This place is tucked in with many stores in the aberdeen square, but it still attracted a good amount of people on a saturday noon. I got the chudai oreo matcha drink and thought it was just okay. I could taste the orea but not the matcha distinctively, and the whole drink just tasted really sweet to me. But i liked that there were tiny bites of mochi on the bottom, but other than that im not sure if i will return to this place.

Smooth!

Hidden gem! Smooth, creamy, well made milk tea. On the sweet side, so may want to go 50% sugar unless you have a sweet tooth. Taro ball was soft and chewy. When I went in the evening they ran out of the salted cream options so will need to go again!

Mine and my partner's go-to place in Richmond if we're wanting something sweet to drink other than bubble tea. We frequent this place every time we're at Aberdeen and every time we've gone, there has always been a line up. We normally get the Fresh Strawberry and Blueberry Slush with Salty Cream and my partner gets the Chudai Special Oreo Matcha and it always hits the right spot. The way they layer the drink in the cup always amazes me because it's like a work of art.

I was super excited to finally give Choo Tea a try! The Oreo Matcha might just be one of my new favourite bubble tea drinks. The bitterness of the matcha was just right. I chose 30% sugar, so it was only slightly sweet, but this was perfect for me. It came with pearls that tasted like honey and I enjoyed the tiny oreo bits at the bottom. It's such an aesthetically pleasing drink as well. I also tried the Purple Potato Milk with Potato Ball. The flavour was more subtle, but the potato balls were soft and chewy. Not bad, but I don't think I'd get this again.

This boba shop is tucked away in Aberdeen center where you gotta navigate your way through. But their jasmine milk tea with cream on top is so delicious. Aromatic flavor of jasmine with nutty cream flavor.

Choo Tea is a bubble tea shop located in Aberdeen Square. Choo Tea offers specialty drinks made with quality ingredients at a premium price. We decide to give the spot a try to see if they are worth the higher price point. The first thing that catches your eye when you visit their store front is their brightly coloured drinks. They have a large poster with a photo of some of their top drinks. The drinks here range from $5.50 to $6.55 depending on the size. The peach oolong tea was full of fresh peachy flavour! Even though Oolong is a robust tea, you could still smell the sweet peach. Grayson said the tea was lightly sweetened from the fruit but it had notes of bitterness from the oolong tea in the aftertaste. The Purple sweet potato milk with sweet potato balls is a drink I have yet to see anywhere else so I had to give it a try! The drink had purple sweet potato mash on the bottom and then it was topped with fresh milk. The sweet potato added a floral and sweet note to the drink. This added a completely different flavour profile than if it was a taro base. The sweet potato balls were chewy and similar to tapioca pearls in texture. This little drink was a hefty $6 so it did come with a premium price point.

We got the watermelon coconut jelly and overall it was okay but wished there was more watermelon flavor. Given the amount of bubble tea competition in the area, it is hard for them to stand out.

Blueberry strawberry cheese, matcha Oreo cheese

Solid bubble tea place located in Aberdeen Square. When I went the lineup was never empty. Lots of people waiting around for their drinks, with 2 people running the small store. I think to get our order took around 15-20 min which is okay for a busy bubble tea place. It opens up into the mall hallway so people were socially distanced while waiting and ordering. We got the strawberry blueberry cheese, and the matcha Oreo cheese. These were both aesthetically stunning, and tasted really good. Each drink was $6-7. Overall I would go again to try their other flavours, and possibly get these two again.

- chudai milk tea with pearl = $5.50 - 《Chungry Rating = 6.5/10》 Choo Tea is another bubble tea spot I've been excited to try! They are located on the 2nd floor of Aberdeen Square directly across from Preso Tea. Their chudai milk tea was not bad! The flavour of the tea was pretty good for a standard cup of milk tea, but not as strong as I would've liked. The pearls that were included were too sweet for my taste. I'm not sure why, but they almost tasted like brown sugar pearls! I did sneak a sip of their chudai special oreo matcha from my sister, and that drink was much more interesting. The flavour profile was more balanced in terms of its sweetness. I will have to go back another time and try their more unique drinks!

Passed by this once while I was walking through Aberdeen Square and decided to try since their drinks looked so cute! They are a small store front on the first floor of Aberdeen Square! They have a few selection of popular asian bubble tea, tea, and rice yogurt drinks but I decided to try their two most popular flavours, Oreo Matcha and Purple Potato Milk! Although their drinks are really interesting, they are also on the pricier side but their drink bottles for their specials are pretty tall too! Between the two, I preferred the Oreo Matcha because the flavour came through a lot more than the Purple Potato Milk which had a less fragrant flavour (Aside from the Yam balls inside the drink) I would recommend their fruit teas if you prefer less sweet drinks! Their Rice Yogurt is also not bad, but nothing particularly special more photos @eatswithcece

Original Milk Tea with Pearls

Choo Tea is locates by the main entrance of Aberdeen Square at the mezzanine. Funny enough, this is located right across from Presotea. The first time we went to Choo Tea, there was a long wait. We were told there was a 30 min wait for drinks and pearls were all sold out... The second time around we ordered the Milk Tea with Pearls and Roasted Milk Tea with Pearls. The milk tea was pretty decent. It had a very strong flavour and tasted exactly like HK style milk tea. The pearls were too soft (not chewy at all). The roasted milk tea was disappointing. Strangely, the roasted milk tea was paler than the original milk tea drink. There was no roasted flavour and frankly, hardly any tea flavour. Would I come back? Probably not especially if there is a long wait.

