I kept giving them a chance because no one's perfect... but three times is my limit. New bubble tea joint in Oakridge! I came here during the grand opening where they had a bogofree pearl milk tea. The place was busy. Time from lineup to getting my drinks was almost an hour. This place has a nice seating area for hanging out with friends. I noticed that it has plugs below the windows so I'm guessing chatime designed it so that people can work on their laptops. The music is quite loud so it is a bit hard to hear conversations. I ordered Thai milk tea with grass jelly half sugar and no ice. The drink was good but nothing special imo. Grass jelly floats to the top and the actual tea was a bit on the watery side... I didn't taste much of the tea flavour. The pearl milk tea tasted better. New bubble tea place near Oakridge! I decided to check this place out and ordered the butterfly pea with green tea latte (50% sugar). It looked really interesting with the blue and white. They recommended me to not have any pearls with this one. Not sure what butterfly pea actually tastes like, but I enjoyed my choice. It wasn't overly sweet, and you could taste the green tea. Lovely to look at too. Overall, restaurant was clean, staff were polite, customisation of the sugar/ice is nice, and free WiFi is a plus. This location is extremely convenient in that it's literally across the street from the Langara-49th Canada line stop. I frequent this shop the most often and I've found the customer service and drinks to be on point every single time. It's also not that busy here (at least during the times I tend to go in) which means that my drink is done within a matter of minutes. My go-to drink is the roasted milk tea with half pearls and half grass jelly... At half the sweetness and ice level. The milk tea has a nice subtly bitter aftertaste and I love being able to enjoy my drink with pearls (that sink to the bottom) and then the grass jelly which tends to float at the top. Chatime has the best grass jelly that I've had and they make it themselves which is a huge plus in my books. The location is super clean and is a nice place to meet up with people. read more

I had moved close to Chatime and so of course I visited frequently. Especially after work when I'm tired and just need something to keep me going. So I went there a lot and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I've been to other locations before but I was never impressed by their drinks and yet, whatever I ordered at this location, they all turned out delicious. Things I hated from the other location I loved at this one so they are obviously doing something right. Delicious drinks aside, I was also impressed by the staff there. They are extremely friendly and kind, one of them, I think the manager, recommended me a drink that I got absolutely hooked on. No matter how busy it is, or how late, they are always friendly even though I'm sure they were tired at that point. Also, they are able to be quick, even when there's a long lineup. Chatime Langara Cambie Location. I ordered 4 drinks and asked the owner (guy) who works there to redeem my drinks and he wouldn't let me do it. He said I can redeem it per " transaction" only. He said I don't understand what transaction mean. So then I told him to separate my order with 4 "transaction" and he said this is not what he meant! Ok then don't say it that I can only redeem per one transaction. He also said you can redeem in the morning or night but not now !!! Seriously ! I just want to preface this review by saying that I completely understand the current situation everyone is faced with. It is a huge struggle for everyone, businesses are facing major challenges, and everyone is stressed. With that being said, I don't think that is an excuse to treat people with disrespect. I am a huge fan of the Chatime franchise. I have been a loyal customer since they opened their stores in Vancouver and I continue to enjoy their drinks and the customization. I have nothing against the franchise. I don't normally go to the Langara location, but this is the Chatime open that is closest to where I'm situated. The service from the staff was mediocre and nothing short of what I expected. HOWEVER, the manager or owner I encountered today at the Langara location was extremely rude. He spoke to me like I was an idiot when I was only clarifying substituting toppings for an order. I asked if there were different policies between different stores. I explained I have asked for substitutions at different stores without being charged. Instead of calmly explaining that it should be the same between all stores, he challenged what I was saying. He immediately (and very rudely) exclaimed that he would call up the owners of the other stores after I left. In a way, he insinuated that I was a liar and said he "is very close to the owners of other stores" and would call them to prove me wrong. I told him I didn't appreciate the tone he was using and that he was being very rude. He started arguing with me, shouting at me about why I thought I was right and why I was saying bad things about the customer service, which I felt was EXTREMELY off-hand for him to say. I did not say their customer service, I simply told him that I didn't appreciate that he was speaking to me rudely when I asked him to clarify the situation. I wasn't the only in the store who felt the service was awful. The couple behind me was clearly having trouble with their orders as well, but were brushed aside. While I understand everyone is upset about the current situation, it is NOT acceptable to be demeaning and degrading to anyone, regardless of how stressed you are. read more

This is by far our favourite Chatime location. They always offer service with a smile, and make sure to get all of the specifications of your drink correct. We have gone to many locations and this one is the most generous with toppings. Even when they are super busy with a long line, the level of service stays top-notch. We place most of our orders online now and our drinks are always ready when we arrive to pick-up. On a few occasions, I made mistakes ordering, and they are always more than happy to make things right; no eye-rolling or attitude like other places. A very convenient location to get bubble tea (it's super close to a skytrain station) and there is parking right in front of the store. It does get busy sometimes so parking may be hard to come by if its busier time. This store has a separate sitting area from the ordering area so its somewhat nice. I see quite a few students studying in the sitting area, which is understandable since this location is close to Langara (and somewhat to UBC) so seats are hard to come by and I end up taking my drinks to go. The drink quality and taste is consistent. However, I do find the bubbles here a bit harder (either undercooked or not fresh) so I try to avoid ordering the pearls here. read more

Chatime has been my favorite bbt place for a while now. I love how you can customize your sugar and ice levels (I'm a 50% sugar, 80% ice level kind of girl). The Roasted Milk Tea is a must have. This location is clean and the front staff friendly. I'm really happy that we don't have to drive out to Richmond for our bbt fix anymore, this location is very convenient for us. Normally I like this location. It's relatively close to home and saves me from lugging drinks on my commute home from work. This day in question, I went to the Langara location to redeem my free bday drink. I ordered a regular sized grass jelly roasted milk tea and a large honey jasmine green tea. Apparently she didn't hear me say large and I had to correct her. I paid and waited for my order. As I grabbed my bag, I noticed my green tea was not green. It was milky. I told the girl that my order was wrong and she took it from my hands. She didn't say anything nor did offer any type of an apology. Whether or not it was her fault because she didn't hear me or repeat the order. Perhaps it was my fault for not double checking the screen... Regardless... I felt like she had an attitude about it. So I watched her re-make my drink. And I noticed instead of pouring half syrup (as per my order) she poured in (I'm swear) 1 shot and a half. I also noticed that the milk tea version was a bit more expensive than the green tea. Normally I wouldn't have made it big deal but money is money and I asked for the difference back. She didn't seem too happy about doing that either. A day later I finally took a sip of the honey jasmine green tea and it was super sweet. New establishment in the area. We live nearby and there aren't many Btea places in he area (Little Tea House in Oakridge is bad). You can order online which makes it quick. For a new establishment it sure got busy quite quickly. The bubble tea itself is good. I've gotten several different drinks, including a smoothie, their Japanese teas, and a passion fruit drink and they've all been flavorful. A bit expensive but all bubble teas in Vancouver are about the same. I wish they wouldn't make us prepay in order to order online though, sucks to put 20 bucks on a card and you may not use all of it. It would also be nice if they eventually added food items to their menu and make it more of a snack joint. read more

Waited for a extremely long time for my drink, the taro milk tea is so flavorless also not sweet at all. They must put less materials than usual because it's buy one get one for free. It's not worth me over 1 hour to get his not tasty drink. NEVER come back again because there are a lot of other Chatime stores I can go to. read more
