    açai bowl

Love this spot for a quick açai bowl after pilates. You pick your own size and there's unlimited toppings! I'd say they're pretty filling and normally I love to add a scoop of peanut butter and protein powder into it and top it off with granola and fruits There aren't a lot of seating inside and they're are a few chair outside if it's not raining

Another solid snack from oakberry. The staff at this location is always friendly. I enjoyed making my own 12 oz acai bowl. I always love the chia pudding and fresh fruit!

I tried the Build Your Own acai bowl here after a run, and it was a perfectly refreshing and nutritious snack. The texture of the acai base is good, but definitely becomes more like a smoothie texture as it melts. I liked how we can choose unlimited toppings, including fresh berries! They serve the "bowls" in plastic cups--good take take on the go but it does feel a bit like eating a parfait and can get difficult distributing the toppings throughout the base. It was great to try but I will only revisit for special occasions due to the price. This Broadway location was roomy and clean with limited seating.

While Vancouver isn't necessarily the city I think of when I think of açaí, it's cool to see more açaí places appearing here. I was really craving it, so I decided to try oakberry. I went with the build-your-own option, which lets you pick an unlimited amount of toppings (cool!) It was overall satisfying and fulfilled my craving. The only downside was how expensive it was, but that's to be somewhat expected with açaí. I got the smallest size and it was still $12.60.

This spot was no different - I got the medium sized acai bowl with all the fruit, granola, and chia pudding and seeds.

I can see why there are so many add ons suggested on the app. This was just the base vehicle for everything else. 4/5 Spearmint Lemonade was good, considering how on occasion spirulina can taste like sea sludge. This was used very minimally and I actually loved the choice of ice which was solid with no holes and was filled up to the brim. Not the most bang for the buck however it was okay since this drink was on promo. Really friendly staff at this location, management may want to take not on consistency and be more transparent what is actually in a regular order of Hemp Caesar Salad.

They also have a few tables outside for days with nice weather. I ordered the Harvest macro bowl which was so yum. The tahini dressing and brown rice made for a filling and healthy dish. I also ordered the birdie bar (granola bar), and Coca-Cola substitute. Can't wait to return and try a protein shake and some more desserts from the case (all vegan and GF). Staff were super friendly too:)

We were in Kitsilano sometime earlier this summer when my daughter walked by a shop that was…read moreselling smoothies and acai bowls. She said she'd like to go back and try that sometime. I then suggested that we come back to Kitsilano but try Kokomo instead since I had some plant based deals for Kokomo and they sell the same kind of stuff. So we came and used out both my plant based deals. One was a BOGO free deal on summer drinks, and the other was 25% of any Kokomo bowl. My daughter got a Hibiscus lemonade, I got a Spearmint lemonade and we shared a Kokomo acai bowl which had frozen acai, berries, banana, raw granola (house-made), mint and toasted coconut. The drinks weren't bad but I wasn't blown away by them either. They were refreshing and thirst quenching for the hot summer day that it was. Don't think I need to try Spearmint lemonade again though. This was our first time trying and Acai bowl, and we are totally hooked on them now! I wanna learn how to make this at home now. It was so refreshing. Is there anything more satisfying than eating something that's healthy and tastes good too?! I suppose you could also just call it a smoothie bowl. As much as we enjoyed this combination, I could see us having a similar type of bowl at home and substituting the acai with some other kind of pureed fruit. 5/5 for the Kokomo acai bowl! Highly recommend it!

I love how their food combines the flavours of comfort food with healthy wholesome ingredients. They carry baked goods from TurF, many of which also offer a slightly healthier take on traditional baked goods without comprising flavour. And everything is vegan! Pretty small inside, but I really like the vibe. Somehow it kind of reminds me of a camper, maybe it's the shape... If that's not your thing there's a patio area outside with picnic tables which is also great for soaking in good weather when it's nice out.

Their restaurant is not too big so wouldn't recommend it for a big group. My friend and I both got their crispy chicken crepe - hers was tapioca (gluten free) and mine was traditional crepe. Both were soo good! The tapioca one had a different texture - it was a bit more chewy. Not a bad option if you are gluten free! We also got their nutellacino which was basically a nutella cappuccino! It was definitely as good as it tasted. Their menu was a lot different than the last time I came here (around 3 yrs ago) and I really liked all the new items they introduced. I would definitely consider this place again when I'm looking for a good brunch spot! Also their service was really fast! And they had a coat rack too :)

Holy smokes, the Acai bowls here are massive. We were soooo full. If we ever come here again, we will just share one bowl with each other. Not sure that we will come here again though. The Acai bowls weren't bad but I've had better. I feel it could have been a bit sweeter. I was not impressed with my mom's Avocado Toast. I could see my mother struggling to cut her Avocado Toast so it seems the crust was quite hard. She ended up leaving a lot of the crust on her plate and just ate the middle of the bread. On the website I had seen Avocado Toast, sandwiches, wraps and Salmon Lox Bagel. I was quite dismayed to walk into this place and not see any of that stuff written on the menu. There was a small sign by the cashier that said to ask about Avocado Toast. I guess by the same token, I would have had to ask about Salmon Lox Bagel. Why make us ask about it? Why not just include it on the huge menu that was up on the wall? Might have made life easier when it came to ordering something for my mom who isn't into Acai bowls like us. This place seems to be somehow shared with Bean Around the World coffee shop which is right next door. There's no wall separating the two shops. You can walk from Anchor Eatery straight into the coffee shop next door. We ended up taking our food and drinks from Anchor Eatery and sitting next door at Bean Around the World coffee shop. Assumed it was allowed since there was no separation between the two shops and nobody tried to kick us out of the coffee shop.