This place is super cute when it comes to their looks, and drinks itself. They have various fruit drinks, and its totally a hidden gem in Aberdeen. They are also on ubereats which makes it super easy to get where ever you are. * Fresh strawberry slush with cheese ($7.50) this is a nicely blended drink which honestly tastes like a cheesecake. Personally I thought it tasted more of blueberry than strawberry but im definitely not complaining. The drink itself was rich, and smooth. It wasn't too slushy which is good. It tasted super refreshing, but it was rich due to the cheese, which I'm assuming is cream cheese. * Chudai fruit tea ($7.50) this tea was refreshing and Passionfruit. It was cooling and delicious, ask for less sweet! The packaging was super cute but a bit hard to drink! * 8/10 - it's super delicious, but a little rich for my pallet. I love how refreshing it is, and how creamy it was. * 8/10 - price was a bit more than usual but not far from other places, the portion was a good size, and the design was pretty!

Fresh strawberry/blueberry slush with salty cream and Brown Sugar milk

Visited: Dec 12, 2019 Literally stumbled across this place when I was cutting through Aberdeen Square to get to Aberdeen Centre. I was drawn to the menu as it offered many items that piqued my interest; namely the purple concoction that has yam and taro and brown sugar milk. In the end, because I'm a sucker for brown sugar, I went with that. I also ordered the strawberry/blueberry fresh slush with salty cream for my companion because he's a sucker for salty cream fresh fruit slushies. The drinks look really colourful and pretty and I do like that they offer plant compostable straws. The brown sugar milk was good, they used Dairyland homo milk so it's not organic unlike some other BBT chains. The pearls were really good, great texture with a right chewiness consistency. I was impressed that the pearls were soaking in the milk for awhile and it still had flavour (I didn't drink my BBT until about an hour later) The strawberry/blueberry slush was "decent" per my companion. He mused that it reminded him of the same slush at ShareTea. The salty cream wasn't very intense but there was a lot of it in the slush. I ordered 30% sweetness and he said it was perfect. The place wasn't busy at all, there was nobody there at 7pm on a Thursday night. Unfortunately, the cashier did not acknowledge me for a few minutes and she seemed to be a bit peeved of the questions that I was asking (note to all: they have no loyalty card or stamp cards). Overall, a solid 3 stars. I would probably go back and try their purple concoction. Ordered: Brown Sugar Milk Fresh Strawberry/Blueberry Slush with Salty Cream

I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.

The walls are decorated with pictures from Europe and the teacups are very "British." Besides scone and tea, you can get regular food here as well such as fries, salt & pepper chicken, and radish cake to name just a few. You can also get cold drinks like juice & bubble tea, and bubble tea drinks here too. So...not your typical British style Afternoon Tea joint. Kind of half restaurant, half tea place. My friend had a pot of Leisure Fresh Fruit tea and a scone. We'd already had lunch a bit earlier and while my friend had room for a scone, I had zero room in my stomach for any food so I just had a pot of Longan Red Date tea. It was a cold day so a pot of hot tea really hit the spot. I thought it a bit pricy at first, but when the tea came, I saw that the teabags were Fortnum & Mason teabags. That is a very a prestigious company from all the way over in England. When I realized we were drinking Fortnum & Mason tea, all of a sudden $10.25 didn't seem so extravagant any more. My friend said her scone seemed like more of a biscuit than a scone. It came with butter and jam. I think she wished there had been some clotted cream to go with it. I can't say too much about the food as I only had one pot of tea but I was impressed that it was Fortnum & Mason tea, and I very much enjoyed the flavor of the Longan & Red Dates in my tea.

This location is the one I tend to come across the most cause I usually am visiting the mall. The shop sticks out with it's red design. It's just a pretty small boba vendor shop that's kind of hidden away. The menu is basically a screen running a video so that it animates and loops. There's quite of a selection of drinks on it though. Most of them are on the sweeter side with their cookies and cream shake. They've got a lot of crazy drinks going on, but I'm a simple man that likes his simple drinks and lately, I've been very much into the #8 fresh jade lemon green tea. Because the drinks are pretty sweet I usually adjust it to like 75% sweetness. I also adjust the ice level to get more for my buck and ask for less ice. Hard to judge boba shops in my opinion. Especially since any adjustments I make to my drink is on me and not on the shop. Service was quite fine. Only one person was on the job when I was there, but I've seen two people there before. One to make drinks and the other manning the cashier. Overall, I thought my drink turned out fine. Just have to adjust by trial and error to get the right sweetness down for yourself. If you come across one of these shops, check it out.
