We were in Kitsilano sometime earlier this summer when my daughter walked by a shop that was…read moreselling smoothies and acai bowls. She said she'd like to go back and try that sometime. I then suggested that we come back to Kitsilano but try Kokomo instead since I had some plant based deals for Kokomo and they sell the same kind of stuff. So we came and used out both my plant based deals. One was a BOGO free deal on summer drinks, and the other was 25% of any Kokomo bowl. My daughter got a Hibiscus lemonade, I got a Spearmint lemonade and we shared a Kokomo acai bowl which had frozen acai, berries, banana, raw granola (house-made), mint and toasted coconut. The drinks weren't bad but I wasn't blown away by them either. They were refreshing and thirst quenching for the hot summer day that it was. Don't think I need to try Spearmint lemonade again though. This was our first time trying and Acai bowl, and we are totally hooked on them now! I wanna learn how to make this at home now. It was so refreshing. Is there anything more satisfying than eating something that's healthy and tastes good too?! I suppose you could also just call it a smoothie bowl. As much as we enjoyed this combination, I could see us having a similar type of bowl at home and substituting the acai with some other kind of pureed fruit. 5/5 for the Kokomo acai bowl! Highly recommend it!

I love how their food combines the flavours of comfort food with healthy wholesome ingredients. They carry baked goods from TurF, many of which also offer a slightly healthier take on traditional baked goods without comprising flavour. And everything is vegan! Pretty small inside, but I really like the vibe. Somehow it kind of reminds me of a camper, maybe it's the shape... If that's not your thing there's a patio area outside with picnic tables which is also great for soaking in good weather when it's nice out.

Holy smokes, the Acai bowls here are massive. We were soooo full. If we ever come here again, we will just share one bowl with each other. Not sure that we will come here again though. The Acai bowls weren't bad but I've had better. I feel it could have been a bit sweeter. I was not impressed with my mom's Avocado Toast. I could see my mother struggling to cut her Avocado Toast so it seems the crust was quite hard. She ended up leaving a lot of the crust on her plate and just ate the middle of the bread. On the website I had seen Avocado Toast, sandwiches, wraps and Salmon Lox Bagel. I was quite dismayed to walk into this place and not see any of that stuff written on the menu. There was a small sign by the cashier that said to ask about Avocado Toast. I guess by the same token, I would have had to ask about Salmon Lox Bagel. Why make us ask about it? Why not just include it on the huge menu that was up on the wall? Might have made life easier when it came to ordering something for my mom who isn't into Acai bowls like us. This place seems to be somehow shared with Bean Around the World coffee shop which is right next door. There's no wall separating the two shops. You can walk from Anchor Eatery straight into the coffee shop next door. We ended up taking our food and drinks from Anchor Eatery and sitting next door at Bean Around the World coffee shop. Assumed it was allowed since there was no separation between the two shops and nobody tried to kick us out of the coffee shop.

At this branch, there is only one staff member, regardless of whether it's busy or quiet. She handles everything--preparing orders, assisting customers, and taking orders. She is extremely professional, friendly, and patient, even while managing everything alone. Big shout-out to her. One last downside: for some reason, napkins, spoons, and straws are unavailable 99% of the time. They are only brought out from behind the counter when an order is ready, and then taken back again, so you always have to ask for them. I was walking around with a sweatshirt and down jacket on all day when it wasn't actually that cold of a day. Started feeling kinda hot and so...felt like something refreshing for dinner. I had somewhere I needed to go to in the Brentwood area so the Tables food court at Brentwood was a convenient place to go for dinner, and and acai bowl from Oakberry was just what I needed to fill my tummy and cool me down at the same time. I ordered the Crunchy Signature bowl which came with acai, chia pudding, granola, strawberry, blueberry and cacao nibs. Super delicious and refreshing in every bite! Is there anything more satisfying than eating a meal that's healthy and delicious at the same time? Oakberry just became my new favorite at the Tables food court. I've had acai bowls in a bunch of places and I think Oakberry is one of my favorites now. Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free (You need to scan a QR code and register for the free parking)

Christmas Season Special Item - Christmas Tree Croissant and Kuegelhoph…read more Christmas tree croissant with red stripes filled with hazelnut pastry cream and bright passionfruit jam. Dough was very buttery and crispy. I could taste strong butter flavor which stood out. Passionfruit jam dominated over hazelnut cream. It lean on sweeter side. I prefer more hazelnut cream. However, the croissant itself was one of the best. Very delicious. Holiday Chocolate Kugelhopf~ dark chocolate sweet bread studded with chocolate chips, citrus peels, and almond praline, rolled in sugar. I really liked kugelhoph's dough and almond praline! It wasn't too heavy, lighter texture and praline wasn't too sweet. So, sugar coating paired with dough very well. I would like to get this one again! Overall, I really enjoyed both Christmas items. Their baking goods was always top notch.
