Since they've opened here, I've been to several different locations and the standards of drinks are consistent. Each bubble tea place is known for one or two recommended popular drinks. At Jenjudan you need to get their brown sugar pearl drinks. The brown sugar pearl milk is the standard, and it's a solid option and you are able to substitute soy milk at no charge! This allows those who are lactose intolerant to try brown sugar pearls :) The pearls are not too sweet (and sugar level is adjustable, which is not possible at most other places) and have a good chewy texture. The milk is well milk, but it pairs well as you stir the pearls to flavour it. I prefer the brown sugar pearl milk at Xingfutang as its not straight milk and creamier. My favourite drink here though is the Thai tea brown sugar pearls as I like that little extra tea flavour mixed together with the milk and pearls...Yum!

We ordered four drinks during my second visit here. All of them were mild and didn't have much tea flavour. Everyone in our group was disappointed. Even the Oreo drink did not taste as good this time around. I had initially thought the lack of flavour issue was due to the Thai Tea drink itself, but after this second visit, it seems to be the case for the majority of their drinks (at least currently). Now that I've tried a larger sample of their drinks, I can't recommend this location and will give them another shot at a later point in time to see if they've improved.

Jenjudan 珍煮丹 is the newest Taiwanese bubble tea chain to enter the Vancouver brown sugar pearl scene. I visited Jenjudan 珍煮丹 for the first time a couple of weeks ago at their Richmond location. I loved my drinks that I decided to give them a revisit at their Burnaby Kingsway location! The store front is similar to the Richmond location. There isn't any seating inside the cafe but there are bar tables. I assume that there are normally chairs there but they were removed due to the pandemic. The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the cafe was the big wall of tea! They have a real menu but you can select your teas by looking on the wall too!

Jenjudan (珍煮丹) is a popular Taiwanese bubble tea shop. It developed its signature brown sugar recipe, and it specialized in "brown sugar pearls". We have finally made our move to try it. We ordered two of their favourite drinks (Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea 黑糖珍珠鮮奶茶 and Thai Brown Sugar Pearl Milk tea 泰泰珍珠鮮奶茶) at its Kingsway location. We have high expectations, but it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered with 50% sweetness, and the sugar level was met our standard. Unfortunately, the pearls were extremely poor. It was lack of gumminess and lack of the caramelized brown sugar flavour. Drink: 2/5 Optional Service: ‍‍‍3/5 Kids: 2/5 A-OK for kids. Known for being a healthier bubble tea options and using only natural ingredients, Jenjudan is specializing in brown sugar bubble tea drinks. After seeing a BOGO promotion on Ubereats, I have decided to give this place another try. Previously, I went to Jenjudan for their other drinks but I was never a fan of their milky drinks. I tried their Thai Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Pearl Milk. I found their milk is not as creamy as I wanted it to be, so it was a deal-breaker for me. This time, I decided to try their Original Taiwanese Flavors; Winter Melon Tea with Brown Sugar Pearls. I was trully amazed by the quality of the tea and the pearls! The tea has strong winter melon taste, and the pearls were chewy and cooked to perfection. On another note, I think 50% sugar is too sweet for me, I will get 25% next time! Recommended!

I think this is one of my top 3 fav bbt places right now in Vancouver!!! was not disappointed, I have come here a few times already since landing here. I love the Thai milk tea! I never got good Thai milk tea in Toronto unless I was at a restaurant and even then it is rare, sometimes ya girl just wants the drink with some sweet pearls and here it is ! ^_^ Sometimes late at night, I don't want anything milky so I'll opt for a tea instead! This chrysanthemum tea was delish! Good balance of refreshing and sweetness. I will definitely be coming back here time and time again.

Very disappointed......it is not jenjudan at all. Milk tastes very plain and pearls are too sweet...

A new addition to bubble tea places in the Joyce area. Known for their brown sugar drinks and in particular they're Thai brown sugar milk tea. Jenjudan is definitely one of the better options for brown sugar bubble tea. I suggest getting 70% sugar or lower as 100% is way too sweet. I really like their brown sugar milk as the pearls had a good syrup to them and were chewy. I also had a and green tea latte macchiato which I also loved since the tea quality was strong the the cream was slightly sweet and just different. I enjoyed the Thai milk tea as well but its a little misleading as it definitely does NOT taste like real Thai tea. The tea isn't strong and just taste more sweet than anything else, not bad though. On average the drinks cost $6-$7 per drink so more on the expensive side.

I really enjoyed the Thai Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea flavour as well as the Oreo Brown Sugar Milk Tea. They are so flavourful and creamy. I have yet to try other drinks they have available.

I find this location really inconsistent compared to the others. The brown sugar pearls here don't taste sweet nor have any brown sugar flavour. Mind you they charge $1 for "brown sugar pearls". The Thai Milk Tea is my "go to" drink, which I have tried at the Vancouver Downtown and Richmond locations. The one I got here had no brown sugar flavour like they forgot to add sugar to the pearls. In addition, I usually get my drink without sugar and this one my bf bought me was supposed to be 50% sweet. However, I didn't find it very sweet.

Selections are decent. however the menu is very confusing as they have a posted menu online, a digital menu via QR code and some posted menus. Unfortunately the menus were not in sync. My friend saw a couple of things she wanted to try from the online menu and was told they do not have those items. There are combo on the spot which are not their online menu and the digital menu. We ordered the chicken panini, a small mango bingsu and an order of tue mochi bubble waffle and taro milk tea. The food is very good. there is decent amount of ingredients in the chicken panini (which i forgot to take a picture of). The mochi bubble waffle was decent and i liked the taro milk tea as well. The bingsu was very well made but the price is a bit on the high end given the size. Overall service was good too

A fun hole in the wall dessert spot x flower shop!…read more Essentially there's a dessert counter in a shared space with a flower shop operated by the one owner - super adorbable concept, the boss was so nice to introduce his menu to us as well! Located on the same block as quite a few other popular HK dessert spots, I more inclined to go to Rose Cafe because it's quieter and a more comfortable environment to relax and sit around in. The boss mentioned they can make anything for us (!) including ginger milk, the sago desserts and that they event have the pistachio paste (yum!). For a quick dessert run - I opted for the small mango shaved iced, it's served with nice and ripe mango chunks, and a fresh mango shaved ice base. For just about $10 it's worth the dessert stop! They had a nice menu of several classic HK items - from deep fried chicken wings, to bubble waffles to pearl based drinks that only HK locals would order. Worth a try if and when you're in the Nanaimo / Kingsway area! Also (!) - very reasonably priced flowers and potted plants!!!

This is one of the better boba spots I have tried in Richmond where they have some creative drinks…read moresuch as the ones with panna cotta and mochi. I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.
